Corbu Theme to Portal

Hi
Is there a way to apply corbu theme to Portal Centrally. Using the below link i  have applied corbu theme to ESS/MSS as these are WDA/launchpad apps.
http://scn.sap.com/community/web-dynpro-abap/blog/2013/04/08/corbu-theme-for-webdynpro-abap
We have E-Recruitment and LSO  applications where we are using standard roles.
Individually i have applied theme to iviews using WD config  for erec and LSO.But business want to see complete Portal in Corbu.
Left hand navigation,Portal header etc... must be in corbu.
I have tried to view SAP Notes 1783618/1948968 which doesnt open.
We are on NW 7.31 SP06 and ECC EHP6
Any helps in regards to this is appreciated
Thanks
Anil

It also states to not enable SAP CORBU centrally on the Portal.
And by introduction of SAP note 2016674 (SPS13) it is no longer possible to use SAP Corbu in the portal version of UI Theme Designer. They updated SAP note 1783618 to reflect the same. I guess I have to start migrating to Gold Reflection...

  • SAP Corbu Theme issues

    Hi All,
I have recently modified the SAP Corbu theme and applied to my user using display rules.
Every thing looks fine except that when I open /irj/portal in google chrome / firefox, and then go to UWL, some of the images are not loading and I can see below error
    http://<FQDN>-<PORT>/com.sap.portal.theming.webdav.themeswebdavlistener/UR/ur/sap_standard/common/1x1.gif
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found)
Please have a look at the attached screenshot.
I am running on SAP PO 7.4, SP 06
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Srinivas

You need to apply SAP note 2016530. You should know that SAP Corbu isn't supported in the portal and it will be removed from the UI Theme Designer in SP08, see SAP note 2016674 for details. Better start working on a custom theme based on Gold Reflection.

  • Location of custom themes in Portal 7.4

    Hi,
Our Portal is upgraded from 7.01 to 7.4 recently. We are using the good old portal theme editor.(UI Theme Designer from portal is not activated). I  Created a theme based on a standard theme. In the earlier versions of the portal, all the theme related files(images,CSS etc) are stored in the following location in the file system of the portal server
    <harddrive>\usr\sap\<instance>\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\portalapps\com.sap.portal.design.urdesigndata\themes\portal\
There used to be  folder for each theme in the above location. But in the 7.4 portal, I did not see the custom theme folder under the above mentioned location, However, it shows some standard SAP themes and the custom themes that were existent before upgrade, But not the new custom theme that I created post upgrade, Does anyone know where new custom themes are stored in portal 7.4,when they are created by using the theme editor.
    Regards
    Veera

    Hi Veera,
You can find newly created custom theme under WRR(Web Resource Repository), which is newly introduced in new release like 7.4 you are using. It provides a single storage location for all portal application resources and branding resources and enables NW Portal administrators to upload, download, view, and modify these resources, without the need to redeploy applications to see the results of the modifications.
You can find custom themes under:
Portal -> Content Administration -> Web Resource Repository -> Portal Content -> Web Resources -> theming -> Portal -> "Your custome theme"
All custom theme resouces are saved here. But please remember only custom themes are saved in WRR.And you can easily download these theme files like .css file. You can refer to below link for more information:

  • Theme for Portal !!!

    Hello everyone
We have now an Enterprise Portal in our Business .
Our Business has 2 departments and each one of the department has its own implementation of the same portal using the same theme . Each one has the same number of Top Level Navigation and also the same number for Details Navigation but its roles are different.
In the Content Delivery I am aware that it was defined some standard themes in the Standard Portal Content .
As each department have their own roles , we are planning to change the look and feel for one of the department : We mean that now , one department will use  a different theme and will have its own look and feel (Color, TLN, Detail Navigation, Title bar different from the other one .
We need to know if is it possible to have these changes ?
Remember that our two departments are using the same Enterprise Portal .
If we change the theme of one of theme , this will affect the other one implementation ?
    Thanks for any ideas
    Regards

    Hi Stan,
    Follow this procedure
    •     In content administration ,in portal content create a new folder.
    •     Copy default framework in the new folder from Portal users>Standard Portal users>Default Framework in portal content.
    •     In system administration> portal display>desktop and display rules>portal content create new desktop, open its object..
    •     In the new desktop add the new created framework and the theme to be used.Set both the framework and the theme as default.
    •     Portal Administrators>super_admin>master rule collection add if expression
    •     Give user name for whom the desktop is to be applied and the path(left click once on the created desktop and check in the quick info the id of the new desktop) of the new portal desktop created in the portal content of Desktop and display rules>System Administration.Save the changes
Now login as the given user  whom the new desktop is applied.
You may put particular users in a group and assign a theme to that group. This ways you can assign different themes to different users.

I guess, you need to increase heap size in JVM of J2EE. I should be at least 1GB.
Please have a look at SAP Note : 710146 for how to change heap size in JVM of J2EE.

  • Unable to customise Tab (color) in Portal Theme through Theme Editor

    Hi Everyone ,
I m working  on Themes in Portal 7.0 . I have customised the theme but dont know why i m not able to customise Tabs (Color) .
Like When u click on System Administration ->System Configuration ->system landcape -> (There is second menu with Browse & Search ) and Overview of System Landscape pic in the Content area.
Here Browse / Search / Overview are still apperaing in black color  .. i want to edit these and give some background color to that panel as well

    Hi Shivani,
You would be able to change the colors on the tab by changing the following in the Theme Editor
    1. Old BSP Tabstrip under Component-Specific Styles
    2. Tabstrip element under Complex Elements
The first one is to do with your requirement of changing the colors of the tab shown in the standard portal iViews. The webdynpro tabstrips would respect the settings under the Complex Elements.
Well here's a caveat. Once you specify what colors you want for the tabs, you would also have to create images (Transition images, Starter images, End images) for the tabs in question so that they blend into the transitions smoothly.
    Hope it helps,
    Prathamesh

  • Use Enterprise portal theme for Web Client

    Hi Experts,
I am new to this topic.
I am working in portal project. We have situation that in portal we have excellent theme but in CRM Web client we donu2019t have fantasy theme like portal.
Is there anyway can I use my portal theme for CRM web client?
If you guide me how to integrate portal theme into CRM Web UIs, that will be great.
    Thanks.

    Ashok,
There is no easy way to extend your portal theme to the CRM WebClient. Lot of effort is needed for identifying the portal CSS files and updating CRm WebClient theme CSS files with the portal theme attribute values.
    Thanks,

  • Apply custom themes to WebDynpro ABAP application in Portal

    Hi,
We have just upgraded the E-Recruitment to EHP4. We have two instances of ECC in which one acts as HR instance and the other one for E-Recruitmet. We have created custom themes for portal and need to apply the same for the WebDynpro ABAP applications for E-REcruitment. Is there any other way to apply themes for WD ABAP applications. I dont want to customize the standard applications and just want to apply the themes.

you can try these links for adding Themes to a Web Dynpro Application ... You can create your own theme with your company logo ... Optionally there are a few sample themes available ..
    1) http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d2b1d790-0201-0010-25b7-d1fb059a8ad9?overridelayout=true&quicklink=index
You can check this link below in which they have discussed about adding themes to the WD application ..

For portal themes you have already applied it but still

  • How i can force a portlet of JSC to accept portal theme ?

    Hi
Thank you for reading my post.
is there any way to force the portlet to accept the portal theme ?
for example i developed the portlet using JSC and it has blue them , now it should accept the them that portal administrator or user select from themes available in portal.
    so ,
How i can force a JSC portlet to accept the portal them?
    Thank you

    Thank you for reply.
is there any solution, workaround ,.... for now ?
What about the time that a patch , fix come available ?
is it in next one month ?
without that portlet development does not go anywhere because people can not design a them for portlet and Portal separately.
    Thank you.

    Check this link
Re: Portal Branding - user specific.
    Create a portal Desktop
System Administration --> Portal Display --> Desktops and Display rules
Expand the Portal content. Create your own folder.
Then go to Portal content --> Portal users --> Standard portal users -->Default framework page. Copy this Default framework page and place in the folder you created.
Right click on the created folder and create new desktop.
Now Right click on the copied default framework page and Select Add Frameworkpage to Portal Desktop.
Now go to the place where you created the Theme and right click the theme and select Add theme to portal Desktop.
Now in the creation of the new portal desktop select the entries and select the button "Set Default" for both the options and then save

  • Themes and CSS. Portal Look&Feel

    Hello,
We've modified standard themes from portal. Are SAP Chrome SAP Streamline, SAP Tradeshow
CSS files? Please, we need to know if we can upload CSS file (made by ourserlves) to portal and add it to a user.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
The standard SAP themes are made up of a number of CSS files that are custom to SAP. You can modify them to create your own themes, however it is not a simple exercise of just uploading your own CSS files.
In general you should use the standard Theme Editor available to administrators in the Portal.
    Hope this helps,
    Simon
