How can I enable that?
Blackberry is my business need, and I operate my emails on both laptop and blackberry. How can I follow up on a sent email from my laptop if I dont have a copy of it with me over there?
PLEASE HELP URGENTLY.
Thanks.

First what kind of server are you connected to for your email(s), POP, IMAP, or Exchange Acitve Sync (EAS)
The reason why the new BB10 device are not working like the previous generations of BlackBerry device, is because the BB10 device are not using BIS any more, and are now working directly on the server, what this mean is that there is no message(s) that are stored on the device itself, everything is being acted on at the server.
If you use a IMAP or EAS server, most likely the serverhas a copy of your sent email(s) in folder on the server (usually called sent or sent item), and you can also configure most server to keep a copy of the sent email, and some can even be confirgure to do a CC to any email adress you want.
For the POP server that is more tricky because ir is older technology, and therefore less flexible

    Pop account

Check your mail preferences. The example below is from the mail app that comes with mac. In my case I'm using yahoo mail which is a POP3 account. POP stands for post office protocol which is the set of rules used by a POP mail account to transfer mail. You can learn more about it here if interested. If the box below is checked, all the mail will be downloaded to your computer when you check your mail using the built in mail app and removed from the mail server. Here is another page to help you set up your hotmail account for use the the mac mail application. Hope this clears things up.

Welcome to RIM's BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
You've posted a message in the Forum Feedback and Ideas board / topic. If you're looking for assistance on something with your BlackBerry handheld you'd be best posting in a more appropriate section such as the General BlackBerry Smartphone Functions and Features.
That said, do you want to stop it or do you want the message hidden?  You could disable redirection for Sent Items ... Message Options >  Email Setting > (push in trackwheel) Folder Redirection and uncheck sent.
You could also just Hide Sent Messages to keep this functionality but hide them by default under Message Options > General Options
If you've found a solution through a post; please mark it as a solution.

  • Forward a copy of sent emails to a different address?

Is it possible when sending emails using Mail to automatically send a copy to a different email address?
I see you can Cc: & Bcc: copies to yourself (same email address) in Mail's Compose Preferences, but not to a different email address.

Follow these instructions, but using Bcc instead of Reply-to.

  • How can I export (just copy all of email sent) all emails from outlook 2001

    Hi,
I have a macbook pro 10.8.4 and I would like to know how to copy all of emails that were sent from my outlook 2011. Please help ..

    Hi daviddonald!
I believe that the best option for getting your email into the Mail program will be by exporting your email from Outlook as an .mbox format, and then importing that into mail. An article about completing this procedure can be found right here:
Mac OS X Mail: How to transfer downloaded email from a non-Mac computer
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1534
If you are just transitioning from using Outlook on your Mac to using Mail on your Mac, then you will want to ignore the parts of that article that deal with transferring the .mbox file to another computer. Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

  • Email sent but no copy in "sent" box?

I've replied a email through company email account on my iphone. I am sure it is sent and there is a replied arrow displayed on the original mail. However it is not shown in the "sent" mail box, not on the phone, not on the server. Can anybody adivce how to make my iphone send a copy to "sent box" onto the server?
    much appreciated

I have a similar problem. Does the problem go away if you restart your Mail application ("Quit Mail", not close window)? It does for me.
It would appear that the synchronization code between the imap client in Mail and the imap server get out of sorts and Mail no longer attempts to connect to the server. It does not put up the icon to denote that the server is unreachable, it simply stops connecting to the server.

Ok, I am not sure where you checked on your PC... you need to check at the actual POP email server.

Whenever i send new email or reply to any of my emails, after sending it one copy of sending email i see in my inbox folder and one copy of it in sent folder?
I don't want copy of it in any of my Inbox folders as well in unified folders.

Is 'Place a copy in Sent folder' checked?
If so, where does it point to?

  • IPhoto '11 does not save a copy of your sent emails in your email program.

I sent an email today through iPhoto and was very disappointed that it did not put a copy of my sent mail in my Mac Mail program. This is not good for me as I often refer to my sent mails.
Is there a work around for this?

Annabelle's answer is correct but to clarify:
you need to select one of photos you sent
press info button on right bottom corner
now opens a right-side panel where in sharing area you can see the email header, click that to get to the sent email
    thanks

  • Sent emails, I would like to auto-copy myself. I could with former blackberry

How do I program my sent email to auto copy myself?

There is no setting for this on the handset. With BBOS on BIS this could be set in BIS for a given email account, but there is nothing comparable for BB10.

  • Copying sent emails using Outlook Express to my ON...

I know that one can keep copies of emails received on Outlook Express on the online BT account, but is it possible to have copies of emails sent on Outlook Express kept on my online BT account?

    CharlieSugar wrote:
A solution, although one (when online) needs to then file sent emails from the inbox. Surely there must be an easier way? (Thanks for thinking 'out of the box' though)
Standard SMTP/POP3 has no notion of folders, but there is an easier way - IMAP.
Unfortunately BT/Yahoo don't officially provide an IMAP service, but I've had some sucess using Yahoo!, although I've not tried with OE.

  • Is it possible to save drafts of commonly sent email letters?

I have several form letters I need to keep for regular use. Right now I'm copy pasting from previous sent emails but I'm sure there must be a way of saving them somehow.
Is there a way to do this in Mail?

you can save them as stationery. while composing a new message go to file menu->save as stationery. to use it, start a new message and click on "show stationery" in the toolbar. the one you made will be in the custom stationery section.

  • Transfer Sent Email to Another Mac

I have a G4 laptop that I travel with. I often send email from this computer which end up appearing in the Sent file. I would love to transfer (copy) these individual sent emails (not the entire Sent file) to my desktop Mac Pro also running Mail.
Any help and I will worship you!
    Thanks

Well, you could copy the /Home/Library/Mail/Mailboxes/Sent.mbox/ folder to the other computer. If you prefer not having to re-copy the folder all the time then use any synchronization tool to simply sync the two folders. This should only copy new or changed files. Of course you will need some way of connecting the two computers. This could be done via your local network with file sharing enabled on one of the computers (or both.) Or you can connect the two via FireWire if it's supported on both computers. You could use Target Disk Mode or Mac OS X 10.5 Help- Using IP over FireWire.
A better alternative is to convert your email service from POP to IMAP. All mail is stored on the IMAP server. Thus, each computer sees exactly the same mail folders regardless of whether one or both are online. This eliminates any need to sync or copy files between computers. This is easy to do if your email ISP supports IMAP accounts. Simply change your email account to IMAP, then create a new IMAP account in Mail.

  • How to export sent email from n8?

    Hi,
I'm using the standard email application on my N8 (no Anna yet) with a POP3&SMTP account. I need to export the messages I sent with my N8. They are stored in two "sent" folders
I need to import these messages into the email software on my computer or an email account on a server.
How is that done? I could not find any export tool in the Nokia Suite, the PC Suite or N8 itself. There is a "Best MessageStore" app in the Store, but it only creates plaintext or CSV files, which I can't import anywhere.
I could use an IMAP folder, but I could not find a way to change the current setup from POP3/SMTP to IMAP. I can create a new account with new folders on the phone, but then I don't know how to copy the old email messages into that new IMAP folder.
Furthermore, I tried importing the email messages to a Nokia N9, but the import routine seems to ignore email messages.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you!

Belle is the first version that lets you move items out of the Sent folder into other folders.
The Suite will take a backup of your message store before upgrading to Belle and restore it afterwards. You could then move items in the Sent into other IMAP folders.
You also might find NbuExplorer on Sourceforge.net useful, it allows you to look inside the backup files taken by Nokia Suite. You could backup the message store and examine it without needing to upgrade to Belle if you're not upgrading for a reason.
Your messages are stored in C:\Private\1000484b but you don't have permission to view them yourself with the File Manager unless you've jailbroken first.

  • Send copy of incoming email to

Does anyone know how to configure the mail server to Send copy of incoming email to a specified email. Thank you!
e.g. I got 3 colleagues in support team and their email addresses are [email protected], [email protected] and [email protected] Any email send to their addresses will be sent a copy to [email protected]
    Thank you!

You need to set up a forwarder in the postfix system used by OS X Server to handle mail.
It is quite straightforward to set this up if you are familiar with using command line / terminal to configure your machine.  If you are not sure about this mode of using OS X Server, you may need to find an alternative method.
Assuming you logged into the server as an Administrator, the way to do it is as follows:
    1) On your server, open a terminal window and switch into 'super user' mode by typing su at the prompt.  You will be asked to give the password for your account, and if successful you'll see the command prompt change (from something ending in a $ sign to something else ending in a # sign)
    2) Open the file virtual_users in the directory /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix for editing.  I use nano - but you can use whatever editor you prefer for this - e.g.
    nano /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/virtual_users
    3) In this file (which is probably blank / empty when you start) type in the following information for each of your users that you are trying to forward mail from (obviously you'll need to correct the email addresses first!)
[email protected]    [email protected]    [email protected]
[email protected]     [email protected]    [email protected]
[email protected]   [email protected]    [email protected]
    4) Now you need to process the file to put it in a form that postfix can read, do so by typing in the following
    postmap /Library/Server/Mail/Config/postfix/virtual_users
    5) Now you need to restart postfix so that it uses your new settings
    postfix reload
    6) Now just type exit into the terminal to leave SU mode and you are done.  Test your email addresses, but it should "just work".
The clever bit is the postfix virtual_users file.
In that file, you put the email address you want to play with first on the line, and then you can put as many other email addresses after it (with spaces between): postfix will forward messages sent to the first address to each of the addresses in the list.
Most normally this system is used to set up 'forwarding' systems - so if you want one email to go to another this is what you do.  But if you want to do this and keep a copy, simply repeat the original email (i.e. the one at the start of the line) in the list that follows, and a copy goes to that one too.  Postfix is clever enough to not get into a tail-spin - it doesn't loop back and send a copy of the copy or anything.
    Hope this helps.
