Hi guys Ive been searching through thr forum without succes ,looking for how to d the copyright logo on motion.
I am doing some credits and want to get that little c in the circle.
How can I do this?

Hi Flossie64. What you want is called a "Watermark". Click the heading below for the User Manual section.
Adding a Watermark at Export
A watermark is a visible graphic overlay that is applied to an image. Photographers often use watermarks to indicate that images are protected by a copyright and to discourage others from inappropriately using their images.
To use the Aperture tools, you must first create you watermark. It is an image file with a transparent background. There are some good posts on this forum with directions if you need them.
The easiest way to do this, though, is simply to install the free Aperture plug-in Border FX. The bang for the buck is unsurpassable.
I use Border FX all the time -- but even within Border FX I use a PNG overlay.

Apple copyright logo in website

First things first, in that I cannot believe how good iWeb is, having gone in a about a week from novice to what looks quite an impressive website. About ready to upload, but one of the loose ends to sort out is that, in addition to the 'Made on a Mac' for each page, I have a page detailing a bit about my (very positive!) thoughts concerning Apple Mac. For the header photo to this page I am using the 'X' logo from Panther. Suspect this is copyright. Post on the basis that this augments the 'Made on a Mac' logo and is in effect a positive review? Seek clearance first? Forget it and include a photo of my iMac (and grossly untidy desk, complete with cat using stack of papers as home)?

Increase canvas conditionally and Conditonal copyright logo

Hi,
I want to increase the Canvas size of image conditionally depends on height or width of images. But the script is not giving proper results.
Can Anyone help me in this. And also i have done bold for the text as comments. Even i need help in the comment mentioned line also

Used to work on product images. procedure goes like this:
1. Cut the product
2. Change colour mode
3. Make path
4. Clear background
5. Trim
6. Increase canvas(Relative)
7. Save as tiff
Here i am getting error in No.6 Step (The canvas should increase Conditionally Depend on image size in Cm's. If Width is more than height it should consider Width. If height is more than width it should consider height.). i have standards like this much width means this much canvas(relative) should increase. So the standards are mentioned as variable at the start of the script. So i want to write Canvas as conditionally.

No. Ownership of an Apple product does not give you the right to use their trademarked and copyrighted logos. From their licensing information:
You may not use the Apple Logo or any other Apple-owned graphic symbol, logo, or icon on or in connection with web sites, products, packaging, manuals, promotional/advertising materials, or for any other purpose except pursuant to an express written trademark license from Apple, such as a reseller agreement.

Adding logos to tool bars

Hello again Robohelpers,
I'm just trying to make a custom skin for a client who would like his logo in the tool bar of his webhelp (i.e where content/search/toc buttons/tabs are displayed).
Not a problem, I said. Give me a day.
Thing is, the insert image part of editing the skin is a real headache. Firstly, I would quite like to get rid of the search box, and as far as I can see there is no option to remove buttons in the skin editor - there is only a plus button for new ones. Even selecting the Search bar item and pressing delete doesn't work.
This wouldn't be the end of the world, except that as far as I can tell, there is no easy way to anchor the logo where I would like. In Photoshop, I whisked up a header bar with the logo in it, but where the logo ends up on the published webhelp is up to the whim of the size of the window that is displayed. Any adjustment to the window size results in the logo moving, sometimes behind the aforementioned search bar or other aesthetic nastiness.
Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks as always for any help in advance...

In my original Default.skn file, for RoboHelp 7, there's a section for an Adobe copyright logo. I'd try tweaking that manually in Notepad or something (change all the texts and add an image location).
Don't know if this will do it but it might.

Copyright Plugin

Greetings, Is there a way in Aperture, via a plugin, or native Aperture that will allow me to put a copyright logo on my pics before sending to Flicker, Facebook, exporting, etc. I know you can put rather generic looking text on your pic before emailing, but I'm looking for something a little more robust. It seems to be a pain to have to go to Photoshop to put on a watermark.

To add a watermark image to your exported images
Tips for Creating High-Quality Watermarks
Use the following guidelines to create high-quality watermarks for your images:
Save your watermark as a PSD (Photoshop) file with a transparent background.
Create multiple sizes of your watermark so that you can select the one that is the best match for the output size of the exported image.
Note: If a watermark file is larger than the image you want to export, Aperture automatically scales the watermark down to fit the image. (Aperture does not scale watermarks up.)
After you create a watermark, save it as part of an export preset so you can reuse it as often as you need.

Add copyright

I am adding a copyright logo to all the images I have in many files to post online. I don't seem to be able to record an action to overlap transparent logo file (ps) with image (jpeg). I want to record the action so that I can use it in Automator to do whole files.
Any idea how to do that?

I'm assuming you're using Adobe PhotoShop, which has its own batch operations to run actions on groups of files.
So the question is, why do you need to use Automator?
If you do need to use Automator, like if this is part of a larger workflow, I'm pretty sure this set of Automator actions has a run Photoshop action action.
Or maybe it was this one
Or, it might be installed already... (Sorry, I have a PHotoshop Do Action action listed in Automator under the group for Adobe PS CS but don't remember where it came from)

SIZE OF FILE GOES LOWER WHEN I UPLOAD TO FLICK

In what way are you uploading the photo to Flickr? What version of Aperture are you using? You haven't filled in any profile information to indicate to the rest of the users what kind of hardware and software configuration you have.

I can't tell if my previous messages came thru, but I need help with PSE 7.0. I can't use my drop shadow brush set anymore.

I am not sure if any of my previous messages went thru or not, but I have Photoshop Elements 7.0. I learned how to open a blank file and use a textbox to make my watermark and also my copyright logo and save them each as a brush. They were saved in the Drop Shadow Brushes. When I used my cloning stamp yesterday, I switched brushes to basic. When I later attempted to go back into the drop shadow brush set where I had saved the watermark and copyright logo, a message came up telling me the file couldnot be opened because it wasnot compatible with this version of Photoshop. I presume it is because of the special brushes saved there. What do I do now?

Watermarking for the web

Hi, will try and be clear with this! In Aperture, when sending email the psd watermark file created in photoshop 3 works fine. when I select same watermark image to use on web site photos after uploading I just get a black box in the center of the image. Why is this?
I am new to photoshop. In Photoshop I File..New, Set size and background transparent. NEW LAYER. select type and write name etc and insert C logo from charcter palette on mac.. Place center. Rastorize type (cant rastorize layer 1, grayed out,, should I ?) and merge visible . Save on desktop as psd file and select it in presets and mail preferences in aperture and away ya go. At least thats how it always worked before, now on web images there is just a black box. Email is fine. Am I missing something. I don't think Aperture is the problem as there is only select, scale watermark and opacity to think about so presume its something at the photoshop stage.

The problem I believe is finally sorted.!
THE issue has something to do with the way raw files are read in version 1 of aperture and web journals and presumably web pages built before updating to version 2. . The black square issue is resolved by control clicking on the journals built before the update to 2 and selecting "migrate web journal" and following instructions without changing anything. Then publish as normal. At least has worked for me!
As for making a watermark. If you have Photo Shop the following is what works for me as a very simple one but i like it:
File-new. Name. Custom. size about 26 x 10 cm. Res 300. rgb 8bit background transparent.
Menu-layer-new, click ok
Click type, set what you want, I used font size 30 and type away. (copyright logo came from character palette on mac) At this point people who actually know what they are doing can get creative!
Select curser and position centrally.
When happy dont do anything else other than "Save as" Format Photoshop (psd) and put somewhere you will find it! click save.
Select in Aperture preferences for anything that needs a watermark (except mobile me galleries where I am stuck exporting images to folder on desk top with said watermark (e-mail medium works for me) and re importing them into new project then create new gallery from selecting in that project.) check the 'scale watermark' and set opacity to your liking.

When you are comparing this to Flash, does this comparison
extend to the requirement for each end user to install the Air
runtime on their PCs before they can access our RoboHelp system?
And that they will also get reminders to update to the latest

I'm running Windows XP SP2 with Lightroom 1.3.1 and Photoshop CS. Over the past several years, I've established a comfortable workflow for processing my images in PS. I have recently added LR to my world and am now trying to get a handle on how to integrate it into the work process I use.
Right now I use PS to do all the normal post-processing: using layers, levels and color balance to clean up images (skin, hair, blemishes, etc), adjust exposure/contrast, lighten eyes/teeth, apply one or more tones, etc. Pretty normal, common stuff, as best as I can tell.
But now I find that some of these steps are so much easier in LR, e.g., modifying exposure and contrast, using presets to adjust tones. So I'd like to use LR to do the steps that is does so well and with such ease, while using PS to do what it does best.
I know what LR and PS are each designed to do: LR, among other things, can be used to make adjustments to exposure, WB, tones; PS to make edits at the pixel level.
Here's where I'm stuck - how to get the two pieces of software to streamline my work process, without having to duplicate work or change my process.
What I want to do is be able to take an image, make some initial exposure modifications, then cleanup up the image one time, then apply one or more develop presets to create multiple version of a single cleaned up image (B&W, color, duo-tone, etc.) and then make some final edits to it.
Using the two tools, here's how I see my process:
1. Make initial exposure, WB adjustments in LR on my RAW image.
2. Edit a TIF copy in PS so I can do all my cleanup one time on a master copy of the image.
3. Now I'd like to bring the master image back into LR so I can apply develop presets to modify the tone, colors, convert to B&W, etc.
4. Final step is to make one last set of modifications to image in PS, like whiten eyes or teeth, add copyright logo, etc.
I know that once I bring the TIF back into LR (Step 3 above) I do not have the same controls in the Develop Module (e.g., WB control is now -100 to +100 instead of color temperature) that I did with the RAW image and the presets that I want to do not behave the same way. This is my first hurdle.
Sorry for the long-winded note, but I wanted to explain as best I could my process and how I'd like to use LR and PS to enhance my process. I'm looking for some advice on how I might best use these two wonderful tools in the process that I described above without having to duplicate any of my steps (like create multiple versions of the image in LR and having to take multiple versions of the image into PS to perform the same edits to clean up the image)
Ideal world: I move back and forth between LR and PS with a RAW image, passing changes I make back into each software package as I work on each step in my process. Is this doable somehow? Do I need to upgrade to PS CS3?

Lightroom 2.0 allows editing of RAW images in Photoshop without creating a .tiff or other copy. You can even open files from Lightroom as Smart Objects. See this video for further information: http://creativesuitepodcast.com/index.php?post_id=323482

"Old" 5530 Xpress Music and Maps (UK/Europe)

I have one of these which in the past I connected with a Nokia GPS unit and it worked very well as a Sat-Nav unit. I need to use it again. I am in UK - I am going to drive to Spain via Belgium/Switzerland/France. I charged it and the GPS unit and then opened up Nokia suite and was able to download all the maps I needed. Basically it appears to be ready to go as it knows where it is and I can move around the maps. However, I don't seem to be able to buy a subcription to the live service and without that it will not calculate a route. Has MAPS been discontinued for phones this old (I mean 4/5 years is that really, really, old......). The software about screen says it is based on S60 5th Edition Software and shows a 2013 copyright logo. Device updates says it's running V32.0.007 (Custom Version 32.0.007.204.02).
I read somewhere that the newer maps won't work with older symbian phones, but I'd settle for older maps I just need a subscription.

Although I bought a "Voice Navigation" license for device using Ovi Maps v3.01 a few months back, 5530 XpressMusic doesn't have inbuilt GPS chip and Nokia seem to have a policy now for not supporting use of Nokia Maps for devices without Integrated GPS. This may account for "License Manager" not offering you option to purchase license from "Shop" anymore.

Importing Symbols in LT

Hello,
So, not sure that it's possible, but I want to use the Creative Commons Logo (just as you would the Copyright Logo) for my final clip at the end of film. Is there a way to import this or somehow create it within Live Type. I've tried using it as a layer and put it next to the Live Type, but it looks really pixelated, so I thought if it could somehow be imported into Live Type and I add it that way, problem solved. Thanks in advance!
