Copy paiste objects into the exact position!

helllo forumers.
i have 2 questions about the copy paiste command.
1st) question is i have multiple objects on one layer circles rectagnles and so on,im trying to copy paiste one of those objects onto a new layer.but it wont
be paisted on the exact same position,rather its moving into the middle of the art board,is there a way to copy paiste an object onto another layer and retaining its initial position on the art board?
2nd question is there also a way to copy paiste from illustrator into photoshop and also the object to fall into place where it sohuld be located,initial posiiton
thats on the illustrator art board to be paisted onto the photoshop art board.cos again i have the same problem the object gets paisted onto the middle of the
photoshop artboard and then i have to do the nudging myself.

I am working on acrobat and I want to place a chart into an exact position in the document, but when I grab the chart it is placed either too high or too low from the place I want to put it.... how can I fix that? how can I place the picture/chart in the place I want it without going to high are too low in the document??

First of all, Acrobat is not a layout application and using it for that
purpose is both tricky and dangerous, as it can totally screw up your
document. If possible, stick to an application that more suited for this
task, like InDesign.
To answer your question: Make sure that the following option is NOT
selected: View - Show/Hide - Rulers & Grids - Snap to Grid.

Is it possible to use the keyboard arrow keys to adjust the exact position of a text box in PE11?

Hello all,
Could someone please give me a tip on a precise way to move a text box a pixel to the left (or right) - any direction really, using the arrow keys on the keyboard instead of the mouse.
This may sound like a daft question but the only way I can move a text object is by using the mouse and dragging text boxes precisely in any direction is a real pain, especially if I have many of them.
The mouse just can't be the only way.
I wish the arrow keys could work just like in Microsoft Word. When the text box is selected and the arrow cursor is also activated, one can adjust the exact position of the text box.
It doesn't seem to work in Pr.Elements 11 though. I tried various combinations (Alt + left/right), (Ctrl + left/right) etc. and still nothing.
Is this possible at all?

Thanks. We do have Adobe CC and therefore I have access to PrPro but I spent some time getting to know Element's interface already and was hoping I would not have to use PrPro, which is slightly more complicated.
It is only small to medium edit jobs that I need editing software for anyway.
That is a shame really!
As far as I am aware, there is a newer version (PE12) that is now availble. Does anyone know if they have improved the functionality in terms of precise title positioning in that latest version?

i have been trying to create an edit employee details page
What i have done till now is as follow:
1. Got employee id from HTML page.
2. Compared it with the id stored in the database.
3. If the id is correct then pulled the record of the corresponding employee and stored it in the session object.
4. Dispatched the session values to another servlet EditEmpDetails2.java
what i need to do now
5. Now i need to set the session values in the text field of the html form
6. I also need to be able to edit those vales and store the edited values in the database.
Please help me as i have tried doing it for 1 week without any clues

In your JSP page use JSP expression tags to put the session attributes.
it's something like : <input type='text' name='employeeid' value='<%= session.getAttribute("employeeid") %>' >and you need to generateanother servlet for saving the details/modifications to the database.
I think i m clear enough.

Generally I would not use Facebook for sharing any photos, it compresses the photos substantially, and when you have shadows and dark colours you get visible "bands" where there should be subtle gradients, ie at sunsets and sunrises.
It sounds like you are using two methods to upload to Facebook:
1. Sharing from within Aperture, which basically syncs Facebook with your Aperture album, so any changes made at either end gets synced, hence the deletions from Albums, although the original file should still be in your library, just removed rom the album. It is like a playlist in iTunes.
2. Exporting pics and uploading to Facebook from the browser.
I am not sure how method 1 gets compressed, but I know that uploading hi-res jpegs to Facebook using method 2 results in poor quality images.
I wouldn't even bother comparing option 1 or 2, and they will both be poor images once you view them on Facebook, as opposed to viewing uploaded images on proper image sharing / hosting sites.
Your problem is not with Aperture, it is using Facebook for showing your work.
If you export pics form Aperture at high res jpegs or TIFFs your images will be fine.
If you insist to use Facebook as your way to share your work, then your workflow should be this:
1. Right click images you want to share.
2. Select Export version.
3. Export as 100% size and ensure the export settings are set at 100% quality.
4. Upload this pic into Facebook.
This will get you the best image size and resolution on Facebook.
See how you go.

Can you please explain what you are trying to do in detail. Do you want to create a Node dynamically in the context or, you want to populate a Node in a Context???

Have you tried it? Then you can see that it doesn't work this way.
What you can do is create a record type in a package or create the object in SQL:

How to copy and paste into the same picture using quick selection tool

I have Photoshop CS5 and am new at this. What I need to do is copy and paste something in the image back into the same image. I can select it with the quick selection tool. All I want to do is paste a copy of it back into my image, move it and rotate it a little.
I've searched for an answer for a couple of days now and evidently, I'm searching for the wrong thing. This is what I need to do and I don't know how to get there. I do this in Digital Image Suite all the time and it's very simple. I know Photoshop is a lot more complicated but you can do more with it so I am trying to switch by using it to work on my projects. I've read articles where people say to use the quick selection tool and do a copy and paste but for me, all it does is add blank layer and the selection disappears. If I paste again, it pastes the item in the middle of the image and I can't move it or change it in any way.
One more question: in the Filters menu, all of the filters are gray-shaded. I read that I have to buy these filters, is that true?

Once you have a selection, I use Ctrl C to copy and Ctrl V to paste. This will add a layer but may not look like it as it is in exactly the same spot in picture. If you paste again it will show up near middle of picture.
If you want to resize and rotate use Ctrl T.
More options are in Edit/Transform. I particularly like Warp.
All the filters should be active, but many only work in 8 bit RGB mode. To see what mode they are in click Image/Mode.

Moving an object into a random position smoothly

I have a grid and I want to move items from 1 cell in the grid to another cell in the grid by using a smooth arc like motion. The grid is multiple columns but 1 row.
For example if the grid is 6 cells wide and I want to move the object from cell 2 into cell 5 I would like it to sort of move out of its cell and over and then into the new cell in a arc like motion rather than it just sliding across.
I was looking into to using tween but I don't really understand how to do this since the positions are always going to be the same.
I'm using Flash Pro 8.

Nope ... If I single tap the displayed PDF nothing happens - If I double tap I get the option to Copy / Select All - there is no "Open In...."
(I was going to insert an image in this post, but clicking on the camera icon does nothing - oh well)

I think I know what I did....my external hard drive has been used to back up my PC. I was trying to back up my iTunes on my Mac. I forgot that the formats mattered. Thanks.
