Copying issues
When copying with my hp1514 the page printed isn't the whole page, it's cutting off the edge? Any way I can change settings etc seems as though it's adding a border or something

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see you are running into some copy issues with your HP Deskjet 1514, when you copy it does not copy the whole page. There are no control panel options to change the Copy settings. Sounds to me like the DJ 1514 needs an alignment. You can perform the using the HP Printer Assistant located on your desktop. (DJ 1514 printer icon).
1. Double click on the HP Printer Assistant
2. Under the Print section, select Maintain your Printer
3. Select the Align Printheads option
Now you can follow the steps listed here: Copy Text or Mixed Documents

Hi,
I have performed a remoted client copy of ECP300 to ECQ system using
SAP_ALL Profile and the client copied successfully. After the client
copy some users are complainting that not all data moved over or there
are some major differences. I know the client copy finished but the
users are saying the client copy is not a exact copy of ECP.Are there
any functional or abap post configuration that needs to happen after
this remote client copy? From the client copy logs, it seem like all
the tables got copied over. Please advise as this is very critical.
I have attached 2 issues reported by users and the client copy log with

What is the volume of data you copied. Also have you followed the best practice of minimal/no activity in the source client.
The dictionary differences seems to be becuase of some SPs not applied in your ECP system yet

We have an issue with Essbase cube copy in EAS (essbase and eas are in version11.1.2.2) . When we copy a cube we expect the access for the users and groups to be also available in the copied cube ie say groupA is assigned read access to cube1 but if we copy cube1 to cube2 we cannot see that groupA is also assigned read access to cube2 . This issue did not happpen in System 9 and this is major issue for us since we rely on the process of taking snapshot of the cube monthly basis and losing the secuirty of the cube when copying is not acceptableAre you copying it within the server / across server?
I am not much familiar with LCM but if you are using it may be I guess you can do it from there.
If LCM cannot hep you, you can achieve it using Maxl as Sh!va said . Take an export of the security, parse it using BATCH (Windows) / SHELL SCRIPT (UNIX) and update the security again (Export will serve as security backup too ).
We had an application way back in v6.5.7 and we did the same way.

File copy issues with Mavericks
Why am I getting a "Item in use" error when I try to copy a file for the first time ( OS 10.9.2 ) The second attempt always happens without an issue. This happens with newly created image files OR already existing files from a server to my computer...
There is more than one Epson 810 model. Is it shown as supported?

Copying data from a result-set does not work as expected.
If I type COMMAND-C, which is the default for OS X, the Table Cell gets openend.
I have to copy the contents with CTRL-C, which is not usefull at all, because one has to stumble accross this issue.
Looking into the Preferences-Pane, there is a shortcut for copying, that is set to COMMAND-C as expected.

I've worked around it by manually editing .sqldeveloper/system/oracle.ide.1.1.0/settings.xml as follows:
I found the delete previous char definition, which initially looked like:

KOB1_Internal Order Copy issue

We have an issue with the report KOB1. In executing the report we give a range of orders as a selection criteria. From the list of orders appear on the screen we select the appropriate orders and copy to the initial screen but it is not copying to the screen. This is the case even if we give a single order number. Please need a solution for this.

GayaniAre you trying to say, that you wish to create a new Internal Order Master with reference to a existing one.
if so, use T-Code KO01 and in the reference part below, do mention existing Internal Order number. you may then proceed with changing Name & your necessary parameters.

I have tried to connect my N81-1 8GB and N 73 using bluetooth on my IBM Thinkpad Laptop. OS is Windows XP SP2.
I tried to do backup using Content copier. While it starts backup-ing the data, it asks the permission to accept. Although i decline it not to do back up (by selecting No in the option), Content Copier tries to do backup the data...After completing the backup (which suppose not to do backup if i decline it to), it generates an error. Please check the attachments for the same. Any help.Thanks for your reply

Hi, I am having a problem downloading all my iPhotos to my iPhone 4. I have copied 86 pic to iPhoto but when i upload to my iPhone/itunes it is only copying 20. I did merge a couple of events together to create one file but this hasn't caused issues in the past. Any ideas how i can recitify.

when u connect ur iphone to ur comuter there is no option where u can transfer photo from iphone to itunes or itunes to iphone
the only work arround to get the photos from iphone to ur computer is by doing the following steps (its a work arround for win computers)
after ur iphone is connected to the computer
click on start>>programs>>acessories>>scanners and camera wizard
follow the prompts !!! -
WD MyBook World Edition Copying Issue
Not sure this is the correct place to post......!
I bought a 1TB White Light NAS to centralise my iTunes and Iphoto Library, mainly just get the suff off my iMac 24" March 2009 hard drive and for future sharing capabilities. No problem at all coping iTunes and iPhoto files to the shared folders on the NAS and iTunes and iPhoto work just fine with the data on the NAS. My issue is, for some reason if i try and copy the data back to my mac (so i can drop onto a regular external drive for backup) i keep getting errors and the copy fails. For instance, i will be copying my iTines library (about 10GB) and it will fail on a random folder with an error of "cannot copy folder X, as folder X already exists) which it obviously doesn't. Then if i try to copy the iPhoto library back to my iMac i get a permission error and it fails. I'm not sure if i have a duff My Book or this is an issue inherent with copying back from a NAS drive. Anyone's insight would be very much appreciated.

Kent.Sometimes using Automator will help get around this. You can simple create an automator app to move items from one location to another then highlight all the folders and files and drag them to the app icon and they will move - sometimes.
Your problem is one that a lot of people including myself have come across. Another method that sometimes works to side step this issue, that seemed to come about when Snow Leopard was released, is to highlight all the files within the folders and move them [not the folders] then you'll have to reconstruct the folder system to re order your files.
Also, If you are able to format the External Drive to MAC OS journaled that seems to cure the issue all together. It seems to have something to do with the fact that the two drives are formatted differently. Something isn't jiving between them. -

I usually make a monthly backup of my iPhoto library to an external drive and did so before going on vacation a few weeks ago. It's always copied with no problems whatsoever. I just came back from vacation and added about 25GB of new photos (long vacation!) and the only thing I did differently with my new imported photos was that I used HoudahGeo to add GPS data to my new photos. I'm not sure if that would cause a problem, but the library seems to be functioning fine when I use it.
I went to make a backup of my iPhoto library to my usual Mac OS Journaled external disk (A Western Digital 3TB 3.5" drive in a Firewire 800 cradle), but the transfer stalled (or at least severely slowed down) at around 1.4GB and the timer went from several hours up to several days. I thought that was strange, so I canceled the transfer. I tried a different disk (a Seagate 320GB drive), but same thing so I went back tried my original drive again. No luck. I tested my drive by copying another large file (iTunes library) and it copied with no problem. Strange, I thought.
I repaired disk permissions on Mac OSX and copied again, but it didn't seem to help. I then repaired disk permissions on iPhoto using the repair menu, but no difference there either. Then I repaired the iPhoto library using the last option on the repair menu, but it didn't seem to help either! It always stalls around 1.4GB and I cancel.
I thought that maybe it was a Finder issue, so in the end I used terminal (cp -R) to copy the library and that worked, but the size of the finished library file is much bigger than what my finder is currently reporting for the original. It's 551GB vs. the original 289GB.
My software is up to date with: Mac OSX Mavericks 10.9.5 and iPhoto 9.5.1.
If somebody can help me, I'd be so grateful! I'm moving back to America soon and want to sell my iMac here and get a new one back home. I need to be able to move this iPhoto library to an external drive since I destroyed my pre-vacation backup when I cancelled my fist copy attempt!
Thanks so much!This is a finder issue, copying from disk to disk is a finder operation.
One way around it is to use a back up app like Chronosync to make the copy for you - that will deal with permissions kludges and so on.
Going forward, copying the whole library every time as a back up is - as I'm sure you've noticed - slow and tedious. Consider Using an app that will do incremental back ups. The first time you run the back up the app will make a complete copy of the Library. Thereafter it will update the back up with the changes you have made. That makes subsequent back ups much faster. Many of these apps also have scheduling capabilities: So set it up and it will do the back up automatically.
Example of such apps: Chronosync - but there are many others. Search on MacUpdate or the App Store -
Scanning, Copying issues with HP deskjet printer 4515
I bought a brand new HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4518 e-All-in-One Printer 2 weeks back and was able to setup the printing facility in the printer quite easily. But I didnt try the scan and copy features. Today when I try to scan a picture, the printer took a very long time and was displaying the message "Scanning in progress" but really nothing happened. Same is the case with copying as well.
I did try the web scan feature from my printer's webpage (I have connected my laptop and the printer through WiFi), but that also didnt help.

I read your post about your Deskjet Ink Advantage 4518 not scanning or copying correctly for you. I have a couple of suggestions for you to try. If they do not help, I'd then recommend calling HP directly to see what your options are for a replacement or a trade in.
1. Update the Firmware: Getting the Latest Firmware and Product Updates
2. Power reset:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
3. Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.

New upgrade Lion 10.7.1 has not fixed copying issues
I was happy to hear that Apple has listed fixing the problem with file transfer. However when I copied some songs into iTunes the songs are still greyed out and is not copying to the library which is located on my external drive using a Firewire 800 connection. Please Apple fix this soon!
Another tidbit here. When I came in today, it was dropping connection every 10-15 seconds . I walked around the floor with it, as I was watching the terminal , came back to wear I was sitting, and now the connection is stable and hasn't dropped but the response time is all over the board , from 1.500 ms to 8.079 ms.
While I was walking around, it dropped and reconnected a few times. The response time was horrible.
Now I can walk around with my Windows laptop doing the same thing, and it is stable.
Hope things things I experienced can help pinpoint the issue. Here is what I have logged today:

When saving .tif or .eps files, it usually erases the last 2, 3 or 4 letters, why? ("as copy" issue)

this is a question i wanted to ask the last couple of years:
it doesnt depend on CS5 or CS4, i guess nearly all newer versions
of photoshop erase some letters at the end of a filename, when saving as tif or eps, and the file was a photoshop .psd layer file before.
i am working with many masks, so when i finish a psd layer file and want to save it as tiff (without layers and path) for sending out to client,
i press "apple+alt+S" and the "save as" window checks "copy" as default, of course, i want to preserve the original filename without "..copy"
so i uncheck "save as copy", and then there are some letters missing, i have to manually replace the letters by the original ones.
thats very awkward and time consumptive, is there a better workaround, you could suggest?
is this my fault, maybe wrong workflow? what could i change, in order to avoid photoshop erasing letters in filenames, when saving?
what could i do, that "save as copy" wont appear anymore? i am always saving in another folder than the layer file folder,
but i can only select the folder after photoshop has checked "save as copy" by itself very quick, as it thinks i want to save the tiff file
into the .psd layer file folder...
i am usually manually editing the filename in the finder later,
as it has been very important for myself to stay with the original filename
as clients use the images in indesign, so it can auto-update, if the filename is the same as before.

i am dealing with this problem within 1 or 2 years now, i guess.
photoshop always shortens my original filename, when i press "save as"
i am experiencing this problem on 3 macs, on different locations
(in my homeoffice and at another office i work freelance) (very different macs and photoshop versions (from CS3 to CS5)
like:
original filename "vitra_woodenchair_hires_cmyk_original.psd" will be shortened to "vitra_woodenc copy.TIF"
i have to edit the files after that manually in the finder, as i send it back to clients, and they need their original filenames.
i also wonder why photoshop cs5 always wants to save a copy -
i never needed a copy of a file in my life, so why "save as copy" please?
i guess my problem is depending more or less only on the "save as copy" thing,
as it looks like, that the letters "copy" are erasing the end of my filename.
is there anything i can do, that photoshop wont suggest me a "save as copy" ever again?
can i switch it off?
your suggestion of scripts is nice, i doubt, i am able to install a script at different macs, i never ve been dealing with
scripts before, it seems to be too complicate or it just sounds complicate to me, as i dont have specific
file save destinations, i save at different places on different mac servers in the mentioned offices. also i save
different kind of file types, sometimes psd, tiff, eps, jpg, png and all others...
i try deleting .plist now and report back

We are using XI 3.0 on Windows and MSSQL platform, i have made system copy sucessfully from production system with process of DB restore for ABAP and Java Import, the new server is up and running both abap and java.
Problem : In the newserver when i execute the tcode sxmb_ifr it takes me to production server url and not the new server hostname url.
when i tried the http://newserver hostname.com:50000 it works fine. but from this url except home page every other link like exchaneprofile, SLD,IR and ID links still points to the production server host name.
Please look at the following post installation activities i have performed till now in new serverand please guide where else i have to change the host name in the new server.
Note: i did not cange the logical system assignment in scc4, beacuse i was not sure about the other problems we may face after directly assigning new logical system to the productive client in new server.

The properties must be changed once - afterwards the URL to the exchange profile and all other URLs should become valid.
The key is therefore to change the exchange profile. Try please the to access the exchange profile by using the ip address or the fully
qualified name of the new server http://<newserver>:<port>exchangeProfile/connection.jsp
