If you have a 865 motherboard 90% of users and 100% of moderators recomend that you   using CoreCenter immediately!  They recommend SpeedFan instead.
Their are only a few of us with 875P Neo FIS2R motherboard who have absolutely no problem with CoreCenter.  Why I don't know.   But if I was to guess, I would say is because we use top of the line products.

  • MSI GE620 can't boot to windows after installing CoreCenter 2.0.6.8

I have made a very huge mistake by installing an overclocking software without knowing anything about overclocking :(
Here is what I have done
    - I installed CoreCenter version 2.0.6.8, after the installation finished it ask me to reboot the system, so I reboot.
    - First my system won't shutdown it tell be that S-Bar (an toolbar that come with my GE 620 laptop) prevent me from shutdown, so I hit force shutdown. Then the system started to shutdown but it stuck at windows logo (Shutting down screen) so I hold down the power button to force turn off
    - Windows gives me an option to boot into safe mode (because I hold down the power button and it is unexpected shutdown), I hit start Windows normally
    - It goes into a Windows logo screen like normal, but it won't boot. It's just stuck at the Windows logo screen. At this time I tell myself "OMG what I have done!???"
    - I try most option in a boot option (not sure what it called, it's a menu brings up when you press F8). I tried boot into safe mode, safe mode with cmd (both stuck at loading disk.sys), repair system, enable low res (640x480), last known good config, Directory service restore mode and debugging mode. None of them are able to boot.
    - I grab a Windows 7 Ultimate repair disc that I have created long time ago. And.... "Oh no! It even cannot boot into a repair disc!"
    - I give a Hiren's BootCD 15.2 a try. I boot Mini XP from that disc and..... It can't even boot XP from the CD.
    - Ok Ok, maybe it mess something with BIOS setting, I press DEL into a BIOS setting (I believed) and hit restore all setting to default. Unfortunately, my system still won't boot.
Any idea of how I can uninstall this CoreCenter or any clues that what it have done to my system?
The only thing I know for now is just re-installing Windows, but I need to backup some data in C:/ first. I think I can install windows without formatting and backup some data and re-install it with format.
    My system information
MSI GE620 laptop (All of hardware is stock, I didn't change anything. Just install extra 4 GB of RAM)
    CPU: Core i7 2630QM
    GPU: nVidia GeForce GT 540M / 1 GB DDR3
    RAM: 8 GB
    OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Update: I can't even boot from a Windows 7 installation disc!! *cry*

Having not yet installed Developer 6 on my own system, (still running most recent 200 version), I can't be exactly sure. However your problem sounds a lot like the problem I encountered in trying to get my Dev 2000 install to connect.
Here are some things to check:
    Is your listener running?
Is your listener properly configured to look for your host machine?
Look in the Oracle Net 8 Assitant utility and see how many listeners have been established. This is where my problem existed. I had 2 listeners. One was trying to connect to my loop back address (127.0.0.1) and could not. The other was properly configured for my host address but would not run because of the failure of the other. Once I removed the listener the was using the loop back address things began to work.
Make sure you have the appropriate alias set up through SQL Net Easy Config and/or Net8 Config.
Thats all I can think of for now.
Hope something I said will help.

  • Decreased performance with CoreCenter 1.6.2.0

I just recently upgraded CoreCenter from 1.6.0.0 to 1.6.2.0.   I had no problems with the original, but decided it was time to upgrade.  I noticed right away that my voltages were now being reported differently, closer to what they should be.  However, since installing the new version, I noticed that Outlook Express runs slower and I consistently get .75 FPS slower in Aquamark 3.  This is not a big deal, but it still shouldn't happen.  With v1.6.0.0 running in the background with C 'n Q enabled, I always got 31.25 or 31.26 FPS (at least 10 different runs).  With v1.6.2.0, I always get 30.54 or 30.55 FPS (4 runs) and I notice hesitations at several points throughout the benchmark.  I tried closing down Corecenter and got 31.26 FPS with no hesitation.  Also, I have noticed when the computer is sitting idle, the frequency in CoreCenter keeps bouncing around.  This tells me that CoreCenter is definitely the problem.  This did not happen with v1.6.0.0.  I have tried several reboots and I have even uninstalled CoreCenter and re-installed it with LiveUpdate.  Does anyone else have this same problem?  I always like to keep CoreCenter running, but it looks like I can't anymore.  I would re-install v1.6.0.0, but since I used LiveUpdate, it's gone.  Does anyone out there have a copy of v1.6.0.0, or better yet, a solution?

i've noticed with the new core center that the fan speed will randomly rise (to an audible level) even when CnQ is keeping the cpu at 800mhz. The only way to slow the fan down again is to close core center and start it again. The settings I use haven't canged, the only cause could be the new core center software.
I haven't updated to the 1.4 bios but I'm about to do that so if things change i'll post back here.

  • [875P Neo Series] CoreCenter and auto-mode

    Hi
Every time I restart my computer (windows xp) I need to click on Auto Mode of Core Center to have  the fans slow down. Looks like I can't make Corecenter to automatically start in auto-mode.
Does anyone have the same problem? Is  there any solution?
     Tanks
    Roce

Check in BIOS the temp to which the fans are set to increase. If it is low (30-40) increase it to 45-50c.

  • CoreCenter failed to load

I'm a new owner of a MSI 865PE Neo2 motherboard and I'm running into a problem.  I put CoreCenter into my startup sequence and I notice that ocassionally I get a message "CoreCenter failed to load" and then "No Hardware Monitor".  After those two messages Windows suddenly exits and I reboot.  Is there something wrong with my motherboard?
On the second boot after this problem I get a message from Windows XP that it has recovered from a serious error.  Details regarding the error are that a driver failed but Windows couldn't determine which driver or why it failed.  Core center does manage to load the second time and everything appears to run fine.  It is worrying, though.  Justified worrying?

    Hi,
I had the same problem before and more complecated may be. :P
Try thise;  Remove the corecenter from the starup folder.  Instate, you need to manually load the corecenter after the windows is fully loaded.  I suspect that the driver loading is slower then the corecenter app loading.
    Good luck.

  • Question about heat & system fan ? with Corecenter software?

    hello guys,
i am having some strange experience well i just happened to clean my CPU well just external clean with cloth well then when i started i heard sound of some sort it turned out to be a plastic piece with the fan anyway i just did not do anything else well recently my CPU is very running cool i mean does System temeperature goes high will my CPU fan go high too i mean i dont' get a reading for my System fan speed in corecenter why ? can i do something about it please tell me. ? should i check the inside of my CPU well i am no expert but i am still ameteure well what do you say

I don't think CoreCenter uses the system temperature to control fan speed.
Is your cpu fan still working? When you say a plastic piece is broken, do you mean a fan blade? If so you should replace the fan.

  • CoreCenter okward behavior?

    hello guys,  ,
so some guys replied to my corecenter behavior problem, well here is more trouble for them ok, here goes . Now my corecenter was running my PC fan at 2400-2600 RPM now after a few days it has not been as hot as 37 C or more in my City so now my CPU fan is running at the moment at 3245 RPM . well when i start my computer it is 2909-2960 then it shifts to 3125-3245. the system temperature according to CC is 36 C  . So guys what do u think i have not done anything except the following .
    Reinstalled windows xp SP2
    installed latest INF intel software
    Intalled Latest core Center 1.7.3.0.
Now my CPU temperature of Prescott is 46-47 C as average at doing nothing except net using .
So guys is this corecenter crazy?  .
What is going on . As most of u have asked for info of my CPU here it is .

    1. start computer

    3. CPU fan speed increases to 3125-3245 RPM temp is 35-37
    4. Start heavy game like medal of honor or something
    5. CPU fan speed adjusts to 2200-2300-2400 RPM
Thats strange. It should be like this:
    1. start computer
    2. CPU fan speed is 3125-3245 RPM, room temp is 34-36 C
3.CoreCenter stars up, adjust CPU fan speed to 2200-2300 RPM, temp is 35-37
    4. Start heavy game like medal of honor or something
    5. CPU fan speed adjusts to 3125-3245 RPM
This is what its like in my system. Higher temp=>higher fan speed.
It is the CPU temp you are talking about, right?
Do you have any fan speed settings in BIOS?

  • CoreCenter: "The motherboard is not supported"

    Hi,
When I let CoreCenter start with Windows, I often (4 of the 5 times) get these messages.
This only occures when CoreCenter start with Windows. If I start the program manually, it doesn't display these messages.
I don't understand this, because I definately have the MSI K8N Neo Platinum.

    Hi guys.
I think it is a problem of sofware sync. I think core center stars when not all needed services are running and it gives this error. If you starts Core Center manually this does not happen because, normally, all services are running yet.
    Please try this and repost:
Remove Core Center from the start up of the star->Programs->start
    Open start->control panel->Performance and maintenance->Programed task
Add a task to run Core Center, you can program this task for running Core Center at system startup or session start. Please play with both options and repost the result, may be Core Center take a little longer to start and all needed software services are running yet.
    Good luck.

  • Corecenter doesn't show voltage correctly

    Hi everybody,
I have one 875P (MS-6758)and i'm using the latest Corecenter version, BIOS version is 1.6. In the BIOS I have the CPU voltage at 1.550v as well in Corecenter for one P4 3ghz and I was wondering why in hell Corecenter was giving me readings of 1.63v till 1.66v for Vcore despite having the given setting. So yesterday I was trying to understand this when I noticed that the closest voltage to 1.63/1.66 was the  AGP voltage that I have adjusted at 1.6v and wich of course
it's not monitored in Corecenter. So I thought "could be some software missreading?" Let's do some testing: I adjusted AGP voltage to 1.7v and "voilá" Corecenter showed up Vcore as 1.76v, but give it another try, adjusted AGP to 1.5v, result: Vcore came as 1.54v, but yet another try, AGP voltage to 1.8v and Vcore indicated  1.84v.
    Can anyone confirm this?

    dmaia,
Assuming you already have the latest Corecenter version installed.
CoreCenter could be reading the correct value. The BIOS settings only "digitally" set the voltage to supply to the CPU. However, in actual that depends on the capability of your power supply, such as the +12V is it 12.00V ? +5V is it 5.00V?? All these will affect the actual voltage output to the CPU, which is beyond the control of the BIOS.
This is not a true bug for CoreCenter. You might want to check your PSU voltage rails.

I update BIOS from 1.9 to 2.0 and I cant use corecenter. when I open it system resarts. its same in your systems and what is its solution?

Core-Center; is still a Project in the Works, as you can Read the "Sticky" at the Top of this Page. And because of this, it is NOT Recomended for use with the P4 Boards as of yet.......And what "Del Uk" was refering to when he asked for "More info", was if you could Please create a "Signature" by Using your "Forum User controll Panel", we ask this so if a member has a Problem or Question about his or Her system we can Look at his Sig. and see if perhaps he has a certain componant that we know of to have issues, and not only that, As it is very hard to even begin to help with a question if we dont even know what Operating system that you are running .......Just take a look at some of the other members "Signatures" and you will have an idea as to what we are looking for ...I am not Trying to be rude, but if you really wind up having an Issue and you dont have a "Signature" either you will not recieve all of the help that you would otherwise or you will be sent Here>>> https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?threadid=38822&sid=   .................Sean REILLY875

  • Neo4 Ultra Plat. / Opty 175 / Corecenter 2.0.2.1 errors on boot :(

Heya., Been running my Neo4 Ultra Plat. since they first came out. This is a PCB v1.0. Thought i'd pop a Opty 175 in it and test drive it. It's running the latest 1D bios and all the most recent drivers. It's really odd Corecenter installs fine and runs ok but soon as I reboot if fails at life during system boot. Maybe 1 outta 10 times it won't error. Once it errors it just refuses to run period. So for fun I wrote a .exe to exec CoreCenter 60secs later on start to let everything else finish loading but with still the same problems. Is this latest CoreCenter compatible with DualCore procs. ?

It is running the newest AMD DC drivers. The CoreCenter is this one:

  • Problems starting and running corecenter

    Hi!
I installed the new corecenter53.exe on a fresh Windows XP Professional SP1.
I rebooted, Corecenter.exe starts automatically. I can see, that the program is running in Task Manager, but I can't access it. It runs in the background with 50% CPU Usage.
    I have a MSI 865PE FISR2 Mainboard with a 2,4 C Pentium 4.
I uninstalled and reistalled Corecenter.exe and tried to remove it from autostart and started it manually, but that didn't help.
    Any Ideas?

If your problem is to access the main program try browsing:
    C:\Program Files\MSI\Core Center\CoreCenter.exe
That should do it. Unless the installation is corrupt somehow. You didn't do any WindowsUpdates after installing CoreCenter did you?

  • CoreCenter won't launch (multi user env)

    Hi all
I have a K8N Neo4 Platinum for some years and the CoreCenter soft V2.0.2.4 (latest)
CoreCenter will launch OK whenever the first user with full rights logs into the (XP SP3) PC... but:
When a second user with full rights logs in, he gets error messages: CoreCenter: "Failed to load Hardware Monitor Driver !" then 'No Hardware Monitor !" then ~"FuzzyPWM MFC Application program encountered and error and had to close" (4 times, then etc... i.e. the bunch of the classic MS errors popup to send them the error logs).
If the user that logs in has a limited account (whatever first or not to login, he gets the same errors than above.)
I try  to remove/reinstall.. still the same.
The CoreCenter is launched from the All Users\Startup folder and that may be the reason why it tries to lauch as many times as a user log in. It should be a service, loading even before first login, running for everybody for the warnings feature, but with settings limited to admin users, because of OC and other critical thresholds settings.
How to do to gain this behaviour please?
    Thanks

It was to get online warnings when a fan dies or overheat inside the box, all that with customizable thresholds.
I have my board in an Antec P180 case with a huge heatsink on the nF4 chip (stock little-too-speedy-too-noisy-chity fan died) and a sunon fan (w/o speed sensor) and I want at least have a online view if everything is OK with System & CPU fans & temp. My case could easily grow in temperature with its 8 HD and fanless video board 6600GT.
Just though I could rely on the supplied software.
About the harware, I already had to change a leaky cap.

  • CoreCenter error, please help me!

The error happens when I log off and log in to another user (Win XP Pro) I get this message:
"Failed to load hardware monitor driver !"
When I click "ok", this one comes up:
    "No Hardware Monitor"
The next thing is not that fun, the computer turns off!
    Anyone having the same problem?

    Hi Mitch66,
I dun think that corecenter has anything to do with the errors... Mostly, I think is caused by drivers being installed for the other account...

MSI, please, pretty please fix this.

I had the same problem.  I just uninstalled Core Center, rebooted, logged back in, re-installed core center..before rebooting again, I cut the core center from the startup folder and pasted it to my desktop...I rebooted, and I never had a problem since.  I've been going strong for almost 2 months.  When I want to use the corecenter, I just double click on it from my desktop and then it minimizes to my system tray and it works fine from there.

  • Something wrong with CoreCenter??

    Hi!
I just bought my new MB (MSI 875P Neo) and I have something that I would like to know. When I open CoreCenter ver 1.6 everything works normally but as soon as I want to change the value of the FSB (it´s always running in 202 MHz and I want to take it down to 200MHz) the computer just stops working (have to turn off the power to get it restarted).
Does anybody know what it could be?
    Thanks!!
