COPY PO in SRM 7

Hi all,
We are on SRM 7.1.
In SRM 7,is it possible to copy an existing PO to a new PO and then change the vendor?
In ECC,we can copy any existing PO's but for SRM in all earlier versions this was not possible

Yes. You can copy an existing PO to a new one and change the vendor in the new PO in edit mode in SRM 7.

buttons invisible in BBP_SC_UI_CTRL but it dosent seems to work..am I hiding the wrong field name in BADI?

Hello Anubhav,
Buttons mentioned belong to SRM portal or to Catalog ?
If they make part of your catalog interface, you can not manage them in SRM.

How to enable edit mode to company code option in the copied PO in SRM 7.0?

Another strange requirement!
When we copy an old PO or when we reopen a saved PO, the Company code drop down option is freezed at the header part of the PO. How to enable this option for the user to edit the company code further?

HI Madhan,
As far as I know, the behavior you have mentioned is Standard behavior of SAP SRM. You are copying an old Purchase Order to create a new PO, the system assumes that all the important header information is same (that is the reason you are using the copy functionality) and gets copied to new PO.
When it comes to 'Saved PO' the system initially determines the company code from the organization assignment of the buyer who created the purchase order.
In such cases, I hope, the user can create multiple purchase orders with different company codes and treat them as templates.
This can be a workaround for the functionality your customer is looking for.

System copy (backend and/or SRM)

we have more than one backend connected to SRM. Sometimes our Q-system is copied (refreshed) from the productive system. If we do a alligned copy (all systems SRM and ERPs) the new Q-landscape is of course fine.
In future, we'd like to decouple the system refreshments. Meaning: only one backend will be refreshed without SRM, or only SRM will be refreshed without the backends.
Does anybody have experienc with that? What do you do to reconstruct testable data (mainly POs) in both cases?
Info: We're using the extended classic scenario.

my understanding is that you need to copy the connected system ( ECC) along with SRM. If only one system is refreshed, then the material master replication and other similar configuration whcih are based on GUIDs may not work properly. I have never tried /worked on system whcih are refreshed the way you have mentioned.

SRM Shopping Cart - how do you clear out custom fields on a SC create

We have added custom fields to the Shopping cart header. now when we use an existing shopping cart to create a new one (do a copy from within SRM UI) the data in these custom fields on the existing shopping cart is copied tothe new shopping cart. We doNOT want this to happen but we can't find a place to add code to clear them out.

we ended up putting code in this method and solved the problem IF_EX_BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI~BBP_SC_CHANGE

Tolerances not copied ECC PO

Dear Experts,
We have noticed a problem with tolerances not being replicated to ECC. Upon creation of a PO(with reference to a SHC with a contract) in SRM, the over and under delivery tolerances set in the contract are copied in the SRM PO. Once the PO is replicated in backend, these tolerances are 0% in the backend PO. How can this be corrected - to replicate the same tolerances in ERP?
We are in ECS, SRM 7.0 and ECC 6.0.

SRM and ECC (BE) tolerances must be configured separately and all limits are applied in system independently.

Business Partner in SRM Invoice

Hi,
When creating an invoice in SRM-IMS, the business partner "Requester" is not getting copied from the SRM purchase order to the invoice. This is very important for us to trigger the execption mail for missing goods receipts.
Please advise on the settings to make this happen.

SAP SRM - ERP INTEGRATION

Hello,
we are designing application architecture. Our landscape is:
- ECC 6.0
- SRM 5.0
- XI 7.0
We are thinking of using XI as middleware even for those scenario in which in not required (es. Contract Managament):
In particular every time we have a communication based on IDOC we want to use XI as communication middleware. Pure RFC integration will not use XI.
Has anyone some experience on this?

SRM refresh

Hi Gurus,
We are on SRM5.0 using classic scenario. Our test system is outdated and requires refresh (copy of production system). However, we are not aware of all the SRM spacific activities to be done by our team.

PO output not to default vendor master

Hi experts,
We run SRM5.0/Server5.5 in extended classic scenario.
We changed SC create with customer fields, where the employee can manually enter the e-mail or fax address as this information is usually not up-to-date in vendor master data.
The information is passed on to the purchase order, but when we process the output the SAP standard output programm still is going to the vendor master data and picks the e-mail or fax address there instead of using the document specific data.
Does anyone of you know how we could solve the requirement? We want to change the SAP standard programm that should pick the e-mail or fax from the PO-document and not from the vendor master.

We are also on SRM_SERVER 550, SP11, ECS Scenario.
We are having a similar requirement where we need to provide custom fields in the shopping cart for Fax number, Telephone number and Email id. These fields will need to be mapped to the standard fields in the SRM PO for output as well as for display in the PO vendor address details.
We find that inspite of mapping these fields in the BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI, method BBP_PO_CHANGE these fields are not appearing on the PO vendor address. The PO vendor address in SRM PO is defaulting from the vendor master. Also the output tab in the Header is defaulting from vendor master. This means, the changes which the requester did in the SC for fields Fax number, email id etc are not getting copied to the SRM PO for the vendor address.
We are mapping the SC fields to PO fields of TEL1_NUMBR, FAX_NUMBER and E_MAIL in structure BBP_PDS_PARTNER for the partner function 19 (vendor).
Can you please let me know if you were able to resolve your issue and what was the resolution?

we have a small requirement in SRM 7, we have added some custom fileds in source of supply for vendors to enter address for vendor and we are taking number range from 001 to 999 as one time vendor whose deatials are not maintained in vendor master.but when we create a shopping cart and po is created, it is going into error process. so can you please give us ideas about the approach and for logic so that address can be copied succesfully to srm po and then in backend system.

Yes, just overwrite the app. Apps should be in Applications.
The reason you get problems is the installers write package receipts when you install software, that log what was installed, what versions, and where for instance. When you run the updater, it looks at these receipts to work out what it needs to do - if you've moved the application post-install, the receipts can potentially confuse the updater.
In your case, 7.2.3 was installed in it's proper place (/Apps), but you were still running the old version which was in Apps/Audio.

Transport Org Structure without Org Data

Hello HR experts,
I have a simple org structure - one org unit, one postion and 4 users assigned to that position in Dev client.
How do I transport this request to Q without re-creating it?
Also, When we transport this, by default, does it carry the data (meaning do I see the same users in Q. if so, how do I avoid this).

2. Within SRM5 you can transport a structure using the report RHMOVE30. This will generate a customizing task. In the selection screen select your root node in the object field and EBP-DOWN as evaluation path.
After the transport in the target system, you need to convert the attributes in reference to a logical system with report rhom_attribute_replace and transaction BDLS.
