Copyright notices

Hi
Can anyone tell me how to embed a copyright notice into the metadata of my photos please?    I can add a textbox with a copyright symbol and my name, but that doesn't appear in the metadata.    Maybe there's a way to do it in camera?    I use a Nikon D300.

Open the Organizer and press Ctrl+G to bring up the downloader dialog
Click the advanced button to show the right-hand panel
Under the section Apply Metadata complete the boxes for Author and Copyright
The information will then be embedded automatically every time you import photos from your camera storage card
You can also do it manually on individual photos by opening a photo in Full Edit.
Click File >>File Info
Then complete the copyright fields and click OK

  • Copyright notice to all folders in Bridge CS4

Hello, everyone.  I also posted this in the Bridge forum, but I think it belongs here.
I entered a copyright notice in the field, under Description, and was able to copy this metadata to all the images in the same folder.
I'm trying to understand how to place this copyright notice to all the other file folders within Bridge CS4, without having to enter it again, in that field.
How might I go about accomplishing that task?
    Thanks.
    Alan

You can use a Metadata template to append information.
I am not at my PS machine right now but the instructions are in the Help files.

  • How do I change the default copyright notice?

I'm just getting started using the Xcode tools for app development. When I start a new project all the .h and .m files in the classes folder include a default copyright notice that came from somewhere on my computer. In my case it is a reference to my last job, the company name. I'm on my personal home computer not company owned. Can someone tell me how to find where Xcode is finding that text string? So I can modify it.
    Thank you
    [email protected]

btw; I found the referecnes to :
    # Read the default value
defaults read com.apple.Xcode PBXCustomTemplateMacroDefinitions -dict ORGANIZATIONNAME
    # Set the default value
defaults write com.apple.Xcode PBXCustomTemplateMacroDefinitions -dict ORGANIZATIONNAME "Your Company Name"
but I can't fine the file that contains the above....  ??

  • File Info Description Copyright Notice text problem

I want to change the Copyright Notice text in File>File Info>Description in a way that is permanent.  Back in 2009  I set the text to say "Copyright 2009" and now I want it to say Copyright 2011.  Changing the text works for the current image but the next image I open, it reverts to 2009.  How do I fix this?

that there are DEFAULT values for both Photographer and Copyright Notice that are loaded (from SOMEWHERE) every time I launch Photoshop.
Sounds like you may already have a Script to add the © notice.
Yes, I did misunderstand the need.
Good luck, and I see that you are suffering from a "split-personality." Post with both I.D.s to the Forum Comments forum, and Adobe-Admin will help you straighten things out. Note: Adobe is on Summer holiday, until July 10, so John might not be working, until then.

  • Removing copyright notice from images

Hope someone can help me with this one........ whilst looking at watermarking techniques in PS6, I have inadvertantly added  "Copyright Eric Hall" which is attached to all of the images I convert from RAW to JPEG. All of the images I upload to Facebook have this copyright notice attached.  Can anyone tell me how I remove it. Thanks in advance  :-)

Yep convert all your raw to jpg without the watermark, easy as that. Before the conversion verify what you want in your metadata and make sure when you do the conversion (assuming through a script via batch or image processor) that your action for creating a watermark is not included.
If this does not help, then you are going to have to go into detail and probably post a screen shot of your watermark and how it was originally added as Chris mentions.

  • No copyright notice??

I did not see my Copyright notice under Aperture 3.4.5. Picture file contains data because Canon Digital Photo Professional can see it. I just compare the same picture file in both program.
    See those two picture.
How can I see in Aperture my Copyright notice<< Please help me!
    Thanks

Select the "Copyright" field in the "Exif" section of the metadata, not the one in the IPTC section. The IPTC copyright notice can be  edited, the EXIF copyright from the camera cannot be changed.
Added:  Now I see, Frank already explained it   I really wish the answers would show  earlier!

  • Better control of the placement of the copyright notice in exported image

When exporting from Lightroom and enabling the copyright overlay, the placement of the copyright notice depends on the original orientation of the camera, making it possible to end up in the top right of the image. I would like it to always end up in the same corner of the actual exported image. Also, some control over the font and color would be nice!

Is sort of annoying. Not sure if it can be changed. I known when I download movies and put them in iTunes it tries to sync and I wait for it to try and I click the little X in the status window to stop it. Reason being, I want to first add the Artwork and set some other tags. Then I go hit the manual sync button.
I agree it is a bit of a pain.

  • How to insert a copyright notice into a photo in iPhoto ?

I would like to insert copyright info into my photos to prevent unauthorized usage, Is this possible in iPhoto or does it require an external photo editing program?

You can set the watermarking application to work from within iPhoto by selecting it in iPhoto's General preference pane under it's Edit photo: menu.

  • Copyright question for posting to the web

    hi all.
i am wondering if someone wouldn't mind giving me a bit of expertise on a question i have.
i have a set of images from various sources that are basically creative imagery. i have organized these and i would like to share them by posting them to an album on my flickr account.
i have named the files with the topic and the photographer and i am wondering if it is likely to create a problem. in /most/ cases these images are actually from the New York Times so the file name says "architecture house_ray jones NYT.png" or whatever.
is there a hard rule against this? is it possible to give attribution in the photo explanation and be OK?
    thanks for any advice.

You'd have to contact the copyright holder to find out what you can do with the images.
    from the NYT website:

  • OK. I have a copyright question. Do I have to put a copyright symbol on each of my photos to protect them from being stolen ? I'm referring to photos of paintings  here. What is to stop readers of the iBook from using the photos?

Ok, I have a question concerning copright. Do I have to put a copyright symbol on every image I use- I'm refering to photos of paintings here. What is to stop readers of the ibook from using my images? They are all my own photos.

You do not HAVE to put a © symbol on each photo. If you own the photos, you hold the copyright. However, nothing stops a viewer from downloading the photo and using it without your permission.
To protect yourself there are alternatives: put a ©2013 by ME in the description of each photo. Always add your copyright notice to the metadata in every photo.
I once had several of my photos taken off the internet and then used in a commercial catalog without my permission. I was outraged, the catalog company was naive, and in the end I received $100 compensation and an apology. - Fabini

  • How to remove copyright text

Just created my first iphoto book, was going to get it printed when i noticed in the slideshow that next to every photo or on every page there is a copyright symbol with my name next to it. Is there anyway to remove that? I went into settings, and i see the option, but cannot set it to zero, i can only control the font and size, therefore it will not remove it from my pages. I also unselected "automatically enter photo information" because the photo file numbers where showing up on the book before i unselected that. The photo book is for a client and i don't want my name showing on every photo and page.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

adding copyrights to photos is not a feature of iPhoto - how did you add these copyright notices? Where are you seeing this option? I do not and have never seen a copyright option in iPhoto '09.
the proper way to preview your book is Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it. A slide show is not a good, accurate preview of your book

  • How do I change the copyright info and links in collection pages?

Can anyone tell me how I can change the copyright info and links on a collection page using the new updated Public Site Manager?
    1. When I click on 'Configure selected collection' there doesn't seem to be an option to edit copyright information and I've tried editing the info in Settings > Copyright Notice but it doesn't filter through to the collection pages.
    2. When I click on 'Configure selected collection' the links tab is empty but on my collection page there is a link called 'website' which links to our University website but the url is incorrect so I need to change it.
    Example screenshot -
    Thanks

Also when I add a url list to a collection page and then delete all the links I'm left with a blank url list showing in preview page in iTunes. This should not happen, the admin guide says -
"To delete a collection page URL list, delete all the links in the list. When you publish, if you have a URL list with no links, iTunes U Public Site Manager hides the empty URL list."
It doesn't. At least it doesn't for me when I preview the collection in iTunes.

  • How can you Copyright your photos in iWeb

Does anyone know how to copyright your photos in iWeb so that others can download your images and claim them as their own?? thanks

Press: Option+"G" and you will have this "©" after it put your name as:
    ©Fito Pardo 2007
In photoshop or a program like this put your copyright notice on top of your photos like I did it:
    http://www.cinematograf.com/Links/Clientes/Pages/Belinda.html
If you like no one to download your pictures I recomend to you to put your images like here:
    http://www.cinematograf.com/Media/StillPortfolio/StillPortfolio.html
So is more dificult for others to use them as their own as this pictures are in way less resolution than prints and is very difficult to use video images on a catalog, it look like crap.
    And there is another way
Put your images like I did in video, then place a box layer on top of the video and make that box transparent:
Under the "Inspector" window, go to "Graphic", then go to "Opacity" and make the square "0%", make shure is on top of your whole video so no one can download your video.
This is actually the best way, but then again if you don't put a copyright notice like the "Belinda" pictures I did (she is a Latin Pop Star, That is why I put that copyright notice on top of every shot, there is a lot of fans who like to have some of those pictures) you will still have to worry about:
    "Shift" + "Command" (Or Apple) + "4"
That one is the command to copy what ever you want on the screen
I hope this works for you

I am trying to fix the PMD violation (info) in one of my projects and I can't seem to be able to do so. I have added relevant copyright information in one of my action script files eg.

  • Is there a way to embed copyright information with forms?

I would like to put a copyright on custom forms I am creating, or not really a copyright but just an acknowldgement of my company as the creator of the form and of the practice which is using the form. Is there a way to embed this in a PDF. Not necessarily in a visible way either. I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9. My boss is demanding this so please help!

First you can add the information as a footer in the authoring program.
Next you can add custom meta data fields to include the copyright notice, contact information, and usage restrictions through the "File => Properties => Custom" UI or with JavaScript. Doc Properties info
You can also set the meta daa copyright through the "File => Properties => Description => Additional Metadata..."  or with JavaScript. Doc Properties metadata
You can modify these scripts to make them functions that can be accessed by adding an option to an Acrobat menu item or as a tool bar button.
    app addMenuItem method
    app add subMenu
    app addToolButton
    app removeToolButton
