Copying and Mass Changing of Legal Controls on Material Masters

I have just set up in our DEV system, the Legal controls on the Material Master . . . The Legal Regulation, the Export control class and the Grouping. We do not have Foreign Trade turned on, but we wanted a place to store this information . . . to help when documents are generated. My question(s) now are, when our users create Material Masters in most cases they create in reference to another material. I tried this with what I set up, and it will not copy those fields . . . is there a way it can copy . . .something in configuration that will allow this? And, also our users require a large amount of data to be changed sometimes and these fields possibly fall into that requirement, and I was looking for a way to Mass Change, but I am not able find those fields on the available Mass Change tables . . . I believe I need MAEX . . . Is there a way to Mass Change?

Hello Diane,
There are two things, which have to be done :
-The first thing of course is, that for the fields involved the field :
"Propose Field Content from the Reference" must be set in transaction OMSR.
- The second is, that the user have to enter this screen, because if she/he don't display this screen, then it is technically not possible to copy the reference values.

Copy Project and Mass Change

hi experts,
When I copy a project from another operative project with list of material (external), the plant (in the material component) tab is also copied over to the new project. Is there any way that I could change this plant assignment for each material - it is greyed out in my system.
Additional information:
1. All of these material are Non-Stock (so Plant is irrelevant)
2. Procurement type = third party procurement (PFS)

Hi
It is not possible to change the plant while copying or with mass change function.
Alternatively you can copy all the WBS elements and activities without materials. Set a subsitiution rule to change the Plant at network level.

System audit trail for FBL5N and Mass Change use

Hello,
My client carried out the foll actions yesterday.
Called TCode FBL5N using a range of customers
When the line items were displayed, they selected some of them and then went into Environment - Mass Change - New Values
Here they input a new value to the Dunning Block field.
Then they saved it and came out.
Later they realized that they should not have made the changes to some of the records. Unfortunately, now they dont remember either the customer range for which they had run FBL5N or the line items which they had changed.
So, the question is: is there any way by studying the audit trail or system history, one can find out which are the documents/line items that were changed yesterday within a specific time frame using TCode FBL5N and then Mass Change?
Please see if you can provide some input.

From future, all your transactions will have security audit log.
If you want to see the system log, then visit SM21.

Is there a way to copy and apply changes to photos in iPhoto?

In previous versions of iPhoto, I was able to edit a photo (adjusting exposure, colors, etc.) and then copy and apply the same changes to other photos. I can't seem to figure out how to do this in iPhoto 11 (v 9.3). Is this capability still present, or was it removed? And, if the latter, is there a work around?

Copying and pasting rows in Table Control

Hi,
I've a table control in my screen. TC is displaying data from database.
Modifications, Insertion and deletion of data are allowed in the TC which will in turn reflect to Database.
Now i want users to copy and paste the rows in the TC.
Can any one help me in this regard?

Place the cursor in forst field and press CNT+y now select the entair row by using your mouce and press CNT+C and paste the data in what ever position.

Can't copy and/or change Job

Hi everyone. This is my first post here, so I appologies if I'm posting it in the wrong section.
I'm getting the next issue:
When I try to copy a Job from SM37, I check it and go to Job --> Copy, and then, when I get the pop up where usually you could change the name of the job, this pop up is empty. I mean, it has only the title, but no info inside.
In addition, if I want to change this Job, I go to Job --> Change, I can not modify the start condition, since I don't have all the buttons we use to have there, like the check button, or the save button once you already check it. Even if I close this screen, I have disabled the save button in the main change job screen:
We already check permissions and we found that is not and authorization problem, since I have SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profiles
Any idea or suggestion?

Change of price control in material master

Hi, SAP experts,
We have business scenario where the procurement type in MRP-2 view of material master gets changed from F to E that is an externally procured item will be manufactured inhouse.
In such case in costing view the price control needs to be changed from V to S. If both MAP & std. price are not identical, system is not allowing to change. Secondly since the item will be manufactured inhouse from now onwards, I have to run the cost estimate & update the master.
How do I deal with the situation.
Valuable advice is awaited.

When the price control indicator is "V", system will allow changing the Standard price manually through Transaction code MM02.
Similarly when the price control indicator is "M", system will allow changing the Moving average price manually through Transaction code MM02.

Copy the SQL Binaries and Data to another drive and then change the drive letter to previous drive letter

We have SQL Server 2012 SP1 installed on E drive (which means SQL Binaries, Database and LOGs) are in the same drive E, we are not able to backup the SQL Server because according to Backup Vendor their is a problem with the DISK E which is why the backup
is not successful, We have added one more drive with the same space, we have stopped SQL Server services and copy each and every thing from E drive to new drive and changed the current E Drive to K and changed the new drive to E, after that when we tried to
start SQL Service but it was not starting, we have again reverted back the original drive to E and service was successfully started, please note here that SQL server service logon is NT service / local service. Please help us that how to do achieve this as
we are using the same E drive and OS should not know any thing. Please help us to copy and then change the drive letter to E so that we can delete the old drive.

You should not have done this. Even if you install complete SQL Server on Separate dedicated drive few binaries would always go on system drive that is C drive so your idea of moving files to other drive would sure create a problem. As a fact you cannot
move SQL Server complete installation from one drive to other apart from uninstalling and reinstalling again.
Copy it back an hope fully you would be able to restart. Why should you take a product which allows you to change sql server drive its a bad product. I guess backup engineer does not how to configure backup agent

Mass change of material master

Hi Experts,
I have a query regarding mass change to be done in material master. I need to update one value in the Material group 4 field in sales org view 2 in MM02 transaction for nearly 300000 materials. One option i find is LSMW and the other i saw is transaction MM17. Please let me know how feasible is this MM17 transaction? Is it possible to upload all the 30000 materials through MM17 transaction in one go and update the field? Will there be any performance issue if MM17 transaction is used?
Please give your suggestion.

Use MM17,
Goto the Transaction code MM17 and in the table check the MVKE- sales org data for material
and select the Fields tab and choose the field MVKE-MVGR4 and execute
Now enter all the materials in the next screen for which you want to change and execute
In the next screen you can maintain the new values for the old

Mass change on vendor open item.

We have a requirement to change the payment terms for all vendor open items to 60 days, to do mass change i selected few open documents and click on enviornment and mass change and new values but here payment terms field is not there.
I thought i need to add to the line layout under special fields then i did that even then payment terms are not showing under mass change > new values field under environment but showing as line layout.
Is there a way to solve this as we may have more than 100,000 open documents for all vendors within the company code.

there is no need of payment term to be changed.
If the Payment term is Payable immediately Due net or Blank in the Open Item, simply change the Base Line date for each open item,give date as of 60th day.then system will pick those line items only after 60 days.
Go for LSMW or BDC to Update the field in those line items.

Mass Changing a Version Name

Is there a way to select a group of photos and mass change the Version Name? For instance, I have multiple pictures of Germany that currently have a version name of IMG_XXX.JPG - I'd like to change all these to just Germany.

This advise works if you didn't give the photos a version name during importing . I gave about 160 photos the wrong version name due to my failure to check. when i imported, it listed my previuos version name from other photos. now i try a batch change but it only adds the new version name to the one i don't want ,I've tried replace instead of append with no luck. any advise to delete existing version name and add a new version name. wayne
