Copy URL Problem

Hi
When I select 'Copy URL' to send the page to another browser on my iPod Touch, it doesn't always copy the entire link.
For example, if I carry out a Google search and then copy the URL across to another browser (e.g. Opera Mini or Safari), it only takes me to the Google main page, not the search result page I've just created.
Another example is when I copy a forum page link. Again, it doesn't copy the entire URL and I am often told that the page I requested does not exist.
Am I doing something wrong, or is this some kind of bug or limitation?

I can be playing my favorite games, or voting on abc and other things. Abox comes up and says your url is not valid. This happens a lot. What's wrong? If this doesn't start working, I am going to change my browser.

No options under the distribute tab to copy url link or embed a fillable PDF form

I Have a paid basic account is not giving me the option to under the distribute tab to copy url link or embed a fillable PDF form? Simply put it doesn't show up for an option. I want to embed the form into my website but the embed feature is not showing up? Please help I have been at this all day.

Based on your answer above, it sounds like you uploaded the file to your website, as opposed to the function being available from formscentral.
If you have downloaded the file from Acrobat Pro then uploaded it to a website and had the upload pinned to a download button, then that is going to be a function of your website. Your workaround has nothing to do with formscentral itself.
You essentially uploaded the file to your website, then made it a downloadable file. The reason it is opening in your browser is because you have the Adobe Reader/Acrobat plug-in for your browser. It's not actually "embedded". If you uninstalled all of your adobe plug-ins, then it would open Reader or Acrobat, not in the browser. The reason it only opens in Safari is likely due to the fact that you only have the Adobe Reader/Acrobat plug-in enabled for Safari, and it is disabled for the other browsers.

Safari copy url button doesn't work

I just upgraded from an ipad2 to an iPad air 2. Before, if I wanted to copy and paste a url I'd use the copy button. Now,on the new iPad air 2, the copy button just wipes out whatever I've previously copied, and doesn't copy the url.

You tap and hold down in the URL field until you get the option to select all. Then you choose the option to select all. An option to Copy appears and you select that and then you should be able to paste that URL into a text field.
Safari copy url button doesn't work
I Realize that you must know the steps but I am just double checking. If that is not working for you, and you are not having copy and paste issues elsewhere in other apps, I would try clearing Safari, force close it and then reset your iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
Now force close Safari. In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Next, reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Copy URL in iOS8 Mobile Safari

Mobile Safari in iOS 7 had a button that would copy the full URL of a page.
Is there also a "copy URL to clipboard" button for Mobile Safari in iOS 8? I've tried taping the "Copy" button but it does NOT copy the URL to the clipboard. What am I doing wrong?

Click 2 call and excel copy/paste problems

Recent posts from late May claim that the click to call issues were resolved in late may. Today is June 21/12 and I resolved the problem yesterday by un-installing the click to call program. Prior to that cut and copy requests were losing the marquee around copied cells and when target cells were right clicked the context menu did not include Insert Copied cells.
Some problems may have been addressed but the problem still exists. It's too bad because click to call was a good feature.

Copy Adobe video lessons (copy URL) and watch them again?

I copied a short Adobe video lession I really liked by right cliking and selecting COPY URL. Now I don't know where the video went or how to find and watch it again. Does anyone know how to do this or in general how to find,copy and wathc certan lessions?

The URL went to your clipboard. In order to preserve it, you need to paste it somewhere, like Notepad and save the file, otherwise it gets overwritten once you copy something else or (of course) turn off the computer.

URL problems with SQL Server Reporting Services 2012 with wildcard SSL certificate

I have single server, domain member, with SQL Server 2012 SP1 Reporting Services.
I am trying to get work with url: https://reports.mydomain.com
I have valid wildcard certificate (*.mydomain.com) implemented and configured URLs in Configuration Manager.
https://reports.mydomain.com/ReportServer - works fine
https://reports.3pro.hr/Reports/ - I got error:
The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel.
In rsreportserver.config I have:

When looking my ReportServerService_date.log file I have something like:

I spent one of my 4 free support incidents with Microsoft (part of MSDN subscription) this year to get this investigated. The tech support person helped me through several issues but had to leave to attend some training, and I got past the last hurdle
before she called me back. Here are the steps that resolved this issue for me. I know for sure that step 5 was necessary. Step 1 may not apply to you, and steps 2-4 may or may not have been necessary (they didn't immediately fix the issue,
but I didn't roll them back either so they may have been necessary.)
Step 1:
Ensure you are editing the correct rsreportserver.config file. I had been making changes to a file that was installed in C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\Web Server Extensions\14\WebServices\Reporting, but that was a rsreportserver.config
file for some sharepoint integration that I'm not using. The correct path on my system was E:\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\rsreportserver.config, but yours may vary. If you can't figure it out, look in the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft
SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Setup in the key named SQLPath, and then go to the ReportServer subdirectory of that path.
Step 2:
In rsreportserver.config, ensure that SecureConnectionLevel is set to the value 3. Was set to 0 in my configuration. Corrected line in your rsreportserver.confiog file should look like:

Step 3:
In rsreportserver.config, add the correct value to the <URLRoot> element (which already exists in the file.) In my configuration, this value was blank. The value should be the fully qualified path to your report server, with a hostname that
is valid for your certificate. For example, if my cert matches *.mydomain.local:
<UrlRoot>
https://myserver.mydomain.local/ReportServer
</UrlRoot>
Step 4:
Ensure that your certificate exists in Trusted Root Certification Authorities in certmgr for the local machine. I had the certificate installed as a Personal certificate for the local machine, which I still think was correct (the certificate wasn't actually
the problem and worked correctly for Report Server, and the failure was caused by SSRS incorrectly making a https request to a localhost URL), but she had me remove the certificate from Personal and add it to Trusted Root Certificate Authorities. That
broke things and the cert was no longer listed as a cert I could bind to, so we then copied it so it existed in both Personal and Trusted Root Certificate Authorities. This is how I left it, not sure if that was necessary.
Step 5:
This was the fix that finally got things to work. In rsreportserver.config, add the same value to the <ReportServerUrl> element (which also already exists in the file) that you added in step 3. In my configuration, this value was also blank.
The corrected value should be the same as in step 3, for example:
<ReportServerUrl>
https://myserver.mydomain.local/ReportServer
</ReportServerUrl>
Then restart your report server (stop & then start in Report Server Configuration Manager), and the problem should go away. At least it did for me.

Can access my album on photobucket but can't copy urls of pictures to put links in. My wife can on her computer and I can using IE. Help

When I try to get the urls of pictures on photobucket they won't copy (in fact they are not even recognised as copyable).
I can access them from another computer also using the same version of Firefox or from my computer using IE.
I am using ver 3.6.13 on Windows 7

Solved the problem.
Saved bookmarks into a HTML file.
Removed Firefox entirely.
Downloaded it and installed it again.
Imported bookmarks.
Works perfectly.

ADF JSF URL problems...

Hi All,
I have the following requirement. Please could someone help me out?
1) I have a dot net application into which I can log in with either the Canadian or US context. This is kind of multi-orging.
2) Once logged in, the user needs to right click on a value in a panel inside this Windows dot net application and click a menu option.
3) Once the option is clicked, a new JSF page will open. The URL for this JSF page will have the parameters such as the user country code plus the document number of the panel value.
4) For this JSF page I am planning on an ADF JSF application. The application module for this application will have two database connections, basically two different schemas which are triggered based on the context information. These are already available in the bc4j.xcfg file.
5) Based on the country parameter passed in the URL, I need to alternate the database connection information on the root application module created by the application between teh two database schemas using the bc4j.xcfg file in the Model project of the application. This needs to be done dynamically through the code.
In order to fulfill the above requirement, I need to do the following:-
1) As soon as the URL is triggered, the ADF application needs to read the URL parameters and set the context specific database schema of the application module without pressing a button or any other manual user trigger in hte JSF page. Basically I am looking at loading the JSF page dynamically after having set the database schema on the application module that was instantiated using the URL parameters
2) After step 1, since the database schema is now set on the context I will be able to use the database schema to load data from the database objects.
3) Each schema has a database trigger which runs when the database connection is initiated. This is used to set the multi-org context.
Please could someone help me out with step 1 above on how to read URL parameters without any user triggers on the JSF page and setting the database schema on the application module being used by the application. Please remember that I am not using JDBC data sources but JDBC URL's to create m application.
Any code samples to load the current application module instance and setting the database connection on the same from bc4j.xcfg would be very very helpful.

("Command buttons")
(see in JSF manual "Using java server faces tech.", page 82 Handling Events: Application Events: #

So it is a general Problem, you cannot copy the links from the browser.
I understand, that is is not a bug,
but is there maybe a solution for my problem?
I want to use JSF, because of the good form validation

Open URL problem

We have a Captivate course (published as a SWF file) with a
imagebutton at the end. The user clicks it and then we want another
SWF file to load. We can get this to work fine via the "open URL or
file" action when the SWF is located on a server (
http://localhost/myfile.swf).
But when we deploy to run this off a CD, the browser window will
open via the filesystem (file:///D:/myfile.swf). In this instance
we cannot get the Open URL to work.
Remembering that not all CD drives are the "D" drive we
cannot hard-code that link in. We tried referencing the next file
(which is in the same directory) with "myfile2.swf",
"/myfile2.swf", "./myfile2.swf". We wrote some javascript that
would determine the local HREF to get the path. All of those
methods WORK when the SWF file is on a server (e.g. "localhost").
None of them work when viewing the webpage (SWF) thru the
filesystem (e.g. "file:///D:/")
Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get around this
issue? (If my explanation of the problem is not clear I would be
happy to provide more info)

If that cures it, you have to consider a way past it for your users. One way past it is to use a small web server. The steps for that are below:
Download the Server2Go software from http://www.server2go-web.de/download/download.html
Choose the Micro package
This should result in receiving a zip file named distribute_apache1.3_micro.zip
Unzip the contents of the zip file to the root of your hard drive ( C:\ )
This should create a folder named distribute_apache1.3_micro
Open this folder and delete the following files and folders inside:
Files:
splash.bmp
logo.ico
readme.txt
Folders:
dlls
dbdir
cgi-bin
Open the htdocs folder and delete all files and folders inside.
Copy all of your Captivate output files to the htdocs folder
Rename the HTML page Captivate created to index.htm
Copy the contents of the distribute_apache1.3_micro folder to the CD-ROM and test!

When trying to COPY URLs in Tweets, Safari says "No-Can-Do!"

Is there a fix for not being able to copy text from Twitter that includes a URL?
With Twitter being so popular, how come Safari plays a no-can-do sound while Firefox and Chrome perform flawlessly?
I have this problem on various machines with different versions of OS X, all with the latest version of Safari. I tried clearing Cache, disabling Extensions etc.

Open that individual tweet in a new window or tab and copy the text from there. This is caused by a problem with the JavaScript routine that turns the small URLs into full ones at the moment the copy is performed.

Source url problem

Hi all,
I'm trying to update a package but I have some problem to download it:
the source url is:
http://git.fedoraproject.org/?p=hosted/nodoka;a=blob_plain;f=branches/0.6/gtk-nodoka-engine-0.6.tar.gz;hb=HEAD
with a browser the file is downloaded correctly, but with wget the name of the file is something like
index.html?p=hosted%2Fnodoka;a=blob_plain;f=branches%2F0.6%2Fgtk-nodoka-engine-0.6.tar.gz;hb=HEAD
Someone know some hacks for this problem?

Oops, my bad. What I said only applies to makepkg 3.1 .
It works fine with makepkg 3.0 indeed, except the md5sum part. Also it fails to copy the files from $startdir/src to $SRCDEST (which defaults to $startdir), but it isn't critical.
makepkg 3.1 however first download the files to $SRCDEST (which still defaults to $startdir), and then try to link them to $startdir/src, where it fails. And it stops there.
I am not sure if I should report a bug for this, since it's apparently not possible to support these broken url...
Otherwise, after thinking a bit on this problem, rather than using this dirty hack previously mentioned : FTPAGENT="$FTPAGENT -O gtk-nodoka-engine-0.6.tar.gz;hb=HEAD"
or using git manually and trying to checkout the stable release with it,
why not just combining these 2 ways?
That is, downloading the files manually with wget (so not using the sources array, just like git/svn/cvs PKGBUILDs), and extracting them manually.
This works nicely with both makepkg versions.

Mp3 and url problem

I have searched here on this forum, but I haven´t found
a solutions for my two problems or
I haven˝t searched properly.
My first problem is with mp3 files. I have created a mysql
database for my mp3 files
like this: id (int), date (date), content (varchar), file
(varchar) and now my problem is
how to set up the page so the file loads on the page and the
user
can be listend to it.
My second problem is with url. I have created a image gallery
for my banners on the site.
My SQL table is setup like this: id (int), client (varchar),
banner (varchar), link (varchar), startingdate (date) and
endingdate (date). I would like to setup is like this: if an
user clicks on the banner it will take him to the
clients site.
I thank everyone in advance for any tips I can get to solve
my two problems.
