Copy music from Nano to IPhone

I want to know how to copy music from my nano to my IPhone and my laptop. I have 7 gb of music on my Nano and would like it on all 3 devices.

Here’s how:
Connect your iPod — Warning! if iTunes loads when you plug in your iPod, and is set to automatically sync your entire library (erasing your iPod), you MUST stop it — hit the little “X” in the upper right hand corner of the window.
Open your iPod — It should show up on “My Computer” as a “Mobile Device”; right click and choose “Explore”. Alternatively, go to the Control Panel, Portable Media Devices, and double-click your iPod.
Unhide the files — By default, Windows hides hidden files and folders (thus the name). Go to Options (in the Tools menu), and on the View tab, check “Show Hidden Files and Folders”.
Find the Music — The music is stored (in current iPods) in the directory “\iPod_Control\Music”. This may have a lot of odd looking stuff in it — it doesn’t matter; select everything and drag and drop them to a folder on your hard drive.
Configure iTunes — Go into iTunes Preferences, and under the Advanced tab, check “Keep iTunes Music Folder Organized” and “Copy files to iTunes Music Folder when adding to the library” (settings move around a bit between versions of iTunes, but these settings will be there somewhere).
Add Your Files — In iTunes, select File, Add Folder to Library, and select the folder where you copied the files from your iPod. Alternatively, just drag and drop this folder onto iTunes
OR
just search google for a program to rip the music from your ipod

  • Can't copy music from iTunes to iPhone

"iTunes cannot add any songs to the iPhone because it already contains all the songs in your iTunes library". I don't have ant music in my iphone, becouse i erased it to make more photos in my vacation. Now i have the memory required, but it doesn't copy.
When i hit autofil, this is what i get .. don't know what to do.
I tried to drag them manually in the "music" part of the iPhone, but doesn't work either

    Update:
I saw that if u put new tracks in my "music" folder in iTunes, and try to copy them to my iPhone only the new tracks are being copied.
And i don't get the  "iTunes cannot add any songs to the iPhone because it already contains all the songs in your iTunes library" message
So i changed all my tracks number ( select all -> right click -> get info and change something that's not so importing for all of them )
After that, they are diferent so my itunes is copying them to my iPhone.
Well, this it's not a christian way to solve this, but it's working.
    If anyone has better ideas..
PS: my USB cable it's damaged ( it's not making the contact with my iPhone very good, so i'm afraid to re-instal my IOS until i buy a new cable )

  • COPY MUSIC FROM IPOD TO IPHONE

How can I get my music from my ipod to my iphone? Also calendar, photos etc

Music: If it's not already on computer iTunes, you need a 3rd party tool to transfer the music from iPod to computer. Syncing is one way only Computer -> iPod, iPhone, iPad (Exception: music purchased directly from iTunes using Apple devices can transfer without 3rd party tool).

  • Copy music from my old iphone to my new iphone

Looks like iTunes won't actually save the music and video files, including playlists in the back-up and implement in the restore proceedure. Re-typing all the playlists and copying files manually is a pain, and I don't trust iTunes to manage this within the iTunes Library.  Good way to move music, including playlists, into the new phone?

Hi Templeton: Thanks for reply.  When I do back-up of old phone, and respore to new phone, that works but it does not do anything with music or video files.  iTunes seems to only copy music and videos one way (unless purchased via Apple). I could create separate iTunes music playlists and then do synch as you have stated, but is not what I was asking. I prefer not to have iTunes manage my data (don't trust apple on upgrades) and don't really want to keep 2 copies (one protected and one for iTunes library). Thanks.

How do you transfer music purchased in Itunes from your PC to your Iphone? This was much easier to do with earlier versions of Itunes than the current version.

  • How can I copy music from iTunes to a 2nd iPhone 5?

I have my own iPhone 5 that i have synced and set up with my itunes on my macbook pro.  My wife recently got an iphone 5 (thru her work) that i want to copy music from my itunes library to her phone.  We share the same itunes acct and she is able to make purchases with it and download songs that i have purchased via itunes to her phone.  I would like to manage and copy over addiontal music (most of which i had bought on my own and imported into itunes) and copy playlists etc to her phone.
She has not synced her phone to my (or any) computer. When i hook up her iphone to my macbook and open itunes, it prompts me to "set up new iphone" either as a brand new phone or from a backup.  can i get around this, so i can manage the music on her iphone without deleting and "setting up from scratch her phone"?  I have read that i can manually manage everything on her phone separately from my phone... so her apps aren't on my phone and vice versa?  I really just want to put my music on there.
I have heard of some other apps (ie songbird) but prefer to keep everything working under itunes.
    Thanks

Not brand new... New to that Mac's iTunes. For registration if you will...
Setup the iPhone as a new device to get past the initial part. iTunes will know that the device is already set up and you can go from there.

Assuming you are not manually managing your music, verify the following:
You are using the latest version of iTunes
On the summary tab of your iTunes sync settings you have checked "Sync only checked songs and videos"
In your music library you have checked all the songs you want to sync to your phone
There are no exclamation points next to any of the songs you want to sync to your phone
You have authorized your computer for all Apple IDs for purchased music you want to sync to your phone (in Store>Authorize this computer)
You have checked "Sync Music" on the Music tab of your iTunes sync settings
When everything looks correct, sync your phone.

  • How do I copy music from my iPhone 4 to itunes?

I am new to Apple iPhone and I am trying to develop my understanding of my new iphone 4 and generally how things work. Can anyone kindly tell me, if I were to purchase music from itunes on my phone, how do I then copy the music that is on my phone to itunes? What are the steps involved? Please can you make your explainations clear as you are replying to a complete novice. Any feedback would be much appreciated, thank you.

You can transfer music from your iTunes library to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process, or you can manually manage and transfer music to your iPhone without syncing.
With Sync Music selected under the Music tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes and transferring music to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process, after purchasing music direct with your iPhone, the music will be copied to your iTunes library on your computer automatically the first time you sync your iPhone with iTunes after doing so.
Manually managing and transferring music is manual all the way. Everything must be done manually including manually copying music from your iPhone that was purchased from the iTunes store.
