Corporate Exchange Email setup

I got my device connected with our exchange server.  When I click on the message icon.. I always get dumped into my email's sent items folder first.  Anyway of setting the inbox by default?
Also when I had my Yahoo email setup it would display emails from both systems in the same folder.  Is there a way to keep those two seperate from each other?
Thanks.

Yup.. you are right. I messed up and mis-read what that post said.  But at least I like that I got those seperated out now as well.

  • Exchange email setup

    Hi,
I have to setup Exchange email on 6 new iPad's. This is relatively straight forward, however I'm struggling with the following.
Connected to the internal wireless network I have to setup the server name of our exchange on the ipad as the internal name of the mail server, i.e. ex01.mycompany.com
However externally this doesn't work. To get the iPad email to work outside of the internal network I have to use the name of my external MX record, i.e. mx01.mycompany.com
Now this isnt ideal as I don't want users to have to keep changing the server name.
I've read in a couple of places about creating an internal dns record for mx01.mycompany.com with the internal IP address of the mail server but not sure if this is the way to go.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Mojo

Using the owa address internally doesn't work because that address only resolves externally. If i want to use owa internally I have to use the name of the exchange server, i.e. ex01.mycompany.com rather than webmail.mycompany.com.

  • Corporate Exchange email issue

I am having serious issues here. I use outlook from our corp. exchange server and before this phone i accesses it on my windows mobile phone using Outlook Web Access. My issues with the Pre are as follows: Whenever I reply to all or just reply to a multi-threaded email with multiple recipients, my message and email signature is able to be viewed by the others in the chain but all the previous emails and email signatures of everyone else who reply to the email lose all formatting. The rest of the thread appears single spaced with line after line with no spaces or formating. This makes it impossible for others to follow the email chain because my email from the pre destroys the formatting of the email chain.
Please help as I have to make a decision about this phone and send a review to my employees and associates in our company. We are looking to move from either windows mobile and the iPhone to the Pre but if this capability is not there, the phone will be of no use for us.

Other users have reported this as well.

I think the iPhone (with latest software) provides slickness with newfound maturity, while Windows Mobile wins for compability. The Pre's webOS will come into its own over time, but remember, you are evaluating a 1.0 OS.

  • Exchange email setup issue

I have a client with a new new Ipad and only able to view some much of the inbox is there a way to view more.

Settings -> Mail -> Show -> set the appropriate number of recent messages to show
    and
Settings -> Mail -> select the Exchange account. In the window that pops up, there's a setting for how many days back to sync.
    Regards.

  • Can't send pictures via exchange email

I just got my Galaxy S III.  I also have a Galaxy Note(1st gen).  The SIII is a lot faster in all aspects.
I'm having one issue though.  I am unable to email any pictures using my Corporate Exchange email account.  It just gets stuck in the Outbox and I get a notification that the email failed to send.  I can send other types of files as attachements.  I am able to send a picture using my hotmail account.  On my Note I am able to send pictures from my exchange account.
Is their another setting in android that blocks this?  I've checked but I can't find one.

I am having this issue with trying to send pictures from my email applications in my phone. I use Yahoo, but not the Yahoo app. I also tried to use my work email to attach the picture to and send. In both instances, Yahoo and work email, I get a "Failure " message in my outbox of the email application when I look to see if the photo sent. I have received pictures via text before, no problem. I also tried turning of bluetooth, even though where I am currently located there is no wifi/bluetooth to connect to.
    Thanks

  • FRG01B - cannot connect to Exchange email

    Hi
My Droid just prompted me with the OTA update and after installing it, I cannot seem to connect to the corporate exchange email server. I have tried reseting the device, removing the account and adding it back on - but every time it comes back with error "unable to open connection to server".
I was using this email account without any problems till this update.
I've also tried accepting the certificate using OWA and then tried configuring Exchange as normal to no avail. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks,
    --Tom

I sent the IT guys both PDF files recommended by Verizon and Motorola support.  They made the changes to the exchange server.  It did not fix the problem.
I now have 3 phones that have been updated to 2.2 that have broken exchange email.  Touchdown is the only thing that is working, but I don't want to spend another $20 to fix something that Verizon and Motorola BROKE.

  • Replying to Exchange Emails Strips Headers!!!!!

I have my Samsung Fascinate synchronizing with my corporate Exchange email via ActiveSync.  Seems to work fine.  HOWEVER, when I reply to or forward emails, it completely strips the headers!!!  What gives???
When I forward an email to another person, that person has no idea who the previous email was from since the headers are stripped!
I replied to an email today, the email below shows my reply.  As you can see there are NO HEADERS!  I used to reply from my Blackberry and it would include the following fields:  from, to, cc, date, time.
    Please help!!
Thank you very much for the update
Sent from my Verizon Wireless Phone
Here is the update.  Everything went fine. The PC was reimaged, and the mouse was replaced.

Seriously?  No one has this issue?
Another problem cropped up this week.  None of my POP emails are synching!!  Absolutely FRUSTRATING!!!

  • Default email app cannot setup exchange email account, but Touchdown app can

Hello, I have been trying for two days to setup an exchange email account (my work's account) in a Xperia Z3 with no success. It works fine with my iphone and it also works fine in all my colleagues Android phones. In my Xperia I go to add new account --> put my email account and username --> select exchange activesync --> and I put my doman\username, password, server, SSL and also leave the 443 port (though I have tried many aleternatives), but it can never connect.
I was thinking about returning my Xperia as I need my work's email and calendar in my phone, but then I downloaded the Touchdown app whic is an email app for exchange accounts. I used the exact same setup configuration and it worked flawlessly.
The issue is that I still would like to use my default email app for all my email accounts, including exchange. Is anybody having the same issue? Is it a bug in the Xperias Z3 email app? Will it be solved? Now I am using the Touchdown app (it costs 20 $) but in my opinion Sony's email app should solve this issue.
Thanks in advance for your help

I am having the same issue with my Sony Xperia Z3v. This is now the second Sony phone in as many weeks I have tried neither functions properly with exchange email. My corporate email is with rackspace.com and while I can go in and set up the account the phone does NOT recieve emails via push. I only get emails when I manually have the email application refresh. Calendars and tasks also DO NOT sync automatically via push. I really need a fix for this or I'm going to have to send this device back to verizon for a Samsung phone. I like many of the features of the sony device over the samsung but Email is a major problem for me this being a company phone.

  • I have an iphone 5 with ios 6. I am trying to setup a new exchange email account. I need the backslash but it is not available. I can find it on other apps but not when trying to set up the mail account. (it is not on the  keyboard)

I have an iphone 4s with ios 6. I am trying to setup a new exchange email account. I need the back slash but it does not show up on the keyboard. I know it is supposed to be on the +key (and is for other apps) but for some reason it is not available when setting up an email account. Is this on purpose or am I doing something wrong?

I can tell you that with Sprint their coverage area isn't as good as Verizon or AT&T.
Are you sending these imessage while on wifi or cellular data?  Also your husband would need to be in a good coverage area.
Usually when imessage is unavailable it will send it as a text.  Does your husband receive your imessage as a text?

  • Re: No Android Search for Corporate / MS Exchange Email?  TouchDown / other apps?

If you go into your inbox, you should have a magnifying glass at the bottom along with the new mail icon, folder select, refresh and options.  The magnifying glass will let you search your emails.  Not sure why the main Google Search function will not search emails, but I have used the search function from within my Corporate Exchange Mailbox.  The search is not perfect, but it seems to search within emails, subject lines and email addresses.
    Hope this helps.

I am on a VZ Galaxy Nexus stock version 4.0.2.  I do have the magnifying glass when I am in my corporate email account connected to my exchange server.  Strange thing is I just checked my two hotmail accounts that are set up as corporate accounts so I can use push for those, but neither of these accounts have the magnifying glass.
I checked the settings for each account, but dont see any differences.  I will keep searching to see if I can identify why the one account has the search funtionality but the others do not.
Long story short it is available, just have to determine what causes the difference.

  • Corporate Email Setup - Help

I need some help setting up a corporate email on my MBA. The [email protected] does not work. I get a certificate problem and asked if I want to "trust" and "connect" anyways. I click "yes" but nothing happens. Can someone help me out? Just switched from a PC and would hate to return it because of this problem.

    Hi Voodoo
It's a bit difficult to tell as your IT dept may well have set specific requirements or restrictions.
What I can say is that I can get Mail to connect fine to our corporate Exchange account, but I know that our IT team have allowed such connections. On the other hand, my wife's IT team have specifically blocked anything other than Outlook via a web browser or Citrix.
Have you previously accessed this account from, say, Outlook on a PC from outside of the office network? If so, can you recall what settings you used?
Otherwise I would search your office intranet for advice, or call your IT people for help with the settings.
    Good luck.

  • Corporate email setup issues

Hello - Just upgraded a Razr M to an LG G3 @ Target and while I've been able to get my yahoo, google and comcast emails setup my corporate one won't cooperate.  I've tried the exact settings I had in my Razr M without luck.   Any ideas?  Target was also unable, despite several attempts, to bring my contacts over via the SIM card.  Appreciate any assistance.

    1. go to messages icon >options> general options and set sent items to no
    2. if you get that message, that means there is a BIS account present for this PIN, call your service provider and they will release your PIn and you can create new BIS account and add personal email accounts
Click on KUDOS to appreciate our efforts and mark the thread RESOLVED if your issue is resolved.

  • [EWS][C#] Seding mail from Gmail using external SMTP server to map emails to corporate Exchange server (using EWS only)

I'm using my Gmail account as a aggregator for many email accounts and for sending using my customers SMTP servers.
Unfortunately one of my clients doesn't support sending emails from public internet by SMTP.
The only way to send emails is using their OWA or EWS and Gmail support SMTP only :-(
My idea is to customize any simple SMTP server in C# (ex.
    http://www.lumisoft.ee/lswww/eng/products/mail_server/mail_index_eng.aspx?type=download) and add feature "SendMailByEWS"
I have working demo for sending simple mail, but this solution is not complex. There are many pitfalls, like mail with CC:,BCC, attachments, parsing raw email, etc.
Any ideas to simply solve this issue?
    Thank you.

I have a similar problem. I have two Exchange email account:
    1. Gmail (default)
    2. Microsoft Exchange (work)
From my iPhone, I frequently email myself articles from other applications that I want to follow-up later. After upgrading to iOS7, when I type my Gmail ID in the 'To' field, the 'From' field automatially changes from my Gmail account to my work account. I didn't catch this the first few times this happened and was wondering what was going on as my emails started being sent from my work account.
Workaround for this case: Type in your To address first and then re-select the account to send From.
This is annoying and I hope Apple restores normal behavior.
