Copy-Paste Big problem on FW CS4!!!

Hi, I have this big problem in the very bad big moment
Trying to pase text from pages or ms word or even text edit and for example "It’s So Much More Than an ID Tag." into FW.
And I get "Itís So Much More Than an ID Tag." instead. (notice ITS words).
Same problem with other symbols like:
" — " into this " ó "
Does anyone have an idea what the problem is???

Not really seeing that here but then I have this inherent dislike of copy/cut paste from anything that supports any sort of formatting. This goes doubly for software that exposes the formatting codes when you cut and paste.
If I do have to copy from an M$ document I usually use Open Office to open it as the formatting tags don't get carried over. If I don't have OO available I cut into note pad first.
LOL I spend enough time cleaning up my own mess without adding someone elses too.

Copy & Paste from Illustrator to InDesign CS4

I am aware that there are issues when copying/pasting from Illustrator to InDesign, in particular:

I have the following problems:
1- I copy and paste text from Illustrator to InDesign on the same platform and some (not all) of the text is converted to outline in InDesign. The same font is available to both applications. Why this behaviour?
2- I copy and paste objects containing text from Illustrator to InDesign and some of the objects appear to have moved respective positions when pasted into InDesign. Is this to be expected?
Are there solutions to these problems? Note that if I expand everything in Illustrator prior to copying and pasting into InDesign, none of these issues occur, but everything is obviously in outline form, with the limitations it entails.
My clipboard settings are as indicated in the link above, but I have tried other settings with no more luck.
(Important: Before pasting a graphic, make sure that Illustrator is configured to copy as AICB (see Illustrator Help). In InDesign, make sure that Prefer PDF When Pasting isn’t selected in the Clipboard Handling preferences. If these options aren’t set properly, the Illustrator graphic cannot be edited in InDesign.)
It is not practical for me to create an Illustrator file for each of the Illustrator graphics and import those files via Place into InDesign. I must use Copy/Paste.

You can copy/paste from Illy to ID by selecting the text with the type tool in Illy and then pasting it into ID. You will not be able to maintain the formatting. If you want to maintain the appearance the text will be converted to outlines.
If you need to get anything other than very simple objects from Illy to ID then you should save as AI and use the file > place command to place those objects as linked graphics into ID.
Your closing statement is irrelevant. Whether you like it or not, this is the way it is.

Copy/paste opacity problem

I´m having this weir issue with objects that have gradients with opacity.
If I drag to copy, it´s makes a perfect copy. But if I copy/paste the object it becomes solid. This applys copy/paste in the same document and if I try to copy/paste into a new document.
This problem came with the upgrade to Illustrator CS6.

Copy & Pasting Audio Problem

Hi Ya'll,
Every time I try to copy from one location, i.e the end of my project, and paste it to another, i.e. the front of my project, the darn computer will not paste it where I want! It just pastes it at the same location where I copied it from even though I move the play head to the top of my project!
Is anybody else having this problem? Can anyone help me!!!!!

Dragging a clip along the timeline takes no effort (from the computer) at all.
Could you have a RAM problem?

Copy/Paste/Clipboard Problem; Pastes only as SVG Code

I have Illustrator CC installed, as well as Illustrator CS6, running Windows 7 x64, latest patchlevel. When I try to copy and paste objects in Illustrator CC, I always get a SVG code. I draw a simple rectangular, copy it, paste it, it's not pasted as a rectangular, it's pasted as SVG code. Same with an embedded JPEG. Copy it. paste it. et voila, SVG code...
In Illustrator CS6 everything works as i would expect it. Highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v, ok.
In CC, highlight object, cmd+c, cmd+v => svg code [ etc. pp.] This always happens, no matter where (copy in illustrator cc, paste in the same illustrator document, word, photoshop, etc) or what (drawn object, jpeg, embedded, linked, gif).. I've tried different clipboard settings in Illustrator CC, it makes no difference.

Of cause it is, but still I think it's a bug.
I don't think it should work this way. First, Include SVG Code to me is not equal to Replace copied objects by SVG Code. When I copy an object from an Illustrator file and then try to paste it back into an Illustrator file, why should I get code instead? Second, that code was not pasted every time. Just about every second or third time. Sometimes it worked with a single object, sometimes to get that SVG code I had to copy/paste multiple objects, while pasting single objects worked as expected. So, to me it looks like a bug.
And anyway, even if this function is supposed to replace objects with code, it should not be ON by default, not all of Illustrator users are developers. My estimate, most of us are not, actually.

Copy-paste images problem

when i'm using safari and i need to copy an image. i click over the image and select copy image NOT copy image adress.
anyway when i try to paste the image, it only paste the web adress... for example on word:mac or iworks

Try Drag and dropping the image from Safari to the desktop or to your target document.

BIG problems with PS CS4 + Wacom in XP

Hey,
I just got my wacom intuos A5 USB a couple of days back and its working perfectly on my mac. No issues at all but I tried using it on my desktop and im having 2 major issues.
1. I have only "other dynamics" checked and opacity controlled by pen pressure. If i am making light strokes with the pen i get a few low opacity strokes is i should but I suddenly get a full pressure (100% opacity) stroke even though im hardly applying and pressure. These are sudden pressure spikes and are completely random.
2. The pen tilt is not working. I set color dynamics to pen tilt but the color doesn't change as i tilt the pen
All this works perfectly on my mac so I know theres nothing wrong with the tablet but how do I solve these issues.
Im hoping someone here will help me out.
P.S. - I have an Intel 2.5 Quad Core, gigabite Mother board, 4gb ram, nvidia GeForce 6600GT - 256mb. I also have a beetel router connected to my desktop.

I am using photoshop CS4 11.0.1
I just wanted to know which driver version you use. I initially tried 611-3 and had the spiking issues. But I uninstalled this driver and installed 610-6 and the spiking issue has stopped. TIlt still doesn't work properly. It seems PS only detects about 10 degrees of tilt because the effect when the pen is fully tilted is minimal. I should also mention that tilt works fine in Corel painter X.
How do I disable MS TabletPC support? Im running XP and I don't think i even have it.
I have none of these problems on mac where im running PS CS4 with 611-3 drivers. Tilt works perfectly.

Copy/Paste from Preview Results in Gibberish

I have found that this is true not only of annotation, but of any saves. For example, if I delete a page from the pdf and save, I can still copy & paste no problem. But if I delete another page and then save a second time, any further copy/pasting results in garbled/encoded text as indicated in the above posts.

I am not reading the post that he wants to do anything with the Cut/Deleted page or info.
I am reading it that after two revisions any further attempts to manipulate the text results in garbled Text.
I cannot replicate this behaviour with deleting a page, saving, closing and open the save and deleting a second page.
The Text I highlighted (And copy/pasted to TextEdit) worked OK.
I don't use Preview in this manner normally an may have misunderstood the steps.

InDesign Middle Eastern CS4 copy/paste problem

Hey guys,
I usually work on the US version of InDesign CS4 on a Mac... But for a series of projects I need to do for Dubai, I am using the ME InDesign CS4 on PC.
Sigh.
Now, my problem is, when I copy/paste what our translator sent us from WordPad (I don't have Word installed on the PC side ) It is flipping my text around.
Now, I bought the ME version of InDesign to avoid this problem, as I knew it would be a problem with the US version... So what am I doing wrong? I was following this thread (http://forums.adobe.com/thread/450951) and feel like I have the exact same problem that person had, all the way through to the end.
Can someone further help me out? I need to be able to use this... I have to send everything to press next week!! (eek!)

FYI--I am trying to use Arabic.

First of all, you can (should) place the text. Why are you copy/pasting?
Make sure your text is set to use the World-Ready Composer. If the
document started its life in InDesign US, the default composer is
going to be the non-World-Ready one.

Problems doing copy/paste from Flash to Illustrator

This is a problem I've had since Flash 8: when doing a
copy/paste from Flash to Illustrator (on Windows), there's extreme
degradation of the artwork, sometimes to the extent that no actual
art is even copied. All the curves seem to be approximated with
straight line segments, but at some point it just seems to give up
even trying, leaving an unidentifiable blob for most of the object.
As I said, sometimes it doesn't even copy anything at all -- all
that shows up after pasting into Illustrator is an empty group.
The weird thing is that this process worked fine in Flash MX
2004. What could possibly have changed? I was sure with CS3 it
would be fixed, but it wasn't. I haven't tried Illustrator CS4 yet,
but copying from Flash CS4 to Illustrator CS3 produces the same
problem.
I've seen a few other reports of this problem in other
forums, but I've encountered it on every install of Flash and
Illustrator I've tried (admittedly, all Windows machines, but three
or four different ones, both XP or Vista). Can anyone here confirm
that this problem exists or doesn't exist on their computer? To
test it, create a piece of art with plenty of curves and several
colors in Flash, then copy and paste it into an illustrator
document.
If this problem is as widespread as my experience seems to
indicate it is, why hasn't it been fixed in two major revisions of
the software? Is Adobe even aware of it? If not, how can I let them
know? I'm getting majorly sick of having to deal with it.
Illustrator used to be a much larger part of my animation process,
but now I can't use it how I really want to because of the bad copy
and paste functionality.

The integration between Flash CS3 and Illustrator means you
can copy objects from Illustrator to Flash and i think if you copy
from Flash to illustrator or Photoshop, you would not get a good
results.
You can solve your problem by exporting your Flash work as
.AI.
Your idea about the ability to copy from Flash to Illustrator
is a good idea although Illustrator can not read some of the Flash
imported information correctly. But it is still a good enahcement
idea. There is a link where you can add suggestions but I do not
remember it and I am replying using mobile, so my browsing
capabilities is limited.

Not precise vector copy&paste from Illus cs4 to flash cs4

does somebody knows if there is a solution to that or does somebody have an explanation to this ...
I have a really complex shape made in Illustrator cs4 that I need to import in flash cs4. When I import my shape in flash , my shape doesn't keep the exactly, precisely same shape. I try to reduce the amount of point with illustrator with Object->path->simplify ... It's help but not enough. My shape is to complex to re-draw one by one every single points as the original.
I did some test as in Flash cs3 and this problem dosen't exist. In cs4 you can test it do a circle , the smallest you can and zoom , you will see that the circle is not a circle anymore. (cs3 does't do it)

Copy/Paste difference between CS4 and CS5

Please help... I am losing my mind...
I just upgraded from CS4 to CS5 the other day and am at my wits end.
I use Adobe Illustrator for live trace and paste the paths into an embroidery software for digitizing.
In Adobe Illustrator CS4, I could copy (ctrl+c) paths in illustrator and then open the embroidery software and paste (ctrl+v) the paths.
Now that I've upgraded to Illustrator CS5, I can no longer copy/paste paths... why? The paths simply wont paste into the embroidery software any longer.
I feel like there is something very fundamental that I am missing.
Any help is appreciated.

I verified my clipboard settings looked as the attached image and it still did not seem to work. I also tried every combination of options and none of them worked either.
Work Flow: I will highlight the paths and copy them, then in the embroidery software when I hit paste, the mouse cursor turns into the processing icon for a split second like it's trying to paste, but nothing ever shows up in the embroidery software.
I reinstalled Illustrator CS4 alongside CS5 this morning, and tried the same copy/paste process with CS4 (from an illustrator file created in CS5)... works like a charm. I realize that downgrading to CS4 is not the solution. However, not being able to correctly operate the copy/paste commands is toying with my ego...

Problem of spaces with copy-paste from Acrobat Reader X (10.1.0)

Hi all,
I have a problem when doing a copy-paste from a text in Acrobat Reader X (10.1.0). When I paste, all spaces are erased.
It does not come from the document as the problem is for every pdf.
Do someone have an idea of where the problem comes from ?

This is not the forum for Reader, but the problem probably lies with the way the file was created, and/or with the fonts used in it.
