Corporate Email Setup - Help

I need some help setting up a corporate email on my MBA. The [email protected] does not work. I get a certificate problem and asked if I want to "trust" and "connect" anyways. I click "yes" but nothing happens. Can someone help me out? Just switched from a PC and would hate to return it because of this problem.

Hi Voodoo
It's a bit difficult to tell as your IT dept may well have set specific requirements or restrictions.
What I can say is that I can get Mail to connect fine to our corporate Exchange account, but I know that our IT team have allowed such connections. On the other hand, my wife's IT team have specifically blocked anything other than Outlook via a web browser or Citrix.
Have you previously accessed this account from, say, Outlook on a PC from outside of the office network? If so, can you recall what settings you used?
Otherwise I would search your office intranet for advice, or call your IT people for help with the settings.
Good luck.
Adam

  • Corporate email setup issues

Hello - Just upgraded a Razr M to an LG G3 @ Target and while I've been able to get my yahoo, google and comcast emails setup my corporate one won't cooperate.  I've tried the exact settings I had in my Razr M without luck.   Any ideas?  Target was also unable, despite several attempts, to bring my contacts over via the SIM card.  Appreciate any assistance.

    1. go to messages icon >options> general options and set sent items to no
    2. if you get that message, that means there is a BIS account present for this PIN, call your service provider and they will release your PIn and you can create new BIS account and add personal email accounts

  • Blackberry Bold 9650 GMAIL EMAIL SETUP HELP

So, I had to pull out my old Blackberry Bold 9650 for the time being and am trying to add my additional email accounts. I had no trouble adding my hotmail and yahoo ones but it keeps giving me an error when trying to add my gmail accounts. The error says "Invalid email address or password. Verify your email address and password. If the error persists, contact gmail.com" I have tried this, no exaggeration, around 50 times. I have even triple checked that I have put in the correct email and password by using my laptop and it is absolutely not working on my phone. PLEASE HELP!

  • Yahoo Plus Email Setup HELP

Ok I am beyond lost at this point.  I have a yahoo plus email account.  I have tried several times to set it up and when I do I keep getting this message:
The SMTP server “plus.smtp.yahoo.com” is not responding. Try checking the network connection, and that the server name is correct. Otherwise, the server might be temporarily unavailable. If you continue, you might not be able to send messages.
When I have actually gone past the message and tried to set up the account, it won't let me set a message out!

This will not change automatically with the iPhone's email client or with any email client used to access the account.
When using the Yahoo account preset when creating the account on the iPhone, it isn't possible to change the incoming or outgoing mail server settings.
You must delete and recreate the account.

  • Bellsouth email setup help

Hey everyone, I'm a noob on this discussion board so please bear with me. I have the iPhone 4 and have been trying to set up my bellsouth email account. I had the 3G previously and had it set up on that device, however I cannot set it up using the same settings. I spoke with an AT&T rep when I first got it and they had me set it up using the Yahoo email option, but it does not deliver my email like it did before. It delivers my email into different locations on the account now like the inbox, bulk, and personal and I am very unhappy about that. Also when I delete an email it deletes it off the server also and there is no option to not let it do that. I use this bellsouth account for my work email so I also need my emails to show up on my email when I get to work in the mornings. If someone could point me in the right direction of how to set this up like it was on my 3G then I would be grateful. It basically was like setting it up as a POP3 type email.

Check your server settings, and make sure that under the Bellsouth account the iphone is trying to use the bellsouth servers you were provided. I think, if you don't specify them, it defaults to the mobileme server. Also, make sure your account info is entered correctly. For example, you might have to enter the username as the full email address (and not just the name before the '@'). And of course, remember that caps counts in passwords.

  • Help please - Bricked Phone - Now no email setup or app installation possible!

    Hello,
I'm new here and I've searched your posts looking for a solution to my problem but nothing seems to work.
My phone (curve 8520) was bricked/nuked and I fixed it following these instructions http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101-lecture-12-how-reload-operating-system-nuked-blackberry.
All went well except for the fact that I lost the email setup icon on my phone.
I tried using this link http://www.mobileemail.vodafone.pt/ but they tell me I have to use my phone to do it. When I try it using my phone it won't let me and I receive a message telling me that I need to contact my network provider.
After this I tried a security wipe. Nothing.
Today I tried installing facebook and got this message "Download Failed 907 Invalid COD"
After that I tried following these steps http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Bold/Done-a-Security-Wipe-and-now-can-t-set-up-my-... but I dont get any message after registering HRT (http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB00510&sliceId=2&cmd=displayKC&d...
Does anyone know what's wrong with my phone? Can it be fixed?
I need email on my phone for work...
    Thanks!

Given that, you need to talk to your mobile service provider...it is their network that your BB must attach to, and for some reason it is not doing so. But, since it is their network, you need their formal support to resolve this.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Using my work email setup on my iPhone 5 I am  unable to send the email on my own hotmail account. Please help !!

Using my work email setup on my iPhone 5 I am able to send emails to all my colleagues on same network but I am unable to send the email on my own hotmail account. Please help !!
I have setup email using POP settings.

Okay, so you are sending mail from a work account on the iPhone 5, however if you try to send it to your hotmail or gmail accounts from the same work account, they are not received on the hotmail or gmail account? Is that correct?
YES - (The message is shown as delivered as its moved to sent folder)
Then secondly, if you attempt to send mail to anyone from the hotmail or gmail accounts on the phone to anyone at all, they show sent but never arrive. Is that correct?
NO - I dont have any hotmail/gmail account setup on my phone. Its a new work phone and I only have work email account setup on the phone. I was just trying to send a test email to my hotmail and gmail account but failed to receive those using my work email account on iphone 5.
I have tried receiving email on my work account on iphone, sent from my hotmail account (using web) and received it.
Incoming is all fine and I am able to receive emails from all sources but outgoing is only sucessful if I send it to anyone using my company's email account.
Sorry if my question wasn't clear earlier. I really need to fix this..
    Best regards,

  • Bold 9700 not starting up after email setup update 6.11. Need help with a mac!!!

I installed the official os 6 on my blackberry released by O2 over a month back. Yesterday, I was not able to configure any emails without downloaed the new version of the email setup 6.11. After the install, I was needed to reboot the phone. However, since then the phone is not switching on. That initial page comes with the Blackberry logo and that status bar (which shows completed) but never leaves that page!!
    Someone please please help!!!!

I got mine to work by reinstalling OS 6 via the Blackberry Desktop software, but because I restored my backup as well as my old settings for email, my emails are still coming through provided I don't change my passwords as I can't get into settings without being asked to update as well. It means I won't be able to get my exchange emails as we always have to change/verify passwords periodically. The weirdest thing is that I no longer have maps and password keeper....

  • Easier way to view phone call logs? Also, help with email setup...

    1.  On my 8220 it's not very efficient to view past call logs and or missed calls.  I have to go into my Messages folder, click the menu button, scroll down to 'view folder' and then scroll down to my 'Phone Call Logs'.  Is there a way to create a folder dedicated to viewing call logs and my missed calls on my home screen without going through all that timely navigating?  Is there a special download for this application?  I've seen this folder on the BB 101 tutorial webpage.
I'm with Rogers Wireless if that helps.
    2.  When I select the Email Setup it only gives me the the option to "I want to use a work email account with a BlackBey Enterprise Server" and no option for the "I want to create or add an email address" which I see on the BB 101 tutorial webpage.  Well, I'd like to create or add an email address.  How can I get that option on my phone?
Oh and one more thing, is the 8220 able to run the BB maps application?
    Any help is much appreciated!

    1) While in your messages folder, try pressing ALT + P to bring up the phone logs without all the navigating. (I know that works on other BB models, I don't know on the 8220).
    2) Do you have a BB Data Plan on your carrier account? Once it is , you will get the personal email setup icon.

  • E72 email setup problems. Please help

I am trying for some time now to set up my email account on my new Nokia E72 without any succes. I hit the email setup button, chose the right acces point provided by the mobile company and after I enter the email and password the mesage "maximum number connections in use. Close an active connection first" appears. Here I only have two options OK or CANCEL. Hitting CANCEL it just gets out of what I was doing. Hitting OK it only gives me the acces point which I am using without any other option so I have to close it. Could anyone help me with this problem please?

Then you better check if other apps like Facebook, Worldmate, etc.. use connections.

  • There is no option to add an email account in the email setup settings please for your help!!

    Hi everybody,
i just became fan of blackberry. i am trying to set up the email i already have in my yahoo account.
I am following the guide and i go to setup email settings. However, there is just the option of  "I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server".
is there any other way to set up my yahoo account in my device?
thanks a lot for your help!!
    Regards
    Dimitris

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
To use the proprietary RIM Push email capability, you must have an adequate data plan from your carrier. The carriers host BIS for their BB users. Typically, BIS is not available via generic data plans. Many carriers call what is necessary The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever they call it, it is the carrier who delivers BIS to their BB users -- contact them for assistance. Once you have a BIS-capable data plan on your BB (at whatever fees your carrier will charge, btw), you should then have Personal Email added to the email setup wizard.
    Good luck!

  • Email Setup - Please Help!

I'm trying to complete the setup wizard on my Curve 8520 but when I go to Email Setup there doesn't seem to be an option for personal email addresses, only for work email accounts. Can anyone tell me how to find the non-work option? Thanks x

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?
You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as addtional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.
So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.
    Good luck.
