Correct entry to modify nsslapd-sizelimit

Value for nsslapd-sizelimit attribute is set to default=2000 in our current deployment. We want to increase it to 60000. As per Sun docs, there are 2 entries which contain this attribute: cn=config and cn=default instance config,cn=chaining database,cn=plugins,cn=config. Which would be the correct entry to modify and why?
Also, when I searched dse.ldif for nsslapd-sizelimit, it was present only under cn=config entry.
What would be the best way to modify it. I believe ldapmodify, since we it wouldn't require server restart. Isn't it?

As I mentioned, nsslapd-sizelimit was not found under cn=config entry in our dse.ldif. which means I need to add the attribute.
Also, why not cn=default instance config,cn=chaining database,cn=plugins,cn=config and why cn=config? Will appreciate your reply.

I have a client that is trying to read the LDAP repository
anonymously. I can obtain the first 2000 entries but get sizelimit exceeded from LDAP after that. The client is DataJunction, a tool that allows conversion between different types of data.
What other parameters do I have to change so that I can do a search larger then 2000 and extract all entries from LDAP. I currenly have 20,000 entries and wish to extract them to a flat file after come conversion.

Yes, it is possible to configure Directory Server to have no size limit.
If the client applications are not able to read fast enough the data returned by the server, it is possible that the time limit will be reached.
It is also possible to tune the time limit (and make it unlimited). I would not recommend this as there is a serious impact on the overall server performances, and its ability to serv mulitple clients properly.
Note that Directory Server 5 supports user based limits which allow to specify different limits for specific users.

u can do the same thru PA40 if u select 70 and 71 action types this screens are nothing bu the screens u see in PA41

When slapd is running it saves its pid in the file /var/run/slapd.pid
This allows other processes to find its pid to use to communicate with it.
You do not need to create this file.
also any one know the correct entry for
/var/run/slapd.args?
Similar to above, this is created by slapd. You don't need to worry about it.
The better question is why is slapd not running (assuming your machine is set up to be an OD Master).

You can disable auto-fill (I'm using this as well), but you can't delay this by having to enter the same name more than once.
You can set the Boolean pref signon.autofillForms to false on the about:config page.

Sync always sees calendar entries as "modified"

I have two computers that use dot-Mac to keep calendars (and everything else) in sync. For the past year or so, the two computers have been swapping turns seeing all recent calendar entries as "modified" when they sync with dot-Mac. This is hard to explain clearly, but I'll give it a shot.. One is a Mac Mini which is on all the time, and the other is a Macbook Pro (this also happened with my previous powerbook) which is on sometimes, and sleeping other times.
The issue goes like this:
1) Mac Mini syncs its calendar entries with dot-Mac. All is good.
2) If the MBP is turned on, it tries to sync and sees a large percentage of modified calendar entries; it asks for confirmation before completing the sync.
3) Without having touched any calendar entries on the MBP, the next time the Mini goes to sync it sees the same large number of modified entries and asks for confirmation before completing the sync.
If the MBP is left asleep, then when the Mini syncs it doesn't see any modifications and all is well. Likewise, if I turn off the Mini and ask the MBP to sync a few times, it sees no new modifications.
Both machines are fully up to date (as far as Software Update tells me).
I've tried doing things like completely blanking a machine and priming it with data from dot-Mac, and overwriting the dot-Mac database with the data from one machine or the other. Nothing I've though of so far has worked to clear this up.
Is anyone else seeing anything like this? Anyone have any suggestions?

Hi Andrei,
Just re-enter die AP Invoice the Credit Memo was based on. That way the accounting and warehousing legs will be managed by SBO.
Thus your trail will be
a. Create AP Invoice 1
b. Create AP Credit Memo 1 - for AP Invoice 1
c. Create AP Credit Memo 2 - for AP Invoice 1 (OOPS!!)
d Create AP Invoice 2 - for AP Credit Memo 2
Everything is as it were before creating AP Invoice 1.

In our case there are 2 records in the table ZZ, of which the FM should pick the latest record but it is picking the old record.
Can anyone please check where the error is and any correction I have to make inorder to rectify the error.
I suppose we need to change in the following line
PERFORM z1000_read_ZZ TABLES ZZ
                             USING get_first_entry.

You can sort the ZZ table records based on your logic by which you want to have the latest record.

Using lion 10.7.4, can`t login as administrator or root (both enabled) at login screen. it shows other but when selected it will not accept correct entry.

Try resetting administrator password or resetting home folder ACL's for root user.

Correct way to modify Advanced SQL in report

The actual Select on the Advanced tab is something like this:

in the advanced tab you need not mention the table name in from clause.
your trial 2 looks ok but remove the subject area name in the table name
try something like below,
SELECT Incidents."DATE" saw_0, Incidents."TYPE" saw_1, Defects."TYPE" saw_2, "Vessel and Boats"."NUMBER" saw_3
FROM "Vessel and Hull Defects Reporting" order by saw_0
PS:your incident and defects and vessel and boats table should have proper joins between them.

The query is correct but jdbc modify it !!

my query is

but jdbc automatically executes a second query:
SELECT COUNT(*), O.ID_PAGAMENTO, SUM (M.VALORE) FROM OPERAZIONI O, MOVIMENTI_MAGAZZINO M WHERE M.ID_OPERAZIONI = O.ID AND M.QUANTITA < 0
without the "GROUP BY" the query is wrong

huh?
So the only thing that you are doing is the first query. You are not creating the second one nor are you using a 3rd party library that creates it.
Then it has nothing to do with your first query. And so it doesn't matter whether it is wrong or not.
Now it could be that you are doing something in your java code that causes this. For example trying 'count' the number of rows returned by using 'last'. If so it suggests there is a bug in the driver.
But that doesn't matter. Obviously doing its own query. So you are saving nothing by using the last() method. So you might as well do the query yourself and do it correctly.

We are appling procedures from OSS notes 64636, 79083, 111691 and 518876 to re-structure the data in LIS tables
So we run tcodes OLIZ , OLI2 , OLI3 , OMO9 also run program RMCBNEUB. Check values in MC.5.
When we checked the entries only current month and previous period was updated.
How could I update all months starting from January of 2008? Is it necessary to open the periods in FI to do this ?

Need to correct entries after canceling a PGI

We posted a Goods Issue (PGI) on March 31, 2009. Due to some reason this PGI needs to be canceled. We did 602 mvt on April 1, 2009. The stock decreased on March 31, 2009 where-as increased again on April 1, 2009. Now we need to make a PGI again as on date March 31, 2009. But this is not possible as stock is not left as on 31/03/2009. How to correct the figures for 31/03/2009 to Issue the goods?
