Copy/paste javascript error in DW8

All of a sudden, when I copy and paste a line of code in code
or design view, I get the following error message:
"While executing onLoad in Paste Interaction.htm, a
Javascript error occured"
I've reinstalled Dreamweaver 8 and that doesn't fix the
problem.
How can I fix this problem?

Calling Javascripts with a panel then prevents copy/paste functions in Photoshop CS5

Hi,
I have a simple panel in Photoshop that calls a Javascript when a button is pressed.
I have a simple script that does some Duplication of layers and a bit of simple image manipulation.
I run the script from the Extended Toolkit and eveything works fine.
I run the same script from the Panel and the script runs fine; but then the copy / Paste functionality of Photoshop is broken.
I have to close the Panel window or run the script from the toolkit to get the functionality back.
EDIT: I have not narrowed this down to simple interations with the Panel can casue this issue - clicking on icons, switching `Tabs` etc...
Does anyone know why this is happening?

Hi,
I created a simple panel that only had a button that calls an external JavaScript.
Even if I simply click on the panel a few times, move it around etc without executing the script, I can get the copy paste error. It happens 90% of the time and interestingly it only happens on the currently active document.
The only way to get the functionality back is to close the panel.
It seems to be a focus issue, but as I'm not calling any script in this case - where could I put the Bridge Talk command?

Error "Compile error: Invalid character" after copy paste operations in VBE 6.5 PowerPoint 2011

This is a weird problem with the VBE 6.5 in Office 2011, running natively on a Mac.
Sometimes, yet often, when I select a word by double clicking on it or a line by highlighting that line in the editor and then copy/paste it somewhere else in the code, the compiler throws the error "Compile error: Invalid character"
The thing is, what I see has been pasted is exactly the same as the source text. However, if I then paste the same clipboard item to a text editor, I can see that there is an 'invisible' character at the end of the string which is counted in the text editor
where the cursor is shifted past it but does not shown on the screen!!!
Back in the VBE, if I select a line that is dubious and drag it, the semi transparent dragged text has a '>' character on a new line.
In some copy/paste cases, the compiler doesn't see an error but the code doesn't work as expected and I have spent hours debugging stuff that has invisible characters in it (the hardest debugging I've ever had to do!).
I'm not sure if this example will paste correctly into the forum but this looks like 19 characters but is in fact 20 as there is the offending copy/paste invisible character between 'Test' and '.'

This seems to be a major oversight in the code of the VBE 6.5 so are Microsoft aware of this and when is it due to be fixed?

I had this exact issue. This is a terrible bug. The code looks perfect, but there are hidden characters that throw compiler errors. Thanks for the quick fix, Microsoft.

Javascript error in BEx after system database copy

Hello,
we made a database copy of our BW 3.1 system on another hardware. After having done everything described in the How-To-Guide "Enable SAP BW Web functionality", we called the BEx via URL. The login screen displays and also the Report menu, but there occur JavaScript errors on the page, that didn't occur in the copy master. E.g.
"SAPBWSSgdo is null or not an object" or
"SAPBWItemCatalog undefined".
These errors prevent the choice menu for BW report value options to be displayed, which is quite annoying. Does anybody know where the error might come from? Are there any components required by BEx which weren't copied with the database copy?

thanks you're helping me! The MIME-Repository objects like JS-Files, stylesheets and images can be read. The strange thing is:
The J2EE engine is hosted by a provider. When they're calling the BEx web reports, they're displayed correctly. But when we call them (via proxy!), the error occurs. Even the application management doesn't know where the error comes from, after having checked if the proxy caches old data. The error is still not resolved...
Do you have another idea?

Copy & Paste Stopped Working - DW8

Hi,
I read about this happening in DW8 on PCs. I used to be able to copy & paste text..let's say from an email into my DW design window but it stopped working last week. I don't know if maybe I turned something off?? Now I can only paste onto my code window..which is fine and all but not convenient at all.
I tried doing what they suggested for PCs....forcing DW to make a new panelset.xml file but it didn't seem to change anything.
Any help?

It was fixed by something as simple as rebooting my system.
Sorry to panic but if anyone else has this problem try the old reboot and it may help.

I am in a desperate situation.
I am working on a project that I did in Pages, don't know what version I am in but I have a 10.6.8 OSX. I have a Macbook Pro.
My problem is I didn't turn on the Time Machine (which I NOW know I should have done).
I have been copy pasting some text into a master file to make use of the Table of Contents feature.
In the midst and rush of things, I ended up with an error.
I erased part the original file, I was copying from. I discovered it a day or two after.
The thng is I had emptied my trash bin to save space almost the same time too.
Is there anyway I could retrieve the original version of the that file. Might it be hidden somewhere in my hard drive?
How do I retrieve it?
That was probably 4-5 pages long and now its 1 page only.
Please please help,would appreciate any tips.

No I'm sorry, but it is gone. The older file is overwritten by the newer when you save.
No comfort now, but if you had upgraded to OSX 10.7 (Lion) there would have been an older version retained within the file and you could have regressed back to that.

Copy/paste error in Illustrator CC 2014?

Anyone experiencing any copy/paste behavior in AI CC 2014? When I copy objects from one Illustrator file and paste them into another, I get double the objects onto the canvas (from 2, 4, from 3, 6, etc.) ... and I do not have a trembling set of digits that causes my to paste multiple times in a millisecond. This only happens "here and there" BUT often enough to have me asking you all. Thank you.

You may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Recordset Copy/Paste Not Working in CS4 for ASP/Javascript and ASP/VBSript.

Is anyone else having this problem? I get errors. Error says "While executing pasteServerBehavior in Recordset.htm, a javascript error occurred. I have CS4 installed on 2 PCs. Same problem on both.

Hi there.
Javascript or any other script is not actually executed inside the JEditorPane. If you want your JEditorPane to run this you must include or write yourself, a browser type of feature to execute that code.
If all you want is to be able to click on the link and take you to another page, put the href's in the normal body of the html and your hyperlinklistener should behave itself fine. The example in the API work's fine for my purposes.

I'm sick en tierd of copy pasting text and get another output of my fontsize. For example: I copy a text with a font sz of 16 px, that size become 15.98px.

Copy/paste errors after updating Acrobat Professional to 8.1.3

I as well as my colleague has recently experienced problems with copying/pasting comments in and between pdf-documents. It seems to me that the problems appeared after updating to 8.1.3. Very frustrating because we are using Acrobat intensively in our roof reading process.
I found one other thread mentioning this but there is no solution.

Sorry to hear about the trouble. We've heard some reports of similar issues with files not opening after the 11.0.01/10.1.5/9.5.3 updates were installed. I would suggest uninstalling Acrobat, the reinstalling and patching up to 10.1.4 again as an immediate solution.
To help us figure out what may be going with your particular files, could you open one in Acrobat and choose File > Properties. I'd like to know what it says next to the PDFProducer and Application lines.

I have been trying to embed a google map on a InDesign CC page, NO LUCK YET.
I spoke several Adobe InDesign help line people, unfortunately they couldn't solve it.
Here is the problem: I tried with different versions
1- version) I copy of a map code and paste the code on a page, shows grey square round image and nothing (no map)
2- version) From Object menu:
    "Select insert HTML.."
    "This is an HTML snippet."
I paste the codes into HTML box, a second later, small box message,
     "JavaScript Error encountered while loading HTML"
I have 64bit 12gb ram computer with windows 8.1
InDesign CC version 9.2.1 x64
Java 7 update 51
I have tried with Internet explorer, google chrome and fire fox, and different maps, still no luck.
Can anyone solve this problem?

Yes, Google changed something and not for the better.
Try a bing map instead. They work fine.

JavaScript error in menus.xml

I'm working with DW 8, and some template files created in DW
MX2004.Has anyone experienced the following error when closing old
template files?
While executing DWMenu_File_Close command in menus.xml, the
following JavaScript error(s) occurred:
Exception thrown in native function.
I've gotten a similar error before, but it had to do with
imbedding library items inside template pages. But, all of those
had been created in DW MX2004. Any ideas?

PackageMaker Javascript Error

Back in May, I built a distribution package for installing a bunch of software the school (where I work) uses, like Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. I built individual installers for each thing (like one for apps to put into the Applications folders, another for other installers like Flash & Office updates, etc), then used the distribution package to make one monster installer package that I could run once and have all the updates done at once to save me a ton of time.
All summer, every time a new version of something came out, I updated the individual installer packages, then tried to update the distribution package also. However, every time I tried to install the updated distribution package on a computer, it gives this error: "There was an error while evaluating Javascript for the package."
It gives this same error for any computer (iBooks, Macbooks, iMacs, etc - all running 10.4). I tried rebuilding the distribution package from scratch at least three separate times and still get the Javascript error. I am able to use each of the individual packages, but not the distribution package. I didn't change the process from building the one back in May, so what am I doing wrong here?
