Copy paste ios 8

SInce upgrading to iOS 8 (& its subsequent upgrades), I've had problems copying & pasting text between & within apps. The amount of text to be copied doesn't seem to matter. If I successgully copy & paste a bit of text, the successful bit of text is pasted repeatedly even after subsequent attempts to copy other bits of text.
Sometimes I can get text to copy if I hold down the tap of the copy button for up to 10 seconds, but this is not consistently successful.
Suggestions gratefully received.

IOS 5 Copy/Paste Bug

Since updating to IOS 5 (both on iPhone 4 and iPad 2), I can no longer copy content from some web pages. This almost always happens when displaying .htm pages. IOS will allow ou to select the content and will go through the motions of copying it, but when you go to paste the information anywhere none of the data copied is pasted.

Somewhat similar issue with my ipad2 after upgrade to ios5.I cannot copy/paste the URL address in landscape position with home button on the right. If I rotate the ipad to portrait positions (either side) and landscape with home buttion on the left, it works fine. And when it is working, like I can copy, then after awhile the safari browser website will crashed. The keyboard will comes up and down, up and down..... the search engine will slide in and out, in and out........... the bookmark wll slide in and out.... and immpossible to control the page ..... it will not response when i tap on any part and just have to switch off to stop. Anybody knows what is happening? got a bug? Any fix? Please help...........

Copy/Paste Style not working consistently in iOS Pages

I cannot figure out what is going on with iOS Pages Copy/Paste Styles.
Sometimes it works, but often it doesn't. I copy a style, and then select the text I want to paste the style to, and the 'paste style" option doesn't appear. It's as if no style was copied in the first place. Tried multiple times with the same result.
Also, it is not really clear to me WHAT is included in iOS Pages styles. It appears the font and size is included, but not the color. Not sure about other elements (line spacing, etc.). Is this described completely someplace?

You are not doing, something wrong. I have the same problem.

This must be a BUG, in Pages, after the latest update.
Had zero problem, with this before.
Have to over and over again turn off iPad and restart it.

IOS 5 - Copy Paste in iMessage (no option)

Is it me, or is there no option to copy/paste in the iMessage/Message app??
I double tap, or hold tap and my options do not appear (like in previous versions).

Copy Subset of iMessage Text Received
A google search brought me here so I'll add some info for others that might come by this thread. This applies to iOS 6 but users of iOS 5 could try it, the indirect functionality I believe was there in 5.
I was interested in copying a subset of an iMessage received from someone else in order to paste it into say a mapping app or another text.
iMessage allows far more info than 160 chars of a normal text message and in iOS 6 if you press on a prior incoming iMessage you only get an option to copy the entire message. If in the middle of the message they included an address for instance, or any info you wanted to copy and paste elsewhere, you don't get the options of a usual select / select all and sliders for setting the start and end point of the selected text. Yes text messages are static and shouldn't be allowed to be edited, but it would be simplistic for Apple to allow read-only selection within a text message with the usual text selection sliders etc.
The steps are within the text message / iMessage conversation:
- Press the Edit button at upper right
- Each message has a round circle to the left of it, press the circle of the message you want to sub-copy text
- Press Forward button in lower RIGHT - AVOID the Delete button which is more commonly used from Edit
- Now within New Message view you can copy the subset of text you are interested in, using double-press text / Select and sliders / Copy
- Press the Cancel new message button at upper right
- Switch to any other app and paste as desired
Its a poor workaround but it is better than not being able to copy a subset of the message at all and have to retype the info.

IOS 6, slow response to "Copy/Paste"

Why is iOS so slow to display the Copy and Paste prompts compared to previous OS's? I have an iPhone 4, which is considered old now, but Copy/Paste in a text field doesn't seem very processor heavy.
What I experience:
When I highlight text, then hold a finger long enough to for the copy prompt to show up -- iOS 6 has a 2 second delay before the prompt shows up.

Check the manual http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf page 23 regarding copy and paste. It does not mention having to hold your finger down for the copy/paste prompt. I've tried my phone and all you need to do is tap to get the prompt, and if you select the text, it will come up automatically.

What happened to copy/paste in dialer app iOS 7?

I used to be able to copy/paste numbers into the dialer app. With iOS 7, this feature is no longer present. What happened?
Being able to paste phone numbers into dialer is EXTREMELY useful.

Press and hold in the white space above the buttons. Paste will appear after about a second.

I cannot get Copy & Paste to work in iOS 5

I cannot get Copy & Paste to work on my iPhone or my iPad since updating to iOS 5.1
I can copy and paste within an app, buy copying from one app, then going into another, Paste is not available.
Anyone one else having this isuue? I have tried rebooting both devices but no change.

I just checked this out by opening a doc in PlainText and copying some sameple text that I typed. I hit enter a couple of times, pressed on the screen, the paste button appeared and I was able to paste no problem.
I then opened a fresh document in Pages and pressed on the screen to open the paset button and got the text to paste into the Pages doc with no problem.
You may have a glitch in your iOS 5.1 update. You might try doing a reset all settings reset and set the phone as a new one (You should not lose any data, or media) You will need to go in and reset any changes you may have made in settings as this set all of them back to factory defaults but your music, pictures, data, email accounts etc. will not be erased.
If this doesn't work you may need to reinstall the iOS again.I think you can do this through iTunes but am not 100% sure. You may need to take it to your local genius bar (Hope you have one close to your house) and ask them to reinstall the OS for you.

Can a person not copy/paste a photo to a doc?

PDF forms created in LiveCycle Designer can take advantage of an image field that's available. It can import JPEG, TIFF, GIF, and PNG. When the user clicks the field, it prompts the user to select an image file.
A form created in Acrobat can user a button that is set up to display an icon (layout someting other than Label only). Acrobat users will be able to choose a page from a PDF or any other format that it knows how to convert to PDF, including the same image formats as above plus many more, and many other formats. You can implement this with the following Mouse Up JavaScript for a button:

When the user clicks the button, a prompt will appear allowing the user to select a file to use for the button icon.
This will work with Reader 11, but the user will be limited to selecting a page from a PDF. It is relatively easy to convert images to PDF nowadays, to this isn't as much of a restriction as it was before they removed this from Reader a while ago. For example, on a Mac a user can easily convert an image to PDF, with Preview for example, or pretty much any other software that can view an image. On Windows, Office users can easily convert to PDF, and there are any number of other freely available PDF creation tools out there. An XFA form with a single large image field can actually be used for this, so that when it is saved the Reader user can import the image by selecting the saved XFA form.
Another option to placing an image on a page is to use a stamp. In Reader, the user can create a stamp from an existing PDF, but prior to Reader 11 the document has to be Reader-enabled so that at least commenting is allowed.
Reader 10 and 11 allow the user to add a signature as part of the new EchoSign functionality, which is implemented as a stamp, and the user can import an image. Adding non-signature images really isn't what this feature was meant for, but it works.

Apple engineers do not participate here. Have you updated to iOS 8.1 which was just release yesterday? Have you done any other troubleshooting? If you haven't start here.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
Now close all apps. In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If those three things made no difference, try this. Reset all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
If all of that fails, restore the iOS software. Backup your iPad before you restore, then restore the backup when you are done. If that still doesn't help, restore your iPad as new and start all over again. Most purchased content can be downloaded again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID and as long as the content is still available in the store.

Can I copy/paste from Define menu in iOS7?

I am on an iPad Mini running iOS 7. Is there a way on the iPad to copy/paste the results from the 'Define' menu? It would be great for studying language when annotating my study books on the iPad.

Jeditor pane cut, copy, paste

I have an applet using jeditor panes. when you right click a popup shows and you can choose to cut, copy, paste, select all. I use the functions copy, cut, paste, selectAll which jeditorpane inherits. This works properly in java 1.3X but in java 1.41 it is not working. Is there cliboard communication problems with java 1.41?

If you are having issues with your cutting, copying and pasting items from your iPad, you may want to try some things to troubleshoot.
First, quit all running applications and test again -
iOS: Force an app to close
Next, I would try restarting the iPad -
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Copy pasting rows in isync-d files goes wrong

I think I have hit an ugly bug... Here is the scenario:
- I take/create a sheet on numbers on my Mac (running Mountain Lion with Numbers '09, version 2.3 (554))
- I save this in iCloud, syncing with numbers on my iPad (iPad mini, running the latest version of IOS)
- I reopen the file on my Mac, I add a few rows, I then copy a bunch of rows somewhere else, and paste it in the newly inserted rows.
Then something goes terribly wrong. The paste does not occur; in some cases numbers hang, in some cases it destroys the full sheet. I cannot even revert, it gives me an error message whereby 'the file cannot be opened', or something similar.
Put it another way: the only way I can use icloud syncing for my number sheets is if I do not structurally change the sheet. :-(

you are right, it was not clear. I did the same action on a file that did not go through icloud, and things were fine. I tried it with two different files.
To make it clear, here are the flows
A on Mac -> duplicate to C -> save it on icloud -> look at it, change some value on iPad -> edit it on Mac with copy paste -> fail
A on Mac -> duplicate to M -> edit on Mac with copy paste -> works
I duly update systems and apps every time I am notified both on Mac and on my iPad Mini.

IPad Contacts - copy paste

I use the Notes section a lot in the Contacts application (iPad).
The copy paste function is still not working. When I type a note in the iPad Contacts application and select some text, select Copy, then Paste; I get a previous paste (-1) result, not the most recent copy result I am expecting.
Try "Normal" and "Modify" modes of editing "Notes" in the Contacts application.
There are a lot of little things like this that just make the basic apps broken. Quality control needs to be #1.

Disable copy paste iphone

Is there a way within ios 6 or jailbreak to disable "hold to copy/paste?" Ever since upgrading to ios 6, which I hate, it seems that hold to copy is more sensitive. Maybe not, but it seems that way to me. Now when I try to push a button on my phone, whether a game or in the browser, instead of pushing the button, it tries to select the text of the button for copying. It is very annoying.
Somebody please help with a suggestion. I know apple won't ever suggest it, but my phone is off warranty and I'm willing to jailbreak to stop this from happening. I'd rather have a non-jb fix though.

Editor - Cut, Copy & Paste styles

Using the package from http://www.calcom.de/eng/dev/cctxt.htm but it doesn't seem to work with cut, copy & paste styles
Still the cut, copy & paste styles should still work but not quite sure if its my IntroductionDocument class causing the problem or those methods. Attach is my working editor to download from:

* When I cut text with bold and plain, the whole paragraph goes bold?
The bold text Introduction is the first word of the document but still
it shouldn't effect the whole paragraph.
* When I paste, loose the bold styles but get the remanining plain text fonts instead.
