Copy/paste no longer functions in Firefox. I'm on Mac.

I recently updated Firefox and since then copy/paste does not work. It may actually be the paste that is failing as I think I may have glimpsed activity under the Edit when copying using the keyboard short cut [command C]. Help please. This is maddening.

Has this continued to be a problem? Does it happen on other browsers? Have you tried using the Firefox > Edit menu options for copy/paste? I haven't heard of anyone else with this problem, so more detail would be helpful.

Yes, I am having the same problem... mine works most of the time, but fails about every 1 out of 5 attempts, sometimes multiple times in a row. Extremely annoying. There is a bug report for this:

It started happening to me as soon as I upgraded to FF 22, even on local HTML files where there are no clipboard events.

I am working in Ancestry.com. If I am in Internet Explorer, I can copy a picture & then paste it in my pictures, on my computer. If I am using Firefox, I don't understand which things to do to copy & then paste a picture, like I can in Internet Explorer. I prefer to use Firefox, but need to be able to use this copy & paste feature, often. I just downloaded Firefox, & started using it, again, yesterday. I just got a new computer in June.

When you run out of keyboard short cuts, enter the addtional names in the name field in the keyword editor. That will start a new Keyword Collection. You can apply the addtional keywords to multiple cllips on the event browser. Or you can drag the clips into the Collection in the Event Library.

Is the problem that a paste button provided by the sitebuilder does nothing when you click it? This could be related to a Firefox security feature that bars sites from reading your Windows clipboard. Or it could just be broken. If it's a sitebuilder button, I could look into past threads for possible solutions/workarounds.
For pasting text, instead of using a button provided by the sitebuilder, can you use one of the Windows shortcuts?

That might not work with images...
Finally, I will say that Internet Explorer 11 is a pretty solid product. If you need to use it for your website builder tool because it only works well in IE, I don't think you are taking a lot of security risk there. Just don't stray over to random sites you don't trust.

I have tried everything. uninstall reinstall. I couldn't test for flash because the function wouldn't work. I uninstalled Firefox twice and uninstalled flash twice. I cleared history, etc. I called my tech support for my multiple listing service, since I can't even log on without flash. He checked everything, and told me he couldn't figure out why it is not working. the plugin for shockwave flash is there. I know flash is on my machine because when I tried to install it after installing it this morning, it said it was already installed with the latest version. Later on I uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Flash works on Safari and Chrome. Only Firefox has this problem. I am very frustrated. I had to use Safari to even use your "ask a question" since Firefox uses flash to ask a question!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

I just loaded Ubuntu 11.04, and my Logitech Marble Mouse scrolling feature no longer functions in Firefox. Any suggestions on how to get this fixed?

There actually is a wiki entry that points to Delightfully's posts on his blog. Honestly, I've never edited a wiki and I wasn't sure if I'd be stepping on someone else's wiki-toes (so to speak). If there is interest in that, though, I'll learn to edit a wiki and add it.

The mouse right-click copy-paste menu often fails in Firefox 4. If I highlight something to copy and then use the mouse to right-click on it, the menu will appear down and to the right. Second, the highlighted command (i.e. copy, paste, etc) will be two steps beneath the mouse pointer. Third, if one chooses "copy" for example, your highlighted text might or might not (usually Not) be copied. This works as expected (perfectly) on this Firefox site, but fails on all other web pages. I 'Copy & Paste' from within Firefox quite often but for some reason the function has stopped working when using some sites, even the menu item 'Paste' is greyed out, yet I can open Notepad and 'Paste'. I tried pasting into 'Notepad' then copying from Notepad and pasting back into Firefox, which I've found in the past sometimes works but today even that does not work. I accept it may not actually be a Firefox problem but I have noticed since upgrading to the latest version, I am having several problems with crashing and hanging exceedingly long execution of the browser.

Just upgraded to iOS5 last night, and I just noticed I can no longer copy/paste from Safari to Office HD. It goes through all the motions, but there is no text pasted. I tried rebooting, same deal. I can paste the text in notes, but it doesn't work in Office. Fix anyone?

I too am having the same problem copying and pasting from safari after upgrading to ios5. I am able to copy and paste from normal web pages, it is when I attempt to copy and paste from a website that is using java script.
When I go to any other program and paste it does not paste the information from the java script page but continues to paste the information from a regular web page.
I had no problem copying and pasting from JavaScript pages before the upgrade to ios5. I have tried to turn off JavaScript in the settings with no avail.

Are SMS forwarding/Editing and Text Copy Paste functions supported in Firefox OS?

Could not find any options to forward SMS or edit text messages, neither could find any options to copy paste general text. Most importantly, in the number dial pad, the cursor can't be moved to the desired location to add digits. Am I wrong? If so how do I go about these things?

How do I reinstall the edit button on my Firefox 4 toolbar; cut, copy, paste, and print?

I recently have been having problems with my Firefox 4 tool bars. Right now, the Edit icons are no longer on the tool bar, specifically Cut, Copy, Paste, and Print. If there were other Edit icons, they too are gone. All the other icons have remained.
I would appreciate it if you could advise me how to reinstall those specific icons.
Also recently, ALL my tool bars, and task and status bar disappeared. This was only in Firefox 4.0; IE 8 was not affected. Clicking F11 did not work. I could not function without them. Then, a short time later, they "automatically" reappeared. I have not idea of why the disappeared or reappeared.

You can find the Copy, Paste, and Cut buttons next to Firefox > Edit (and in its sub menu) and in the regular Edit menu on the menu bar (press F10 if the menu bar is hidden).
The buttons next to Firefox > Edit are enabled if there is something to do with them, just like with the toolbar buttons.
You can find the Copy, Paste, and Cut toolbar buttons in the toolbar palette in the Customize window and drag them on a toolbar.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
