Copying a function group gives error

Dear All,
I am copying a function a group JV05. I have copied evrything i.e all the includes, TOP etc. But when i activate the group it gives me error. What could be the problem? I have tried to activate the includes & TOP individually. Still it gives error for some variables. Please help me out.

**2. Enter JV05 as name "-----> click on spectacles button.**
**3. Right click on JV05**
**4. Select copy "--------> give a Zfunction group name**
**5. "Copy all the function modules in this function group with zfunctionmodules.**
**6. Save & Activate.**

System error: Error when copying parameter function group CR01

Dear friends
I am getting the above error while doing the Backflushing in REM.
It occurs when backflushed quantity is issued ,and while confirming the
ACTUAL ACTIVITES above error occurs..........
We have upgrade the system from SAP 4.7 to ECC6.0.
It is giving some error in CRM system but we don't have CRM system.......
Message displayed is as below..................
System error: Error when copying parameter function group CR01
     Message no. CR085
Diagnosis
     Internal error.
Procedure
     Repeat the transaction.
     If the error occurs and you have a CRM System connected to your ERP
     System, the document may have been archived in the CRM System.
     If the error occurs again, inform your system administrator. If the
     error cannot be corrected, call the SAP Hotline directly. Describe which
     steps preceeded the error.

Hi Sandeep
Standard R/3 does not allow backflush without any operation. You need to have an operation to do a backflush.Error message CR 085 is issued because there is no operation in the routing of the material backflushed. System should issue an error when no operations are found in routing. Although, error message CR 085 is not correct, more appropriate message RM 824 for this a program correction is requried check note (691161).

Copy of Function Group SETB giving error

Dear All,
I tried to copy the standard function Group SETB to ZSETB(Which is having SE16 transaction attached) but during activation the include is giving error as "The Field TABNAME is unknown". I have just copied the entire functional group along with function modules. No clue how I can avoid the error. I deleted the include LSETBF10 and re-copied, but error is persisting. Do you have any clue???

Thanks for all your valuable reply. I could avoid the error but could not avoid another error: "The parameter INTTAB of the Global interface has already been defined outside the function". While double clicking on the error, I have reached to a hidden include (Not possible to browse through Navigtion) LZSETB$07. The include contains the following code:

I assume that is a system generated include. The Global option in FM has automatically been copied during copy of the function group and the function module.

Function group activation error

I created a function group and tried to activate it but it gives me this error.
REPORT/PROGRAM statement missing, or program type is INCLUDE
I haven't written any code in it. I just need it so I can use it in my "Generate Table Maintenance" screen.
What can I do? Thanks.

HI,
When you try to activate the Function group ensure that you select all the objects that are part of the function group area activated (Top include and all), Select all these and activate it then it will be activated.

Hi k reddy,
it may depend on the release you use. I remember it was not that easy in the past as already described.
Note that copying functions as well as includes you always need new names for copied objects.
Now, if it is not too much work: Go to main program, see the INLUDE statements for the 'old' function groups includes. Change to new names and copy the includes manually to new name.
Next time it may work.
Or delete new function gropu and start all over again.
Note: If any inluce includes other include statements: Those inludes you must copy and rename manually (if changes are required).

Issue regardin the function group runtime error.

actulay i given the acces key for function group SVIM at the time of saving it asking the package but i given the Zpackage by mistake. after that when i am trying to access transection SE03 and SE80 it is giving the shortdump, the error message is below one.
The following syntax error occurred in program "SAPLSDC_MIME " in include
"LSVIMDAT " in

In Include LSVIMDAT, check whether you have written any Report or Function-Pool two times? It should be only Include program. also save in package SVIM.

Copying the function group CHVW

I am trying to copy the fucntion group ( CHVW) to Z-Function group but I am unable to copy the SAP is
showing the message LCHVWTOP is inactive, if I see LCHVWTOP is active in Standard Function group.

Are you sure you haven't dont release second or more requests for FG?
If you have more requests, your FG may hasn't be last FM list.
Yo can check below include in SAPLZ<FG> function pool.
INCLUDE LZ<FG>UXX. " Function Modules

Fail Safe adding database to group gives error "FS-10006: Unable to open.."

Oracle 11.2.0.1 64bit
Windows 2008 Server 64bit
Two nodes in an active/passive cluster using windows clustering and oracle fail safe.
Problem:
We have created the windows cluster, installed fail safe on both clustered nodes, installed the database software, verified the cluster, created a group and added a virtual address to the group. We also managed to verify the stand alone database instance without any issues. However, when we try to add the database to the group we get the following errors:

Copy of function group BBP_PDH_SEARCH

Hi,
time ago my project made a custom transaction BBPCF01 (copy of FG BBP_CF) in order to make modifications beyond customization limits. All worked perfectly even on web.
Now the user asked some modifications to the search system that go beyond customization, so we've been forced to make a copy of FG BBP_PDH_SEARCH; i also made a new ITS ZBBPSEARCH with the templates for the FG dynpros and a new service on the SICF. The new custom FG has been modified to our needs. On the gui side everything works, on the web we can't see anything but an error message "window.wgu_global_eventhandler is null or not a object"
Does anyone know what's happening here?

Executing function module gives error "Portal request failed: Connection fa

Dear Experts,
I have a Function module Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE which in itself accesses the SAP Update Function module
UPDATE/INSERT of the credit limit(CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE)
and writes the changed data to the Table KNKK(Customer Master Credit Management : Control Area Data).
While executing this fn module Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE
from VC storyboard i received error "Portal request failed:
Connection failed: Nested Exception: Native Connection to backend system is broken" . Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE executes fine and updates data in ECC system.
Than i noticed further that while commenting the part of code in Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGEwhere call to fn module CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE is made there's no error recieved and Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE executes without error but obviously no data is updated.
Appreciate if any one can please explain how can i use CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE in Z_SAT_CREDITLIMIT_CHANGE
without any errors.

Also, check that the user with the one you're accessing to the backend have permissions to execute the Dataservice at the backend system.
You should check the usermapping to know which is the user at backend.

I am able to Copy and Activate .. These are the Steps. Check out.
Goto SE80
Select Fgroup V50S
RIGHT CLICK AND SELECT : copy
It will ask for New Function Module Name
For each FM give a New name starting with z_<name>
(Starting with Z_ OR Y_)
Then The ZFunction group will be displayed in the Left navigation window in SE80
Right click on the ZFunction group name and ACTIVATE
IT will show all the Function modules selected for Activation
Activate.
It gets activated.

Error using BEx Analyzer - tools - 'copy sheet' function

We are getting an error using BEx Analyzer, when we execute a query or workbook and select the 'copy sheet' function. The error is:
An error occurred when communicating with the BI Server
As a result of this the system has been disconnected from the BI server.
Exception Condition 'BAD_VALUE_COMBINATION' raised.
We are using BEx Analyzer 7.10.

Copy Function Group to New Name: Transport Question

When I did this I only see in the transport Function Group with the Function Group Name under it. I would have expected to see all of the objects but I guess not?
I suppose everything will go under thge Function Group name? ie. Includes, Function Modules, etc.?

When I see a thread title like this, the first question I think is "Why copy the function group".
Copying a complete function group leaves your system very open to future data corruption and other problems as patches etc change the code in the original group but do not get reflected in your copy. A repair or enhancement to the original object has the advantage that SPAU will highlight any new versions from SAP allowing you to confirm that your change is still needed.
Another option is to create a custom function that calls the standard code with customer specific pre and post processing. If both the standard and custom function are needed, then including logic based on transaction code, calling report, etc can handle this.
It is interesting to work on the upgrade of a system where there has been significant copying of SAP code - you compare the "Z" version with the original SAP code in the pre-upgrade system and nearly always find differences due to OSS notes etc that were applied without thinking of the customer copy.

I am facing problem while copying function group. I am copying the function group in SE80 transaction . while copying i am able to copy the function modules in it only . but i need to copy includes in the function group. because i need to edit the code inside the includes. while copying Function group standard includes are there in the Z function group.
Can any one help me out how to copy the includes also.
