Copy Transport Request (customizing-workbench) between different systems

Hello guys !
I have a question.
I can copy transport request of customizing and workbench from ECC 6.0 system to another ECC 6.0, with the same levels of support packages and patch realease, but one of the systems in Windows and another in AIX?. The database is the same: oracle.
Thanks guys!!!
dcardena

Hi Dcardena,
You can very well copy the request. Different OS platforms won't make any difference.

  • Transferring payments between different systems

Our Client has SAP CR&B and Oracle Financials.
SAP CR&B and Oracle use different Bank Accounts.
How do other clients handle scenarios where they have move dollars between different systems?
    For example:
A customer has a receivable of 100 dollars in SAP CR&B and another receivable of 900 dollars in Oracle A/R.
Customer sends a payment for 1000 dollars which gets posted in SAP and also funded in the bank account.  There is a credit of 900 on the customer account in sap.
We need to move the 900 dollars from SAP to Oracle system.  Client wants to reverse the 1000 dollar payment posting and make a new payment posting for 100 dollars in SAP system.
If we make this new posting of 100 dollars - the bank clearing a/c will be off balance because we cant make the corresponding funding posting to the bank a/c since the money is already realized in the bank.

    Hi,
I dont know if any physical connection is possible b/w your two systems-SAP CR&B and Oracle Financials.
However, what you can do is, you can move the total amount of say $1000 to the payment clarification worklist in SAP.
Then from there you can allocate the amount pertaining to the customer in SAP, say $100 to the customer account.
The remaining $900 you can move to a suspense account., and then post a misc dr to offset the same using a particular set of main\sub pertaining to a GL a/c-Payments-Oracle Financials in SAP.
In oracle, you can post a misc cr against the same GL A/c of $900 and allocate it against the  customer's account.
At the end of the day, when you reconcile, entries in GL A/c in SAP should exaclty offset the entries of the GL A/c in Oracle.
    Hope it helps....
    Thanks,

  • How to install transport request files into the SAP system

    Hi Experts,
I want to install transport request files into my SAP source and target system . I am from BW/BI background so can anyone help me out with the step by step procedure for the above installation.
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Shiva

    Hi,
What I understand is, you want to transport request from one server to another.
for example, Development to Qualtiy or Quality to Production.
For this your transport system must be configured. Please search help.sap.com or google for "How to configure Transport System (STMS)".
If you want to copy transport request from one system to another system which is not in your landscape, you need to physically move/copy transport request (cofile and datafile) to the target system in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles and /usr/sap/trans/data
Then import that request using SCC1.
You can alos perform TEST import for result.

  • Transport Mailboxes between different systems

    Hi,
I've recently been in a situation where I had to transport 35 mailboxes from one GW7 system to another GW7 system (2 seperate networks). The way we did this was by archiving each of the mailboxes in the first system, renamed the fid and restore in the mailboxes created in the new system.
Besides that this was a very time consuming and tedious procedure, especially with some large mailboxes involved, we also encountered situations where archives were corrupted for some reason.
I expected that such 'migration' would be far easier then one from for example Exchange to GroupWise, but after this experience give me the latter anytime!
Did I overlook something and IS there a much easier and less risky method of performing such migration?
I expect to have a couple more of these migrations coming up, so any suggestions are welcome.

  • Transfer customizing data between SAP System

    Hi to all!
How I can transfer PS customizing data between R/3 4.5B and R/3 4.7?
    Thanks,
    Gianluca

    Hi,
Can I suggest a slightly more robust approach?  What Andreas is suggesting, is that in fact you should be able to transfer the customising data by doing a standard transport.  You can create a transport in your 4.5B system and then it can be physically copied (at the operating system level, for example FTP) to your 4.7 system and then imported.
I think that this is probably the right way to go, but you may have some troubles if the PS system has some changes in 4.7 (as the destination config tables may have different structures to the source tables).
The change I suggest from Andreas is start by using the IMG to generate the transport.  If you go to every area of customising that you wish to transfer to the 4.7 system and make a change (save to a change request) then change it back and save, you will make sure that you have every table required to be transferred in your change request.  You can then edit the change request (in SE09) and change the keys (by putting an *, rather than the specific data) to ensure you get all the data.
I just feel that given the complexity of configuration tables (and the sheer number of them) it would flow smoother if generated the initial list via the IMG, rather than trying to figure them all out yourself.
After the change request has all the correct entries you will need to release it (to ensure that the object in Unix has all the data from the SAP system).  You can then FTP it to the 4.7 system and do an import of the change request (and cross your fingers that you don't get import errors due to config tables changing in 4.7).
    Hope that helps,
    Brad

  • Checking Transport requests present in two different clients.

We have around 200 transport requests that have been transported by consultants from D01 to R01-client1/client2 and I need to check that which transport is present in which R01 system client.. i.e. a) how many of them are present in client 1, b) how many are in client 2 and c) how many are in both. We can check the logs of every transoprt through SE10 but Is there any quick/automated way of checking mass Transport Requests status ?

    Dear Raichandi,
Please follow the below steps to get the desired information.
    1. Login to D01 (Dev client) to find the released transports..
    2. Execute transaction SE01
    3. Go to "Transport" tab
    4. Give User as "*"
    5. Select "Request Type" by tick mark as Customizing Requests and Workbench Requests
6 Select "Request Status" by tick mark as "Released" only
    7. Click on "Display Button"
    8. It would display all the released transports requests.
    9. From here you can copy and paste all these requests numbers in the spread sheet
(CTRL + Y) then use Mouse to select the requets, (CTRL +C), and then paste it in exel sheet.
    1. Now Login to the R01 (QA client) to find the import status of the release transports from D01.
    2. Execute transaction STMS
    3. Click on "Import Overview (F5)" or the Truck Symbol.
    4. It will take you to the Import Queues for the Import Domain D01.
    5. This is the option where you can select the Queue to see the desired information for Quality/Stag/prod system.
    6. Now double click on the required "Import Queue" for R01 (Quality system).
    7. Now Go to  "Import History or (CTRL+ F7)"
    8. Change the Filters as required (may be for time interval or remove any filter on client -Clt)
    9. The import History will display all the Imported requests in all clients in one system (SID), so for your case it will display requests for R01/client1 and R01/client2
    10.  Copy  the same in the spread sheet...
    11. Do the VLOOKUP to find which are not imported in which clients.
Please provide the feedback if it works.
    Thanks,
    Vinod

  • Object Comparison between different systems

    Hi to all,
any of you have made a program to compare object/object versions between diferent systems (with RFCs).
Can you tell me wich Function Models and tableshave you used.
I found a very usefull Function Model SVRS_GET_VERSION_DIRECTORY_46 very usefull for my purpose but i depared myself with a strange problem. The table VRSD used in this FM have all the Objects in the System but when i tried to transport a request between 2 diferent Systems no new entry was added to VRSD in the target system so SVRS_GET_VERSION_DIRECTORY_46 is no usefull.
Any one knows if there is any customizing relative to this table or any process to catch this transported objects in the target System?
There is one entry in E070 but here thre is no reference for Object versions.
Many thanks and any help will be very Helpfull.
    Thanks In advance

    Hi Pedro,
Can you let me know which object you are comparing? Were you not able to do remote comparision for that object?

  • Re-transport the transport request to NQA server after system refresh

There are some transport requests that are released and are moved only to NQA server but not in Production server.

Id there is any other way to re-transport the requests, pls suggest us.
    Thanks
    Amar

    Amar,
Depending on how many tarnsports you have and also if this is one time, what you can do is ask Basis guys to write a small script which adds to the buffer to your NQA system.
    Steps:
    1) under /usr/sap/trans/buffer rename the NQA buffer file.
    2) create a new empty file NQA (make sure permissions are identical)
    3) Provide the list of transports and ask Basis team to put it in a file at Unix level
    4) Run a script which will add to the buffer from the source file.
    5) From STMS refresh the NQA queue and you should see all the transports ready for import.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to create a transport request/customizing table?

    Hi,...
I have create a table that can be maintained by sm30 in development system. How can I configure this table, so user can maintain this in development system only and create a customizing transport request to transport all data in this dev table to production.
Any help, links would be appreciated thanks

    Yusuf,
Shekhar has given you the right answer.  With the standard recording routine switched on you will be prompted everytime you save changes via SM30.
Have you re-generated the maintenance dialog since setting this flag?
Or, perhaps the client you are testing in does not have the automatic recording switched on (check in transaction SCC4, should have the setting Automatic recording of changes for your client).
    Cheers,

  • Move Transport request to target with different Sps

    Hi All,
This is a very basic question. Just want to clear myself.
We have released some transports after applying NW 700 Ehp1. Can we move these transport to systems with NW 700 Sp16 (ie, w/o Enhp1) ?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
Such transports are technically possible, but inconsistencies can occur between the versions of the transported objects. For example if you first import the Support Packages in the development system and then change an object with a transport request, the version of the transport request is valid there. If you first import the transport request in the subsequent system and then the Support Packages, the version of the Support Packages is active there.
    Jusy giving another small illustration
As an example, your development system is running a higher support package level then your acceptance and/or production. If an ABAP developer creates or modifies a function which uses functionality (pieces of code) brought into the system by a support package which is not available in the acceptance or production system, this function is no longer going to work after it has been transported to those systems.

  • Want to keep Copied transport request as it is.

    Dear all.
I have created one transport request  in development but unfortunetlly the another function team transport request has been copied to my request now i saved that request . could i know if i deleted that request that copied request get any problem please guide me to resolve the problem.how to go ahead and keep that function team request as it is,i dont want to change anything in function team request.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    Hi Deepak,
THe request copied by functional team to your request should be a Tasks under main request. And you can remove that task by checking with functional team , so that they can move the entries to their own request. But you can only remove the task if that is not released by changing the owner of transport, or if you have transport admin rights. Check with basis team if you don't have access.
Imp: Functional team can only confirm the impact of their transport to target system as they should be aware with the data in transport.
    Cheers:)

    thanks for any helps!

Yes, you can use the HTTP protocol as a transport for the XML message, this
is basically what the HTTP binding for SOAP does. The key is using a
packaging mechanism that different applications will understand, otherwise
only your own applications will know how to extract and process the XML
    messages you send between them.

  • How to Transport G/L Accounts between two systems?

    Hi,
I am trying to move the Chart Of Accounts along with Company dependent data from our Dev to QA system. I used transaction OBY9 to transport the chart of accounts however, it is only transporting chart of accounts related data and I had to re-create those accounts in Company Code.
I also tried to use FS15 and FS16 between two systems however, no luck. Could you please provide any guidance based on your experience?
    Thanks,
    Durgesh.

    Hi John,
For activating ALE for a particular message type there are following prerequisites:
    1. Set up the RFC Connection (ABAP) between two systems
    2. Configure model view in Sender system
    3. Distribute Model view  from sender system
    4. Generate partner profile from sender system (In sender system go to tcode WE20 go to partner type LS and maintain outbound parameter for message type GLMAST)
    5. In receiving system go to tcode WE20 go to partner type LS and maintain Inbound parameter --> Message type GLMAST and Process code GLMA.
Save entries and the above should work for you.
Generate IDOC for one GL Account and try to send company code date for one company code first. The message will appear which says "one idoc transferred".

  • Copy transport Request from Devlopment to Sand Box

    Hi All,
Is there any way to move transport request from one system i.e. Development to Sandbox system(another system) without release.
    Regards,
    Manmohan

    Hi,
If you do not want to release your actual transport request. Alternatively you can create transport of copies, release that, and test it on dev system.
In case testing is successful, you can release your actual transport and move it across.
If it is not, make the necessary changes and still you can record the changes in your actual transport request as you haven't released yet.
    cheers !!!
