Dear all,
I am stuck in a situation where in i need to copy the Balances of the Existing Empl Vendor to the New Emp Vendor.
What i am looking for :
Existing Emp No :- E0123
Existing op Balance :- 125.00 rs
I want to Transfer the Existing Emp Vendor to New Emp Vendor
like New Emp Vendor : 4xxxx123
Existing op Balance :- 125.00 rs
How to achieve this ??
Please help.

P.O Error in Process after copying the existing item in change mode

We are in SRM 5.0 Server 550 and SP15 and are using Extended Classic Scenario.
We are facing a peculiar issue, when an already created P.O (Free text - goods) is changed and a new line item is added either manually or by copying the existing line item and then ordering it, the P.O is going into Error in Process status.
This is happening only when i am adding a new item (material) to the existing line item (material) but when i am adding a service line item in the change mode to the existing material line item, the P.O is getting ordered without any issue.
I believe this is SAP bug and raised with SAP for OSS.
Meanwhile i would be grateful if you can provide any resolution to this issue and provide any OSS note number (If one already exists).

Can I copy an existing LR catalog to a new disc?

I have installed a new primary disc (C: in Windows 7 Pro) and re-downloaded LR4.2 release candidate. Can I simply copy the existing LR catalog (which I have on old disk, still accessible via USB, or from several backup copies) to the new disc and LR will work as it did previously. The drive letters of the locations of the actual image files (on other internal drives) have now changed so how do I tell LR to now use the new drive letter locations. Thanks for help.

Yes, you can do a copy and the catalog should work.
If the drive letters have changed where your photos are stored, the easiest way to get everything to work is to go into Windows and change the drive letters to what they used to be, so that your photos are now on the same drive as before. Alternatively, you can reconnect the folders (right-click on the top level folder and select "Find Missing Folder")

My Fantom backup drive is failing. I want to copy the time machine contents to a new backup drive and continue on as if nothing has happened. Can I do this and if so how? I have intel iMac running Mountain Lion. Fantom Drive via Firewire 800.

My Fantom backup drive is failing and I have to send it in for warranty repair. Before I do that I want to copy the time machine contents to a new drive and then use it for the backup, continuing on as if nothing had gone wrong with the first drive. Can I do this? Is it as simple as duplicating the first drive and replacing it with the second? New drive arrives Tuesday PM and both drives have dual firewire 800 ports.

I have used the Disk Utility to verify the contents of the backup drive so I don't think I have any corrupt files. The drive just takes a minute or so to spin up to speed. If I turn it off and then back on, it beeps at me for a few seconds and then starts it's slow process of trying to spin. I think it's a power problem not a data problem. I have my fingers crossed that it holds on until Tuesday PM when the new drive arrives. I'm thinking that my two options are to duplicate the bad drive or partition the new drive and put the old backups on one partition and start afresh on the second partition. Any input?

Creating new Domain by Copying the existing domain

Hi,
Is there any way to create a new domain by copying the already existing domain directory and pasting it to another directory in same machine or different machine.
Can anyone suggest me the configuration file that needs to be updated for new domain name.

When you mention "Before posting on forum I have tried this option. I tried again but no luck." do you mean you tried pack/unpack or template approach and this did not work. Or did you just copied domain folder and renamed and start the new domain and you got errors. Copying domain may not work 100% (not in the long run). But pack/unpack or template approach should work pretty much without any errors.
As mentioned, I would recommend template approach or pack/unpack. You can provide the internal details and risk factors involved with hard disk copy of domain folder and renaming approach to the client. If domain copy approach works, then bea/oracle would not have come up with approaches like pack/unpack or template approach at all in the very first place. Copying domain folder and renaming may still work, unless you do all regression testing that includes cluster scenario also and all usecases.
I would still recommend for pack/unpack or template approach to copy any existing domains.
Just incase if your domain is like Portal Domain and if you deploy portal applications on this domain, then copying domain will just not work. Every domain is very tightly coupled with ldap files and db tables for any Security Visitor Entitlements and Delegated Admin roles. If its pure weblogic server application, these things will not come into picture. But for Portal, we do have something called Propagation Tool to migrate portal app from one domain to other domain. But still the domain cannot be copied and renamed.

Duplicating the existing sourcesystem assignments to a new source-system

Hi all
We have another new sourcesystem (logical system) in our BI system.
This is a copy of the productive erp-sytsem, upgraded to EHP4.
Now we want to test the connectivities and data load procedures.
Is there a possibility to "copy" all the existing datasources/transformations of an existing system
to this new system without using transports?
We already tried using report 'RBDLSMAP' but it seems to overwrite the existing assignments.
Any idea??

You have to use a transport , to transport the source system dependent objects normally the following procedure is used:
RSA1
Transport Connection
Button 'Collection mode' set to 'start manual collection'
Press 'Source system assignment' button (it's the one left of the
'Request BEx' button)
Select the source systems you want to save the transfer rules for
Continue
Button 'Grouping' set to 'Save for system copy'
At the left border click on 'Object Types'
Extend tree 'Source system' LSYS
Double click on 'Select objects'
Select the source systems you want to collect objects for
the source system is now displayed in the right box
Press collecting button ('gather dependent objects')
this may take a while
Right click on the root of the tree and select
Transport all below
Expand the whole tree and check if there isn't an object which is locked
by an other open transport request !!
(the column 'Transport request' has to be empty (BEFORE deleting the corresponding source system
connection!)

Modifying the existing search base to a new one

My CoreId is having search base set to "dc=abc, dc=com". For some better architecture reasoning, now I wanted to change the search base to a new Ldap node called "Users,dc=abc,dc=com". I will move all our users and groups from earlier node "dc=abc, dc=com" to the new one "Users,dc=abc,dc=com". So all my users and groups will have different entryDN after the move, but they will carry the same user-id/ group-id.
Here are few questions related to this.
(1) All workflows refer to many users and groups. By changing the search-base will it refer to the new location automatically –OR- I have to manually change all the work flow by reselecting the users and groups.
(2) Do I have to redefine all our static groups again since all users have different entryDN now?
(3) Do I have to do any modifications to all the existing authentication schemes etc.
(4) Any other modification/ tasks ??

-c <configDN> : I am assuming this is Oblix configuration dn value (o=Oblix,dc=abc,dc=com) provided during CoreId set up
-o <oblixnode> : ???
-i <installdir> : Is this the CoreId installation Directory ??
-n <native_dn> : ???
-l <logical_dn> :???
Just a note :- I wanted to change only the use DNs (example "cn=kabi,dc=abc,dc=com" to "cn=kabi,o=employee,dc=abc,dc=com"). Oblix configuration remain at old node. Not sure if I should run this tool.

Copy the existing output rom Z program into a spool file

There's a Zprogram if its run in foreground a list gets created .(as per req, i want this list in a spool file and not the below spool file)
If this program is run in background a spool file gets created.
I dont want the existing spool result instaed i want the other result which is generated via se38 as a spool file.
Pls suggest.
One more question is i don't see any code in program where the existing spool file is written.similarly i have checked another program earlier where i dont see the code where exactly spool file gets created ,moreover no sub programs in that too.

will commenting out the statements which writes to current spool file(yet to identify this part of the code) be a good option

Existing IPod and new PC - How can I copy the data on my IPod onto new PC

I have hundreds of songs and photos on my IPod Touch, but the PC that I used to load them from has "died" and I cannot get access the Library's that I created on the new PC (using Vista).
As most of the songs were copied from CD's (some of which I don't have anymore), can someone advise how to "copy: or synchronize what I have on the IPOd with my new PC?
Should I create new "lists"?
What will happen if I download some songs / albums and try to synchronize them onto my IPod?

Extending the existing functional locations to a new plant?

The following is my concern:
Q1) I have a set of functional locations(roughly around 5000 records) assigned to say Plant A.
I would like to extend these existing functional locations to Plant B. I am not permitted to do this using LSMW. I should execute this operation in one shot.
How to accomplish this?
Q2) After attaching all the functional locations to Plant B, i should replace the first 4 characters of the functional location structure with the Plant Code itself. Again not through an lsmw. How to accomplish this in one shot?
Please let me know the procedure of doing it with some guidelines.

1. You can extentd to the other plant with SCAT ,BDC etc
2. But You can not replace the first four letters from the FL with the New plant code.Remember this is a master data
