Copying Plan Assessment Version from V0 To Z1

Hi All,
Need assistance in how to Copy & run plan assessment in a different version fom V0 to Z1
I have copied tried copying  planning data (KP06) using transaction KP97, however it did not transfer the assessments we had established via KSU9 in version 0 for our building and IT.
Can any one help me in copying plan assessment version from one to another.
Thanks In advance
Arun

Hi,
This is standard SAP behaviour (read note 15966); you have to execute the assessment cycles in the target version separately.

    Hi experts,
Our simulation Version is 002 and Active Version is 000
We need to copy planning..etc  from version 002 to version 000, how to do. Explain me  elaborate
    Regards,

    Hi Moon,
There are two things in Copy Version Management.
    1) Copy the master and transaction data from active to simulation version.
Transaction - /SAPAPO/VERCOP in this you can not copy from Simulation to Active.
    2) Merge the Planning Versions.
Transaction - /SAPAPO/VERMER in which you can copy the planning area keyfigures from simulation version to Active Version.

create a new planning package with characteristic Version = 2
(if you have defined verison 1 also on the planning level, you should create a new planning level)
then create a planning method under Copy with version 0 as source...

  • Error in Step Copy Plan version in Process Chain

    Hi all,
We have  step in Process Chain called 'Copy Plan version'.This stet is getting failed quite frequently. I just repeat it and the error is getting solved. I just wanted to know that is there any permanent solution for that. We cant afford to getting it failed that frequently.
I dont have any idea about this step. Can you please provide me information about this step and a possible remedy aw well.
    The error messaage is :
Selection accesses data that is currently locked; user
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE.
    Please suggest.
    Regards
    sunny

This is due to "Selection accesses data that is currently locked; user" , there is another process from another process chain which locked the object at the same time frame , so due to that this step is failing
you can increase waittime 30mins(example)before this Step Copy Plan version executes in the process chain.
OR, change the schedule time for this process chain

    Suraj Sir,
I am Slowly Learning from People you who knows the Subject very well, I tried to tell you what I did in My system,
in My Planning methods I have these Following,
    Enter planning data
    Display planning data
    Copy
Using Copy Function in Planning method I "create parameter set" , I see Settings, Value Fields, I gave 1 to 12 periods for 2009 and version as "0" in Reference Data, and saved it, I do see this new Planning method under Copy ,
Later in The main Planning Level with the 2009 Planning package , I did change parameter Version "1 " and executed  (I don't see new Planning method Under Enter Planning Data), the usual "Quantity". But Shows nothing Just Blank Columns with Field names .
I tried in Test mode and Update mode, with "0" version and "1" version in the  Main Planning Package (I do have values in version "0", Planning package for 2009 which I want to Copy to version "1" --->2009)

    Hi Mrunal
You can copy the charcterstics form one info structure to another
please use transaction type MC21 and give thre reference info structure
in case of the single cvharcterstics which is different, you can then modify in the new created structure
    hope this helps

  • Exchange Rate Type not working during plan assessment in T Code KSUB

    Hello Experts
We had different exchange rate types created for different plan versions. We had Exchange Rate Type Z1 for Plan Version 01.
We had maintained the same in Planning settings for the fiscal year 2011.
We had created a new plan assessment cycle with version 1.
Now when we execute assessment cycle it is not using the exchange rate from 01/01/2011. Instead it is selecting the rate from 01/01/2010.
Is there something wrong when we copied fiscal year 2011 from 2010 for version 01.
Request your inputs and help on this.
    Thanks
    Satya Alapati

    Hi Ajay
    Thanks for the information.
We had not maintained the value date for any of our versions since we keep changing the rates for every period and wish to have the system pick the latest rate for the period.
It has been the case in earlier years also.
    Thanks

  • Copying plan allocation

    hello
I would like to built some scenario in CO.
I have 2 versions of planning.
Version 0 is for plannig on CCtr and Internal Orders. On this version I make distribution and assessment of planed data from CCtr to Internal Orders.
On version 1 I want to have copied planned data from version 0. So I have done copying data on CCtr from version 0 to 1 and on orders from 0 to 1. That almost ok. The problem which I have is during copying data from version 0 to 1 especially on orders (KO14) allocated data are not copied. How can I change configuration of CO module to get allocated data on version 1?

    Hello,
Please try clicking the Settings button in T.code KO14 and ticking the option 'Copy detailed planning for Cost elements'
    Field help is as below...
    Copy costings?
Specifies whether detailed planning (costing) is to be copied from the reference version into the new version.
You may only copy the detailed planning if the following requirements have been met:
    1. Reference and target fiscal years must be identical.
    2. You must copy all periods, that is, you may not restrict your selection to individual periods.
    3. Exchange rate type and value date of the reference and target versions must be identical.
    4. You must copy on a 1:1 copy basis. This means that you must copy according to the reference.
    Thanks,
    VR

  • Copy planning for cost center Runtime error

    Dear Gurus,
I am running KP97 to copy planning for cost center.
but I got following runtime error:
    ===================================================================
    Runtime Errors         DYN_CALL_METH_CLASS_NOT_FOUND
    Exception              CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_CLASS
           Occurred on     07.01.2009 at 13:21:25
    What happened?
    Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLGUMD " had to be terminated because one of the
    statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
    What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
    error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
    date.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
. The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_CLASS',
    was neither
caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure
    "USER_REFRESH_RE_EA" "(FORM)"
Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
to occur, the running program was terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
Class "CL_REEX_COPL_MASTERDATA_CHECK" was chosen during dynamic method call,
    but could not be found.
    =====================================================================
can anybody give me a hint how to solve the problem?
    B.R.
    George
Hi all, I searched the SAP notes, and found there is one note NOTE_0000632335 related to copy planning, I installed the note by TCode snote. the KP97 can run now, but for the IDES controling area 1000, I tried to test run copy version 0, period 1 to 12 from Fiscal year 2003 to 2004.
there are many records with error.
shall I ignore the error , unselect the test run and continue?
does anyone have similar experience with IDES R/3 4.71? why cannot I carry out all steps in online document for IDES?
    B.R.

Edited by: George Pan on Jan 7, 2009 11:39 PM

Hi I checked the error with copying plan data. it's all because of 'plan data already exists'.
so I just ignore the error and continue.
    thanks!

  • Can not copy planning application in EAS?

the copy option is blanked out for planning application, but fine with other applications.
this is 11.1.2.3, not see this previous version.

You can not copy planning application from EAS (Essbase part).. As the application registration is different for Planning and Essbase only applications. Thats why will not be able to register the planning application from EAS as well...
If you really want to copy Planning application...
Then LCM, Copyapp.bat/sh can help you ...You need to create new Planning application (Not just essbase part of Planning app).
    Cheers!

  • Deleting a Simulation version from APO

    Hi Experts,
We are planning to delete a Simulation Version from our APO system. Till now, we had jobs to copy Active Version to Simulation version. So, at present, the siluation version has all the data which the active version has- which basically means that there is a lot of data that has to be deleted, before we can delete the simulation version.
Is there a best practice around 'Deletion of Sim Version'? If not, on the basis of your experience, can you please suggest how to go about it?
    Your inputs are highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Kunal

    Hi Kunal,
Simulation versions are used in many business processes and depending upon your business requirements can be manipulated daily, weekly, monthly, etc.
You can delete a simulation version manually in /SAPAPO/MVM, with transaction /SAPAPO/VERDELLD or program /SAPAPO/VERSION_DELETE_LC_DB.
I don't think you have to delete any transactional data. Just don't use it on version 000.
    Best Regards,
    Mike

  • APIs for achieving CJ9BS "Copy Planning" transaction.

    Hello,
I have to achieve the functionality of CJ9BS "Copy Planning" from version 0 to version 2. I can achieve this by using CJ9BS transaction. Would you guys know of an API that can do the same.
    Thanks for all your help.
    Best Regards
    Sumit.

    Hi Sreekanth
It is so strange...No, I've not activated actual values for Target version X. In customizing TC OKEQ the Actuals flag is not checked on Target version X.
Could you explain me why I've actual values in Target version X  only for  those WBS elements  I've put in the CJ9BS transaction?
    Thanks

  • How to "roll back" SAP APO PPDS planning batch run from infeasible batch mid-point to before start of planning batch run?

    Hi Experts,
We are investigating if any SAP customer that implemented SAP APO PPDS has ever attempted to establish a "roll back" of the SAP APO PPDS created supply plan to a defined point before the start of the SAP APO PPDS planning batch run?
We have a situation where - in the middle of the planning batch run - randomly or intermittent the batch run hangs or runs a step for multiple hours that normally, at most days, takes only a few minutes to run.  In a situation like this, the supply plan is not in a state where customer sales orders can be promised  (using GATP CTP) or planned orders can be converted to production orders and published to SAP ECC, etc since the plan may be capacity infeasible or simply partial or incomplete.   To not hold the business operations hostage to wait resuming operations (promise customer sales orders, convert and release and execute orders to transfer, deliver, produce, or purchase) for hours or days, we need to find a way back to the original plan right before the nightly PPDS batch planning job started.
We already close all the queues from ECC to APO, thus, no CIF traffic from ECC to APO.  We also shut down the customer sales order feed into ECC as normal process for duration of the APO PPDS batch planning run.  Thus, functionally,  we are theoretically in a situation to simply go back to a PPDS and active planning version save prior to the run.  Yet, many more technical and BASIS-related questions remain on how to roll back to a state where the plan was not compromised.
This inquiry is to learn if any other SAP customer has ever established a process to roll back SAP APO PPDS to a previous point in time supply plan to resume operations?  Whatever the reasons are, be it after a failed  batch run, or any time during the normal interactive plan day.
Additional information about our design and plan:
    1.  We have a two year horizon supply plan in PPDS
    2.  We only publish to ECC 14 days worth of planned orders, stock transfer requirements, and purchase requirements
    3.  We convert planned orders to production orders and release production orders in ECC 2 days before first operation starts
    4.  We convert PR's to PO's and STR's to STO's in ECC  2 days before execution (ship or submit to vendor)
Any indication where a SAP customer has developed and uses a process to roll back an SAP APO PPDS- planned supply plan to an earlier point in time or version would be helpful to know.
    Regards,
    Manimaran M.

    Hi  Manimaran,
Saving in Simulation means in DS board when you click on save it provides you option to save sim version or adopt to active version. If you copy to inactive version you cannot copy back  trasaction data specially PPDs orders back to active version again while if you save in simulation you can adope it to active version at any point of time. YOu can adopt simulation version changes to active version using T-code /SAPAPO/CDPSS0
Copying to active version means you copy data from version 000 to some other active version while here results are kept simulation,
