Copy Paste of clips within a sequence closes the programm saying TickTime.cpp-290

I got the problem after a while when I want to copy and paste a clip or audiofile within a sequence the programm closes by saying Error TickTime.cpp-290.
It also happens when I open certian sequences.
All video/audiofiles are the same format.
I already used pp-repair.exe like in the forum but the problem isnt resolved. Importing the projectfile in a new project it tells me the same error.
Has anyone an idea?

Yes unfortunatly all values were correct and I had not to replace any comma by a full stop.

I am using Premiere 6 on a Windows 7 machine.
Is there a way to copy and paste a clip from the timeline in one project in to another project?... I can copy my clip, but when I open the other project, it will not allow me to paste it in there... but I am able to copy and paste a clip within a single project. I tried everything... pasting in to a new video track and pasting in to an existing video track in the second project, but the paste option simply isn't there when I open the second project.
And if Premiere itself will not allow me to do this in any way, will a copy-paste clipboard type of accessory app allow me to do this?... if so, which is the best, trustworthy copy-paste app that is malware free?

I just read the page that you provided about "Handles"... thanks allot for that ARTICLE. In your article and the subsequent article HANDLES, "Transitions Overview: applying transitions" linked from your article, it indicates (in PrE and PrPro anyway - I'm in Premiere 6) that transitions can be applied to non-Video 1 tracks... the paragraph below is a quote from that "Transitions Overview: applying transitions" article...
"Whatever is below the transition in a Timeline panel appears in the transparent portion of the transition (the portion of the effect that would display frames from the adjacent clip in a two-sided transition). If the clip is on Video 1 or has no clips beneath it, the transparent portions display black. If the clip is on a track above another clip, the lower clip is shown through the transition, making it look like a double-sided transition."
So this indicates that transitions can be applied to non-Video 1 tracks since it is referring to content in tracks beneath a transparent fade that would show through... and only non-Video 1 tracks can be transparent and have other clips "beneath" them in the timeline, right?
In the screenshot sample in your article at this LINK, I see the handles (referred to as B and E) and I can see in my monitor window how those handles would be represented by the two little bracket symbols { } ... you can see how they appear in my monitor window in Premiere 6 in this screenshot, and below, from a different thread that isn't related to this topic.
But I'm still trying to figure out how the handles can be applied in the non-Video 1 tracks in the timeline to insert a transition (cross-dissolve) between two clips.
Can you advise me on this?... I posted a separate thread HERE on this topic, but I haven't got any further with finding an answer.

Do I need to somehow change my Layout to make the Document accept numerical values instead of requiring alpha-numeric values? I need to be able to populate the Document with a large amount of transactions and cannot feasibly go through every transaction to add the alpha-valued name of the account segment to every segment that requires it. The segments in particular causing the problem are "Expnd Type" and "Organization Name" which are both alpha-numeric and as such contain the segment number and name; I need to be able to only have to enter the Natural Account Number (6-digit number only) and the Organization Number (5-digit number only).

I get an error message saying 'An error has caused Photoshop to stop working correctly. Windows will close the programme and notify you if a solution is available'. I have had no notification. My old Photoshop CS5 works fine, but as I'm paying for CC2014

             I'm not sure I have the answers to all your questions. Although I use Photoshop and Lightroom extensively, I'm not a 'techy'.

1TB hard drive
500G RAM
Windows 8.1   64- bit
Intel core i5 4440
If I open Photoshop cc14 without opening any image, I still get an error message that reads: 'Photoshop has encountered a problem with the display driver, and has temporarily disabled enhancements which use the graphics hardware'.
There is also a link to the Adobe help site, but I'm not sure exactly what I should be downloading from there.

When I copy something in Mozilla Browser, if I close the browser, I cannot paste it in another place (the browser forget if it is closed). This is not heppening in Internet Explorer.

When I want to paste that information on any other place (in a document, in chat, in messenger etc.) there is nothing to paste.
The browser forgets the information copied if it is closed. If it's not closed, he doesn't forget.
This is happening on any PC, desktop, laptop and it doesn't matter if it is on vista, windows xp etc.
This problem doesn't exist on Internet Explorer.
Can you tell me if I have a way to change this problem ? To choose whether i want to be that way or not.

I know this, but i was wondering if there is a way, a setting which will make Mozilla to not forget the inofromation copied after it is closed.
Internet Explorer doesn't clear the information copied on clipboard after it is closed. And you don't have to make a setting for this. He just remember it.

Bizarre substituion of clips within a sequence

I've been working on a documentary, and I've got multiple sequences in the project file which themselves use over twenty "raw tape" files. This afternoon I discovered that two of the raw tape files in the browser have been replaced with another raw tape file from the project (but just within FCE. If I use the finder to click on the file it's okay). To be clear, I have interviews with subjects A, B, and C, and these are stored as raw tape. I've used clips from all three in various sequences I've been building. Now, however, where in a sequence I'd used pieces of A or B, the sequence now shows footage from C. Likewise, if I click on raw tape A or B, I'm actually shown tape from C. It's totally bizarre and somewhat frightening, as I have no idea what's caused this to happen or how to guard against it with the other sequences (much less go back and put the sequences together with the correct clips).

Thanks. I spent some time with a friend on Skype tonight and he suggested setting the camera to 720p30 and then chosing HD and 720p30 from easy setup.
The substitution problem was solved by reconnecting the media. Not sure how it got corrupted.

Naming clips within a sequence

Help, I'm stuck! I've created a sequence from a subclip and would like to assign a different name to each clip within the sequence. Changing one clip affect all the others. I have tried all the options described in the editing workshop book by Tom Wolsky but have not been able to do it.
What am I doing wrong?

Thank you for your reply. This is what I was doing
1. Made the sequence
2. Clicked on the Sequence 1 icon on the browser and selected Make Sequence Clips Independent
3. Moved the sequence clips from the time line to the browser
4. Changed the name in one clip and they all changed including the master
After reading your reply,
1. Made the sequence
2. Highlighted the sequence in the time line
3. Selected make clips independent from the Sequence pull-down menu
4. Moved the sequence to the browser and was able to re-name them independently.
Obviously I misinterpreted the explanation in the book.

Pasting edited clips from SD sequence to HD Sequence

I've been editing in SD NTSC DV 29.97 and now I'm switching to editing in Pro Res HQ 1080p 23.98. I want to cut and paste some edits from the SD sequences to new HD sequences (source footage is ProRes HQ 1080p converted from HDV on capture) the clips paste in ok and re-size to their native size but the volume on some of the clips goes to zero and the timing changes putting gaps between clips, is there anyway to fix this? I guess its the frame rate change? Its a massive pain to go through and correct it all manually.. Any ideas? thx

Yeah, it is the frame rate difference. FCP will not do the conversion well. Best to use Compressor to uprez this footage, and convert the frame rate.

Copy - Pasting .mov clips causes QT crash?

I don't have occassion to do this often but for some (long!) time now I find that when I've copy-pasted a few short clips together (to make a longer clip), QT will suddenly quit without warning. This is accompanied by the message asking if I want to make a report to Apple. (Lately - I've given up on reporting - the problem has existed over a couple generations of QT (6.x and 7.x) on two different Macs (a G4 eMac and an Intel Mac Pro).
Apparently this will never be fixed - but does anyone have any "work around" to avoid these crashes?

All the video clips I take are done with one of two Canon cameras - both are "still" cameras which take outstanding video (stored as .AVI files). When I'm copy-pasting or as happened this morning, just changing the size of these files (whether or not I've already saved them as .mov files), - QuickTime quits like a pathetic, sick little puppy. This has been happening for *a year!* now! (before around v. 6.5) used to be a rock solid foundation for "basic video" editing and conversion.
Ironically - I'm running QT 7.4 on the Mac Pro right now and it does not have any problem with MPEG4 files - which is what you're asking about.
I did send Apple another report on this just before replying to your post - here is that (with crash report). -->>

Open vi within vi and close the the last one

Hi all
I've searched the solution to my problem, but didn't find.
Short brief:
I have a VI that uses for authorization, then if all O.K it should open other VI("code-vi") and run it and close itself.
I saw that some people recommended , that it can be done by just putting the "code-vi" in the right place, but when I'm following this method , the authorization VI can't be closed.
the other method I tried is to put a sequence where the first stage is opening the "code-vi" with "vi server ref" and the second stage is close this VI also with "vi server ref". with this method i'm facing two problems , the first is the fact that all the vi's are within a project , and I want that the "path refernce" would be generic - I can put the folder that holdes all the files in any PC and it would run without redirecting the path.
The second problem is that I can't find the way to automaticaly run the "code-vi" when it invoked.
which files should I attach if i'm using project ?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. The "Run When Opened" property for the VI doesn't care how the VI was opened, just that it was opened.

Why does Thunderbird stop responding when I attempt to close the programme?

Thunderbird stops responding whenever I attempt to close the program. If I click on the 'X' top right or rt-select >close window, from the task bar the Thunderbird window either turns white and freezes and reports that it is not responding. Then Microsoft asks if I want to wait or close the program. I have tried waiting but there's only so many hours in a day!
I have also been having problems lately with loads of emails that should be, and previously were junk appearing in my in box; a load of salicious emails. I thought the problem was with the trash folder but I deleted the trash folders and tried to install a new trash folder as a sub-folder of my inbox but the small install window froze as did the main Thunderbird window. Now I no longer have a trash folder and after several reboots Thunderbird continues to freeze and does not respond.
I removed both Google Chrome and Thunderbird and re-installed them without any apparent result. I have shut down all extensions. And would appreciate your help in getting Thunderbird up and running again.

Unable to Copy/Paste Named Range within Same Worksheet

Excel becomes unresponsive when copying a named range over one column. I have multiple sheets and it works fine on all but two of them. This is not just a macro issue as I can't get the paste to work even when doing it manually outside of the
macro. I've tried deleting the name and recreating it, but to no avail. Has anyone else had this issue?

I suggest to copy without selecting the ranges. it will save a lot of time

Is there any way to copy/paste multiple markers at a time, keeping the same intervals?

In Final Cut Pro X, I would like to copy many markers from a clip and paste them onto another clip with the same intervals, but I cannot find the way... Would it be possible?

I think the way I would do it is to copy the section of the timeline that has the existing markers and paste it to where you want the new ones. Both the markers and the content will travel to the new position on your timeline. Then use the replace edit to insert the new content, The markers will remain in place.

Copy/paste clips from a library/project to another copying media on the new library

I want to copy/paste some clips from a project timeline to another but COPYING MEDIA also on the second library/project. How can I do?

I'm in the project "Anima mia" (which is together with an event in a library: all with the same name "Anima mia"). I want to pick up FROM THE TIMELINE some audio clips (which are the edited part of bigger clips placed in the browser) and some video clips (which are the edited part of bigger clips placed in the browser) and copy them on a new Project called "Riferimento" (which is with an event inside a library: all with the same name "Riferimento"), and I want to copy also the concerning original files to the new library. But I can't, infact if I copy/paste these clips in the new project/library I get this
I'd like to choose if leaving the original media in the source library or if phisical copying them to the new library. But it doesn't seems possible here....
Is it clear?
