Copy/Paste Style not working consistently in iOS Pages

I cannot figure out what is going on with iOS Pages Copy/Paste Styles.
Sometimes it works, but often it doesn't. I copy a style, and then select the text I want to paste the style to, and the 'paste style" option doesn't appear. It's as if no style was copied in the first place. Tried multiple times with the same result.
Also, it is not really clear to me WHAT is included in iOS Pages styles. It appears the font and size is included, but not the color. Not sure about other elements (line spacing, etc.). Is this described completely someplace?

You are not doing, something wrong. I have the same problem.

This must be a BUG, in Pages, after the latest update.
Had zero problem, with this before.
Have to over and over again turn off iPad and restart it.
Very, very annoying!

Apple engineers do not participate here. Have you updated to iOS 8.1 which was just release yesterday? Have you done any other troubleshooting? If you haven't start here.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
Now close all apps. In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If those three things made no difference, try this. Reset all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
If all of that fails, restore the iOS software. Backup your iPad before you restore, then restore the backup when you are done. If that still doesn't help, restore your iPad as new and start all over again. Most purchased content can be downloaded again at no charge as long as you use the same Apple ID and as long as the content is still available in the store.

Copy and paste buffers not working correctly in iOS 8.1m

Both iPads2's in my family arsenal are exhibiting what I believe to be a bug in the iOS8.1 (perhaps corrected by 8.1.1?), in the cut/copy & paste buffer stack.
When invoking the operation to copy and paste data from one application to another, the paste action consistently selects the previous (e.g., stack level 2 rather than 1 or Top) data as what is to be pasted.
In other words, if you have used the copy and paste routine twice, the second pasting will supply one with the paste data from the first operation, rather than the desired data from the second copy and paste operation.
Copy and paste appears to work correctly from within a single application, but consistently fails when copying data from one application to another.
Does anyone know of a work-around for this bug? Is it a bug that others have identified? Is there a new selection filter menu option for copy and paste operations, and what method is used to invoke the menu?
I hope this is addressed soon, as I use Cut/Copy & Paste operations extensively (I've already had Carpal Tunnel Release surgery once and don't relish a repeat performance, no matter how successful the first was in correcting the damage).
Any clues as to what's going on here?

All you can do is simply see if iOS 8.1.1 helps you with this. With some people it has, and others it has not. I would also recommend doing a clean install of your system, too.
Follow this procedure for a Troubleshooting Methodology ... basically reset to factory default condition -BUT- be sure to do the following methodically and also to follow the part with Apple Support!
First you want to make sure you have several backups of your data and done with a couple of "different" sources. Be sure to understand what data is backed up and what is NOT on iCloud Backup and iTunes Backup. Use a variety of methods for backup ... you might check into Dropbox, in addition to your Apple options.
Then turn off your desktop anti-virus software when using iTunes for this reset to factory default. After you do that reset, then leave your iPad in its factory default state and see how it operates then. If you encounter any problems in that factory default state, then take it to Apple Support, and let them know that you have just reset it to that state with iTunes and have not put any of your data back on and it is operating in this fashion (whatever the problem is) in that pristine state. Make sure you keep that trouble ticket number, because if it has to be escalated through Apple Support, you're going to find all communications tied in with that number. If the lower level help isn't able to help you, then escalate it to a higher level to examine the problem. Keep at it with that trouble ticket number until Apple Support arrives at a solution to that problem. Be methodical and keep at it.
On the other hand, if everything is okay with the factory default condition, then restore your backup. Some people have discovered that the problem resides in the apps or something in the restored backup. If that's the case, then it's going to be trying and difficult to find out which developer's app is causing you the problem. And ... it's true ... that a developer not following Apple's instructions and guidelines for his app can CAUSE YOU TROUBLE. This kind of thing does happen from developers, especially when a new system upgrade comes out, because some developers ignore what Apple tells them about changes coming, and what they do BREAKS SOMETHING.
This is a troubleshooting methodology that you are going through. See it through to the end.

Copy\Paste Views not working in SCOM 2012 R2 console

Hi, I am using SCOM 2012 R2 and i have come across a problem that when i copy a view and try to paste it in same management pack, the paste action is not working. Cut and paste is working fine but copy paste not working. When i copy any view, the paste option
come alive but did not work when i clicked on it.

I have tested it in my SCOM 2012 SP1 Environment and it worked there from Sealed to Unsealed and Unsealed to Unsealed.
I have no R2 Environment in reach at Moment so i cannot test it there.

Pdf creation: filename copy/paste does not work

Hi!
There seems to be a bug in OSX 10.4 - when printing a document and saving it as a pdf-document you get asked for the filename. At OS X 10.3 you could simply paste in the filename - with OSX 10.4 there is no copy paste possible even if there is a correct name in the clipboard.
I tried it on different macs. I really would need this function. Please fix this bug. It worked before.

I'm not on my Mac to test this, but have you tried using Command+V to paste? It isn't unusual to not be able to access menus & toolbars while certain dialogs have the focus. I honestly can't remember back to 10.3, but if there has been a change it was most likely on purpose, not a bug... although I acknowledge that the definition of "bug" is both variable as well as subjective

Copy/Paste does not work - iTunes Upgrade 10.5.1.42

A new problem with copy/paste album artwork started with latest iTunes upgrade from:
10.5.x
to
10.5.1.42
Before you could copy (rght-clk or Ctrl-C) an album artwork within iTunes library or iPod and then
paste (rght-clk or Ctrl-V).
This copy/paste feature no longer works. from researching this issue, it seems to be an iTunes issue -
either by Apple design or a bug ?
Any comments ?
Is there an elegant way of reverting back to iTunes 10.5 when the copy/paste feature worked ?

999 times out of 1000 this isn't a Reader problem but a case of bad OCR when the document was put together. More often than not it happens with scanned documents and not those created from text docs.

I am trying to complete my website data entry with fire fox since the security of internet explorer is questionable. I am having no success in transferring written or graphic documents from Fire Fox to my website.

I assume this is a sitebuilder tool. Could you mention which sitebuilder it is?
Is the problem that a paste button provided by the sitebuilder does nothing when you click it? This could be related to a Firefox security feature that bars sites from reading your Windows clipboard. Or it could just be broken. If it's a sitebuilder button, I could look into past threads for possible solutions/workarounds.
For pasting text, instead of using a button provided by the sitebuilder, can you use one of the Windows shortcuts?

* right-click > Paste
* Edit menu > Paste ''(if you use the classic menu bar)''
That might not work with images...
Finally, I will say that Internet Explorer 11 is a pretty solid product. If you need to use it for your website builder tool because it only works well in IE, I don't think you are taking a lot of security risk there. Just don't stray over to random sites you don't trust.

The copy/ paste function not working after OS 8 upgrade

after OS 8 upgrade my iPad no longer works. It will not copy, then paste . The screen just starts scrolling up on its own. Very frustrating. Ipad Air worked perfectly prior to doing OS 8 install. This *****! Any ideas?

Keynote 6.0 copy-paste is not working

I am not able to copy or paste anything (text nor images) within and from Keynote 6.0.1. Anybody else has this problem?

Copy and pasting images, text, shapes or graphs between slides should work without issue in 6.5.
There are some issues pasting into Keynote.
Delete Keynote, empty trash then install from the Mac App Store.

Tween : copy / paste properties not working on a particular tween

I'm making very simple tweens with the "new" (not classic) method.
I want the object to move only after a while so I'm trying to duplicate start position to a later keyframe but, for some reason, it just doesn't work on my project whereas it work on a test file.
I copy and paste properties of the first frame to the other keyframe but it's not applied at all.
1 = start position
2 = keyframe with pasted properties but position is still the same (between 1 and 3)
3 = end position
Any reason why this wouldn't work ? Thanks.

3 is a keyframe. it doesn't matter what you change in keyframe 2. keyframe 3 is unchanged and is expected to remain unchanged unless you change it.
start over and drag the start (keyframe 1) to frame 12 where you want the tween to start. if you want the tween to end on frame 24, remove some frames from that tween after moving its start (and end).

Copy/paste does not work on my DROID ULTRA

It is so aggravating when I copy text and go to the message center or text someone and what I copied does paste. What pastes is what I had in the memory before I copied what I want to paste. It is so frustrating

Problem: Copy&Paste DocumentSizeFilter not working when pasting from Word

I have an application (Ekit HTML Editor) that I am customizing to satisfy my needs: I need a DocumentSizeFilter to stop the users from entering too much information. The filter already works when I paste plain text from other Windows applications into the JTextPane (i.e. it recognizes the insertion and stops if too much text would be inserted). The problem is: When I do a c&p from MS Word, the DocumentSizeFilter seems not to recognize the insert (only an insertUpdate in the DocumentListener event is fired as it should) leading to an insertion of the pasted information although the text is too long.
My question is now: Do I maybe have to implement a "special" DocumentSizeFilter for the case of the insertion of HTML data (I think MS Word pastes its information to the clipboard as HTML)? Or can somebody point me in the right direction what I did oversee here.
The JTextPane contentType is: "text/HTML"

You're probably doing something wrong, because I can get this to work normally.
Have you installed the filter in the document correctly? Have you looked [java tutorials for text components|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/generaltext.html]?
Anyway, both your code and java tutorials one forgot to check 'str' for null at replace function. As describe in the API:

Fire fox is crashing as well as "sent" mails are not opening, all of a sudden, continue & cancel will appear, sometimes copy & paste is not working

-The system has crashed/closed on it's own. Have had to put the pc off to get the system started again, yesterday, the hotmail was not opening either, once it opened after some time, other times I had to open Mozilla again.
-Some of the "sent" emails are not opening for me to check what I've written.
- After I've opened my hot mail account, the continue & cancel signs will appear again.

As the day progressed, all other files quit being able to save to the desktop. As I tried to diagnose the issue, I went through the Repair Disk in Disk Utilities and was told by that program to close and use the disk repair from Recovery HD (CMD + R upon reboot). I did that and was eventually told the HDD was too far gone to repair. I reformatted and restored from Time Machine following the instructions given. All is good now after 24 hours of work. I have no idea what happened but I'm not feeling real safe about my mac today. I have an SSD on order.
