Copying podcasts to ipod from library

When i update my ipod it will not copy my recent purchase of the ricky gervais podcast from audible.com, stating that 'this ipod my only contain content from two audible accounts'. As i only have one audible account I find this mystifying. I am able to play the podcast, just not copy it.

Use itunes of course, make sure everything is checkmarked, to add any library to your iPod you have to with itunes. You can make a folder or find one of your librarys in a folder. Then, go to "file" on itunes then you can take it from there.

  • HT204207 Sync podcasts to iPod from iTune in full via USB, no streaming, no WiFi download, good old USB sync transfer.

I want to sync my podcast from my MacBook to my iPod via USB. I do not want to download them individually over WiFi due to a large number or podcasts.
I do not want to stream as I listen to my podcasts offline. I want my podcasts to sync like they use to. I just want all the podcasts that are on my MacBook on my iPod, not in a list ready to stream or ready to download.  I want the actual podcast to copy to my iPod in full via USB. I don't understand why apple have chosen to take this option away. I do not want to covert all my podcasts to "music", because then I don't get the advantage of the podcast app where I can listen to podcasts a 1.5x or 2x speed, among other features.

  • Can't copy podcast to Ipod after latest Itunes update

I have an Ipod Nano.  I just recently updated Itunes with whatever the latest update was.  I subscribe to several podcasts and I downloaded the latest episodes.  When I went to copy the latest episodes to my Ipod, an error message popped up telling me that the podcasts could not be copied to my Ipod because they couldn't be played on my Ipod.  Why am I having this issue?

On your iPod, go to the Video menu, then go to your video settings and turn TV to Always Ask or off.

  • How to copy podcasts not in iTunes library from iPod to iTunes

When I was a Windows pc user, I had a great free program to copy music & podcasts back into an iTunes library, but now that I own a MacBook Pro, I am lost. There have to be (hopefully free) programs in Mac OS to do this. I have several podcasts that got deleted on my Mac library but as of now still exist on the iPod Touch 4g. Can anyone help?

  • Copy music to iPod from multiple Macs

Can anyone tell me how to copy tracks from different computers in the household to one iPod?

Put the iPod into manually managed mode from the summary tab for the device when it is connected to iTunes. Then drag and drop at will.
Note that with the current build - 10.6.1.7 - you should let each transfer complete before adding any new tracks as the queuing system appears to be broken at present.
For preference however I would keep the iPod synced with one library and import any other content into that library over the network. Manual management is, in my opinion, more effort than setting up a few playlists to organise your selections for the device.

  • Movies not copying to any iPod from iTunes

I am suddenly unable to copy movies to my iPods. I manually manage them due to the size of my library. I've tried copying movies to a 60G Video iPod, and to a 3rd Generation iPod Nano (this nano actually is brand new from the store today, replacing a defective one). Music copies fine. But when I try to copy movies, it gets about halfway through then just stops. I've reinstalled iTunes and that didn't help. These movies are all purchased through the iTunes store and I've never had trouble with them in the past. Any ideas?

It might help to force iTunes to renew all the artwork on the ipod. Disable the option to include artwork, sync, then re-enable it & sync again.
iTunes seems to cope if at least one of the tracks on the album contains art however the Cover Flow & Album views on the iPod only work if they find artwork for track 1, and the now playing screen needs artwork embedded in each track.
To find all the tracks in your libray that don't have artwork use http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts13.php for Macs.
If you're using a search engine to locate suitable images they should be square, 200x200 pixels or above and ideally borderless to give the best results in the various menus on the iPod.

  • Updating iPod from Library--not working?

How is I have 400 songs in my library and only 275 on my iPod, even after updating? Appreciate any help!

It could be a number of things, files that are in a format that's not iTunes compatible or your iPod set not to update unchecked songs for instance. Have a look at this article and see if anything in it fits your circumstances: "Songs are not copied to iPod" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93861

  • Unable to copy podcasts to iPod (mini)

Hello, I recently had a drive crash on the system I used
iTunes on. It was a total loss, so I wasn't able to salvage
my iTunes directory (no big deal, only podcasts were in there).
I installed iTunes on another system I have and hooked up my
iPod. It sees the stuff that was already on there just fine.
(I put it in manual sync so as not to lose the stuff on it
since some of it is no longer available). The problem is that
I can't get any of the new stuff onto the iPod now. I re-
subscribed to all the old podcasts (and a few new ones) but
when I right click on the iPod it no longer has the 'sync'
option. So I copied the tracks manually (dragged and dropped)
but they don't show up under either the podcasts list nor the
music list. The space available decreases (and space used
increases of course), but they are no where to be found.
How the HE(double hockey sticks) do I see it?
    Thanks for your time!

  • Copying of Hidden Text from Library

    Hi All,
In my plugin, I have used hidden text. I have inserted hidden text in a text frame at required indexes in a text.
Now, I create a Library and drag the text frame to the library, the frame appears to be added to the library correctly. I then drag that frame from the library to a document, the new frame in the document has the correct text but does NOT have the hidden text.Currently I am using InDesing CS3 SDK on MAC(Tiger).
I have looked into the Hidden Text sample and found a NOTE as follows:
NOTE:HiddenText data currently does not round trip through INX in CS2, hence it won't work with features that depend on INX, such as snippets, asset libraries, save backwards. We will add this support in our next SDK update.
    Any help will be appreciable.

    Hi Colin,
Try following the next steps in Tx. VOTXN:
    1. Delivery --> Header (Flag) --> Icon Text Types: create your text type in the VBBK object. Let's say Z01D - Text1Delivery
    2. As the text types for delivery and billing are in the same object, you need to create (same as point 1) a second text. Let's say Z01B - Text1Billing
    3.  Delivery --> HEader (Flag) --> Icon 'Change':
3.1. Copy the text procedure '02' to 'Z02' to make the needed changes.
3.2. Select your text procedure Z02 - Delivery Header and click 'Text ID in Textprocedure': add your Z01D text type without
                  access sequence.
    4. Billing Doc. --> Header (Flag) --> Icon 'Change'
4.1. Copy the text procedure '03' to 'Z03' to make the needed changes.
4.2. Select your text procedure Z03 - Billing Header and click 'Text ID in Textprocedure': add your Z01B text type without
access sequence (we need to create the access sequence before assign here).
4.3. Go back to Access Sequence folder:
                   4.3.1. Create a new access sequence, let's say 9001.
4.3.2. Select your access sequene 9001 and click 'Access Sequence for Text ID's': add at first position (10) Text
                             Object VBBK, and ID Z01D
4.4. Come back to 'Text ID in Texprocedure' (point 4.2) and assign access sequence 9001 to your Z01B text.
    5. Finally assign in 'Text procedure assignment' folder, your delivery type document and your billing tupe document to the Z02 and Z03 text procedures created.
Please let me know should it works.
    Best regards,

  • Failure to copy to the Ipod from iTunes

I get an error message saying "attempting to copy to the disk "MY Ipod" failed. An unknown error occurred (-69)...can anyone help????

I am posting a possible solution to all these problems I and so many of you have said you've experienced. I think I had two things working against me:
    1) I did not have a 2.0 USB port when trying to update my ipod to version 1.2. I think this effected the connection and iTunes ability to recognize my iPod.
Anyway, I put in a new USB 2.0 card in my computer, giving me new ports off the mother board, and my connection and update worked.
    2) I was not giving it enough time. After I installed the USB card and everything I tried to update my iPod a couple of times, but still had a long slow stall that I did not wait through. I kept at it though and a few days later I set it up to update and left to go out to dinner. Hours late I came back and found things different. I used windows to disconnect my iPod and then noticed a dark "working" bar on my iPod. It was finally updating the device. I waited a while unitl it was finished and then diconnected and ever since then I've got version 1.2 on the iPod and things are working better.
So, my advice: check your USB ports and then give it a few hours.
I really hope this works for you. I worked on this problem for two months and I'm so glad it finally came through. I wish Apple would post some more resolutions that are better than mine.
    Good luck,
    Galahad

  • I NEED SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO COPY MUSIC FROM IPOD TO LIBRARY.help:(

My computer crashed and i lost all my music. i read the last topic (the girl has a similar problem to me) so i tried and tried to follow the instructions given to her, but i found it too intense and confusing.
i would like someone to explain the simplest way of transferring music from my Classic to my itunes 7. i desperatley need help on this. iv spent hours on this site trying to make sense of it all but i cant! please help me. I will be very grateful to whoever can help me!!!!
    From, confused and helpless, Isobel.

Hopefully this isn't too intense but you do need to decide what method you want to use at which point it gets simpler. For instance if you pick a utility to make the transfer you carefully read the help pages for the one you choose. If you decide to do it manually you carefully read the article on manual transfer. Take it a paragraph at a time. Each of the blue links will take you to a help page or a web page with more information. Take it slowly and don't panic, there's no need to post continually either, we are all just users like yourself here and you have to wait until someone had free time to help out. Posting every 4 or 5 minutes won't help.
1). First of all you have to get your iPod safely connected to your computer with losing anything. If it is set to update automatically you'll get a message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
2). Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    iPodCopy Mac and Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
3). Finally - Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • I got a new iPod nano 7th gen., but when I tried downloading a video from my iTunes library a message popped up that said: Some of the videos in your iTunes library cannot be copied to your iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod.

I got a new iPod nano 7th gen, but when i tried downloading a video from my iTunes library a message popped up that said: Soem of the videos in your iTunes library were not copied to yor iPod because they cannot be played on this iPod. What should I do?

I kept having a similar problem - 3 out of the 10 videos I had on iTunes wouldn't sync. They were in the right format and I KNEW they worked on my iPod because I'd RECORDED them on my iPod. I finally figured out what to do! Go to the movies in your iTunes library. Click on one that does not sync. Click on "Advanced" at the top of iTunes and choose "Create iPod or iPhone version". Once that's finished, be sure you delete the old version so you don't keep getting the error (or have 2 copies of the same video) and sync. This should eliminate the problem. At least it did for me!
