Copy testcases in eManager Enterprise v. 8.20.0555

I have to copy testcases for different test partners.
e.g. 50 Testcases
Testpartner 1 needs 10 of them
Testpartner 2 needs all of them
Testpartner 20 needs 17 of them
My intention was to import the 50 testcases and then to copy them with a separate field " Partner". But: the possibility to copy all the 50 cases (or less) seems not possible.
My function is Testmanager business - so I don´t have SQL-Access or -knowledge....

The only way to copy multiple tests at one time is to put them underneath a test of type "Test Folder"
One way to do it would be to create a temporary Test Folder and put all 50 test cases underneath it
Copy the test folder and paste it. Assign all of those newly copied tests to correct test partner.
Do the same for the other test partners - creating temporary test folders, copying the test folder and assign the newly copied tests to the proper person.

Do you have more than one enterprise fields showing your CAD layout?
Do you wish to copy all of the them or just one of them?
Do you wish to copy the name as well as the value?
At any rate, a macro is not needed to copy the enterprise data.  You simply double click it and press CTRL+C.
See this video here, which shows me doing just that:

A macro might just complicate the matter, and force the Agent into a single option.  But let's get your answers to the above first, before we make any final decisions on the matter.

  • Copy and paste on Enterprise Manager running on Xwindows

    Dear All
It might be a simpe question if known the answer.
Is it possible to do the "copy" and "paste" of
selected text on Enterprise Manager running on Xwindows? For example, Is it possible to copy a view or procedure code shown on Enterprise Manager and paste it onto another window? I used to run OEM on PCs and could do so
by using Ctrl+C and Ctrl+v; but couldn't do the same on OEM running on Solaris using xterm: Hummingbird (Vista eXceed).

    Hi princess,
Check the Edit menu, where you'll find Cut, Copy and Paste, as well as variations of Paste in some applications. Where there is a keystroke combination to do the same thing, you will find it listed in the menu beside the menu command, Here's my Edit menu in Pages:
Yours will be missing the starred key stroke set by Paste and Match Style. This is a custom one, taking advantage of OS X permitting the creating of keystroke combinations for top level menu items without one assigned.
One handy set to memorize is the Z X C V series. With the command key, these are Oops!, Cut, Copy and Paste.
If you've used keyboard shortcuts in Windows, you will find that many of the Mac ones are the same, but use the command key where MS uses the control (ctrl) key.

PS: A minor rewording on Niels instructions for using the modifier keys. When I gave instructions essentially the same as his to my grade four and five students, I found many of them stabbed at the two (or more) keys, trying to press both at exactly the same time, an almost impossible task. When I revised the instructions to those below, most of the errors disappeared.
command-C: This means 'press and hold the command key, tap and release the C key, then release the command key.
shift-command-A: Press and hold the shift and command keys, tap and release the A key, then release the two modifier keys.
In general: Press the modifier keys (shift, command, option, control—whichever is called for—in any order, holding it/them down, then press/tap the action key (usually a letter), then release the action key, then release the modifier keys.

  • Evaluation Copy of Business Object Enterprise XI R2 can be used in the prod

    Hi,
I have installed the evaluation copy of Business Object XI R2 in my test environment.
Can i use the same instance for my production environment?
What need to be done for using the eval copy in the production environment.
    Thanks & Regards
    Anil

    Hi
tecnically it is possible to use an evaluation key on an BOBJ system independent from the purpose you are using the system for. Still evaluation keys expired and are there in order to check the functionality of the BOBJ software. I would recommend to discuss this with your local SAP representative.

  • Need to copy reports from Crystal Enterprise 9 to Crystal Enterprise 11

Please let me know to use the same crystal report 9 repository database for reports in crystal report XI version? We are having more than 700 reports in CE 9.
As per my understanding, CE 9 stores the reports in APS_InfoObjects2 table and CE11 stores the reports in CMS_InfoObjects5 table. (The structures and the data storage machanism of these tables are not same).
Also let me know - How can we have the both Crytsal Report 9 and Crystal Report 11 (Release 2) designer tool on the same system?
I was having Crystal Report 9 designer tool and after installing the Crystal Report 11 Release 2 designer tool, Crystal Report 9 has been replaced by Crystal Report 11. If I am installing the Crystal Report 9 then it display the error message like "Install cannot proceed because Crystal Report 9 9.2.25705 has been detected."
Please help on these two issues !!

    Hi
You can use Import Wizard  for migration of your reports.
Please refer to Import Wizard Guide. You can download it from [here|http://help.sap.com/].
For your second issue:  You  can use CR9 and CRXI both on the same machine however for this you need to first install CR9 and then do a separate installation of CR XI preferably on a different drive.
    Also for the error message
    - Did you do a fresh installation of CE XI or it was a upgrade installation?
-For both the cases, open registry editor and delete the registry keys of CR9. Don't forget to take a back up of the registries before making any changes.
    Hope this helps!!!

  • System copy method for BusinessObjects BI Enterprise XI 3.0 (Windows)

    Hi,
We intend to replicate the same existing BOBJ system for use with another project's development.
Does anyone know what is the easiest method of system copy for BusinessObjects BI Enterprise XI 3.0 (Windows)?
Will a blank copy through Window's backup/restore work?
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    the easiest way would be:
    - extracting all content from the existing 3.0 to a biar file
    - install the new server os
    - install all BO componentes on the new server
    - import the biar file
You cant make something like an image from the existing server and then put it back on a new one. You have to rename the Server and than you will get problems with your BO installation. You can avoid this by re- deploying the WAR Files and updating the Repository Objects in the CMS.
But the above mentiones solution will be faster.

    -Seb.

  • Install a second copy of ORACLE enterprise 9i DB on same HPUX Server

The vendor of third party software we are using has requested we install a second copy of the Oracle enterprise software for installing and testing Oracle patch upgrades.
We are currently running Oracle Enterprise 9.2.0.1. The vendor wants us to upgrade to patch set 9.2.0.5. They do not want us to touch the current environment. So their solution is to install a second copy of 9.2.0.1 and upgrade that to 9.2.0.5. Then migrate each instance of the database to the new environment.
Is that possible? Are there not files that are created at install time that are in common directories like /etc and /usr/local/bin?
It was also mentioned these location could not be changed when running ORACLE Installer.
Secondly another source said the patch set could be applied the current environment without affecting the current instances of the databases. Simply run the migrate utility against each database as we want to bring them into the new environment.
Any thoughts or documentation on this?

From your response I understand that common files like oraenv, tnsnames.ora, sqlnet.ora listener.ora and the ORACLE installer inventory file will not overwrite the previous installs file if I have a created and installed in a second oracle_home.
The plan would be to install the second copy of Oracle software and immediately install the patch set. I will not have any database instances associated with the new oracle_home. Next I would migrate each of the existing database instances from the original oracle_home through the migrate process. If I do it this way I will not need to shutdown the existing instances of Oracle during the install and patch upgrade. Is that correct?
Just to clarify another point. If the patch was installed on the first instance would the existing database instances be affected in some way before running the startup migrate catpatch etc? In other words could I still safely access the databases before doing the upgrade to the instances. Our vendor said that was possible but does not seem to be a good idea to me.

  • Windows 7 Enterprise - disk not bootable?

I've just recently installed Snow Leopard, and now I'd like to install Windows 7 with Bootcamp. My copy is Windows 7 Enterprise, however the bootcamp installer does not recognize it as a bootable disk. I know this is false, however, because I have used the same CD to install Windows 7 on three other machines, all non-mac.
My problem did not arise with the installation of Snow Leopard - I had tried to install it in the past with Leopard, but ran into the same problem (Installing Vista Enterprise instead). This seems to be a tell-tale sign to me that it is not the program (Bootcamp), but actually the CD... A confusing predicament, since, as I have said, it has worked previously in non-mac machines.
So, my question is this: How do I install my copy of Windows 7?

"Boot Camp" is not really an installer, other than re-partition, and makes it possible when using GPT initialized disks to boot off MBR.
When you get to Windows install you have to delete the FAT32 parition and create NTFS, so it doesn't even create a fully valid partition for you.
Most of the time, this kind of problem can be from -
    burning an ISO
    optical DVD drive
    DVD media itself
I am sure that there a few others with similar iMacs that had trouble, so you aren't entirely alone, but not everyone either
Late 2009 and you just recently installed 10.6, while I thought Snow Leopard came out last August.
See how it works with VirtualBox or Fusion??

  • Activate Windows 8 Enterprise over the phone (The option to choose what country you are calling from is greyed out)

I am trying to activate Windows 8 Enterprise.  However, the workstation I'm running it on is not able to connect to the Internet.  So, I select "Activate over the phone".  However, the "Click nearest location" is greyed out.
The default is set to Afghanistan, which unhelpfully lists a toll number to call in Afghanistan...which would work if I lived in Afghanistan, but I don't.  Other than pluggint the system into the Internet is there a way to activate my copy of Windows
8 Enterprise over the phone?  I need a toll free US number.

I appreciated the tip.  However, it is not the answer to my post.  I only need a toll free US phone number to complete over the phone activation.  Like I said in my original post, the drop-down selection box is greyed out and only shows a
    number for users in Afghanistan.
If phone activation for the evaluation version of Windows 8 Enterprise is unavailable, then THAT should be the answer.

  • Install error on enterprise manager, why???

    Hello guys,
I have been trying to install Oracle enterprise edition on a 32 bit version windows. Every time install reaches enterprise manager that, I guess, uses oc4j it gives me
some sort of I/O error when trying to create or read some file in this location.
    When installation reaches here:
Copying file for 'Oracle Enterprise Manager Console DB 10.2.0.1.0'
Then the error pops up with these wordings:
    I/O error in file C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1\oc4j\j2ee\oc4j_applications\applications\em.ear
    Click 'Help' for more information
    Click 'Retry' to try again.
Click 'Ignore' to ignore this error and go on.
Click 'Cancel' to stop this installation.
I am using Windows XP Professional SP2 with 512MB RAM.
Does anyone has any idea what this error means? I have even reformatted my machine twice to make sure there are no coflicts. I downloaded Oracle Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows two times to make sure there are no errors in the downloaded file. If some could tell me what I am missing, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I just want to share my experience. I have installed the same oracle version on windows XP.
    SQL> SELECT * FROM V$VERSION;
    BANNER
Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Prod
    PL/SQL Release 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    CORE 10.2.0.1.0 Production
TNS for 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 10.2.0.1.0 - Production
    SQL>
When I tried to download the oracle executable, It got downloaded but not completely. It's size was around 150 MB something. Then I asked my friend to download from another location, he got success.
May be at the site itself em.ear file has an error (Not sure). Did you copy the software in hard disk or installing it from the CDROM ? If not try copying the software into Hard drive and install. Let me know the details further.

  • Switching between external windows???

    hi,
is there any method by which we can switch between the external windows????
let me just explain the scenario.
in my application i need to make changes in admin window(say window-1). this will change some changes in the secondary- child window (say window-2). while automating, i have to make some changes in the window-1, switch my current window to window-2, then run some testcases.
    Please Help!!!

cant you split it up into two different scripts?
script1 - does tha admin stuff...
script 2 - doest the other stuff
then you can either put these scripts together in an eTester Group (in eManager Enterprise) or as a job in eTester...

  • Oracle 10g RAC

    Hi All,
I am a research student currently struggling to install Oracle 10g RAC on Windows OS.What i understand about a Oracle RAC database system is that it involves a configuration of multiple hosts or servers joined together with a clustering software and accessing the shared disk structures. What i also understand is that i need a CRS provided by Oracle for a Windows or Linux based RAC installation.
What i don't understand is for a Two node RAC system do i need a Third machine which has the shared storage device. If yes do i have to install a copy of Oracle 10g Enterprise Edition and CRS on the shared storage device moreover do i need to install a copy of Oracle 10g Enterprise edition on each of the nodes or just the clusterware is enough.

    Hi Salil
No, you do not need a third machine. You can even setup RAC as a single node on one machine! What you do need is to have some sort of cluster aware file system. Try looking at OCFS on Windows in your case.
If you are interested in a Linux example please have a look at the examples at http://ocpdba.net/oracle9i_rac/cheaprac.html and http://ocpdba.net/oracle10g_rac for an OCFS implementation I am working on.

  • How do I add the scripts to be executed in a perticulat order?

    Hi all,
I my application I have to scripts in order:
Script 1 is started. When it ends, it calls a script, the script name is picked from the Databank file and that is executed.
    Please help me doing this?

yes, you should either use the job scheduler inside eTester, or probably better, depending on what you are doing use emanager Enterprise (this is a test management tool, that allows you to do more granualar scheduling, kick-off 3:rd party tools, extensive reporting, issue tracking, requirement managment as well as managment of manual and automated test cases)
