Copy paste activity should be avoided.

Hi Freinds
This has been discussed many a times in the forum and many members have already requested not to copy and paste the answers posted by other members.
But, unfortunately it is not followed. Though many-a -times I have seen this copy paste activities but I have not reacted thinking that members will not repeate the same activity in future.
To-day, I found that Mr. Sanil Kailash Bhandari has copied the answer posted by me on 19th Nov 2008 and pasted in this forum (Billing issue question).
Atleast you could have changed the language Mr Bhandari and you could have interpreted in your own word, beacuse it is nothing like that, I have invented something new.
Many members can easily answer the same question but we should answer in our own language and it gives real pleasure if our (own) answer has solved somebody's problem and you will never get that
satisfaction from copy paste activity.
Once again I will request Mr.Lakshmipati to kindly take care of this typa of activities.

Infact,it is a concern of the whole forum, I feel.
I feel that, instead of pasteing same answers, we should come out with more correct and varified answers next times.
At the same time, I request the members to first search the forum before posting a question and if not found the satisfactory answer then only post the question in a new thread.
In the process, we need not have to request the members to avoid copy-paste activities and secondly a number of meaningful and new suggestions will be posted by different contributors.
Dr.Lakshmipati, I am not sending the link and details to you as I do not want that any disciplinary action should be taken on any of our member.
My sole purpose was to make an appeal to all of us to avoid this type of activity.

Disabling copy paste screenshot function from webdypro output

Hi,
I am working on a webdynpro application. I have used formatted text view element the outout view. The requirement is when this text is displayed in output it should not be copied pasted nor screenshot can be taken for security reason.
This means when I execute the program and the text gets diesplayed in Internet Explorer copy paste function should be disable.
Printscreen option should also be disabled.

I don't believe that anyone ever said that you could disable cut and paste. This too is a function of the browser interacting with the OS. There is nothing that you can do from Web Dynpro to effect that.
I did a google search to how to avoid cut and paste in the browser. Even with full control over javascript and the HTML rendering (which you don't have in Web Dynpro) this is very difficult to do. Some suggestion are to use a CSS with a transparent image overlay or to render an image with the text. Even some of these approaches can be worked around by someone persistent enough - by viewing source for instance.
Also avoiding the screenshot is pretty much impossible and certainly isn't the responsibility of the application.

Editor - Cut, Copy & Paste styles

Using the package from http://www.calcom.de/eng/dev/cctxt.htm but it doesn't seem to work with cut, copy & paste styles
Still the cut, copy & paste styles should still work but not quite sure if its my IntroductionDocument class causing the problem or those methods. Attach is my working editor to download from:

The problems is:
* When I cut text with bold and plain, the whole paragraph goes bold?
The bold text Introduction is the first word of the document but still
it shouldn't effect the whole paragraph.
* When I paste, loose the bold styles but get the remanining plain text fonts instead.

If you are having issues with your cutting, copying and pasting items from your iPad, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPad -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
If the issue is still present, you may want to restore the iPad as a new device -

You can copy/paste from Illy to ID by selecting the text with the type tool in Illy and then pasting it into ID. You will not be able to maintain the formatting. If you want to maintain the appearance the text will be converted to outlines.
If you need to get anything other than very simple objects from Illy to ID then you should save as AI and use the file > place command to place those objects as linked graphics into ID.
Your closing statement is irrelevant. Whether you like it or not, this is the way it is.

Why are edit (Cut/Copy/Paste) controls not active?

I am new to QT. I am trying to cut up a large mpeg file (created by converting and IFO file from a DVD) into small video clips. However the main editing controls (undo, redo, cut, copy, paste, delete and trim to selection) are all de-activated. I don't have this problem with other mpeg files.
Any ideas why?

Report has selection by material in the variable screen. Users would like to to run a report for a set of materials (100+ items). He wants to copy-paste materials into material variable to avoid manual entry.
I know its impossible. Are thee any ways to allow user not to enter this materials manually and run the report.
Set of materials can change over the time.

You might want to try with a text file (.txt).. place all the 100+ values into a text file.. like the notepad.. make sure you have only one column with all these number.. no headers or no blank spaces in the beginning..
then, in the variable (variable should have been defined as "select options" or "multiple single values"), if you can go the screen where we can make multiple entries, we will have an option to import from a file.. and select the text file you have created above.. then all the 100+ values will be imported..
we do this all the time..

InDesign Middle Eastern CS4 copy/paste problem

Hey guys,
I usually work on the US version of InDesign CS4 on a Mac... But for a series of projects I need to do for Dubai, I am using the ME InDesign CS4 on PC.
Sigh.
Now, my problem is, when I copy/paste what our translator sent us from WordPad (I don't have Word installed on the PC side ) It is flipping my text around.
Now, I bought the ME version of InDesign to avoid this problem, as I knew it would be a problem with the US version... So what am I doing wrong? I was following this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/450951) and feel like I have the exact same problem that person had, all the way through to the end.
Can someone further help me out? I need to be able to use this... I have to send everything to press next week!! (eek!)

First of all, you can (should) place the text. Why are you copy/pasting?
Make sure your text is set to use the World-Ready Composer. If the
document started its life in InDesign US, the default composer is
going to be the non-World-Ready one.

Problem with copy/paste into WYSIWYG field?

In using Robo HTML X5 my helpfile design is a simple one, but
one issue is stumping me.
-From the TOC tab I will create a new topic, and then edit
the WYSIWYG field on the right, insert graphics, etc. But if I cut
and paste from Word 2003 into the WYSIWYG topic field, all
formatting like bold letting is stripped out, along with graphics.
The graphics have to be cut and pasted individually and I manually
have to reformat the text.
Does anyone know why a copy/paste into the WYSIWYG field is
being stripped of formatting somehow? Is there simple project
setting somewhere?

Hi reiver12367 and welcome to our community
Trust me on this. Mixing Word and RoboHelp HTML are like
mixing oil and water. You really don't want to go down any road
where formatting is maintained during a copy/paste operation.
You might see better results by right clicking the folder
(inside RoboHelp HTML) where you want the topic to be, then
selecting Import. From there, choose the Word document file type
from the drop-down on the bottom of the dialog, navigate to and
choose your Word document. You will have a couple of dialogs to
deal with and the stuff should import in.
Personally, I even avoid going that route if I can. I instead
opt for saving the Word document as pure ASCII text. Then creating
a new topic and copy/pasting the text into the topic. From there I
format as needed.

I think it would be a good idea maybe to find out which browsers a site supports, before registering. Then you can decide which browser to use
in hopes of avoiding this time consuming waste of your time.
Sometimes the Debug menu, if activated can help, Terminal app in Utilities folder you can activate it by using the command below ;
- QUIT Safari 1st,
- Copy & paste the command exactly as it is into the Terminal window,
you will probably be promted for your admin pswd, it will not be echoed
then hit return:
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1
and to turn it off again,
defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 0
*All the usual caution, when working/using in Terminal

Hi,
Create the DC in the Track with same name.
to do this, you need to remove the DC name reservation in the SLD,
After that, copy src of old project and paste in the new project,
before copying the src, you have to add the depedencies in your new dc as per the old dc, becuase the copying won't take the dependent dc reference,
after adding the dependent dc's you can copy the src to new dc,
when you paste the src under new dc's that should promt you for add some files to acitvity, other wise delete the src and paste it again until u get the popup to add files to activity,
after pasting - repair the dc project strucutre, roload and rebuild after that check manually all the depenceies are working, now you can build the dc and deployee,
this process work for only for the same naming dc's,
i have done this, this will work fine,

I'm trying to set up a simple applescript to copy a cell and paste it repeatedly down the column to the last record.
Can some one help?
The closest I could find is this:

This works, but I need the script to determine the number of rows with data and paste that many times.

1. You only need a tell...end tell for the whole script as you're only addressing the one app
2. It would be useful to enclose the whole of the script (inside the tell Excel) in the
