Copy or clipboard errors in Illustrator CC

We are getting far too often, when we copy vectors within the same document to another pasteboard - where the image we've copy distorts slightly, so annoying. Anyone else had this issue??? Or know of a fix..
as we have some design files that require this.. and this keeps stuffing up our clean designs. Same happens with outlined type.. very frustrating.

That helps with Scaling.. but now getting errors when using Pathfinder. See image.
Left is a stand vector image.. but when select 'exclude' from Pathfinder.. it instantly distorts it.
We've tried compound paths, expanding - everything... can't get it to work right.

I'm running a Citrix Presentation Server 4.5 environment, based on Windows Server2003 and providing Adobe Reader as a published application (this issue appears with Adobe Reader 7 and Adobe Reader 8 equally).
Sometimes when trying to copy test from a pdf document, the error message "There was an error while copying to Clipboard. An internal error occurred." appears. The selected text is still copied to the clipboard, so the message seems to be more of a warning, but it's confusing for the end-users. This happens equally when copying via 'Ctrl-C' or with the mouse (right-click & copy).
It is not a problem with the document itself since sometimes the error appears and sometimes not on the same document. This happens for all documents I've tried so far.
Additional information: On the servers also MS Office 2003 SP3 is installed. I have the feeling that it may be an interference with the Office Clipboard, but I can't put my finger on it...
Please, has anyone found a solution for this?

in windows 7
start-control panel-uninstall programs
uninstall the "Skype Click to Call", this will uninstall addins from ie, firefox, you dont have to uninstall skype.
in ie and firefox you can disable addons but can not uninstall them using ie or firefox interface, when you uninstall Skype Click to Call, it will remove it from all added browsers.
This works me now.

Unfortunately skype trick does not work.
I recently switched to windows 8 and reliazed that there is no copy error any more.

This error maybe caused by Babylon dictionary which has an Adobe Acrobat or Reader addon which captures the text from pdf documnet when ctrl+right mouse click. This feature is enabled when it is copied to" C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\plug_ins " or "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\plug_ins " directory, so if it is copied such copying error appeared, if not copied it does not appear. Baylon dictionary addin is installed when you install babylon dictionary software, and it is here " C:\Program Files (x86)\Babylon\Babylon-Pro\Utils ", its name is " BabylonRPI.api "

My experience is that Babylon Dictionary was causing this error. With babylon version 10 acrobat does not give that kind of error anymore, on windows 7 x64, but previous version leftover files may cause this error again even if you remove previous versions and install version 10. With a clean install of windows 7 x64 with babylon dictionary version 10 there is no error anymore.Uninstalling previous versions of Babylon using third party uninstalling software like Revo or Uninstall Tool may help without reinstalling Windows.

10g: "Copy to Clipboard" in error dialog

I like the "Copy to Clipboard" button in the error dialog in JDev 10g. Great idea!
It appears, though, that line breaks in the exception stack are not preserved in the copied text. I think it would help readability if they were preserved.

This was an error dialog that appeared in the Business Components Diagram after I performed a right-click->Show->Related Elements action on an entity object dropped onto the diagram. I am unable to reproduce that particular error, but hopefully this gives you enough info to determine which dialog I'm talking about.

Reader X: Internal error when copying to clipboard

I get an "internal error" copying to clipboard (Reader 10.1.1, Windows 7 64-bit) when TightVncviewer (V2.0.4) is running simultaneously.
I assume TightVncviewer monitors the clipboard to copy the actual content to the remote machine.
Closing TightVncviewer resolves the issue. However, I need to use that tool frequently so that's an annoying bug.
As a workaround, I downgraded to Reader 9.

Copy to Clipboard Method (Table) copies one additional empty column more than expected

Hi,
I'm using the Copy to Clipboard Method for a Table, to copy for example 4 rows with 3 columns. When I paste it to Excel I get 4 rows with 3 columns and an extra column, which is empty so the real size is than 4x4.
Is this a Labview Error or can someone explain it to me why this is happening? Or even better, how can I fix that?
I have isolated the problem to an extra vi so you can reproduce the error. Just let the vi run once and then paste the clipboard to Microsoft Excel.
My Labview Version is 11.0 32 Bit, Microsoft Office 2010, WinXP SP3

Copy/Paste/Clipboard Problem; Pastes only as SVG Code

I have Illustrator CC installed, as well as Illustrator CS6, running Windows 7 x64, latest patchlevel. When I try to copy and paste objects in Illustrator CC, I always get a SVG code. I draw a simple rectangular, copy it, paste it, it's not pasted as a rectangular, it's pasted as SVG code. Same with an embedded JPEG. Copy it. paste it. et voila, SVG code...
In Illustrator CS6 everything works as i would expect it. Highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v, ok.
In CC, highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v => svg code [ etc. pp.] This always happens, no matter where (copy in illustrator cc, paste in the same illustrator document, word, photoshop, etc) or what (drawn object, jpeg, embedded, linked, gif).. I've tried different clipboard settings in Illustrator CC, it makes no difference.

Of cause it is, but still I think it's a bug.
I don't think it should work this way. First, Include SVG Code to me is not equal to Replace copied objects by SVG Code. When I copy an object from an Illustrator file and then try to paste it back into an Illustrator file, why should I get code instead? Second, that code was not pasted every time. Just about every second or third time. Sometimes it worked with a single object, sometimes to get that SVG code I had to copy/paste multiple objects, while pasting single objects worked as expected. So, to me it looks like a bug.
And anyway, even if this function is supposed to replace objects with code, it should not be ON by default, not all of Illustrator users are developers. My estimate, most of us are not, actually.

Data cleansing: Clipboard error when using bupa_clear

Hello,
When using BUPA_CLEAR transaction to process cleansing cases, dragging and dropping some objects from one BP to another produces the message "Clipboard does not contain any data" and the object is not copied to the new BP.
An example:
BP 1 has a folder 'Business Transactions' with sub-folders 'CRM Service Processes' and 'CRM Business Activity'. The 'CRM Service Processes' contains 1 service ticket object. the 'CRM Business Activity' contains 1 interaction record object. The other main level folders are Address Usage and Sales Classification.
BP 2 only has 'Address Usage' and 'Sales Classification' folders as it has no interactions or tickets against it.
When dragging and dropping the folder 'Business Transactions' (or any of it's sub-folders/objects) from BP1 to BP2, I get the message 'Clipboard does not contain any data'.
Is there a fix or workaround to this? Or am I doing something wrong?

Found out the simple answer to a dumb problem:
You must drag-and-drop the ICON (Folder icon, document icon) of the object that you are moving, not just the text of the object. Dragging the icon will highlight the icon and the name of what you are trying to move and it will then move to the appropraite folder without giving the clipboard error.

Auto copying to clipboard

I am recieving this message when auto copying to clipboard,
"signed.applets.codebase_principal_support=true"
which is not allowing me to pick up the data from web pages that I copy from, grateful for any directions to solve this, many thanks

Neville, thanks for the question, it's a secure web site and not able to post the page. But the error box that opens says
' You need set, signed.applets.codebase_principal_support=true , in about:config to use this feature'
Have had a good search for this and found solutions for firefox motzilla etc, but not Safari, any pointers would be a great help.

Photoshop Elements 9 won't open blank files or copy from clipboard

PE9 for Macwon't open blank files or "copy from clipboard." I get error messages that say, "Could not complete the command because of a problem using the Adobe color engine," when I try to create a new blank file, and "Could not place because of a program error" when trying to "copy from clipboard." I tried reinstalling the software, but that didn't help.

Are you still facing the same problem ?

To reset your preferences at the time of launching PSE press command+option+shift key combination untill following pop up comes.

CS2 Error Opening Illustrator

"Could not complete your Request because there is not enough memory (RAM)"
Cannot "place" pictures in the illustrator program. Students need to be able to scan drawings and place them into illustrator to digitize.
Any solutions on how to fix this?

We are using P4 with 2G RAM, 80G HD, WinXP SP3,
I had a student try to place, open and copy a .jpg file into Illustrator and none of the ways worked.
1) Opened Illustrator selected FILE, PLACE and then directed to get photo. It shows an empty box.
2) Starting from the .jpg file, right click OPEN WITH Illustrator, error message says insufficient RAM to complete this operation.
3) Started with .jpg, right click COPY then opened Illustrator, started a new blank document and then PASTE.
None of the above worked.
I need for the students to be able to use scanned images and photos as templates for recreation and digitizing in Illustrator. All of the images and scans are low res so it is not a matter of the file being too large.

Error updating Illustrator CS6 now it can't be used

OraRRP Error with "Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space"

Hi,
Some users get this message -"Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space" when run report with orarrp, but most users do not get it.
I check free space at both server and client side, they are very sufficient.
I also checked directory exists for REPORTXX_TMP variable.
My user call reports via URL (rwservlet) and it occur for all reports.
How I can solve this problem?

have the same problem now. One user has temporarily problems to download .rrpa files via URL (rwservlet) request. Error code: -"Unable to copy data file;Error code 2, check disk space". Did you get a solution??

Help - "Cannot copy file: Data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)"

I'm having problems with my Zen Mosaic EZ00. Up until a few weeks ago it has been working fine however, since then, has begun to show the error message? "Cannot copy file: Data error (Cyclic Redundancy Check)" whenever I try to copy files on to it. I have tried the recovery software available and it only updated the firmware. Some files do occasionally (and very occasionally) copy but usually it shows the error message and cancels the copy.
I would really appreciate if anyone could help me with this?

Hello,
I recently got an iPad 64gb. And have since been loading all of my Comic backups onto it (Via Cloudreaders). I've got 32.5gb used and 26.4gb Free. Every 20-30 issues or so I get an error that says "Comic book name here" cannot be copied because an error occured. There is not enough memory available.
Now the easiest way to fix this is to close iTunes and restart it - This will allow me to add another 20-30 so issues before having to do it again. However that doesn't seem to be right expecially when i'm unable to backup my ipad because I get this error.
Is there anyone out there who can help me?

I upgraded to iOS 5. Same problem.
New information:
I've noticed my iTunes use from around 65,000 K int he Memory section of Processes (Windows 7). However right before the crash it's using almost 2,000,000 K in the memory section.

Problems doing copy/paste from Flash to Illustrator

This is a problem I've had since Flash 8: when doing a
copy/paste from Flash to Illustrator (on Windows), there's extreme
degradation of the artwork, sometimes to the extent that no actual
art is even copied. All the curves seem to be approximated with
straight line segments, but at some point it just seems to give up
even trying, leaving an unidentifiable blob for most of the object.
As I said, sometimes it doesn't even copy anything at all -- all
that shows up after pasting into Illustrator is an empty group.
The weird thing is that this process worked fine in Flash MX
2004. What could possibly have changed? I was sure with CS3 it
would be fixed, but it wasn't. I haven't tried Illustrator CS4 yet,
but copying from Flash CS4 to Illustrator CS3 produces the same
problem.
I've seen a few other reports of this problem in other
forums, but I've encountered it on every install of Flash and
Illustrator I've tried (admittedly, all Windows machines, but three
or four different ones, both XP or Vista). Can anyone here confirm
that this problem exists or doesn't exist on their computer? To
test it, create a piece of art with plenty of curves and several
colors in Flash, then copy and paste it into an illustrator
document.
If this problem is as widespread as my experience seems to
indicate it is, why hasn't it been fixed in two major revisions of
the software? Is Adobe even aware of it? If not, how can I let them
know? I'm getting majorly sick of having to deal with it.
Illustrator used to be a much larger part of my animation process,
but now I can't use it how I really want to because of the bad copy
and paste functionality.

The integration between Flash CS3 and Illustrator means you
can copy objects from Illustrator to Flash and i think if you copy
from Flash to illustrator or Photoshop, you would not get a good
results.
You can solve your problem by exporting your Flash work as
.AI.
Your idea about the ability to copy from Flash to Illustrator
is a good idea although Illustrator can not read some of the Flash
imported information correctly. But it is still a good enahcement
idea. There is a link where you can add suggestions but I do not
remember it and I am replying using mobile, so my browsing
capabilities is limited.
