Correspondence in e-Recruiting with EhP4

Hi,
We are running ERECRUIT 604 SP3.
I try to create any letter using standard SAP setup, e.g. returning forgotten password HRRCF_CS_EXA_NEW_PASSWORD (one of the simplest one), but the system always returns the same form - HRRCF_CS_IT_APPLICANT (or HRRCF_CS_APPLICANT - I cannot figure it out) - without regard to the setup in the table V77RCF_ACT2FORM.
Up to EhP3 the table V77RCF_ACT2FORM was the place where it was possible to assign a required smartform, also the customized one, to the selected activity. Now I cannot find out where the assignment of form to the activities is done.
Another issue in the new EhP4 is where and how to get an overview of the outstanding correspondence and mass-process it?
Please, anyone has an answer?
Best regards
Beata

Hello Beata,
short version:
use HRRCF_CS_IT_EXA_NEW_PASSWORD
long version:
the reason for you correspondence effect is just a wrong correspondence smartform customized for the activity. So V77RCF_ACT2FORM is the right place to look at.
E-Recruiting started with a correspondence change solution using the BTF editor. Later with 600 there came another solution using include texts. Up to E-Recruiting 600 EhP3 you can choose for simple correspondence and invitation which one you want to use. Therefore you have to set T77S0 RECFA INDCO switch and assign the correct document category to the activity category.
With EhP4 this changes. Only the include text solution is now supported. But now it uses not only a plain text edit but an editor which allows formating of the include texts when changing them.
As it is still the include text solution, the smartforms you use need the interface of the reference smartforms for this solution. These are HRRCF_CS_IT_APPLICANT for simple correspondence and HRRCF_CS_IT_APPL_INVITATION for invitations. If you use a smartform with a wrong interface the system sends the reference smartform instead (no idea why there is not an error message, probably a bad joke :o). So using HRRCF_CS_EXA_NEW_PASSWORD results in sending HRRCF_CS_IT_APPLICANT as it has the wrong interface, HRRCF_CS_IT_EXA_NEW_PASSWORD will work.
for the other question:
When everything was rebuild in WebDynpro SAP accidently "lost" some of the functionality from EhP3 and lower. Due to the huge demand of customers sap will bring the missing stuff with EHP4 SP4 as downgrade from EhP5. Part of it is the recruiter's work center, a dashboard for recruiters. According to the EhP5 documentation for the  HCM_ERC_CI_3 business function, this dashboard will include My Planned Activities and My Planned Correspondence Activities. So far I had no possibility to check if SP4 really has this (as this SP is not existing yet officially) but I could verify that a EhP4 SP4 system includes the business function HCM_ERC_CI_3 so it is highly probable that it is there.

  • In E-Recruitment after EHP4 correspondece activity is giving an error

    Hi,
    We are currently SAP ECC 6.0 with EHP4 , after EHP4 implementation we are getting an error on running the correspondence actvivity for any candidate.The Error is given below.
    "The selected letter template does not contain a changeable letter section"
    All the letter templates have been developed using smart forms.
    The steps that i have followed is given below
    Recruiter's Login->Under Candidate Selection->Select any candidate->Run an actvity say Acknowledge Application-> It displays the error.
    Please provide me a solution at the earliest.
    Regards
    RK

    Hi Rk,
    the message you get is not really an error. It just says that there is no changable letter section for a text which can be correct as not every letter has to be changable. Of course some should be. There you need the table mentioned above T77RCF_INCL2FORM.
    If you need a correspondence with the changable letter section you have to create a text block in t-code SMARTFORMS. Then you assign the textblock to a certain correspondence smartform by maintaining T77RCF_INCL2FORM via IMG. Only one changable letter section can be maintained per correspondence.
    Once you have done this you should see the content of the text block within the recruiter ui, when choosing the correspondence smartform for an activity.

  • ERP6 with EHP4 and SP stacks

    Hi
    I have just installed SAP ERP6 SR1 EHP4 ready on a sandpit server as our project team want to start looking at the functionality on ERP6.0, we currently run ECC5.
    I'm looking to patch the install to the latest levels, so I have downloaded EHP4 incl upto SP8 based on UT project team need, I've also seen there is SAP ERP 6.0 SP Stack upto SP18, I take it I need to patch the standard SAP ERP6 to SP18 independant of if I install EHP4? is there any order I need to patch EHP4 first or upto SP18 first? also, a kernel came down with EHP4, you normally get a kernel with the SP stacks, which kernel should I use?
    Thanks for any advice, never used EHP's before.
    Thanks.

  • Upgrading R / 3 4.7 system to ECC6.0 with EHP4 along with windows 2008

    Hi All,
    I am looking for your feedback about the plan for upgrading our Landscape to ECC 6. with EHP4 from R/34.7E.
    Current Environment: R/3 4.7X110 with SQL 2000 in 32 bit windows 2003
    Planning to upgrade to the level of : ECC6.0 with EHP4 64 bit windows 2008, SQL 2005 Database
    Based on the previous experience in upgrade I have planned in the following ways.
    Since my basis component is in the level of 63, its possible for me to restore the SQL 2000 database in SQL 2005 (Using System copy tool )
    Step 1: Migration of OS / DB using system copy tool (R/3 4.7 with SQL 2005 in 64 bit Windows 2003 ), Then will leave the system for testing for some period and after the confirmation, planned to start the upgrade
    Step 2: By meeting all the prerequisites, Planned to upgrade to ECC6.0 with EHP4 on the OS / DB upgraded system.
    Step 3: Once the upgrade completed / With the confirmation from the functional and technical consultants, I planned to upgrade the windows 2003 to windows 2008 using system copy tool.
    Note: I am not using SQL 2008 - Project decision.
    The above mentioned plan is the only way(proper way) for doing such activities or is there any other way to shorten the project.
    I should not ask the below question (Even after reading PAM and SAP note 1054740), But kindly regret me for asking this one, out of own curiosity, i am asking the below one.
    1. Is there any possible to install SAP R / 3 4.7 in windows 2008 with 2005 (This will help me to shorten the project). I am completely aware that SAP wont support R/3 4.7 with windows 2008, if its not at all possible is there any other work around for me to shorten? Let me know your suggestions and thoughts
    Your valuable inputs will help me to proceed further with the plans (I surfed the SDN and read master guides already) . I really want to make sure , the way which i am going is the right one.
    Thanks and Regards
    Vijay Kumar

    Hi Jitendra,
    Hope you should check the PAM again , Its supported for sure and also for upgrading to EHP4 - SQL 2005 is the Prerequiste.
    Hi Abhi and Others,
    Thanks for all your support.
    I have successfully completed the project for my landscape and it was a great success too.
    As you all said, since I had the hardware availability and time frame as well. Hence, I have tried both the possibilities.
    Note :I would prefer and stick with the SAP proposed and supported way and even for my project I have followed the same. So I would recommend to stick with SAP supported one.
    But for the own technical interest I have tried the other option as well which is not supported by SAP and also faced some typical issues as well / but solved on my own with some tricks and other activities. So, this option is also possible but highly risked one and of course(more importantly) which is not supported by SAP. So, i would recommend to go with the SAP recommended way.
    Thanks for everyone and I am closing the thread
    Regards
    Vijay

  • Install  ERP ECC 6.0 with EHP4 and JAVA stack (usage type)

    Hi all,
    I need to install ECC with EHP4 and also JAVA stack.
    I know that I have to install 2 stacks with different SID and oracle homes, firts I have to install ABAP stack and then the JAVA stack, but wich usage type should I choose for JAVA STACK?
    What I would like to have in my new installation would be the same usage type for JAVA stack like ERP 6.0 SR3 ABAP+JAVA stacks.
    What should I choose?
    Regards
    Thanks

    Hello,
    SAP ECC 6.0 allows ABAP and JAVA but EHP4 this feature is not.
    One thing I can suggest if you install ABAP stack first, it will initiates (even different SIDu2019s) the JAVA stack also.
    So JAVA stack having a protection with ABAP, because you know JAVA stack is a very sensitive and time consuming one when you want to start are stop.
    So you can do this sequence

  • ECC 6.0 with EHP4 fresh Installation

    Hello Gurus,
    A fresh ECC 6.0 with EHP4 needs to be installed on Wnidows + Oracle Platform, please let me know which of the following path should be followed?
    1. SAP NW 7.0 installation (without EHP1)  --> EHP 1 installation --> EHP4 Installation
    2. SAP NW 7.0 with EHP1 installation --> EHP4 installtion
    3. SAP NW 7.0 installation --> EHP4 installation
    The other way to ask this questions is what are the dependencies between NW7.0 (ECC 6), EHP1 and EHP4?
    Please let me know which of the above options is feasible and recommended. Please let me know a better option if its not present in the above options.

  • 46C- ECC6 upgrade with EHP4 SAP_BASIS package not found

    We are executing an upgrade from 46C to ECC6 SR3 and binding in EHP4.
    We have successfully downloaded EHP4 using Solution Manager MOPZ and
    provided the generated "XML" file during the PREPARE.
    During the phase EHP_INCLUSION, PREPARE is stopping with a message "No
    matching SAINT package for 'SAP_BASIS' found".
    The KB70102.SAR and KB70103.SAR packages from EHP4 have definitely been unpacked
    and are available in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in and we have prompted PREPARE to search EPS/in but it just returns to the previous error after searching.
    It appears from the logs that the upgrade is expecting a "SAINT"
    install package for SAP_BASIS and does not consider the KB70102/3
    patches as acceptable?
    Any clues as to why PREPARE is not accepting the SAP_BASIS packages and looking for a SAINT install?

    Regards,

    Ok, I was able to download the K-701DHINSAPBASIS package from Service Marketplace and this resolved the SAP_BASIS problem.  Thank you Markus for this solution.
    I also downloaded the SAP_ABA, SAP_BW, and the PI_BASIS components and unpacked those as well in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in.    My upgrade is now stuck asking for a SAINT package for SAP_ABA!  I'm sure the SAP_ABA install, K-701DHINSAPABA, is unpacked and available in /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in.
    The SAP_ABA files are definitely readable and there are entries in table PAT03_SDA for them.
    I have a ticket open with SAP support but they have not had a solution yet for the SAP_ABA
    Solution Manager failed to identify any of these packages as required in MOPZ.
    I'm starting to wonder if anybody has ever done a 4.6C to ECC6 upgrade with EHP4 bound before?
    Any ideas on the SAP_ABA would be appreciated.  Here's a section of the EHP_INCLUSION.LOG file from PREPARE.

  • Internal error while clicking on Candidate search from Recruiter role-EHP4

    Hi
    We are getting intrnal error while clicking on candidate search or any search option from recruiter log on after upgrading to EHP4.
    after doing analysis through SLG1, we found below issues.

    The error occurred in program CL_HRRCF_SPT_CUST_TABS========CM00E line 26
    We searched in SDN and got one threads with similar kind of errors. As mentioned in the thread, we have activated below items.
    1. HCM_ERC_SES_1-activated
    2. Customizing table T77RCF_SPT maintained with required information
    3. Run report RCF_PERIODICAL_SERVICES to update table T77RCF_INT_PUB.
    Still we are getting error as mentioned above. Can anybody help on this?
    Regards,
    Purnima

    Dear Purnima,
    You should have a look at it in client 000. This is where you can find the table entries how they are shipped with SAP. Problem is that this is the search customizing and if we have other customizing entries in our system they don't suit to your system because I found one different entry in table V77RCF_SMG_NAVI. Please can you check out all tables and compare them with your client 000? (all tables in IMG candidate search > search profile and search templates).
    Hope it helps,
    Regards
    Christine

  • Upgrade sap e-recruiting ehp3to ehp4.

    Hi experts,
    We are running ECC6.0 and the e-recruiting system on ehp3. We want to upgrade to ehp4 and would like to know  prerequisites, what considerations, costs and hours should be invested in this. Anyone with the experience to provide me a shortlist of these criterias?
    Very thankful:-)
    regards,
    hilde

    are you going to use WD ABAP based E REC? Please specify,
    There is no cost involved onlt effort, Shouldnt be much task as you are alrready using it, you need to know which
    new functionality you want to use

  • When I receive and answer e-mail, the correspondence is usually "nested" with the original message, and the number of replies, etc. are indicated with a number next to the original message.  How can I change the mail settings so that every reply is listed

    When I receive and answer e-mail, the correspondence is usually "nested" "behind"  the original message, and the number of replies, etc. are indicated with a number next to the original message in the inbox.  How can I change the mail settings so that every reply is listed individually in the inbox instead of having them "stacked" behind the original message.  I'm afraid I might accidentially overlook messages the way they are handled now.

    Somebody here will correct me if I'm wrong, but what you have to do is go into Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars and under Mail, turn off "Organize by Thread".  I think that will make each message show individually.

  • Integrating third party recruitment with SAP

    Hi folks,
    I had a question regarding intergrating the third party system with SAP HR masterdata. I am basically looking at transferring the applicant data from the Recruiting (third party tool ) system into SAP HR Masterdata. I found using the feature PAPLI something like integration could be done. I do not know how ???
    Right now, at the click of button something like Data transfer (entering the applicant id) can be manually imported into SAP Masterdata from the SAP recruiting module on the same system.
    Can such a process be achieived using  a third party tool? Is direct transfer process from the thrid party tool into SAP Employee Masterdata possible? Is the feature PAPLI (found from IMG) something like this can be accomplished?
    The version we are using is SAP 4.6C
    Any thoughts or leads in this area will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    SK

    I am not sure of any standard integration programs specific to recruitment, but through customization we can integrate third party rectt systems like People click, HRP etc.
    Develop inbound programs with ALE-IDOC system to transfer the data to Rectt tables.
    The switch will control activation of integration between the systems.
    If this helps, pl do reward.
    Thanks
    Narasimha

  • TREX not working for e-recruiting with HTTP content server

    We have a separate e-recruiting instance where we have only e-recruiting functionality installed. In this system we are using Storate type as "http content server instead of standard setting "SAP system database" for HR_KW content repository via transaction code "OAC0"
    Following are the details
    Document Area: HR_KW
    Storage type : HTTP Content Server
    Version no. 0046 Content Server version 4.6
    HTTP server vd24cs02.sce.com
    Port Number 8080 SSL Port Number
    HTTP Script archive
    Phys. path /usr/sap/N09/SYS/global/
    Points to be noted:
    1) TREX Search functionality for Job postings etc is not
    working with this setting, however if we use HR_KW_CONT (storage type=03 SAP System database) , above mentioned functionalities work. We observed that xml files required for TREX search are also not getting created when we change the settings.
    2) We observed that when we change the storage type the indexing job is successful but application log shows some failures in reading/modifying xml files
    Please let me know what are the settings/ procedure to use a different storage type instead of standard setting delivered with the product. Anything related to the setting for above requirement

    Hi All,
    I may have a similary problem but I'm not entirely sure.
    I have been tasked with setting up a simple java servlet to authenticate against a BOXI (Business Objects) server, from my tomcat server (tomcat 5.5) on my windows XP  desk top machine. I will add more info on this shortly.
    I have been supplied with a krb5.ini file and the bscLogin.conf file as follows:
    bscLogin.conf :
    com.businessobjects.security.jgss.initiate {
    com.sun.security.auth.module.Krb5LoginModule required debug=true;
    krb5.ini[libdefaults]
    default_realm = ADF.SOMEWHERE.CO.UK
    dns_lookup_kdc = true
    dns_lookup_realm = true
    default_tgs_enctypes = rc4-hmac
    default_tkt_enctypes = rc4-hmac
    [realms]
    ADF.SOMEWHERE.CO.UK = {
    kdc = DC90.ADF.SOMEWHERE.CO.UK
    default_domain = ADF.SOMEWHERE.CO.UK

  • Functional enhancements of the BAPI_ACC_PURCHASE_ORDER_POST with EHP4

    Hi,
    since we upgraded our FI to EHP4 we get errors during settlement within ICM. The structures of BAPIACGL03, BAPIACPO00, BAPIACCRPO have changed with FI EHP4. Our ICM does not contain an EHP.
    Has anyone already come across this problem?
    We were able to solve a quite simmilar problem with FI EHP3 implementing SAP note 1348350 but i wasn't able to find something like that for EHP4.
    Thanks
    Lars

    Hi Lars,
    Since you have reported the same in message 492935 and it seems to be that one new SAP None will be created by developers, I will lock this tread, since it is a duplicity. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
    Best Regards,
    Vanessa.

  • Connecting SAP E-Recruiting with SAP ERP HCM via PI 7.10

    Hello guys,
    i am currently working on connecting a SAP E-Recruiting and a SAP EPR 6.0 (HCM) via a SAP Netweaver PI 7.10 SP6 (Its a Proxy-to-Proxy Connection). For this i have created a more or less detailed How-to Wiki page. As i am not a PI/XI Expert at all - but i am always eager to learn I have some difficulties and i have hoped that you may help me out so i can complete the guide and so help others who also have some difficulties in setting up the scenario.
    For what i have already done, please check out the Wiki page i have created.
    One question i do have is, where can i monitore the send process.
    I mean i am executing the proxy-call in the sender system (E-Recruiting) but nothing happens (no error message)
    Also please take a look the RFC Destinations i have created for the Communication Channel. Not sure in which system i have to create those Destiantions and where they should point to.
    Here is the Wiki (still working on layout issues)

    best regards,
    Markus

    Hi Li,
    I am the Product Manager for SAP E-Recruiting. I'll try and give some direction.
    SAP E-Recruiting uses no functionality from the existing SAP recruitment module, and has a new data model. For HR releases before ERP2004, SAP E-Recruiting can only be deployed on a separate instance to HR, and integrated using a combination of ALE (qualification catalogue, employees, organizational units, jobs, and positions) and RFC calls (for moving candidate to be hired into HR).
    If you have ERP2004, then you can have E-Recruiting on the same instance as HR. There are advantages and disadvantages to this including, security, sizing, etc. We can discuss this if you consider this an option.
    If you have E-Recruiting on a separate instance to ERP2004, then you can also display or use organizational data using supplied data extractors. These are great for easily pulling HR data. In the standard they are only used to display information based on the job/position (example: current position holder) but they could also be used in custom workflows, job postings, etc.
    With ERP2005, employee qualifications will also be available in E-Recruiting, as well as the possibility of defaulting qualifications on the requisition, based upon the job or position.
    I hope this helps. Please feel free to ask more questions.
    Best wishes, Mark
