Copying video w/audio and only pasting audio?

I was asked this earlier today and I had to admit, I had no idea how to do this.
My colleague would like to copy a clip (video and audio) and only paste the audio. I've hunted through the manual and I didn't see this, so I'm asking here.
This is something she has to do over and over, and due to the set up where she's recording (don't ask), they record voiceovers to tape (it's a public access channel with low-budget), but she only needs the audio.
The solution I suggested was to put them all into a sequence and then just option-select all the video tracks and delete them.
Anyone have any better ideas?

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the problem, but;
In order to copy a clip you first have to select it. So if before selecting the clip she turns off linking and just selects the audio portion of the clip then when she pastes it'll only be the audio that is in the clipboard.
Isn't that what you're asking?

Well, First of all, some of my .PDF files started to disappear without any reason, a year or so ago, a couple of months ago the "message" started to come up everytime I tried to shut it down or re start it. Then, the YouTube videos went "green" on Internet Explorer, and then on Google Chrome too! A couple of weeks ago any video saved on my Laptop, started to go "black", the same pattern, only audio could be heard, no images. It took a little while, I mean, after turning on my Laptop, 30 minutes or 2 hours later, tops, the YT videos would turn green,after watching 2 to 6 six videos on YT. and black, on Windows Media, at the same time, whenever I tried to play any video.
Then I tried the link that I posted before. And my Laptop is getting slower after that, the display has "blinked", 1 or 2 times this past week. Internet Explorer "crashes", and I have to re-open my "session" to see my previous visited sites. I think this last part, is normal, since everytime IE fails and you have to "close the program", and then open it again, it doesn't scare me.
What does scare me is to have a virus, or mallware. I have an antivirus, McAfee Security Center. And, I don't know what else to say.
I use my laptop to record music, I have 2 programs for that, and 1 or 2 more that came with a guitar pedal and a keyboard, and I don't know if I should have just one, instead of 2 programs (DAWs) installed on my laptop, does that affect my Laptop?

Just saw your thread, and it looked like a candidate for the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce Roll Back the Driver issue. If your computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card, then the following applies to you. You do not want to update the driver. Rather you want to roll back the driver version, probably to about May 2013. For your convenience I have done a copy/paste of the forum announcement which gives all the details and fix of the matter.

If you are a Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer uses a NVIDIA GeForce video card and you are experiencing Premiere Elements 10 display and/or unexplained program behavior, then your first line of troubleshooting needs to be rolling back the video card driver version instead of assuring that it is up to date.
Since October 2013 to the present, there have been a growing number of reports about display and unexplained workflow glitches specific to the Premiere Elements 10 user whose Windows computer has a NVIDIA GeForce video card. If this applies to you, then the “user to user” remedy is to roll back the NVIDIA GeForce video card driver as far as is necessary to get rid of the problems. The typical driver roll back has gone back as far as March – July 2013 in order to get a working Premiere Elements 10. Neither NVIDIA nor Adobe has taken any corrective action in this regard to date, and none is expected moving forward.

This matter has been very specific to the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce card user. So, if your computer is using other than a NVIDIA GeForce card, it is likely that the message does not apply to you, and we can then explore other troubleshooting possibities.

Is this an app bbbc? IF it is I would contact the app developer and see if they can resolve the issue for you.
also take a look at the reviews and see if other users are having the same issue and see if they have a resolution.

This worked, I used the method described in this link http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=365156, and opened the Mozilla profile screen with the terminal on my mac, using the language given in the links. Then I duplicated my original profile to save the bookmarks, etc. Put them in a folder listed Duplicate profile with the date. With the open profile screen, I deleted my original profile, created new profile folder and then a new profile. Note that profile cannot be created in the system library, it must be created on the disc, because the library will not allow writing into it. After I created my new profile folder, I dragged all my old information into it, and it worked. Firefox closed and the error disappeared. You must be VERY careful to make sure Firefox is closed anytime you are doing anything with the profile folders. I think that is what caused my original problem.

Your sequence settings look incorrect. 1440x1080 29,97 while the clip shows 1920x1080 59,94.
If you are going to dvd leave it like it is, but use a preset and do not use match source attributes.
Import the . m2v and .wav into Encore.
BTW bad practice putting files on the desktop.
Under extra/view there is an option to reveal extentions, might want to turn that on.
Not sure if its called extra/view as i am on a non English OS.

I have dowmloaded some movie clips into quicktime (which they play on my computer) as a .mov and .mp4
however when i import them to my keynote preso, only the audio comes up with a black screen????

Copying video to DVD and finalising.

I have spent the afternoon searching the net and looking at YouTube videos in vain. I'm amazed that the question has not been asked more often so either I'm unique (I don't think so ) or I'm missing something. I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) with Pages, Notes, Garageband on it but not (I think) iLife which seemed to have iDVD which I see was discontinued in July 2011.
So. If it was discontinued what replaced it?
I have a Liteon external DVD player which is recognised by the Mac and plays pre-recorded DVDs and today after countless clicks and different ways of doing things managed to 1. Delete a video that was already on a DVD+RW and somehow copy a video back to the same disc. I am totally lost as to how I did it as sometimes I was dragging from Finder, sometimes I clicked on the video and selected Burn to Disc, sometimes different screens popped up ... I'm lost ... totally lost.
Also despite it being a 4.7GB disc it would only allow me to burn one video onto it and somewhere in the popups it kept incrementing the disc number so it started off as disc 1 then 2 then ...
So.
I have tried REALLY hard, can anyone tell me:
How EXACTLY to burn a video to DVD ... I did it by (ultimately) trying everything which sometimes worked ... most often not. And I can't replicate it.
Can you burn more than one video to a disc ... how?
Finally, and something I have been totally unable to find, a DVD needs finalising/finalizing to play it on other DVD players. I've found NOTHING on this which just amazes me.
Finally, finally, I have seen a FEW questions on this topic but so few I just don't get it and all dated before my machine.

10.9.2 lost audio and no core audio process present

This is a 2 month old MBP with the 512GB SSD and 16GB of RAM.
I've tried rebooting and reseting the PRAM as well as invoking the command in terminal to kill and start core audio process. Nothing. If I look in the Activity monitor there is no core audio process running. Right now I have no audio.
The problem presented itself after attemtping to plug in a pair of earphones. I've inspected the phone jack and it is clear of dust / debris.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, I found the core audio process - I didn't have "All Processes" selected in the View. I tried killing it but still no luck. I also tried resetting my SMC.

Is there a way to play video through HDMI and have the audio via the headphone socket?

I would like to be able to play movies through the HDMI adapter to a projector, but to have the audio via the headphone socket to a separate audio system. What I find is that as soon as I connect the projector via HDMI, the audio via the headphone sockeet is cut off. Any ideas?

Yes, there is a very simple way to get audio out through the iPad headphone jack even while connected to HDMI to play movies on a projector or TV. In fact, I just did it last night for a presentation.
With the HDMI adapter connected to the projector and your audio jack plugged into your iPad headphone jack, go ahead and start the movie. Then simply unplug the headphone jack and plug it back in. The audio is now routed through the headphone jack again.
I found I only had to do this once per session. That is, Iwas able to stop the movie, go to the beginning of my presentation, wait the 20 minutes for the meeting to begin, and when I got to the video clip the audio still played out through the headphone jack to the PA system.
I had built a presentation in a Web oriented training tool and it was running on Safari iOS7 with the latest update. I have not tried it with Keynote yet.

I can not figure this out and could not Google, or Search this forum for an answer.
I click on a layer (and no other layers are visable), but when I try to copy it, the Copy function is greyes out.....only the Paste option is available.
How do I correct this?

I've got a Photoshop doc that all the layers can't be copied. Copy, cut, paste, that whole section of the Edit menu is grayed out.
What's the deal? Is there something that needs to be switched to be able to copy/paste etc?
Ultimately trying to copy a layer into Dreamweaver. Everything says "Select layer, copy layer, open Dreamweaver, paste". Only I can't copy anything. It looks like I'm selecting the layer, (Highlighted and all), but the Edit menu is grayed out. And of course, it's not working.

Stopping audio and starting another audio when button clicked

I have a multiple slide document, and I want sound to stop
when they click the "Next" button, and another audio clip to start.
Here is what I have so far:

So I just want it to play audio clip "Slide2" when they click

Attach your second sound file to the frame that will play the
second sound. Then try adding stopAllSounds() before the
gotoAndStop("2"); to get the first sound to stop playing and then
play the second sound.
