Copy saved reports when copying a page

Hi
We're using the saved public reports extensively to offer users an array of display options.
Is it possible to copy the saved reports together with the rest of the page when copying the whole page?
It's quite frustrating to lose all the saved reports - especially when copying pages between applications.

It would be REALLY helpful if this could apply to copying a page between applications.
Let me explain why this is so.....
The particular set of applications I'm developing now, is used to display information in many ways to a varied audience.
This requires the definition of 10 or more saved public reports each on several pages.
Because of the size of the application, and the need to "modularise" development, we develop the different sections in their own application, and control the source, recovery from developer error etc. at the application level.
Once a module has been tested, we copy the new pages into the final test application (not many pages but each with a lot of functionality because of the saved reports) for final release.
It is at this stage that we have the problem.

Urgent - Default path of saving reports when destype = file

Hi,
When I specify the destype = file, the generated report gets
saved in the daefult directory, i.e., the orant/bin.
Now, I want to save the file on a different machine.
I understand that I can do it by specifying the desname =
path/filename.
But I cannot do this, because I don't want to show the whole
path in the URL. Moreover, I cannot give it in teh cgicmd.dat,
because the filename is not static. I want to append a time
stamp etc. to the file name. Is there some way that I can
specify teh path in cgicmd.dat and the file name in the URL?
Or,
is there an environment variable or something where I can
specify the default path where the files should be generated?
Any help would be much appreciated.

I tried the following:
I did not specify the desname parameter in the cgicmd.dat file
and in the After Parameter Form trigger, I have done:
Begin
:desname := 'e:\Testing.html';
I gave a desname that is not dynamic, just to test. But this,
does not set the desname. The file is still saved in teh
Orant/Bin folder. (default folder).
If I specify some desname in the cgicmd.dat file, then the file
gets saved in that path. What I have specified in the After
Parameter Form trigger does not seem to reset it.
Note: The trigger is being fired, as other things that I am
doing in the same trigger are getting executed.
Please advise.

Thanks for the various contributions that are helping my experience with oracle.These are my two current problems:
1. Assuming I have built a page of payroll for 40 workers that repeats monthly. Is there a way of copying the previous page for last month into this month? Or, do I have to build a new page on the same table and update it?
2. Please, what procedure should I follow to print a form or a report from the application page?

When navigating back to a page with an IR, a different Saved Report shown

I have a page with an interactive report. I have several saved reports. One column has a link to another page in the application with address details. When I follow the link I correctly see the page. I click the "Back" button on the browser to get back to the interactive report. At this time, the saved report that is selected may not be the same as the one that was selected before I clicked the link.
How can I tell the currently displayed report id so that I can use that to populate an Item to be linked used as the Report ID Item?

the folks at Spashtop sent me a note indicating that its possible to get it to work remotely but they werent particularly clear as to how - especially with an aitport express

Reverse printing order when copying multiple pages?

My boss often wants to copy multi-page documents using the ADF and copy mode. Since the feeder takes the pages from the top, the copies end up in reverse order. Is there any setting that would make the copies come out in the same order as the original? ( I know you could scan them all and then print, but he doesn't want to do that.)

With IOS Pages v2.0 and v2.1, Apple introduced a new document format that is incompatible with prior Pages versions on IOS or OS X Pages ’09. Opening older documents with these recent versions of Pages will permanently prevent the document from opening in earlier versions of Pages on IOS or OS X.

There is no undo of an iTunes application update, short of forcing iTunes to restore IOS v6 back on that iPad 2. Even if you did that, you won't find the IOS Pages v1.7.2 in the iTunes store now.
IOS Pages v2+ will allow you to export content in Word .docx format. You do this by first tapping the box with an up-arrow in it (next to the left-most +). A menu will slide up — choose Send a Copy. Select a document icon. Pick Mail, and then Word. Your Pages v2.1 document will now be converted to Word .docx, and attached to an email body. Fill in the to address and send.

How to copy a page to another document?

In earlier versions of Acrobat Professional I could copy pages from one PDF to another simply by dragging over the thumbnail of the page to the other document's thumbnails.... Couldn't have been easier! I'm now using Acrobat 8 Professional and the thumbnails have been eliminated. An awkward floating panel called "Pages" performs some of the same functions, but it won't let me drag a thumbnail from the "Pages" panel to another document and Acrobat won't let me view two documents "Pages" windows at the same time.
The "Help" function is rather helpless in solving this problem and I have studied the menus hoping to see a magic "copy page" command somewhere, but no.
Adobe, if you are listening, why on earth wouild you change such a simple and wonderful function? And if you somehow made copying pages from one document to another easier, at least make it obvious as to how I would go about doing this!
Any help would be appreciated!

I've discovered that when "Pages" is a free floating window there is no way to copy a page from one document to another using drag and drop. The solution is to select "Show Navigation Pane" and dock the "Pages" window in the pane. Only then did it let me see the pages from two documents at once and allow me to drag and drop pages from one document to another.

How to copy page definition from MDS of one instance to other?
In Detail
I am moving my OAF application from one APPS instance(say A) to other(say B).
In instance 'A' I have uploaded the OA pages using import command.
But I can do the same in instance 'B'
A third party vendor needs to copy the page definition from MDS in instance A to instance B.
How can it be done?

If a third party is involved, then I will suggest to use the Functional Administrator resposnsibility to export and import the personaizations through a nice GUI. It gives you the option to search for personalization by applications and document path. Exported docs get saved to a directory as specified throught the profile option "FND: Personalization Document Root Path". Same can be used to import to the next instance.

How can I copy a page in PageGroup1 to PageGroup2?
I want to use the copy feature as a simple configuration management process. Pages are developed in PageGroup1. When a page is ready for test, it is copied to PageGroup2. When the page is ready for production, it is copied to PageGroup3. My pages have portlet regions, not item types, so WEB/ORADAV does not appear to be a solution. Is there any programmatic solution? Supported solution? Unsupported solution? Patch? Help?

I know we used WebDAV to copy pages from one page group to another complete with their portlets, but most of our content was in items. The portlets on the page were all simple such as page portlets, HTML, etc. If you have or can easily get WebDAV enabled, it might be worth a shot. Copying a page and sending it in an email

I am trying to copy a whole page and then send it in an email. When I do this the pictures are just a bunch of letters. I tryed to download and save and it does the same thing. I think I need to save as RTF but I dont know how to do so..

To copy a page from Safari and send it from OS X 10.4.2 I just hit "Command-I" and the page comes up in Mail ready to address and send.

Location of reserve copy of Pages

I was wondering or it is posible to save all the reserve copy which Pages can create automatically, save in just one location. In that way the folders stay organized.

When you create a new document, Pages offers you a dialog in which you may set the destination folder.
When one folder is selected, it will not change as long as you don't change it by yourself.

How do you copy a page from preview to duplicate it?

I want to copy a page from preview so that I have 2 pages that are the same. Before I upgraded to Maverik, I used to be able to right click on the page (in the sidebar) I wanted, click "copy" then right click in the sidebar and click "paste".
Now when I right click on the page in the sidebar I don't get the option to copy and paste.
I found that if I opened a new copy of the same document, I could import it into my working draft then delete all of the pages I didn't want, but that is way too much work. If someone could help I would be very grateful.

Not exactly what you want, but Preview/Edit/Insert/then select the file. Preview/Edit/Delete pages you don't want. That is the only way I could figure out how to do it from within Preview.

Error Msg | "Could not copy the page to your computer"

Hello everyone,
I keep encountering the following error in this directory
when I try to edit one of its .html files via Contribute:
"Could not copy the page to your computer"
I tried creating a new directory on the server and placed the
old files inside, but I didn't have any luck with editing those
files.
I also attempted to create a new page in that very same
directory (using new files) using a template - which worked, but
after I published and tried to edit it again, I get the same error.
Please advise.

No ideas at all? This issue hurts our ability to continuing
pushing for Contribute to be installed on our diverse Web
domain.
