Correct Time for ICI ICI Trace (Tx. CRM_ICI_TRACELEVEL)
Hi Guys,
When I tried to access to trace for ICI in tx CRM_ICI_TRACE - Display Integrated Communication Interface Trace, I always see incorrect the time of the log.
I review and the telephony server, SAP and all the user (agents) have the correct time, but the log register other time. Do you know, which user used this log for register the time of the error?

the ICI trace is using UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) timestamps. You can find more information about UTC here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coordinated_Universal_Time

I posted this question a while ago and didn't receive any responses but there are a lot of people who have viewed it and 10 have said they have the same question so I thought I would update you that I added my nanny to my exchange server account (created an email for her) and I send all invites to that email address and they work. So sending invites from an exchange server account to a non-exchange server account apparently is a bug so to solve it, get on an exchange server I guess.

How can I get Messages to show the correct time for read receipts?
Messages in Mountain Lion shows the wrong time for read receipts. For example, my iPad will show a message was read at 3:37 pm but if I open Messages on my MacBook, the read receipt shows the time that I opened the Messages app as opposed to the time the message was actually read. This is not too much of an issue if my iPad is handy, but really, shouldn't Messages on my MacBook be able to show the correct time the message was read? It syncs all the other infromation with Messages on iOs.
I should mention that if Messages is running on my MacBook when the recipient reads the message, then it does show the correct time the message was read. It's if Messages was not running and I re-launch it that the read receipt time gets mixed up.HI,
As far as I am aware Messages marks or time stamps an iMessage at the time of receipt rather then the time you got around to reading it.
I will admit that in most cases reading and receiving as the app opens will be near enough the same time in some conversations.
Adding Time Stamps to Chat is what iChat has always done particularly with AIM based Chats.
The "Sync" in Messages is "display on all devices" and after that each iMessages is dealth with separately on each device.
There is no syncing of deleting/dimssing an iMessages or having read it on another device.

Hi again, My slide is mighty cute but is vexing me once more. Whenever I recieve messages - if i look at the "message details" it says i have recieved them at bizzare times. Eg. if it is 1pm it might say 4:36 am. Have called my service provider - they said it was a phone setting. Checked at the shop i purchased it from and they cound't figure it - i have searched and still can't figure it! anyone have any clues as to how i would go about setting it for the correct time? When I send messages it sticks the right time on them and my phone clock is correct too ...

settings,
date & time,
date & time settings,
then go to TIME ZONE(set your GMT, that's the local time zone. Eg: Mine is GMT +8, Its because I live in asia so its GMT +8. It depends in what country you are located. If you dont know your GMT or local time zone, just google it, type GMT & look for the country where you live.
Then, set the actual time & date.
I also have that kind of problem before & I did the same thing.

We are working on CRM 4.0 SP11. Currently we are integrating with third party CTI vendor called Interactive Intelligence.
Currently SAP is sending the messages and Interactive Intelligence is receiving them. The Interactive Intelligence guys are saying that the format of messages is wrong. So they are sending an exception to SAP system.
To check these messages, we have switched on the ICI trace. But the ICI trace is not working. We have switched the CRM tracing ON. User Parameter CRM_ICI_TRACELEVEL has been set to XXX However when viewing the trace files from transaction code CRM_ICI_TRACE no values are returned.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

Ical events not displaying correct time zone
Hi All,
I have a weird issue and I'm not sure if it's an iCal or an entourage problem. When one of our Entourage2008 (exchange) users sends a meeting invite to a user in a different time zone using ical, the meeting shows in ical as the time the entourage user who created it, aka not adjusting for the time zone. Entourage to outlook calendar or another entourage calendar works fine, and iCal to iCal works fine; just not Entourage to iCal. Also, a calendar event from the iCal user to the Entourage user does adjust correctly for the time zone difference, which is why i'm exactly sure where the problem lies. I did post in the mactopia forums too so please don't yell at me for posting an 'entourage' problem in a mac forum. any help anyone could provide would be appreciated.

i'm on 10.5.7 with the latest updates for mac os x and the latest office for mac updates, and we are running off a hosted exchange server. we've experienced the same issue whether we have iCalis ("turn on time support") option enabled in iCal or not enabled.It's annoying as it should not be this complicated. I've implemented a work around, but it's not ideal. I have entourage running but not open, and have sync services set to sync with ical. A new invite comes into mac mail, the user clicks on the ics file (which opens entourage calendar), accepts the meeting, and closes the entourage window. The correct time is in entourage calendar, and then syncs with ical and the meeting has the correct time for that time zone.
If anyone has found a real fix for this problem, please let me know.

I purchased numbers for my mac and my iPad. It is asking me to purchase it again (for the 3rd time) for my iPhone.
Is that correct?You only need to purchase Numbers once for each OS. Have you tried connecting your iPhone to your Mac via iTunes & adding Numbers there?

Today I noticed an issue with my Reminder app on my IPhone 5s. Using OS 7.1.2. I called Apple, and the tech didn't know what he was doing and just trying different things.The reminder app will not let me set a date and time for reminder. Finally he escalated the call to a senior advisor who was rude, arrogant and unprofessional. He insisted the Reminder App was updated with the new update of IOS September/October 2013. Not true, the issue just started about 5 days ago August 31,2014. Now there is an additional reminder line for reminder entries that I have to use and have to transfer all my reminders manually from the other part of the app. The feature does exist; if I try to set a date and time for the reminder it appears for 1-2 seconds and then disappears.

iOS 7 was released 18 Sep 2013. At this time, the Reminders app was updated (with most everything else).
the issue just started about 5 days ago August 31,2014.

Reduce/Eliminate the start up time for a batch job
I'm looking for ideas on how I might be able to modify either my jobs, workflow or data flow in an effort to reduce the "start up" time that I'm encountering.
Currently I have a batch job we execute several hundred times a day. One of the parameters we pass to this job is a file path. The data flow reads a flat text file in this file path, processes the data through several transforms, and writes a flat text file back into the file path.
The actual processing time varies with the number of records being processed -- as one would expect.
However, even for the smallest - single record - input file the job takes between 40 and 50 seconds to complete. If I watch the trace file during this time it appears that 95% of this time is spent getting ready to run the job. The actual processing is almost instantaneous.
Is there anything that I can look at changing in order to improve the overall performance of these jobs?
I should mention that I am aware of setting up real time jobs, and how they would not require this "start up" time for each job submitted. However this jobs we process could between 1 to 1,000,000 records. Passing that many records in a single web service call does not seem reasonable. I would deal with issue on the submission side and then the potential timeout issue when waiting on the response -- which could also be quite large.Thanks Michael --
I must admit I'm a bit lost when it comes to the issue of codepages.
Is there any documentation you could refer me to with regard to setting the correct codepage for the data sources and targets?
Also, from the trace log I see the following statement:
Changed engine runtime locale <eng_us.cp1252> to <Unicode (UTF-16)> because data flow <DF_Suppression> contains a transform that requires processing with the Unicode (UTF-16) code page.
Other than the data source and data targets I do not see any option to set, or change, the codepage within any of transforms that I am using. (URAC, Name Cleanse, Query, Case, Match transforms are used)
Right now my source and targets are set to "default", which would seem to need to be changed. Where is the "default" set?

Run time analysis transaction SE30 :This transaction gives all the analysis of an ABAP program with respect to the database and the non-database processing.
SQL Trace transaction ST05: The trace list has many lines that are not related to the SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the execution of any ABAP program requires additional administrative SQL calls. To restrict the list output, use the filter introducing the trace list.
The trace list contains different SQL statements simultaneously related to the one SELECT statement in the ABAP program. This is because the R/3 Database Interface - a sophisticated component of the R/3 Application Server - maps every Open SQL statement to one or a series of physical database calls and brings it to execution. This mapping, crucial to R/3s performance, depends on the particular call and database system. For example, the SELECT-ENDSELECT loop on a particular database table of the ABAP program would be mapped to a sequence PREPARE-OPEN-FETCH of physical calls in an Oracle environment.
The WHERE clause in the trace list's SQL statement is different from the WHERE clause in the ABAP statement. This is because in an R/3 system, a client is a self-contained unit with separate master records and its own set of table data (in commercial, organizational, and technical terms). With ABAP, every Open SQL statement automatically executes within the correct client environment. For this reason, a condition with the actual client code is added to every WHERE clause if a client field is a component of the searched table.
To see a statement's execution plan, just position the cursor on the PREPARE statement and choose Explain SQL. A detailed explanation of the execution plan depends on the database system in use.
Extended Program Check
This can be called in through transaction SE38 or through transaction SLIN. This indicates possible problems that may cause performance problems.
Code Inspector (SCI)
You can call the Code Inspector from the ABAP Editor (SE38), the Function Builder (SE37), the Class Builder (SE24), or as a separate transaction (SCI).
The Code Inspector indicates possible problems. However, note that, especially with performance issues: There is no rule without exception. If a program passes an inspection, it does not necessarily mean that this program will have no performance problems.

In need of help figuring this phone stuff out! I am trying to get all the apps from my husbands old phone to his new one. I have already backed up the old phone and got everything onto iTunes, but every time I plug the new iPhone 5s into my computer it says that the version of iTunes is not correctly localized for this language and asks for me to run the English version. I have no idea how to do that? Please help.

How can I get the elapse time for execution of a Query for a session?
Example - I have a report based on the procedure ,when the user execute that it takes say 3 min. to return rows.
Is there any possible way to capture this session info. for this particular execution of query along with it's execution elapse time?

You can use the dbms_utility.get_time tool (gives binary_integer type value).
1/ Initialize you time and date of beginning :
v_beginTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
2/ Run you procedure...
3/ Get end-time with :
v_endTime := dbms_utility.get_time ;
4/ Thus, calculate elapsed time by difference :
v_elapsTime := v_endTime - v_beginTime ;
This will give you time elapsed in of 100th of seconds...
Then you can format you result to give correct print time.

Saving to SharePoint works only half the time for Windows 7 Users--all the time for Windows XP users
We have a SharePoint 2010 Environment with hardware load balancing, 2 WFEs, 2 Apps Servers and 1 SQL Server. This was built in October 2013. Office Integration and Saving back to SharePoint works all of the time for users on XP. It works sporadically for
users on Windows 7. When Windows 7 users do the following:
Opening an Office Document from computer and saving it to SharePoint
Within a Document Library, using Save As from an opened document
When selecting in a Document Library from the Document Tab> “New” and then the desired content type
Send> Save to SharePoint from within Office Document
They may either be brought to the SharePoint library (correct) or to My Documents (incorrect).
In the case of number 1 (Opening an Office Document from computer and saving it to SharePoint)--using Save and Send will sometimes open the SharePoint library and sometimes open My Documents.
Our URL is https://CompanyName.domainname.com/Sites/SiteCollectionName
The intermediary "Sites" is actually a blank path.
When My Documents is opened I've noted with Fiddler (a web debugger) that we get a 404 on sites:
Could this be the issue?Some things to double check:
Ensure that you have sticky sessions enabled on your load balancer
Check that your WebDav calls are making it to the server
Ensure that you have a root site collection in all your web apps
Just out of curiosity, what is the http request look like for the 404 error?
