CORBA and JDK 1.5

Hello,
I've just started developing with the JDK 1.5 and CORBA. I've encountered a problem with the ORB and NameService of this JDK release.
I'm calling the method:
resolve_initial_references(String object_name) within the ORB class to resolve the "NameService".
In case there is no ORBD or TNAMESERV present, this method should throw an exception: InvalidName (=org.omg.CORBA.ORBPackage.InvalidName) as I can read in the javadoc.

  org.omg.CORBA.Object obj = orb.resolve_initial_references("NameService");
} catch (Exception e) {
  System.out.println(e.getMessage());
}Somewhere inside the JDK these in a printStackTrace() call which prints out this exception to System.err before I can catch in within my implementation.
I've looked in the source code of the CORBA implementation of the JDK and there are many more occurences of these printStackTrace calls.
Can anyone tell me how I can disable these exception prints?

I am having this same problem - does anyone have a resolution?
Calling:
resolve_initial_references("NameService")errors out against JRE 1.5 on solaris, but not 1.4 solaris or 1.4/1.5 windows.
