Correct order for transporting BEx objects

Hello-
I have to transport following objects. They are all in separate transports. Can you tell me the correct order?
Variables.
User exit variables
Restricted key figures
Calculate key figures
Structures
Queries
Query views
Workbooks
Web templates
Thanks in advance.

can i start with cross questioning..
hw did u collect all these objects seperately in different requests.
as far as i know if u know u r transporting workbook and webtemplate, in same request collect all the objects
so all variables used within, all CKF,RKF formulaes, variables, user exits etc within the workbook or webtemplate
u can transport within same request
so u dnt hv to worry about elements used within and u jst hv to transport all together within same request
if tht doesnt solve
try to remove objects from request
login to se10
go to ur request
delet it and unlock it
and try to create new reqest and cllect all elements within 1 request and transport it.
let us know

  • Transporting BEx objects: objects not showing in request

I created a new request for Bex. but when i display the request in se10, i dont see the objects that I assigned to it. why is that

First you need to make sure you have written all your objects in one request and assigned to a transportable development class/package. If the request you have created is a local change request (you can see this in SE10), then delete this request or if it's a transportable request (when you click on the request, properties, you see a target client) then you have already assigned your objects to a transportable package, you can release this and then have it imported into your target system.
Alternatively you can delete your request(s), and then goto transport connector, accumulate the objects you need, when you scroll to the right you see a column by name "package", make sure you have the right package for all the objects (you can change the package name by right clicking and change the package) for all the objects and click on transport icon which will prompt you for a transport request or you can transport by using BEx transport (shiftctrl0). Hope it helps,

  • Transports: BEx Objects

While trying to transport some bex objects, I had to attach them to an existing Request. Is there a way I can create my own request for Bex Objects ??

    Farhan,
go to RSA1->Transport Connection->BEX (button with truck)...here you can see if you already have an available BEx request...if not create from this screen and then use it when the system gives you the option to choose a request...if yes, you can use this request to put your BEx objects ! (but in this last case, I would suggest to you to delete it from SE10 since you can run the risk to transport undesired object in your production environment!)
    Hope it helps!

  • Correct Order for BI+ services restart

    Hi All,
We have the below services in BI+ What is the correct order to start them.
    Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Core Services 1
    Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Interactive Reporting 1
Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Financial Reporting Java RMI Registry
Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Financial Reporting Print Server
Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Financial Reporting Report Server
Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Financial Reporting Scheduler Server
Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Financial Reporting Web application
    Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Web Analysis
    Hyperion S9 BI+ 9.3 Workspace

As long as you have the core services first then it should be fine,
personally I usually start the workspace web app after the core services but that is not essential.

  • Table for transport request objects

    Hi,
I need to copy the objects present in the transport request(Request/Modified) to any other transport request.
Can any body tell me the table that stores the information regarding transport request.
    Pooja

For your requirement you can do with menu bar options from the SE09 transaction,
Don't go for suggested table level changes,
Never in SAP system do any SAP table level change, you are invalidating your Service licence agreement in doing so. If any inconsistencies arise in production because of such recklessness then SAP will simply blame you. You can do as many changes in a Z table created by you but never in SAP tables.
Hope you understand what I meant!

  • The correct order for setting up VMs in a Virtual network

Sorry in advance if this has been asked but I couldn't locate it.
I'm upgrading an existing network. Current network has 2 Win Server 2008 r2 VMs. (1 running AD, exchange, sql, dhcp, dns, file services, terminal services. 2 running file services and print services)
The new setup will have 9 Win Server 2012 R2 VMs. 1.DC(AD, DNS, DHCP) 2. Backup DC 3. File Share(File and print services) 4. Admin/Management (RSAT) 5.Exchange (Exchange Server 2013) 6. Remote Desktop Services 7.SQL(SQL 2012) 8. SharePoint 9. Logging
In what order would you create these and migrate existing roles over? I'm thinking I can do it in the order listed 1-9. But does anyone see any potential issues with this?
    Thanks in advance.

It's worth getting your head round Bridge Mode and router mode as you can grind your network to a halt if they are misused.
Your ISP issues you with a single IP number which is your identity to the internet. The router part of your modem issues your various devices with new IP numbers - Network Address Translation - which are in a range of numbers for local use only. These numbers cannot be seen by the outside world.
If you now connect another router - such as an Airport Extreme or Express - and it starts issuing its own IP numbers, there is a danger that it will decide to issue a number which the first router has already put into use - 'double NAT'. This results in two devices with the same IP number, and chaos. In some cases you can get away with this as the AE probably issues numbers beginning with 10, and the other router may issue numbers beginning with 192.
However it's better to put the AE into 'bridge mode', so that it simply passes through the IP numbers allocated by the first router. This works perfectly well - I've done it myself for years and never any problems at all.
The exact method varies with your version of the Airport Utility. On older versions, open Applications/Utilities/Airport Utility. Select your Airport in the list and click 'Manual setup'. Click 'Internet' in the toolbar. Click the 'Internet Connection' tab if necessary. Set the 'Connection Sharing' menu to 'Off (Bridge Mode)'. Click 'Update' and wait for your AE to restart.
On the current version, open Applications/Utilities/Airport Utility. Click the image of your Airport and in the pop-up pane click ‘Edit’. In the pane which drops down, click the ‘Network’ tab. Set ‘Router Mode’ to ‘Off (Bridge Mode)’ and click ‘Update’; wait for your AE to restart.

  • Transporting an Object from Development to quality and then to Production

    Hello SAP Friends
I want to know the step by step navigation for Transporting an Object from Development to Quality and from there to production..
    Please give some detailed Navigation...

    Hi Kiran,
use transport connection to collect the objects to request, rsa1->transprot connection.
use infocube as starting point to collect objects, left side choose 'object type', middle frame choose 'infocube' expand 'select objects', locate/search your infocube' and 'transfer', it will go to right side.
in right up, there are buttons, click 'mode' and choose manual, and grouping 'only necessary objects', and execute, this will collect infocube and required objects like infoobjects, infoarea, etc.
after that change grouping 'in dataflow before' and execute, this will collect update rules, ods, infosource, transfer rules, datasource assigned etc.
remember to assign source system, click yellow box with X icon and mark the source system.
after that use grouping 'in dataflow afterwards' to collect query, web template, role etc.

  • Can't get tracks in correct order in playlist

I imported a 9 disc compilation into iTunes. In the individual playlist for each disc, I clicked "track" to organize the tracks in correct numerical order. When I created a Smart Playlist for all 9 discs, the tracks are out of order for each album. How can I get the tracks in the correct order for each album?

OK — you hadn't mentioned shuffle in this thread, so it was worth checking.
It sounds to me like there's a problem with the data in some of your fields. One thing to try is re-entering all the data at once, to be sure everything is identical and any old data is flushed out. Assuming you want them all to have the same album title, select all nine discs and fill out the Album, Album Artist, and the "of" field in "Disc X of Y". Then select each disc individually and fill out the rest of the disc number field, and the "of" part of the track number field. Finally, check all the track numbers to make sure they're set.
If you've done all of that and you're sorting on an Album column, and they're still not sorting properly, I don't know what to tell you.

  • Controlling Post Order of Multiple View Objects

    Hi ,
    Here is the scenario:
I have a use case of "Creating an Abstract"
    Steps:
step1 ) (Page 1) Author presents the details of the abstract (Details goes to 2 tables ABSTRACT & ABSTRACT_CONTENT tables). For the 2 tables i have 2 entities. I use a view here called CreateAbstractView from both the tables( here i control the post order of the entities ....code from jdeveloper 11g guide)
Step 2)(Page 2) Author presents details of Additional Authors. I use the view (*AdditionalAuthorDetailsView*) (Details goes to 2 tables AUTHOR & ABSTRACT). Here in the abstract table i have a parent key(parent abstract id) So all the additional authors has a record in Abstract table with parent_abstract_id from step1. ABSTRACT table also has a foreign key (author_id) .Here also i control the post order of the 2 entity object using the code from jdeveloper 11g guide.
I also have a link from CreateAbstractView to AdditionalAuthorDetailsView (abstract_id in Abstract table from CreateAbstractView to parent_abstract_id in Abstract table from AdditionalAuthorDetailsView )
If i have a commit on both the pages , i don't see a problem.
But i want to have a commit process at the end so that the user can review the information. So when i try to add a commit process at the end , i get a exception (Parent Key not found exception) which i came to understand that commit from AdditionalAuthorDetailsView is happening first which is trying to insert a record into ABSTRACT table and cannot find the parent_abstract_id.
How do i control the post order for multiple view objects in such scenarios?

    Hi!
Please take a look at the dev guide. It comes down to controlling the posting order on entity level.

  • Saving as pdf with pages in correct order.

my magazine is 40 pages, i want to perfect bound this . so obviously i will be only printing 36 pages as a magazine, Then the other 4 pages will be the front/back cover to be attached afterwards.
when i print in indeisgn for perfect bound to my printer, indesign re-arranges the pages in the correct oder so when i fold them they match up.
    e.g (4,1 / 2,3 / 8,5 / 6,7 ect) and when its folded up it reads ( 1 / 2,3/ 4,5 / 6,7 / 8 ect)
but since im not using my printer i need the magazine to be printed from a PDF file.
when i save as a pdf it just saves in order (1-36) so when it goes to print its not in the correct order that my magazine needs to be.
could anyone tell me how i can save this in the correct order for perfect bound as a pdf.
if i cant do it so simply could anyone tell me the easiest way to get these pages in the correct order.
    thanks

When you send out for commercial printing, that's what you want -- an unimposed PDF consisting of the individual pages. It's the Printer's job to impose them for his equipment, especially for perfect binding which requires a grind-off at the spine.
Most likely the cover (which will need a spine panel) is going to be printed separately on differnt stock, and should probably be prepared as a separate file, but check with the printer.

  • How to transport the object in XI?

    Hi friends,
Anybody can give me the idea or any document for transporting the objects in XI from Development system to Quality system. As per my knowledge we can transport using File and CMS, but i don't have clear idea. Anybody explain me clearly or provide me any document?

    Hi,
There are two ways to Transport XI objects-
    1) File Import/Export
    2) CMS
CMS is somewhat standard way to do. Becuase you can track the objects. But for this you need to install the CMS separately.
just go thru these quick links-
