Copy Pearl data to new phone

I have a Pearl 8100 which has developed a bad screen.I was given another 8100 as a replacement. Same network, T-Mobile. I want to copy all the data, address book, etc. and setup from the old 8100 to the new one. I backed up the old 8100 using Blackberry DM but when I restored to the new 8100 nothing was changed. What am I doing wrong?

Hi,
I was wondering if my SIM card holds all my addressbook data? I have just purchased a 6085 and want to transfer the data from my 6061 to my new phone. Will it all be in my SIM card or do I have to re-enter the contents of my old phone data manually to my new one?

The 6061 doesn't appear to have any connectivity with the outside. No connection to a computer, no bluetooth etc.
The only way you have of saving yourself any time is to copy your contacts to the SIM card if they're not already there. You can find the commands to do all of this in the "Contacts" menu.
This also assumes that there's enough room on the SIM for all of your numbers. Most SIMs are limited to 200 or 250 numbers, and if you have contacts with multiple numbers (home, mobile, work etc.) they will use up as many slots as there are numbers for those contacts.
Once everything is copied to your SIM, you can insert that SIM into the new phone and most of your data will be accessible. I say "most" because details other than straightforward phone numbers will not have been transferred since the mechanisms on a SIM cannot store them.

Copy dating for a new phone

I am buying the new 16g iphone today and was wondering what is the best way to copy all my data from my current phone to my new one. Will my contacts be on my sim card? I guess I can just sync my music and photos again right?

Your contacts and calendar information will be in whatever program you use to access them, i.e. Outlook, etc. The photos and music are synced via iTunes, so that will take care of that, as well as the mail settings that you have. Make sure you do a sync with the old phone, just prior to activating the new phone.

HT4859 Using iCloud to restore data to new phone

I had to replace my iPhone today and when I connected it to my computer, I accidentally clicked "restore to previous date" (or something similar) that happened to be way back in 2011. I should have clicked restore new phone so that I could have everything that was backed up last night. Anyone know how to undo/redo this? I have only texts, emails, contacts etc from 2011 now!

How do you restore icloud data to new phone

I have just gotten a replacement phone and I think I correctly saved my data on icloud. Now I want to restore it on the new phone. I can't seem to figure out how to do it . Please help.

If the phone is already set up, go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, then go through the setup screens on the phone and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup and follow the prompts. Make sure it's connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

I recently subscribed to iCloud. Do I still have to back up purchases of songs, etc., or will the iCloud take care of this? Also, I am going to replace my iPhone 4 with an iPhone 5. How do I transfer all of the songs, etc. to the new device?

Your purchased media such as songs and apps are automatically "stored" by iCloud in the sense that you can redownload them at any time (provided they are still available in the iTunes and App stores), as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.

Difficulties getting old backup data to new phone

So, I thought it would be a simple thing to do - But no.I had a Xperia ZR (with Lolipop) and bought myself a Z3 compact. Before I resetted my ZR and made a backup using the backup program that the phone has in it, not PC companion. The result was a nice 800mb file on the SD-card, with all the apps, messeges, contacts and so on on it. So far so good. The major problem starts when I was about to resett all my old data to my new phone, using the exact same program on the Z3 compact. It can´t find the file at all, there is no option in restoring my old data in that app "backup & restore". All files are there in a map called ´.semc-fullbackup´ but the app can´t obviously do anything with it. A little help would be much appriciated! P.S my Sony ZR is sold, so no luck there.. Cheers

There should be another option except for the one which requires the old phone found at Xperia transfer > Sony/Sony Ericsson device > Xperia backup from computer.

SFC label not readable how to copy the data to new SFC in panel product

We have one SFC label that is not readable. We know the serial number but how to re-label the product with new SFC and copy the data from the previous one?
Problem is that the SFC is for panel product with three locations and all locations have assembly and NC data.
Any ideas?

I would suggest to test using the SFC Reassignment activity or Re-label activities.

Help! Problem with old phone's data to new phone.

My 4S got stolen, so I got a new one.
I initally selected the "start new iPhone" option, it copied all the apps, but no previous messages. When I realized that, I restored the new phone and then selected to restore the back up from the old phone. Now, the messages are up but I have no apps.
And I don't see the usual iPhone iTunes startup where you should see the tabs. It still shows the "Set Up Your iPhone" option.
What am I doing wrong and what should I do?

Did you use Apple's migration tool? It misses a lot of support files, especially in the Application Support directories.
You'll have to copy those files manually, or reinstall the app.

Transfer encrypted data to new phone

Hello Sony community:
I own a xperia Z with all the data encrypted.
Under Setting > Security > Encryption > Encrypt phone Encrypted
I got a xperia Z3 recently and so I downloaded Xperia Transfer app but it won't work as my data were encrypted.
After I open the App, I got "The SD card is encrypted. Cannot extract data."
The "Next" button is deemed.
Any solutions?

Sorry there are no ways to do this - That is the purpose of encryption to stop data been copied etc incase of loss or theft

Copy Infotype data to new personnel assignment in MGE

Our client is going to use Managment of Global Employment module for Inter-country transfers. While transfering an employee from one country to another a new assignment is created in the host country and the assignment in home country is terminated. We need the data in certain custom/standard infotypes to be copied to the new assignment created, for reporting purpose. I've been trying to achieve the same using the Copy Infotypes under the Settings for Concurrent Employment node, but it doesn't seem to work.
Am i missing something here or is there another way to do the same?

I want to set up a separate icloud ID so that it is only on my new device. I still want to keep the same apple ID for purchases. Can I do this and better yet when do I do this...before the purchase, after the purchase and backing up of data. Where do I go to create a new one?
