Copying links in safari in iOS 8 no longer works

At first I thought it was me but no. If I try to copy a link in Safari using the Copy item or by specifically selecting the link and copying it I get nothing. I use this feature a lot so it's pretty annoying.
I am running iOS 8 on an iPad 2. I am really not happy with the performance of iOS 8.

I am not sure if this is the answer, but I was trying some things to fix some of the iOS 8 issues I was having. One of the things I tried is to reset the network settings. And now I can copy from Safari. Disclaimer, I am not sure if this is what fixed the problem but could very well be.
To reset the network settings, go to Settings>Reset>Reset Network Settings
This wipes out all the network settings, so make sure you have your network passwords handy.

Linking Dropbox to iWork ios apps isn't working

pages and numbers have an option to link dropbox to the document picker
YOu our are supposed to click on more - manage content providers - dropbox

Safari Javascript on iPad2 no longer works 8.2 and 8.3

Since updating myiPad2 to 8.2 and later 8.3, javascript elements in websites viewed with Safari and Chrome no longer work. I can successfully view/use these same websites on another iPad with an older IOS.
Here's what have tried so far:
-soft reset (home+power)
-clear safari cache/website data
-forget network
-toggle javascript on and off
-every combination of the above
-upgrade to 8.3 and repeat all of the above
Does anyone have anything to add that I could try?

@sean0826 -- this is why you don't use Java menus. Even javascript menus are a bad idea; you need to have a secondary menu system ANYTIME you have a menu system that requires a plugin or scripting to be active. NOT EVERYONE browses with that stuff on.
The only thing you can do for now is FTP to your site and add in static menus (like we did in the "old days" at the bottom of the page; or rip out the Java Menus and install static or CSS versions.
BTW where are you rmenus supposed to be. I have opera, safari, ff, and a few others. they all look the same. So if that's true, it's the plugin that's the problem, not safari.
In Opera Pogo.com works. java loads, the game is there. It does have some drawing issues but not surprised.
In Safair Pogo works fine. Just played a game of chess.

My iphone 4s mails, safari, facebook and apps no longer work all of a sudden

I got this problem from yesterday. When I open mails or safari or any applications they would close all of sudden.
even my messages no longer works and I can't send a text to anyone.
When I go to settings everything seems fine and ios 6 is up to date, in the mail and contact settings though it says they are synching somewhere.
It shouldn't be by my macbook pro, cause there was never such a problem plus in my itunes on my mac I didn't check the box for synching mail and contacts.
The new thing that I've done yesterday is that I set up a hp touch desktop with win8 in which I set up mail app and google chrome account.
on google chrome it said it would sync my bookmarks and .. from all other devices.
Could that be the reason that my iphone is so cracked now?
It is kind of nonsense though.

I know for a fact apple doesn't want carriers fixing their phones. My carrier even warned me that they can't fix the phones only apple stores can fix them. Well guess what I just wasted my whole day by driving to an apple store they "fixed" my phone I got home and it started doing the same **** things they didn't fix **** now I have to waste even more time by finding a ups store to ship my phone to apple so that means I'm going to be out of a phone for over a week because they never fixed it or replaced it like they should have. I'm so upset with apple that if this new phone does the same things were dropping apple and are going to samsung. I wasted 4 hours driving and $40 in gas and 6 hours of my time for nothing. Apple needs to put in more store around the country if their not going to let the carriers fix the phones them selves.

After upgrading my iPad to iOS 6 some of the music playlists from iOS 5 no longer work, because they are not available on iOS 6, eg. recently added, recently played. Should I delete them?

Linked cells in same workbook are no longer working

I created a workbook with multiple worksheets, with some cells containing data linked from one sheet to the next - there is no linking to external data.
The linking was done by the copy and paste link option and locking the cells in the destination cell.
Various versions have been created of this workbook all containing data relevant to the user.
The workbooks are all located on a large corporate shared network across many locations state-wide. These workbooks have not been saved as macro enabled, nor are the workbooks shared.
All workbooks have been used extensively for some time with success, until very recently.
Recently the linked cells have ceased to work, and in some the data validation lists have failed to be available.
There are hundreds of these copies now in use; and I have begun the laborious task of again data linking in each individually saved workbook, only to find the link does still not work.
I have tried unlocking the destination cell, linking the source and destination cells again and then re-locking the destination cell, but to no success. Even the master template saved in the corporate shared network location is affected.
Interestingly I found a copy located on our own campus shared network, and this one has all the linked cells still working fine. This leads me to think the problem is somehow associated network or server?
Is someone able to enlighten me? I need to take this issue to our IT if it is. or is there something very simple I am overlooking?

My iPod 5th generation iOS 8 32bytes is not bringing me to my home screen and is unresponsive, and gives me the constant apple logo each time I try to turn it on. My iPod is out of warranty, so I was wondering how much money would it cost for me to return my iPod back to Apple for a new one?

Apple does not have a trade-in program. You can either try and restore your iPod, or you can try and sell it yourself. In some locations, Apple does provide for a recycling program, but the amount provided for devices is quite low.

IOS 8 no longer works with 2012 honda accord

I upgraded my iPhone 5 to iOS 8.0.2. When I connect via USB, I no longer am able to use my car (2012 Honda Accord) controls to play music. Also, while it does connect via BlueTooth, making phone calls is very difficult, it takes much longer to connect to HandsFreeLink than in the past. I have deleted the BlueTooth connection and reestablished a new pairing. Still have sluggish behavior. Is this an iOS 8.0.2 issue? Or a Honda HandsFreeLink issue? Both?

I have a similar issue where I cannot get email on an iPad running iOS 8.0.2. With the exception for some odd reason emails came thru between the hours of 22:00 and 00:30 last night. This morning, same thing, no emails showing up on the iPad, it just spins. I'll have to check to see if calendar entries work.

Safari 1.3.1 no longer working... help!

I was able to use my Safari 1.3.1 this morning and then it all of a sudden stopped working.
I deleted the old ap, prefs, cache, etc and reinstalled. Reinstalled java update. Tried logging out and back in. Repaired all permissions, restarted ad nasueum with no change whatsoever.
I'm at my wits end. Any help would be greatly appreciates.

Can you clarify what you mean by 'stopped working' please? Did it start crashing when you tried to load it? Did it stop loading sites never complete loading them? Were any error messages generated and if so what was the exact text?
It simply no longer launched. Nothing happened. I've used SpeedSafari before with 1.3.1 with no problems, but when I reinstalled I disabled it. I'm still using 1.2 now.
I'm having a similar problem with Safari. This all started after I booted up in OS 9.2.2 from a partition on the hard drive. Now, Safari won't start up. The icon in the dock oscillates like it's trying to start up, then just stops, nothing.
Aha!! Yes! I actually had to restart and boot into OS 9.2.2 (to do something), and now that you mention it, after I restarted and booted back into OS 103.9, that's when Safari stopped working.
Though the thing that perplexes me is that I have my OS 9.2.2 on a completely different drive (physically- no partitioning) than my OS 10.3.9.
Strange.
Anyone know why that process would disable Safari 1.3.1?

Imap for iOS is no longer working

I use imap settings to read my iCloud email on my iOS devices. I do it instead of standard icloud settings in order to send my mail from a custom address. It has worked fine until this afternoon some time when I started getting an error message that says "Cannot Get Mail. The user name of password is incorrect" when I check my mail. I know the user name and password are correct because when I enter an invalid password I get an error. Here are my settings:
host name: imap.mail.me.com
user name: icloud account without .icloud.com suffix
SSL: on
Authentication: password
Server port: 993
Any clues?

I think I found out the problem. It got better by itself later that day, but started up again today. It suddenly occurred to me that it may be because Apple requires application specific passwords to use iCloud now. Sure enough, using one of those passwords makes iCloud IMAP mail work for me again.

Links sent to me as iMessage no longer work

Up until about a week ago I could sent and receive links to websites. Now the only links I can use in iMessage on my phone and on iPad are those I have sent to other people any link they send to me go no where.

I don't know, I just use a very simple Applescript to enclose the clipboard in tags that allow the user to launch Script Editor from the browser:
set the clipboard to "<a href=applescript://com.apple.scripteditor?action=new>Click here to launch Script Editor</a>.
<pre class=COMMAND>" & return & (the clipboard) & return & "</pre>"
And it wraps the script on the clipboard on PRE tags so the structure is preserved. Neither of those work now.

IE11 still has some known issues. I reverted mine to IE10 and have its running ok.

Easy Link 1.6 no longer works and latest version states will not work with my router

I have the WRT54G router (version 8.00.2 firmware) and the Easy Link Software I got with it no longer works correctly (version 1.6), saying I am not connected to the internet even though I clearly am connected. (I theorize that it tries to connect by pinging Linksys and I cannot ping Linksys using any method, so I think Linksys no longer accepts pings.) I downloaded the newest version, thinking it would work, and the forum states it will only work with a few routers that are more recent (I bought mine in Jan 2008.) Am I out of luck, with no verion working correctly? I appreciated the information that was found in the Easy Link Advisor software that I no longer have.

You are a legend!! I have spent countless hours uninstalling, reinstalling itunes, playing with firewall settings, reading articles on this problem!! I only have to un-sync my iphone 5 and then the airplay icon magically appeared!!! Maybe I have too many devices syncing via wi-fi, or maybe it is the Iphone syncing??
Whatever - one step and now I can enjoy my music through my house again!

After installing iOS 7.1.1, I can no longer send links from Safari using my Yahoo account

I frequently send links from Safari, and as my Yahoo is my default email, it obviously sends from Yahoo. However, since installing iOS 7.1.1, those messages end up in my outbox, and I get a message saying "a copy of the message has been placed in your outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." I am able to change my sending email to Gmail or my company domain, though, and the message will go through without issue. But changing the sending account to a different Yahoo account generates the same failure message.
Is this a Yahoo problem (which wouldn't surprise me)? Or is it an iOS 7.1.1 bug (which also wouldn't surprise me)? Anyone else having the problem?
For the record, I have rebooted the iPad Air 128GB. I have tried this on multiple wifi connections (AT&T Uverse at the office, Time Warner cable at home, blazing fast local fiber company at the gym). The only thing I have not done is remove & reinstall the Yahoo accounts. I thought I'd pick the collective brains of the community first.

Addendum
Sending straight from the mail client in any/all of the Yahoo accounts works just fine. The bug just seems to happen when sending links from Safari.
