Copy option...

It occurs to me that several major categories of
gripes about aperture could be trivially addressed if
aperture were capable of something new.
The new thing would be to take a version and convert
it into a master. I'm thinking here of rendering a
version and storing the rendering as a master, akin
to an export/import, done all as part of a drag.
Aperture does that today if you use the "Open in External Editor" command. The file generated (PSD or TIFF, your choice) is treated as a new master.
One of the complaints about aperture is performance.
And much of that is due to dynamic rendering of
adjustments when we're used to simple static
adjustments. With an automatic copy-on-change sort
of command, (akin to the option allowing new
versions on adjustments), we'd end up with something
akin to static changes, (at the cost of more disk
space).
It's true it's faster to do things on a version which is basically a flattened representation of an edited version. And you can always throw it away and re-generate it if you change the "real" version.
Similarly, there are a number of complaints about the
fact that "versions" aren't natively available on
disk. Can't edit them directly, can't sync ipod to
them, can't navigate those portions of the aperture
library with other tools, etc.
If there were something akin to a
"save-versions-as-masters" folder, then those folders
could be used directly for ipod sync, navigation by
foreign apps, etc.
For what you are saying here, you could also just export out to a folder. Or, you can simply go into the Aperture library itself and edit the files in the library directly.

Disable download a copy option for pdf files in SharePoint 2013

We need to disable Download A Copy option of Document library for few users of our site.
We have provided them View Only rights which disables download for other files except PDF files.

As the “Download A Copy” button was available when the users(View Only permission) clicked a PDF file, you can try to hide the “Download A Copy” option based on user permissions.

I have a servet which displays the pdf files which is stored in a server. That is happening perfectly. But now i need to disable the pdf save copy all those options is that is possible through my servlet. i can control right click and ctrl c using java script but i don't know how i can handle the save as copy option. Any idea ???

Copy option in iBooks app has disappeared

I just discovered that the copy option in iBook app disappeared (in the same book). Not the first time, in the past had to reinstall the application to appear again but this time not served.

Where did my "Copy" Option Go!?

OK. I Have no idea where my COPY option went when i right click. Nor where to find it! And since i don't know where it is or how to get it back, i have no way of copy and pasting things withing web pages and programs when i want to quote somebody with out the hassle of typing it down my self on word pad. Sometimes ( and i don't know why) it does come up.....but i don't know what i do for it to come back it just randomly does it. ONE thing i did notice is that when the copy option comes up again its mostly when i have a lot of words highlighted. Any help would be amazing and appreciated! Thank yoU!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Version Copy options - Need advice

Hi Gurus,
I have a question about version copy options in APO.
We have a situation where 000 is shared by two businesses with their own set of master data. One of the businesses uses a similation version X to do their planning and use a custom program to copy planned orders from X back into the live version 000.
Due to some human error, we have a situation where X has a copy of the 000 for one business but doesnt have accurate numbers in the 000 itself (RLCDEL was run after 000 was copied into the simulation version X)
I have to find a way to copy back X into 000 WITHOUT deleting current contents of the 000 for the other business.
The report /SAPAPO/VERSION_COPY_PAR deletes everything in the target version before copying from the source.
Is there a way to selectively copy orders from one version to the other without deleting other data?

In transaction /SAPAPO/VERCOP, if you select copy scope as "copy master
data and transaction data" and restrict your copy details by providng
the filter criteria with the following, you can do it.
1) DP or SNP
2) Order Data
3) Order stock
4) Order cateogy
5) Product
6) Location
7) Plannerwise
8) Period etc.,
In this case, it deletes only the entries you have deleted from target version
and copy the new data
Please confirm whether it works for you

Match (X) or Copy
If the SAP delivery version and the active version can be matched, a checkbox is displayed in this column.
With the most important object types, the active version and the SAP delivery version can be matched.
From a technical point of view, the SAP delivery version (D version) is matched with the M version. As in most cases the M version is identical to the active version (A version) in a customer system, this is referred to as a match between the D and A versions for reasons of simplification.
When a match is performed, particular properties of the object are compared in the A version and the D version. First it has to be decided whether these properties can be matched automatically or whether this has to be done manually. A match can be performed automatically for properties if you can be sure that the object is to be used in the same way as before it was transferred from Business Content. When performing matches manually you have to decide whether the characteristics of a property from the active version are to be retained, or whether the characteristics are to be transferred from the delivery version.
Example of an automatic match
Additional customer-specific attributes have been added to an InfoObject in the A version. In the D version, two additional attributes have been delivered by SAP that do not contain the customer-specific attributes. In order to be able to use the additional attributes, the delivery version has to be installed from Business Content again. At the same time, the customer-specific attributes are to be retained. In this case, you have to set the indicator (X) in the checkbox. After installing the Business Content, the additional attributes are available and the customer-specific enhancements have been retained automatically. However, if you have not checked the match field, the customer-specific enhancements in the A version are lost.
Example of a manual match
An InfoObject has a different text in the A version than in the D version. In this case the two versions have to be matched manually. When Business Content is installed, a details screen appears which asks you to specify whether the text should be transferred from the active version or from the D version.
The Match indicator is set as default in order to prevent the customer version being unintentionally overwritten. If the Content of the SAP delivery version is to be matched to the active version, you have to set the Install indicator separately.
The active version is overwritten with the delivery version if
¡ the match indicator is not set and
¡ the install indicator is set.
In other words, the delivery version is copied to the active version.
If the Install indicator is not set, the object is not copied or matched. In this case, the Match indicator has no effect.
In the context menu, two options are available:
a. Merge All Below
The object in the selected hierarchy level and all objects in the lower levels of the hierarchy are selected as to Match.
b. Copy All Below
The Match indicators are removed for the object in the selected hierarchy level and all objects in the lower levels of the hierarchy. If the Install indicator is also set, these objects are copied from the delivery version to the active version.
The most important properties which are taken into account when versions are matched are now listed.

What does the "copy" option do in "camera roll"?

Forgive me, I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'm really puzzled--with iOS 7 in Camera Roll, when you select a photo and tap the little box-up-arrow icon at the lower left side, you get about two dozen options, "Message", "Mail", "iCloud", etc. on the first line, and "Copy", "Slideshow", "AirPlay", etc. on the second line. I understand the first line options, but I don't understand what the "Copy" option is supposed to do. I'm assuming when you tap it the picture is copied into a buffer so you could then paste it into something, like preferably a spot on the camera roll in order to create a duplicate of the photo. That's exactly what I'd like to do, but there's no obvious way to paste it anywhere at all. So what am I overlooking here?

She knows that. She was asking how to duplicate.
The only thing I can think of is pulling it into another app and doing it a "Save As" on it. Perhaps photoshop express might do the trick.

Print/Copy Options in Dreamweaver 8

I am a new user in Dreamweaver 8 and I want to print the Design content. I see that the only option available in Dreamweaver 8 is the Print code.
Also when you copy paste the design content in word, it pastes as text and does not paste as the design content.
Our website content is just simple tables for ISO.
Can anyone please share a way to print/copy the design content?

How to prevent the "save a copy" option

using Acrobat Pro 7.0
When I set the security to "don't allow editing", and open the pdf with Acrobat reader, the save button is disabled, as expected.
But when I place this same pdf on a webpage, using code shown below, when the pdf displays within the browser, a "Save a copy" button allows the file to be saved. How do I prevent my file from being saved when I show it in the webpage ? I only want the user to view my pdf on a web page - not saving and printing.
