  • Web Dynpro automatically activate service after transport

    Hi all!
Well - I've searched SDN.  I've read notes.   I googled.  I can't seem to find exactly what I want.    When a web dynpro component transports it automatically activates in the new system.  However, the application creates an ICF entry.   That "service" does not automatically activate.  I can go to SICF and activate, but I don't want to do that in all the systems.  Nor do I have the authority in all systems.
Everything I've read on SDN seems to point to the fact that it can't be automatically activated.  The notes that I've read seem to piont to the fact that it can be activated automatically with the correct Basis settings.
When the application is created it automatically creates a "service" in http:server//sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/application.   Maybe it should be in a custom namespace?
Anyway I'm stuck - any help you could provide would be great.  I'm on ECC 6.0.
I've already read these notes that seem like they would help:
    1088717
    1124553
    1043195
    I've tried running RSICF_SERVICE_ACTIVATION.
I can activate the service manually.   It just isn't something that I'd like to do.
This may not be the correct forum, but as it relates directly to WDA, I thought I'd give it a try here.
    Thank you!

    Hi Thomas,
I just want to add that a user who creates this variant, still needs authorization for Tcode SICF. But you're right, this could be done ones for a range of services.

  • Clipboard issue- Automatically copying content past into another system across the network.

    Hi,
I am facing issue related clipboard in all windows platform in our organization. Say example: Person A copying something from any application or browser in his system and when he is going to past into another apps(word file or text file) in the same system,
its pasting some other text content, which is copied in another system, which is using by person B. Again Person B when is going to copy and paste something in his system, pasting content is from person C's system. It is happening in all system in our organization.
It is very terrific problem, which is seen first time in my life. It is happening intermittently in all system.
Our organization is mainly R&D and software development company, Developers using windows clipboard in local system, but not
in another system thru n etwork or LAN. I have installed updated windows patch, Forefront antivirus in all system and also run scan. Not found any virus. We are continuously trying to identify the issue. Yet we did not get any solution.

    Hi Nirupam,
This is weird. Please disconnect the network from these computer to check if they work fine.
This is also might be caused by some third-party software conflict. In such situation, I would suggest you perform a clean boot in Windows clients to rule out the cause of third party programs.

  • Why does my block diagram change when I copy my code to another system?

I am doing development work on a laptop on Win XP and using LabVIEW 2009 with service pack 1. When I copy the code to the target system, my block diagrams are changed and no longer fit the screen. Much of the code is spread out, mainly down. The target system is running Windows 7 and also has LabVIEW 2009, SP 1.
I notice that any constants that are clusters are expanded when copying the code to the other system. I've gone in and turned off the autosizing for these clusters but they are still expanded. I like to shrink them to a small size for saving space.
I've gone through and manually re-adjusted the block diagram on the target system, but when I copy it back to my development laptop, the same thing happens again. This is not an acceptable way to develop code and it has caused a real problem to proceed. I'm contracting this work and must develop this code offsite. Can anyone please help me with this? I can't keep restructuring my block diagrams every time I copy the code from one system to the other.

Windows XP used Tahoma size 8 as its basic system font.  When MS came up with Vista, they changed it to Segoe size 9.  I'm not sure what Win 7 is, but I think it is the same as Vista.  That font change, and certainly font size change seems to be the underlying cause for block diagrams changing their appearance.  (And for front panel controls and labels as well.)
LV seems to use the Windows system font as its default font.  Interestingly, it seems like the font sizes in LV are something like size 12, 13, 14, 15.  I think a size 9 is equivalent to a size 15, but I'm not sure about the comparisons.  (Check out this thread.)
There are a few things you can do to try to make one system look more like the other.
    1.  Go into the Windows screen settings. In Vista, right click desktop, Personalize.  Window color and appearance.  Open classic appearance properties.  Try changing the color scheme from Windows Aero, to something like Windows Classic or Windows standard.  They both use Tahoma 8.
    2.  Or same as Step 1, but go further into Advanced button.  Pick on any option that uses font such as Menu, Message Box, Active or Inactive Title Bar and change the font there.  I'm not sure which of the items that has a font setting is the key one.
    3.  LV uses 3 fonts called Application, System, and Dialog.  I think each of those map to one of those Windows options, but I'm not sure which goes to which.
    4.  In LV, Tools/Options/Environment has a subsection called Fonts.   Those 3 basic LV fonts are selectable there.  There is also a checkbox for me which is checked and says to use default.  If you uncheck that checkbox, a Font Style button becomes enabled.  You go in there and you can choose fonts and sizes.  And the Application, System, and Dialog fonts as well as all the usual fonts names (Arial, MS Sans Serif, Greek, ....) are selectable along with fonts sizes.  Play around in there.  The whole section is very confusing, and I have no idea how it works.  I recommend going to this idea A better way to specify (default) fonts and putting in a vote.   Also this idea, Fix font behavior between windows versions, platforms & executables, deserves some love.
    5. Some of these settings can also show up in your LabVIEW.ini file.
    FPFont = "0" 15
BDFont = "0" 13  (I think the "0" means app font, "1" means system font, and "2" means dialog font)
    Also,
    appFont="Tahoma" 13
    systemFont="Tahoma" 13
    dialogFont="Tahoma" 13
(And if necessary, put these in your built application's .ini file)
As you can see, there are a lot of different things going on and they also seem to conflict with each other.  I starting stumbling on the block diagram issue between working on my app on XP at work and on my Vista machine at home about 6 months ago.  I think my problem actually started with the front panel when I was trying to align labels, and use some arrow head decals on boolean buttons.  I think I did the customization of buttons in a couple different ways (because I did some, came back later to do others, and couldn't remember exactly how I did it.)  As a result some decals looked different than others when I changed machines.  And I swear going from XP to Vista, or Vista to XP the problem got both worse ways rather than let's say larger one way, and smaller the other way.
Replying to your message is about as much to me trying to combine all the pieces of knowledge I've stumbled across over the past months and year as it is for trying to help you.  Hopefully, this information gives you some places you can look at and play with.  (I bet #1, would be a quick, easy way to solve your immediate problem, but I haven't really tried it myself to be sure.)
I hope someone from NI who has a better understanding than me about these font issues could jump in and correct any mistakes I made, or add anything I might have left out.  What we really need is some sort of "nugget" or National Instruments white paper that really explains all of this in ways we can use rather than us stumbling around in the dark doing things trial and error to figure it out.  Generally, any changes to the .ini files require you to shutdown LV and restart it to take effect which can take a couple minutes.  And considering all the various combinations of things that can be done above, your talking about dozens of possible restarts, and sending .vi's between two different PC's with two different operating systems, before figuring these things out.

Hi, the central class which is used for external navigation to a component, is CL_CRM_UI_EXT_NAV_SERVICE.
In the URL of the Web Client, you can specify 4 different parameters:
    1. Object type : crm-object-type
    2. Object action: crm-object-action (A for search, B for Display, C for Edit and D for Create) -> see details in "Define Navigation Profile" and in Define generic OP mapping.
    3. Object value (optional) : crm-object-value
    4. Object key name (optional): crm-object-keyname
If you use option 3 and 4, then you also need to define a mapper class in customizing to create a BOL entity based on the key name and value. See for example class CL_CRM_UIU_BT_OBJ_MAPPER and method IF_CRM_UI_OBJ_MAPPER~GET_ENTITY_FROM_UI_OBJECT. This is done in "Define Object Mapping". Fro example, for BuilHeader BOL object which is linked to Object type BP_ACCOUNT, you could use the class CL_CRM_BUPA_UIU_OBJ_MAPPER as an example.
    Example of an URL:
    http://<server_name>/sap/crm/crm_logon/default.htm?sap-client=100&crm-object-type=BP_ACCOUNT&crm-object-action=B&crm-object-value=110&crm-object-keyname=PARTNER
    Hope this helps,
    Xavier

  • How to create remote SAP j2ee web dynpro system

I have a J2EE web dynpro on another J2EE instance than the portal.  I want to take advantage of logon tickets from Portal J2EE to this other system.   But creating the system connection in the portal, I'm not sure what system type to select.  If I choose to create an IView for J2EE Web Dynpro, it seems to assume that the app is on the portal instance.
I could just do a straight URL type IView, but then I don't think that I could make logon tickets work with that.

    Thank you, that was helpful.
I followed the instructions to create a system and then web dynpro iview, putting in the relevant parameters.
Our remote webdynpro iview URL is:
    http://<host>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/<namespace>/<app>?SAPtestId=83
SO, in the iview entry, i gave values:
    namespace: sap.com/<namespace>
    app: <app>
    parameters: SAPTestId=83
    When I preview it, I get a J2EE exception:

  • Consume WebService in ABAP Web Dynpro

Hi, Is there any How To or step by step document which shows to consume web service in ABAP Web Dynpro.
I've searched a lot but could not find any.
    Please provide me some pointer/examples.
    Thanks,
    CD

    Hi Thomas,
I am facing a problem in consuming web service in webdynpro.
I created a web service for standard FM BAPI_BUS1240_CREATE (it is available in SAP ECC server).
I want to consume this web service in another system (SAP Portal system, where users will be providing input; this FM is not available here).
I created a Proxy class in SAP Portal system through the WSDL document of the Web service.
I configured logical port for the same in TCode: SOAMANAGER and successfully tested the Client proxy (through TCode: SE80). As a result, the record is created in SAP ECC server.
Now, I am unable to do the same through Webdynpro. Please find the attached Proxy class screen-shot. It has 6 methods of which BUS1240_CREATE contains the relevant parameters of the actual BAPI FM.
I filled up the same parameters that I used in Testing the Client proxy but unable to create record in SAP ECC system. My code (On_submit of a button) looks like below,
    TRY.
          CREATE OBJECT wd_assist
            EXPORTING
logical_port_name = 'ZXXXXXXX'.          "Logical port configured through SOAMANGER
            CATCH cx_ai_system_fault.
      ENDTRY.
CALL METHOD wd_assist->bus1240create                  "Method filled with input parameters given by user
            EXPORTING
              input  = ls_inp
            IMPORTING
              output = ls_outp.
After execution of method BUS1240_CREATE, system throws the error as below,
The following error text was processed in the system DEP : Error (id=SoapFaultCode:5 ): Web service processing error; more details in the web service error log on provider side (UTC timestamp 20141011062545; Transaction ID 5B0F51E4AD4EF13EA6B9E41F137BE3CC)
Please tell me where I went wrong. Do I need to call methods of the Proxy class? Also suggest if any configuration change involved in this.
    Have a nice day, thanks.

  • Web DynPro Versioning

    Hi,
I'd like to know if there is a system to include in the HTML of the web dynpro a comment in which to put in a number or string that represent the current version/changeset number/last modification date of the web Dynpro.
I need this "trick" because sometimes the transport of the activities does not go as expected and Web DynPros are not properly updated. Sometimes the changes between two consecutive versions are not GUI changes but code changes and there is no way to see at a glance if the transport completed successfully.
Any ideas how to do this?
    Thank you,
    Pietro

    Hi Ajay,
if Netweaver keeps track of the current build number (i.e., a version number that is incremented by 1 every time the Web DynPro is built) and stores it as a special readable property or even as a number written in a plain text file, it still will be possible to read and display it. The important thing is that this number is incremented automatically by Netweaver and that is indicative of the "current version" of the Web DynPro (i.e. the 276-times-built Web DynPro is an older version in respect to the 321-times-built same Web DynPro).
So if I transport version 222 and then I build the WDP three times locally and transport it again, the "build number file/property" now reads 225 and the method embedded in the code is still the same ("read the number in that file/property and show it").
I hope that explains what I meant.
A number like that, if Netweaver uses or creates it, is the simplest way to see what "version" a Web DynPro is. Alternatively the last build date should do the same trick. The problem is that I need to get, in the code, some sort of "marker" that Netweaver uses to keep track of the version of the Web DynPro.
    Regards,
    Pietro

  • Process Context Web Dynpro

    Hello,
Can we have one process context across whole BPM and Web Dynpro? My scenario is: Executing BPM in Web Dynpro through a Web Service. Presently I have set two contexts( one is for web dynpro and another for BPM Web Service/Process Context). Can I use one context instead of two types of contexts. Please let me know if there are any limitations.
    Thanks,
    Sunita.

    HI Sunita,
technically you need different contexts for WebDynpro and BPM. This is due to the fact that these are two independent technologies which manage their context data differently. So, you will need a WebDynpro context as well as a Process context for BPM.
But this does not mean that you cannot share and transfer data from one to another. From the WebDynpro context you might fill the WebService input. This can be simply done through context mapping and model binding. Once the WebService gets called, the input data is automatically mapped and transfered to your Process context. Of course, this has to be modelled first in the Process Composer. From here, you might use the context data to map to activites (human and automated) in your process. From here, you are able to again map it to a WebService in case of an automated activity or a WebDynpro context in case of a human activity.
Hope, this brought some more clarity.
    Best regards,
    Stefan

  • Work on tasks without using the Web-Dynpro

    Hello everybody,
i´m new at BPM and i have a question about tasks. Is there a way to work on tasks with the BPM API or something without using the Web-Dynpro? The System i work with is the CE 7.2. I can also use a CE 7.3 test System.
    thanks
Edited by: jtrebess on Oct 5, 2011 3:57 PM

Here ist the scenario: I have to write an application which has its own UWL. I know that it is possible to read tasks for the current user. Is it also possible to manage the task with the BPM-API? Is it possible to get the output parameter and to transfer the required Input parameter?

  • WDA: Web Dynpro information

    hi,
can any one tell me how to develop web dynpro on abap workbench , let me know whether i can avail this on netweaver 04 sp09 basis release 640 , abap 640 or r/3 4.7 basis release- 620 , abap 620.
when i run se80 i could not see the web dynpro on my system.
    - John

    Hi John,
SAP had promised to offer two versions of WebDynpro :
    1) WebDynpro for JAVA.
    2) WebDynpro for ABAP.
The webdynpro that we are currently discussing in this forum is 'WebDynpro for JAVA'. For running it, you need to have a separate WAS installation and the programming IDE to be used is NetWeaver Developer Studio. And as the name stands, it is purely based on Java and provides special support to call R/3 functions from within the Java environment.
You can read all about webdynpro from this link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/21/82a9058fa8de46b1ba7522289345b2/frameset.htm
Regarding WebDynpro for ABAP, as Shubham & Bhavik have  already written, it is not released yet. Once that is released, I suppose you can access that environment from within your R/3 system by entering a  transaction code. I think the latest update on WebDynpro ABAP in SDN is this weblog from Thomas Jung.

    Hope this helps,

  • Transport issue when copying a web dynpro component

    Hello All.
I have a web dynpro component lets say ZTest and now I want to copy this, I gave the new one a different name i.e. ZFINAL, now when I copied, it asked me for the trasnport and when I asked to create a new transport I got this message "Class ZIWCI_ZFINAL does not exist" and then I clicked the green arrow again and it created a transport for me. After this process I activated my web dynpro component successfully, my web dynpro component has 3 views and 3 windows. When I looked at my new transport (for ZFinal),  I only saw three tasks attached to teh transport i.e. 1. Interface 2. Info Object from the MIME Repository and 3. Web Dynpro Component but I didn't see Controller (Web Dynpro), Definition (Web Dynpro) and View (Web Dynpro) attached to my transport. Now I wonder when I release my transport to Q I may have issues.
Note: My old trasnport (which has Ztest)has all the missing objects: (Web Dynpro), Definition (Web Dynpro) and View (Web Dynpro)

I resolved it myself.. I had to write the transport entry manually for the views and windows and even the component controller definition.
