Copy & Paste in Photoshop Elements 9

I want to use the heart cookie cutter and cut out just the part of the picture within the heart shape and paste it into a WORD document. How do you do that? I am new to Photoshop Elements. Using help didn't help.

If your using the cookie cutter tool (not one of the shape tools) everything
should be automatic except for saving the image.
1. Select the cookie cutter tool and set the option to crop in the tool
    options bar.
2. Select your shape and draw out the shape around your object of interest.
   You can use the handles on the corners of the bounding box to adjust the shape
   and then click the green check mark to finish.
   The checkboard pattern you see is just element's way of showing transparency
   and won't show in the photo in a program like word.
3. Save as a PNG (File<Save As)

I have found a temporary solution, allowing the previous version of iTunes (v. 11.1.3 (x64) in my case) to be re-installed. It will allow you to re-establish use of iTunes until the Apple software engineers fix the most recent disasterous upgrade (v. 11.1.4). Copy/Paste in Photoshop CS6

No matter what I do, I cannot copy/paste in photoshop cs6.
I'm trying to copy a layer from one tab (project) to another. I've also trying dragging it but it just won't do it.
I've worked in CS5 and this has never been problem. What am I doing wrong?

I jumped form CS2 to CS6, so I had this same problem. I am so used to dragging my layers in, and I didn't want to submit to the "duplicate layer" method. Followed PECourtejioe's instructions too literally so my layer didn't copy! But then I inadvertantly figured out, you must bring your pointer BACK DOWN into the screen/canvas and it will copy. DUH! (I was dragging to the tab and holding my pointer there to no avail!) It was then when I accidentally moved my mouse into the screen did I notice a little "+" sign. Also, other forums make sense when they say, depending on where you point your pointer in the destination canvas, is where your image will land. Holding "shift" before you drop into the screen will center it!

You need to do it in Full Edit from the menu:
Help >> Deactivate
Or you can normally deactivate permanently during un-installing.

How to download a copy of purchased Photoshop Elements 11 onto a Mac without a Disc drive

I have recently bought a macbook pro after having used my copy of Photoshop Elements 11 on a PC laptop. This new Macbook does not have a disc drive, so I cannot install the software across. Any suggestions? I have the serial number and have registered it on Adobe. Thanks.

However if you had the download version before, I'm afraid that downloads have platform-specific serial numbers, unlike the boxed version.
EDIT I see from your other thread that you bought PSE in a box, so you're good to go. Just enter your serial number into the download.

Slightly distorted aspect-ratio (and missing alpha channel) when copy/paste from Photoshop

Maybe this is an old topic (but I didn't find anything on google or this forum):
When I copy images from Photoshop to Flash, the aspect ratio of the bitmap gets distorted. A 728x90 Bitmap becomes 727.6x90 (and so on...). The dpi is set on exactly 72 on both programs. Is there any way to JUST get a 1:1 pixel copy? (except using another program like Irfanview as a "man-in-the-middle")
Although I selected "32 bit color w/alpha" in the clipboard settings of Flash, the alpha channel seems to get discarded when copying from Photoshop. Shouldn't it at least work with Photoshop? I mean, it's an Adobe product after all and maybe the most commonly used together with Flash.
Would just be nice if a copy-paste between PS and FL was an easier thing.
I know there can also be a pixel-aspect somewhere (like used for video productions and wide-screen), but I didn't find settings for that anywhere.

I'm on windows7 with CS5.5 and transparency and size are copied over just fine. You answered what would be my first question, 72dpi. How about the image mode. Are you using RGB 8bit?
I've had lots of issues with the OS not handling transparency very well also, such right-click on an image on a website that you know is a PNG and has transparency, then paste it into photoshop, the transparency isn't saved.
The route that always works (but is a PITA) is of course to save it as a PNG with transparency and just import it.

I have a copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 that I have been using for a few years and all of a sudden it is as to upgrade and not letting me move forward. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and now it is saying that the serial number is invalid.

Lost my copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0. Where can I download it?

Had Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0, and shipped it with other things when i moved to the Philippines and it was lost when i moved to the the Philippines.
Where can i get it now i like it very much and don't wont to upgrade?

Otherwise you may need to buy the current version, which should be Elements 11.

Trial Copy Of Adobe Photoshop Elements

Is there a trial version of Adobe photoshop elements available anywhere. I want to start using Photoshop Elements for basic editing of photographs, but I want to make sure it does everything I need.
Is there such a thing?

Can't view/monitor copy-pasted video prem elements 7

Hi folks
Wierd one this. We've got Premiere elements 7 in college on some awfully slow computers (2GHz dual core cpu with 1GB ram).
Sometimes, when a student has copied some video and pasted it on another track/later in the session, they'll try and play it but it won't show in the monitor.
The screen goes black, but you can hear the audio. However, when you double click the video itself, it will open in that window you use for fine tuning a cut, and you can see it playing ok.
Any ideas?

1GB RAM is nowhere near enough to run PRE7 comfortably (I'm quite surprised that it works at all). Other likely problems are inadequate free disk space and out of date drivers.
Work through these basics to see if it cures your problems.
Install all Windows Updates.
Install latest version of Apple QuickTime (v7.6.9 at time of writing). Even if you don't use QuickTime, PRE relies heavily on it.
Install most recent graphics and sound drivers from the manufacturers web sites.
Install PRE7 v7.0.3 update.
Delete BadDrivers.txt (in Windows 7 this is likely at C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Premiere Elements\9.0\BadDrivers.txt)
Run Disk Cleanup.Run Defragmenter.
Reboot your PC.
Temporarily disable any anti-virus realtime scanning.
And give us some information about your clips and hardware:
Use the GSpot Codec Information Utility to analyse the file and post screen image.
What project preset did you use?
Where did the clip come from?
How did you get it into PRE?

Can't Copy/Paste in Photoshop CC

Hello,
I am using Photshop CC for a few days now, but i can't copy, or cut something in photshop, and then paste it anywhere else.
I can copy something from other programs like illustrator or word, and then paste it in photoshop, but cant copy or cut anything in photoshop.

Help with Photoshop Elements 6 reinstall

I have an older purchased copy of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 - with the product key. I am attempting to reinstall it to my computer following major software repairs to the OS. Apparently my original install disk has a bad scratch on it that is preventing it from installing from the disk. I need to download a fresh copy of this software and install it and then apply my product key. Can someone provide me with a download link to my needed software. (Note - my software came in a bundled pack that included Adobe Premiere Elements 4 - which I have already reinstalled.)
