Copy SQVI report from PRD

Hi,
A report was created using SQVI in PRD and I like to know if there is a way to transport it to our DEV or QAS system?
I know this should not happened in the first place hence just want to find out if there is a way to copy the SQVI report from
PRD to QAS or is my only option is to recreate the report in DEV and then do the transport again to PRD?
Thanks!

You may have transport request if not then need to create a transport: Se01 --> create transport --> Select transport of copies --> Give description.
select new transport --> Click on include objects --> object list from transport request.
Now double click on the transport --> go to properties tab --> assign correct Target System.

  • Copying a report from one environment to another

    Hi,
I need to copy a report from QA to PROD. I saved the report in local drive from Desktop, connected to PROD and then tried to open the it in PROD. But I am getting an error message from "Visual C++" saying "Abnormal Program Termination".
    I am using Discoverer 10g Rel 1.
Have anyone experienced this error ?
    Please help.
    Yogini

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I found that the business area was missing a join as compared to the QA business area. After adding the join, it is not giving me any errors, but returns no data.
The query returns data in Toad. -- So I have access to the database views
I am not getting any errors in Discoverer -- so I have access to the folders too.
I confirmed that the folder is shared with the proper responsibility.
Still I dont see any data.
    Any idea/suggestions are appreciated.

  • How to copy specific reports from one environment to another?

I need to release a few answers, prompts and dashboards from one test environment to a production environment. I do want to move just specific things, not the whole RPD and catalog as I do have a lot of reports in testing.
How that can be easily done?

    Hi,
    I am doing as follows.
for Answers: Assume you are copying from Dev to Prod.
    1)open the two environments.
    2) in the target environment take any answer and save it as sample1.
3)From Dev environment open the answer which you want to copy to target environment.
go to Advanced tab---> copy the xml from the window of Request XML
    4) open the sample 1 report in target environment and go to Advanced tab.
Paste the copied xml in to Request xml window--->> click on set xml
    5) save it.
you should be able to see the report in new environment.
    I hope this helps.
for Dashboard i am using catalog manager as others explained.
    Thanks,

  • SQVI Report Issue

    Dear All,
I have created the report in DEV server with SQVI transaction code and assigned the t.code(ZVL06) for the same.
I have transported the request w.r.t t.code to PRD Server.
I am getting an error that the program not found/does not exist.
Then i found that the program does not moved PRD.
then i created the same report in PRD with SQVI.
Here the issue is that other users cannot able to execute the report.
After searching in SDN i came to know that SQVI reports are user specific.
    1) How the other users can execute the report?( No authorization for SQVI T.Code)
    2) How to move the SQVI report to PRD?
    With Regards

how to copy a report into my namespace as said in this blog....
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/09/xi-restarting-successfully-processed-messages

how to copy it my namespace
I didn't get what exactly you mean?
If you run any interface you will find its details in SXMB_MONI.
This report will pickup the data from Moni and resend the message. So its not Interface specific.
You copy the report from SE38 and try.

  • Archives from PRD to DR

    Hi All,
    Our SAP System:
    ECC 6.0
    Windows 2003
    Oracle DB 10.2.0.4
We started our DR 1 month before and started patching it. as DR is UP and all Patches are successfully applied. We want to shift our users from PRD to DR and want to patch the PRD.
How can I apply archives from PRD to DR as our DR has one month old Productiion data. After then we will be able to shift users to DR. And when patching is done on PRD, we will shift them back to PRD and continue the DR as it is.
Please help how can i complete the task above.
    Regards,
    Diya.

    Hi Diya,
As Sunny and Orkun mentioned, the archivelogs cannot be applied in DR/standby once the DB is opened. In your case you have already opened the DB in DR and hence you will not be able to apply the archivelogs now.
FYI: No need to apply the patches (SAP support packages) seperately in DR. Instead you can apply the patches in PRD and DR will be updated with patches/changes while you recover the archive logs.
You can follow the below mentioned steps to create a standby DR.
    1. Backup the PRD DB (offline backup)
    2. Stop the application and DB in the DR site
    3. Restore the backup in DR using BRRESTORE
    4. Create a standby controlfile in PRD and copy the same to the controlfile locations in DR
    5. Start the DB at the DR site in the standby mode
    6. Copy the archive logs (you can either do this manually or automate the same usnig oracle dataguard)
    7. Apply/recover the archive logs in the DR (ongoing process).
    (or)
    1. Copy the datafiles from PRD
    2. Create a standby controlfile in PRD and copy the same to the controlfile locations in DR
    3. Start the DB at the DR site in the standby mode
    4. Copy the archive logs (you can either do this manually or automate the same usnig oracle dataguard)
    5. Apply/recover the archive logs in the DR (ongoing process).
    Hope this helps/clarifies.

  • Copy data models and reports from BW 3.1 to NW 2004s

    Hi experts,
Our client has two BW servers: BW 3.1 and BI 7. BW 3.1 contains lots of data models and reports. And the BI 7 server is newly installed.
Now we want to copy these data models and reports from BW 3.1 to the new BI 7 server. Are there any solutions for this?
Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Frank,
Sounds like a cross version transport is needed.
This is a solution we have used to do what you want to do:-
Create and release a transport as per normal.
Copy and transport the files from the source system (BW 3.1) e.g /usr/sap/trans/data & /usr/sap/trans/cofiles to the same folders on the target system.
    Basis help is needed here.
From here onwards using stms_import should help you in the normal manner.
    Works a treat.
Have transported the following all correctly appearing as 3.x data models in NW2004s.
    DSO objects.
    Cubes
    Transfer/Update rules
    Reports.
    Cheers,
    Pom

  • How to copy line items from one expense report to the next

I travel to the same project/destination every week so in PR05, I was able to just copy the previous expense report for the new week and edit the expense values. Now, when I book travel, the air line booking starts a new expense report entry.
Is there a way to copy the employee-paid expenses to the GetThere-generated trip entry expense report, i.e. just copy the line items from one expense report to another that already exists. I guess that would be a merge function.

    Hi Tom,
    Here are two alternative solutions:
    Alternative 1:
If you copy the expense report before you book the services (flight, hotel …)
in GetThere, then the airline or hotel bookings will not start a new expense
report but will be assigned to the copied expense report.
    Alternative 2:
This alternative is a bit laborious.
Shift the start date and end date of the expense
report  that was automatically created by
your flight booking for next week (e.g. Calendar Week (CW)  47) to the week after next week (e.g. CW 48).
Copy the expense report of the previous week (e.g.
    46)
Afterwards open the expense report that you
moved to CW 48 and click on the tab strip itinerary
Now assign the bookings (flight, hotel …) to the
expense report of CW 47 by clicking on the button assign to existing trip
Later delete the expense report in CW 48
Get back to me if you have any questions concerning the alternatives outlined
    above.
    Note:
These solution alternatives are only available for customes using HTML5 UIs.

    Hi Branko,
After the system copy, go to transaction SALE -> Sending and receiving Systems -> Logical systems -> Define Logical System , click New Entries and create a new logical system for your QAS; then go to SALE -> Sending and receiving Systems -> Logical systems -> Assign Client to Logical System, click on the client, click change and assign the new Logical system.

  • Copy reports from one business objects server to another

How do I copy all the reports published in my production BO server to my test server. I did this once but can not remember. Is it the import wizzard?

yes you can use the import wizard to export your reports from one server to another server
just open the import wizard, connect to your source server, choose object types you want to export (folders, reports, users,,,,etc),,, then choose the objects itself, then connect to the destination server, and the import wizard will guide you through this process.
    good luck

    Hi,
All pre-requisite is there in system copy guide.Apart from that take user master backup of quality system and after system copy, import the user master data back so that you have same users in quality system.

  • Copy queries and reports from production to qa

    Hi,
One of our customers has up to now created their BEx queries and reports directly in production
But from now on they are going to create them in dev and then transport to qa and prod.
Is there any way to transport the already existing queries/reports from prod to qa?
    BR,
    Linda

    Hello,
You have to set up the transport ( Your BASIS can prepare transport landscape )  to bring the query transported from Prod to test environment
But you can copy Workbooks from Production to develpment.Open the workbook from Production ,disconnect from server, then save as new workbook or existing workbook..now log into Dev system and save workbook under required role.
