Copying assets in Tax book which didnt exist in the corp book last year?

Hi All,
We are facing following issue with our Fixed Assets Tax reporting. If someone can point us in right direction, we would really appreciate that
1)     We are currently running on Oracle 11.5.10
2)     Right now (as of JUN-11), we have 1 consolidated corp book in the system with around 14000 assets in it and no tax books
3)     Tax reporting is done from a third party software. Right now we have filed for taxes till 2009. 2010 tax filing is still pending
4)     We want to file 2010 taxes by August and we want to do it through Oracle. We are planning to configure tax book in the system so that taxes can be filed
5)     The approach would be to create a Tax book with open period as of 2009. Run the Initial Mass copy from corp book to tax book. This would copy everything from corp book to tax book as of Dec-2009. Then depreciate the tax books all through 2010 and run periodic mass copy for every month and we will get the DEC-2010 figure
6)     But there is a catch here. As I said that we have all our assets in just one corp book. But that wasn’t the case before Jan-2011. We had around 20 corp books for every legal entity. So all the assets that we have today were lying around in various corp books. We did the consolidation of the assets into one book this January-2011 because all our legal entities were consolidated.
7)     Now given this scenario, if we run the Initial Mass copy as described in point 5 to the tax book only those assets from the corp book will be copied to the tax book which existed in this corp book as of DEC-2009. (This is the standard Oracle functionality). This is not the complete list as only few assets were there in this book as of Dec-2009. Rest of them were in different books
8)     Do we have to create tax books for all the corporate books to achieve what we want to achieve or is there a way that multiple corp book data can be copied to one tax book?

Is it possible in Oracle to Initial mass copy asset data from corp book to tax book in the last fiscal year when the assets did not exist in the corp book as of last fiscal year? Assets were brought to that corp book only this year as part of consolidation

How to validate multiple lines which is exist in the form builder at the same session

Hi All,
we are working on oracle Forms personalization to trigger the message at the point of saving multiple lines rather than requiring each line to be save individually. Currently the oracle form is allowing to user to enter two distinct lines that have same resource and basis type in BOM.
Currently the Oracle form is allowing to enter the duplicate combination and not giving any error message even we enter the same combination of data.
As per the customer requirement, they don’t want to validate the data while creating the records but when they try to save the form, in that case it should validate all the records at a time then need to display the appropriate message.
Customer don’t want to customize the Oracle standard form. Here we have only option to use form personalization or through custom.pll.
Any idea on how to validate multiple lines which is exist in the form builder at the same session as before inserting the record itself need to perform the validations for all the records.

you can write a post script which will do the necessary tasks.
I mean, once you are done with inserting records into these tables, exeute another procedure which will insert these "extra" records, based on some logic.
you may not be able use DB trigger as it may generate mutating error or if you don't write it carefully, it will go into recursive loops as you are refering to same tables.

Tax Code does not exist in the system (T007A)

Hi All
When we try to create a receipt for a particular expense type in ESS Travel & Expenses, we get the follwing error "Tax code Z0 does not exist in the system (T007A)". Upon creating a tax code Z0 it gives the following error "Tax code does not exist in the system (T007A)". When we change the Receipt currency to USD instead of Bristish Pound it gets accepted without the error. It works perfectly fine when expense report created using GUI. The error occurs only when we create the expense report using Portal ESS T&E. I was not able to find anything related to this in the SDN. If any of you could help me out, that would be great.

I came up with a list of things you can try that may help you solve your issue.
a) Check if the field V_706D_B-LAND1 is filled with the home country in the IMG step 'Define Global Settings'. So may I ask you to check. Moreover, if this is not the reason, may I also ask you, if you get the same error when using our backend test transaction PR_WEB_1200? Thank you,
b) Could you please check that you don't have any expense type with value " "(blank) in the tax code field in V_T706B1?

If here it's blank, this must be filled with a tax code. I found this out when I set the field "Input Tax per Travel Expense" then I get a warning "Enter an input tax code for 0% input tax".
The reason for this is that in your system, you don't have a "blank" tax code and it looks for this entry. Please kindly define a tax code in this setting.

I have spent hours on the phone with what I now know is a call center in Texas on this question.
I think Apple could be a little more "hands on" with iBooks Author users, and it should also be pointed out that landscape photos will not display in portrait mode.
In my case, I used gallery widgets to display vertical photos, since they look better in portrait mode.
But instead of simply rotating, the page disappears and a TOC of interactive media appears. The gallery behaves as expected when tapped. This is not what I expected, but since the gallery works, I can live with it.
Right now I have "tickets" telling me to "fix" this "problem or to disable portrait mode.
I don't want to disable portrait mode.
Will Apple accept the books if I tell them this is not an "error?"

Call function which only exists in the target system

Hello,
I have to call the function module BAPI_QUOTATION_CREATEFROMDATA2 from a BI system. Of course, the function module does not exist in the BI system. My problem is now how to create the necessary parameter types for the function call?
I found out that the function module RFC_GET_STRUCTURE_DEFINITION returns me the complete definition for the necessary types but how can I transform this information into a field-symbol or something similar?
Or is there perhaps a different solution which is easier to implement?

I think so, but I believe you don't need all structure, so you could define only structure you need in your program, it's probably faster than to manage dynamically many structure.
Anyway you can create your structure at runtime by field-symbols, there are many post about this argoment.

Unable to Save Asset category while assigning the Corp Book

The Default Rules will have to be set up in the Define Categories form, even if the assets to be
linked to the category are not supposed to depreciate.
One can do the following:
1. Navigate to: Setup > Depreciation > Methods
Set up a 0% flat rate method based on cost with: basic rate: 0 %, adjusted rate 0 %
2. Define the Default Rules for the category by attaching that new depreciation method and also
unchecking the depreciate flag. Save.

I have read the book Final Cut Pro: Visual QuickPro Guide by Lisa Brenneis from cover to cover.
Let me say that I am no expert, far far from it! but I would like to have a book that takes FCP to the next step. A book that gives info on "The Power" of FCP and how to create novel and interesting things.

Tax code does not exist against the proceedure

I have copies TAXINN proceedure and created new ZTAXIN, assigned to country IN. Created tax code through FTXP and maitained rate inFV11 against condition type JIPS. In OB40 GL assigned against the tax code. And also logistic general also assigned the tax code against company code. When i try to post FB60 with Tax code V1 system is throwing the error tax code V1 country IN tax proceedure ZTAXIN doest not exsist.
Can any one help me on this to solve the problem.

Dear:
It looks like that tax code (V1) is created as Output Tax instead of output tax .It means it is applicable only for SD and not for MM. For MM, tax codes should always be created as Input Tax.
If it does not solve your issue then also check customizing settings in

Over here check out whether ZTAXIN has been assigned to IN or not.

How to find which user is in the planning book XYZ?

we are using SCM APO 5.0. and have defined "key-figure-specific Lock" as our locking logic.
I need a program to get all users who are in a special planning book. Normally I can read this information from lock entry list (SM12). But with this locking logic the entry list looks quite different. Has someone an idea?

There is a macro ACT_USER() which returns the user in a particular planning book. You can make it as a directly executable macro and schedule it using mc8e.

hooked up iphone 5 to imac
Updated ios7
updated itunes
downloaded audible.com app and signed in/registered
went to books tab on iphone while still plugged in
manual dowload selected audiobooks on syn audiobooks.
sync and dowload onto iphone
turned off iphone
restarted
audiobooks were under more in music icon on iphone.
Rather long and silly-but worked.Just had to now redownload all my music as it erased music.
Seems you can not manually sync music,and audio books-its one or the other.When you click on,the other goes off.Just had to do it sequentially.What made apple a great company seems to be slowly eroding.
