Copy Recurring Transection Templates

Hi Guys
Is there a way we can copy Purchasing A/P---Recurring Transection Templates from one database to another?
I checked copy express but cannot find it in there.
Any help will be appriciated.

Hi Satish,
Copy express the only tool provided by SAP to copy Configuration file from one to Database to another. in your case you need to re created your Recurring Postings to your other Database.
i have also check DTW but i dont think its possible.

Hello Impish,
if there are no blue rectangles, there are two reasons for that:
1. You have inserted a rectangular shape, not a textbox.
2. You have inserted a textbox as an inline object.
If it is the second reason - what I think it is - show the wrap inspector (the third button) while the textbox is selected and activate the second radio button at the top titled "Fixed on Page". Now you will see the blue rectangles. A double-click into it will create a new textbox with the same size of the first and containing the text that was covered by the borders of the first textbox.
You can connect/link two existing textboxes by dragging from the right bottom blue handle of one textbox to the left top blue handle of a next textbox (or vice versa).
Have in mind that every object will be inserted as an inline object when you can see the text cursor in the page, independent if the text cursor is placed inside the page text area or in a shape.
If you want to insert fix positioned objects, be sure the text cursor is not visible before insertion.

Copy a journal template ?

is there a way to copy a journal template in HFM 9.3.1 ?

If you want to move a journal template you have created for a specific scenario/year/period combination to another combination, you can go to the "Extract journals" menu then tick "Extract templates" and generate a jlf file. Once the jlf file is generated, you only need to change scenario, year and period at the beginning of the jlf file and reload it through the "Load journals" menu.

My findings based on the analysis I did. Might help people who are looking for similar info.
As Jason mentioned, the Subroutine name is CATALOG_CONTENT_VALIDATE_GET
This is under package BBP_SC --> Function Group: BBP_SC_APP
After making a webservice call to get catalog details, the mapping is done as below.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
    READ TABLE lt_enriched_item INDEX 1.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
      ls_item_validate-price      = lt_enriched_item-price.
      ls_item_validate-currency   = lt_enriched_item-currency.
      ls_item_validate-price_unit = lt_enriched_item-price_unit.
      ls_item_validate-deliv_date = lt_enriched_item-deliv_date.
      ls_item_validate-leadtime   = lt_enriched_item-leadtime.
      ls_item_validate-unit       = lt_enriched_item-unit.
    ELSE.
      lv_validate_item_exception = gc_yes.
    ENDIF.
ELSE.
    lv_validate_item_exception = gc_yes.
ENDIF.
If you go one level deeper into subroutine PERFORM sc_itm_copy_to_basket, you can see that following validations are performed.
If EITHER price, currency or price unit changes, we get the message u201C&: Price changed due to catalog validationu201D
If UOM changes, we get the message u201C&: Unit of measure changed in catalog; item not transferredu201D
When Delivery date or lead time changes, no message is raised but the new values are copied.
In a nut shell, the fields that are considered for validation are Price, Currency, Price Unit, UOM, Delivery date, Lead Time.

Filter Recurring Transaction Templates

Dear experts,
I want to filter Recurring Transaction Templates based on a dropdown field on the form. Suppose in dropdown I selected 'Monthly', then only those templates should be displayed on the form where Recurrence is monthly.
Can I do that ? Is this situation possible ?

Copy AP Configuration Templates-WCS 7.0.172.0

I am wondering if anyone has seen a way to copy an AP configuration template. We have several distribution centers and the templates are essentially identical other than the Template name and the AP Group VLAN (different for each DC). We set up a new template for each new DC. Being able to copy a template, rename it and change the Group VLAN setting would save a lot of time.

I haven't been able to make it work like it was in prior versions. I have found you can initiate the session from monitor-->access points--->ap name and selecting the radio type. 802.11b/g/n, or 802.11a/n. The icon is under cleanair management operation.

I added the field to the E-Mail Template und modify the waveset.dtd, but this is not enough.

Is it possible to copy saved XLS templates to different users?

Hello Everyone,
Simple question here, yet proving devilish in it's complexity!!
I am working with BEX and have generated several result sets saved as XLS files/templates. (The templates allow me to easily update the criteria every month). I am wondering though, if after I have created the templates, can I copy/send/etc... them to different users? I'm only looking to copy 7 templates each to 6 different users, so it's not a ton of templates, but I don't want to recreate each template for each individual log on. That would take too long and be too much of a PITA.
Any ideas or thoughts on the subject, would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Joe,
i think you can achieve this but you have to save the templates to the role and not to your favorite. the other users should have access to that role. so that they can open and use those templates.

Is there a way to create a new template based on a copy of one of the default templates? In this case I want to copy 'default: Look 4' so I can add the CSV download tag.

Copy BW Web Templates

Hi BW experts,
After processing an upgrade to BW 7.0 on our TST system, we wish to copy all the exist web templates in the system.
The copy operation purpose is to save a copy of all reports, in case the migration process (running for the reports which will be open in the new BEx tools) will fail.
Does someone can provide me the functionality which should be taken for the web templates copy operation?

P.S. - The required copy functionality should work for all the web templates in the system at once (I know the "save as..." option in the WAD, but it's a sisyphean work)

You can mass copy the template with
Program - RS_TEMPLATE_MASS_ALTER_70 nw2004s
Prgoram - RS_TEMPLATE_MASS_ALTER 3.x
Step 1: Backup
a) To do this, execute the RS_TEMPLATE_MASS_ALTER_70 report.
b) First, select the quantity of the templates to be edited in the "Input" area.
c) Leave the "Filter" area empty.
d) In the "Operation" area, select the "no operation, just up/download)" radio button.
e) In addition, select the "Save to Filesystem" area as the "Output Destination", specify a path under which you want the sources to be saved. Note that the path must end with a path separator (on Windows: this is '\')!
f) Execute the report, confirm the selection and the subsequent list with "Execute operation on selection" in each case.
g) The sources of the selected templates or Reusable Web items are written to the file system. This can be your backup.
Step 2: Manipulation and download
a) Then, execute the report again.
b) In the input template, select the same objects as for the download.
c) The filter area remains empty.
d) In the "Operation" area, select the "XSLT transformation" radio button, specify the name of the XSLT transformation in the first field, and enter any possible parameters (usually none).
e) In the "Output Destination" area, enter "Save to Filesystem" and a path name (that also must end with '\'). The path name must be different from the one specified before, otherwise your backup will be overwritten.
f) Execute the report and confirm the warnings in each case.
Step 3: Check the result
a) Now check the sources of the downloaded and manipulated templates and reusable Web items in the file system.
b) Compare with the backup-sources in the other directory

Program RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN can be used for single template copy.
As a part of sanity check you might want to try it out in SBOX or Dev for ramifications if any ..

This workes for me:
In BW, run transaction:
SE38
COpy program 'RS_TEMPLATE_MAINTAIN'.
Execute the program.
In the next screen, you will see two drop-down boxes.
1) Technical Name of a Template
Here, select 0ADHOC
Again Execute
In the new screen, select the third Icon - Copy As.
Give New Name. Make sure its not there before, so gicve something like Z0ADHOC1, etc.
You are done.
Open WAS and select Open Web Template.
THere, you will either see the new one in History or do a seach with the name that you just gave.

Terminal - copy a few template folders to a long list of folders

doing a family tree project
want to copy the same basic folders (birth, death, marriages, children, etc) to each family member folder. Want to use Terminal - or Applescript, or whatever....
the ditto command seems to lack any recursive destination function, although it can recursively source just fine.
the cp command, born long ago of another Unix world, and still somewhat available on the Mac, doesnt handle a list of folders inside another folder (recursively copying each to each destination folder)....
The recursive folders part is holding me up. I can do this manually using the option drag copy but who wants to do things the hard way ?

Also, I am having problems creating a drop down menu for each of my web pages. When I go to highlight a specific box on my homepage I want the dropdown menu to appear vertically and not horizontally. This is difficult to understand. How are you copying templates from another site?
If you have all the files that make up the template, then it's only a matter of saving all the files to a folder on your hard drive and setting up a site definition pointing to this folder. You then work on the files as usual.

Without seeing the page it's difficult to judge what your problem is. If possible, please upload the files to a remote server and provide a link to the page. It's the only way people can help - if they see your page in action.
