COPY PO function in SRM 7

Hi all,
We are on SRM 7.1. ECS.
In the PO POWL,I can see all PO's but when I select a PO,the COPY button is disabled.Any idea how to COPY a PO in SRM 7?

Hello,
By standard, this button is enabled.
Make sure that your user has the standard PURCHASING role provided by SAP.
Also, check it the user is in the same purchasing group of that purchase order.

Partner function in SRM and R3

hi Experts,
we are having SRM 7.0.(ECS).we have a requirement as mentioned below.
We maintain multiple Ordering adress(OA),IP in R3 for a vendor master.When we replicate this vendor ro SRM.we dont ahve this data copied to BP in SRM?
But we have a provision of definfing New partner fucntion and Partner schema in SRM.Can we link these partner functions with the ones in R3? If we configure the parnter functions and partner schema in SRM ,then we replciate vendors . At this time will the partner functions be transferred?
How can we use the partner function facility in SRM?

Business Process is as follow:
1. In ECC vendor has Ordering Partner, using standard functionalities
2. When a user is creating a Scheduling Agreement in ECC using these
vendors, the system is proposing the list of Ordering Address to be
selected
3. We replicate the Vendor Master Data from ECC to SRM
4. In the replication the relationship between Vendor and Ordering
Address is lost, but these are creating as two separated BP
5. When the user creates a contract in SRM using one of this vendor,
there is no proposal about the Ordering Address, only way is insert
manually in the Partners TAB in Header (but no search help is provided,
all the vendor are shown).
In SRM we do not have the option of selecting the Invoicing party or
Ordering address for a Purchase Order. This works only in R/3.
So the idea of maintaning the invoicing parties relationship for a
vendor does not have a neccessity.In SRM each of these Invocing parties
are replicated as BP and you can select the respective BP in the PO
depending on your preference for the invoicing party.

We have copy from function in our material creation and BOM, Is there any way to copy the old project and we can take the same for new project as a Paste entire structure.

Output preview functionality in SRM

We receive the following popup-message while using the PO output preview functionality in SRM : "Global data missing for purchase order".
Has anybody have an idea how I can fix this issue?

How to add cut,copy,paste functionality ?

Hello everybody,
I have to add cut,copy,paste functionality to my RichTextEditor for which I have already added
buttons to editors toolbar,Now I want to add these three functionalities to my editor.

Well Thank you for your response,What I am looking for is ,the user should be able to copy,cut and paste the selected text anywhere,
(e.g.If user selects the text and clicks the COPY button on the RichTextEditor , he can copy that selected text into notepad or any other editor or any other place in the system)

Copy Planning Function in IP

Hi,
In BPS, for Copy planning function we have an option of :
1)Overwrite existing values
2)Add to Exisiting values.
I couldn't fine the same in IP. even in the to parameters section.
What is the standard behaviour of Copy planning function in IP.

The CopyValue function considers only values in the first context of the queue.
When the queue has more contexts, the other contexts are ignored.
In online help, the element addrDat is 3 times under name, that means 3 values are in the first context.
That means: For the first occurrence of the partner it is correct, for all other partners, the values of the first context is taken. The online help does not express this, so it is misleading and should be changed to an example where address is not beyond a node with occurrence inbounded.
In practical cases the copyValue can only be used for values that appear in source just one time, like the IDOC header fields, as it works like a constant.

We are on SRM 5/4.6, there is a question about the renegotiation function in SRM GOA.
Can we renegotiate the price for some parts in the GOA items with this function ( e.g. Only renegotiate one item in the contract) ?
Will the item price updated automatically after the renegotiation?

Problem in copying the function module.

Hi All,
I have to Copy the standard function modules "FI_ITEMS_DISPLAY" and "ITEM_DERIVE_FIELDS".
The Function group for both of above FM is "FI_ITEMS".
What i did is I went to SE80 ,I copied down the Function Group 'FI_ITEMS' to 'ZFI_ITEMS'.
later on i copied the standard function modules 'FI_ITEMS_DISPLAY' and 'ITEM_DERIVE_FIELDS'
to the 'ZFI_ITEMS_DISPLAY' and 'ZITEM_DERIVE_FIELDS' resp.in the same function group 'ZFI_ITEMS'.
Then i made some changes to these copied modules (I did change the structure of it_items from RFPOSXEXT to ZRFPOSXEXT in ZFI_ITEM_ITEM_DISPLAY,and same change in ZITEM_DERIVE_FIELDS but for the parameter s_item).
And finally i activated these FM..and it got activated also.
But later on when i used these FM in my report...error occured saying that -
"The name of the function module to be called is "ZITEM_DERIVE_FIELDS".
but "ZITEM_DERIVE_FIELDS" cannot be found in its function group. "
hence i thought of activating the function group ZFI_ITEMS,which was inactive before to this...but when i tried activatin this FM it was giving hell lot of errors showing conflict occured at diffrent places,I think just because of the change (structure of IT_ITEM chnged from RFPOSEXT to customised ZZRFPOSXEXT).
I am helpless in removing all this errors ...
Can anybody suggest where did i go wrong?
And what is the right way to copy the function module.?
If possible reply me ASAP.

First, delete your new function group and
Do like this:
1. copy FI_ITEMS_DISPLAY to zFI_ITEMS_DISPLAY from Se37. here you find a button on the application toolbar to do it. It also asks about the Function group. GIve the FG as
ZFI_ITEMS.
Activate all the related objects
2. same for the other FM. Use the same FG. and activate the related objects.

The mass approval functionality can be implemented for simple workflow items which have decisions to complete the work item. (User Decision Type)
In SAP Business Workflow, user can define a task as a decision task by assigning DECISION as the underlying business object type. The task definition allows user to create two or more decision options to complete the task.
The idea is to simply create a custom view/subview for the UWL item and configure it according to your needs.

Central contract functionality in SRM 7.0?

Dear Experts,
I would like to have few clarifications about central contract functionality in SRM 7.0.
As per understanding, from SRM 7.0, there is no two separate documents like local contract and GOA (global outline agreement--contract for backend ERP systems). Now, SRM have only one document -Central contract to be used in sourcing for various backend systems as well as the SRM system itself.
Now, my question is as below:
Since the central contract is released into various backend ERP systems, do the backend requisitions needed to be transferred to SRM system to use the central contract as a source of supply . or the backend requisitions can be assigned to the central contract in the ERP system systems itself (without sending it to SRM system ) and released to suppliers?
