Copying standard blueprint application

Hi,
How do i copy standard blueprint applications into custom and make changes to it. My doubt is i need to copy at which level (i.e.), application or application set or even copy of fieldgroups has to be created.
Can anyone please tell me the necessary things needed to make a copy of standard blueprint application.

To start BAB
CRM>LAYOUT OF USER INTERFACE>APPLICATION/LAYOUT>BAB.
Change in to edit mode
create your own view ZCRM_##view for your groups##
save your entries.
BAB is started now new window.Select Application CRMM_ACCOUNT and view ZCRM_##
Create your own customizing request.
open the save menu.
Insert field
open the menu insert>field.
Place it on the screen.
Save your changes.
Check changes in the portal open account Application you want be able to see the changes because you havent set the paarmeters .Inorder to set the parameter
Go to SE80
Select BSP_APPLIACTION
Type in CRM_BSP_FRAME
Press the display icon.
open folder "pages with flow logic"
slect page "select.htm"
Click on right mouse button "test"
Type in ur user name and password.
Select the application.
Click in to the end of the URL and term &blview=ZCRM100##to URL string .
Press enter to relaod the application .
Now you would be able to see the changes.

I would like to know what's the best way to customize PC-UI applications (e.g. COMM_BUPAR). Is it necessary to copy application-set / application / field-groups?

The best and standard way of customizing PCUI applications is to copy them to customer view and make changes under that view.
You can copy PCUI application to customer view using customizing tool (transaction crmc_bsp_ct ).
This tool copies PCUI application blueprint table entries (fields groups,tab page groups,events,etc) into customer view tables .The customization whatever you do on customer view would not affect the blueprint application.

Calling copy of BSP application in e-recruitment

In E-recruitment module, I have a requirement to copy the SAP standard BSP application HRRCF_REQ_MNT to a z BSP application
and add new fields to one of the BSP pages of the ZBSP application.I could not find any customizing table where I can make a
call to my zBSP application. Can someone help me with this please?

to include views of customer bsp application in a container sequence like the requisition maintenance you have to use the standard flexibilization for container sequences.
It can be found in the IMG under the path e-recruiting -> technical settings -> user interface -> (Settings for UI BSP [only 600]) -> Flexibilization.
You first define a context if you have not already done this. Then you go to Container Sequence -> Define Elements for CS and create an element for the screen of the customer bsp you want to include. As the standard customizing is not shown (it's stored in seperate tables) you might want to have a look on T77RCF_CS_ITEM in SE16 to get an idea what to put in the different fields (namespace can be SAP noone seems to know what it's really for).
Then you have to go to -> Modify CS. Add an entry for CS Id 1000 which is the Container Sequence for requisition management. In the assingments you add entries for the context you created before and all customer and standard CS Items you want to use. The elements assigned to this CS Id in standard can be found in table T77RCF_CS_SEQ in SE16.
To access the new configuration you have to call the startpage of the recruiter with the condetext defined (URL Param: rcfContext)

Copying data between Applications

Hello all,
Is there a recommended approach to copying data between applications within the same application set? I have a cube that's the mirror image of another cube, excluding the difference in dimension names. I want to pass data from one cube to another cube. I am hoping this is something that can be done through DM using one of the standard packages provided by SAP.

Hi Rob,
Apart from using Data Manager option to copy data between applications, please also explore "Destination_App" statement in your script logic as you mentioned both the applications are mirror images of each other. Please check for sap help or SP02 doc addendum for more insight into destination app logic. There is also BADI option to take aggregated data from one application to another. There is a how-to-guide available for this.
Please check which one of these options suit better for your requirement.

Enhancinig a standard BSP application/page (/SCF/UIBSP)

Hi Experts,
We have a requirement to enhance stanard BSP page (application /SCF/UIBSP, ICH, SCM system). I understand that we can't enhance stanard BSP pages like we do in R/3 or ABAP. Please confirm.
Incase I need to copy the entire application to a Z/Y program, I would like to know if I have to take any precautions. I am little concerned, as this is the main ICH page delivered by SAP.

Yes the appliation we are about to enhance used MVC design pattern. So I hope I can use the program u suggested.
Below is our requirement.
We have a Standard BSP application, /SCF/UIBSP called from program /SCA/ICH_START. This BSP application has a Tree View. We have to add one more node in that tree and when clicked on it we need to display a page with some static text and a button. And when User clicks on that button we need to call an RFC from our R/3 system and get data from it and download the same data into a local system(of user).

Copying standard script

i am copying standard script it is not allowing changes in language EN and also its not asking request and package . so i am facing after copying script its not allowing changes in windows .
how to resolve this problem.

first of all copy the script from 000 to 120
here is the procedure
SAP Script is client dependent.
So you can use SCOT transaction to copy Transport request of SAP Script from one client to another.
You can use program RSTXSCRP also to transport SAP Script from one client to another.
Or from SE71 as SE71-> utlities->copy from client .
You need to go to transaction NACE and replace standard SAPScript with your custom SAPScript.
Path: NACE -> Select EF (Application) -> Click Output Types button -> Select NEU (if you use standard one) -> Double click on Processing Routine -> Click Change mode -> Replace Medruck with your custom SAPScript -> Save.

Copying Standard order type

select with reference/ copy button on Application Toolbar
select the order type as ZOR
press enter
now give the order deetails what ever you want.
and save it.

Copy standard cost with Cost Component from another material

Hi,
I need to copy standard cost from another material not only total price but also details of cost component split. I try to used transaction CKUC with procedure of "explode material cost estimate" but the reference material use "mixed costing" and isystem stop explosion.
There is another procedure in order to make this copy? I can not use special procurement because are different codes (material A / Plant XXX copy froma material B /Plant XXX).

Hi Chandra,
thanks for your suggestion, it works but only if I explode a level ... material "B" contains two mix codes that also contain their mixes. So system shows this message "Mixed cost estimate explosion in level 2 for material xxx" and "Mixed cost estimate exists: maximum of 2 explosion level (s) possible".
So Is not possible to copy and esploded a standard cost with multi level mix?

How to change the field label text in standard WD application

I have a requirement to change the filed label text in standard WebDynpro application.

I want to change the label text from "Last Name" to "Vendor Name".
Can anyone please provide me the possible options to change label text?

Blueprint Application Builder Error.

Dear Gurus,
I went to CRMC_BLUEPRINT transaction code and selected the BluePrint Application Builder. BAB got launched in Internet Explorer. When I select the Application as "Leads" and View as "Lead Manager" and click on "Load Application" I get a java script message saying "SAP data could not be maintained in the customer system". I get this message for any selection of Application and View. Can you pls advice me.

Error when copying an existing application (built on 4.0.1) in Apex 4.0.2

Hi,
we're getting this error when we try to copy an existing application to a new one inside of Apex. The same error happens when we try to export and import the application.
Please note that the source application was created on Apex 4.0.1. Meanwhile Apex was patched to 4.0.2!

The reason could be because of an invalid target reference in the Dynamic action mentioned in the error message( in the API call at that line number ,use the p_name,p_page_id parameters to identify the Dynamic Action involved)

Which option to choose:idoc user exit or copy standard idoc?

Hi gurus,
We are using idoc technolody to implement the interface between R3 and 3rd party system.
Most of idocs are inbound processing, and it seems standard idoc can't meet our all requirements.
So we are considering the option:i choose doc user exit or create new idoc by copying standard idoc.
Which way do you like better?What are the advantages and disadvantages of them?
Any help will be appreciated.
BTW, our customer will upgrade their R3 4.7 system to ECC6.0 after this project the next year.

By making changes in the User-Exits, if you can achieve what you are looking for then I would recommend to use user-exits. SAP programs are not bug free and SAP keeps on updating them by releasing hundreds of notes every day. If customer is upgrading to new version in near future then using standard programs are the best option.
