Copying songs from iTunes to a CD to play in car

I am trying to burn a playlist of songs which I purchased in iTunes onto a CD so that I can play it in my car.
I have tried twice, but after had two failed attempts. Got an error message at the end : Disc failed to burn ..Error 4450.
Can someone please tell me how I can burn my iTunes Playlist to a CD for playing in the car, or any other CD player for that matter?
I think I did it once before but I don't remember how I did it.
I did the usual: selected my Playlist,  went to File, Burn CD and it seemed to be burning, but in the end got error message.
I have Audio CD selected in Preferences.
thanks!!!!
PS: the burn button is not visible even though I have the playlist on the left side bar selected

You have to create a playlist first, then click on the "Burn" button in the top right corner. Check the Apple Support pages for more details.
EDIT: And check the settings in the "Preferences > Advanced > Burning" tab.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

  • Cant copy songs from itunes to ipod

I have a new computer and installed itunes and music.  However when I connect my ipod it shows up but I cannot transfer songs from itunes to it.  What is the cause of the problem and possible solution?
    Mike

It's because your iPod can only be synced to one computer at a time unless you enable the Manually manage music and videos option from under your iPod's summary tab. However, this method of syncing is much different from having iTunes automatically sync content for you.
So in order to sync your iPod with the new iTunes you'll need to copy the music from your iPod over to your new PC and then erase and sync it.  See this older post from another forum member Zevoneer on different ways to copy music from your iPod back to your PC.

  • DLed song from iTunes and it won't play...no error messages

I downloaded two songs from iTunes the other day. One plays fine along with all of my existing music in my library, but the other one simply won't play. No error messages, nothing. It just won't play. This is the only song in my library with this issue.
What are my options? Any ideas?

You're welcome, and thanks for the points. They should either give you another download or a refund.

  • I can not copy songs from itunes on my iphone 4s.

it works from laptop to iphone. but not from PC to iphone. both under windows. i have activated both computer. any idea?

    Hello Solid Buck,
Thank you so much for providing the details about the duplicate song issue you are experiencing.  It sounds like you would like to remove the duplicate songs that will not play on your iPhone, but when you connect it to iTunes, iTunes only shows you one copy of the song on your iPhone.
In this situation, I recommend deleting the individual songs that do not play directly from your iPhone.  I found the steps to do this on page 61 of the iPhone User Guide (http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iphone_user_guide.pdf):
Delete a song from iPhone: In Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Best,
    Sheila M.

  • Can't manually copy song from iTunes library to iPod Touch

I just purchased 2 songs from the iTunes store. I've alway set my iTunes to allow me to manually manage my songs. When I drug the first song from the iTunes library to the iPod Touch, it went fine. When I drug the second one across it, it said it was copying the file and then when it got to the very end the beach ball came up and it never finished. I had to force quit. The second and subsequent times that I have tried to copy the song, I just get the endless beach ball. This is on a 2011 iMac running 10.7.5 and iTunes 12.0.1.26.

OK, I got it to work. I updated iTunes to 12.1. Rebooted the iMac, reconnected the iTouch and tried dragging the song from my iTunes library to the iTouch again. This time it copied OK. I'm not sure why.

  • Can I transfer/copy songs from itunes to Windows Movie Maker?

I am designing a slide show for my daughter's wedding.  If I buy songs through itunes, can I copy/move them to Windows Movie Maker for the slide show.
    I appreciate your input/guidance.

With the iPod connected to your PC and selected on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes 11 on your PC then you can enable the sidbar via control-S), you should be able to use the Music tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select which of your music to sync to it e.g. which albums, artists, playlists etc : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1351

  • Cannot copy songs from itunes to my ipod

For some reason when I try to drag songs from my itunes to my ipod (dock version) nothing happens. I was able to do this just fine only three days ago. Any ideas?

Check your iPod summary page and make sure that "manually manage music" is still selected.
If it is, make sure that the song plays in iTunes.

  • Ipod wont copy songs from itunes as it contains more than 5 accounts

i know you can only register 5 computers to use ipod, but i only have 1 registered, ive tried authorizing and deautorising my accounts, my friends have put songs on my ipod when the m ipod crashed for me, and i just created an account here in the u.s. to download u.s. music i also have a uk account which i use to download songs too, how do i get rid of the accounts registered to my ipod so i can just use my 2 that i downloaded , without losing my songs already on my ipod>?

i know you can only register 5 computers to use ipod
    This is incorrect.
You can authorize a max of 5 computers to play your iTunes purchases.
how do i get rid of the accounts registered to my ipod
Accounts are not registered to an iPod.
Tp play songs in iTunes, you need to authorize teh computer. To authorize teh computer, play a purchased song. It will tell you that you need to authorize the computer by inputting your username and password.

  • Cannot copy songs from itunes to ipod touch, although I've downloaded latest itunes version. Please help..

I've downloaded latest version of itunes but still didn't allow me to drag the songs that I want to my ipod touch. Anybody could help?? Thanks!

    Hello Juminten Cinta,
Since you are trying to manually add content to your iPod Touch, have you double checked to make sure the Manually manage music and videos option is ticked from under your iPod's Summary tab?
If it's already ticked, what exactly happens when you try to drag the songs over to your iPod?

  • I downloaded a song from iTunes but it won't play on my iPad

Hi, I purchased a single on iTunes, downloaded it directly onto my iPad, played it twice but now it won't play anymore! I synced with my pc and it plays on there fine. Does anyone know how I fix this bar paying for another download? Thanks

Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

  • Trouble Copying Songs from Mac to iPod

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro.
I copied my iTunes folder from my PowerBook to my MacBook Pro. All of my songs appear in the library.
I have my iPod set up to manually manage my songs.
When I copy songs from library to my iPod, they don't copy. I don't even get a warning message. I did the reset warnings on my iPod and still no message.
If I go to my iMac computer, I can copy songs from iTunes to my iPod with no problem
Why can't I copy songs from my new MacBook Pro to iTunes?
I have reset my iPod, my sure I am running latest versions of the software etc.
MacBook Pro, 2.1 GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   2 GB Ram

Shooting from the hip, I'd say try running a restore with the iPod connected to the new MacBook.
    Good luck.

  • Nano3rdgen Copying playlist from itunes to ipod and it says it can't copy certain songs to ipod cos of file type. These problem songs all from same album, all ACC file type and all copied fine when I copied the album itself few weeks ago-help!

When copying playlist from itunes to nano3rd message comes saying 9 of songs can't be copied to ipod cos of file type. These 9 are all from same album, all ACC and all copied fine when I copied the album itselm some weeks ago.  Rest of playlist was ACC too.  P.S. album is a CD-R copied version-is this an issue? HELP I AM DESPAIRING!

I never laughed in all my life. Here I was, inserting the cd Dance with Me, thinking it's not going to copy the whole thing. yeah, right.
Sure, it prompted me, Do I want to replace the songs, so of course I said "no, don't replace the songs". and guess what it did. It copied the whole cd (at least I got my two songs).
I went into the itunes library, and sure enough, all the songs were there twice. So what did my intelligent brain think of? I just unchecked the doubled songs and stuck my ipod into my computer and it synched up and I got what I wanted.
Now what did I do wrong when it prompted me. I clicked on "don't replace" and it replaced them anyway.
Am I dumb? or is itunes stupid?
    thanks, Melody
