Corrupt bc Templates folder
Hi,
My templates folder appears to be corrupt.
The templates files were all created in muse on another machine, I'm trying to use dreamweaver to edit them.
I can see the templates folder on the server but not any of its contents. However it does contain dmt files. If I try and upload a dwt file with the same name as one of the page templates it says a file with that name allready exists. If i try and open the folder from the file manager alpha in bc admin it says error cannot load. If I try and rename the templates folder I get an error with contact server administrator. I am using dreamweaver for ftp etc but I don't have it set up as a business catalyst site, just as a regular site. The templates folders in the other sites on our account are fine. Just this one. Anyone see this before?
thanks
Hello Gavin,
We've identified the problem. One of your templates (the first one as you see the templates list) has an empty name. You can fix the problem by renaming that template.
I am curious how it got like that though, so I can prevent the problem to occur in the future. Do you know how we can reproduce it ?
Thank you,
Iulian Radu.

Corrupted Template Folder In Mail
In attempting to create a custom stationery template, I apparently corrupted one of the template folders. The folder is resident, but when I open it within Mail, and select Stationery, all templates in that folder simply have a frame around each one and none can be selected.
Is there a way to simply replace the template folder entitled Stationery?
Thanks for any assistance.FIXED. Is there a way to delete inquiries so as not to take up space??

What the ****.
OK, I try to change a template using Word for Mac version 14.3.4 2011 edition.
I make a change to the template but am unable to save the darned thing to the template folder; it asks for a file name like it's a new document. I want to change the blasted template but if I can't save it as a modified template, I've accomplished nothing.
Does anyone have a solution?

Hiding Workgroup Template folder in Office 2013
Hi,
It was suggested that this may be an appropriate forum for asking the following question
I have the following setup... In Group Policy (Computer Configuration) I copy the corporate Templates to the WorkGroup Templates folder on every PC (under Default\appData). We also have a personal templates folder (under %USERNAME%\appData).
The workgroup templates are available in both the workgroup and users personal templates folder.
When a user creates a new file in WORD or Excel they are presented with 2 templates folders. Is there anyway of hiding the Workgroup Templates folder and just showing the user their personal templates folder? (I want to keep the Workgroups templates
folder, I just do not want to display it in WORD)
Or should I just try to rename the templates folders so they can be distinguished from each other
ThanksHi,
As per the description, I understand that you've copied your corporate templates into the WorGroup Templates folder, and now you would like to hide this folder to users but keep the templates/folder. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
I have tested this on my own machine, to hide this folder to users, you'll need to clean the location for
Workgroup template in FILE>Options>Advanced>File Locations... button under
General section.
We are not able to clean this directly in Word, but we can do this by modifying the registry key or using GPO:
1) Clean the value of this registry key directly for each user:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Common\General\SharedTemplates
2) Group policy for this is: User Configuration\Microsoft Office 2013\Shared paths\workgroup templates path
Hope it helps.

Ethan Hua

How can I add a new Template to My Templates in Pages? I've read most of the discussions on the subject but it doesn't work for me. By the time I reach the Templates folder, I only see templates for Numbers and not for Pages. Need help, please. Thanks
Si vous avez utilisé la commande Save As Template depuis Pages, il y a forcément un dossier
iWork > Pages
contenant Templates > My Templates
comme il y a un dossier
iWork > Numbers
contenant Templates > My Templates

I used to open a file from the templates folder,
add details then click 'Save As' to save it the folder I was using.
Now I have downloaded Fireworks CS6 it always opens the 'Templates' folder when I click 'Save As'
I don't want to make a new template each time,
I want it to open the folder I was last using.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I can't get it to open the folder I was last using whan I click 'Save As',
which is what it did before when I was using Fireworks CS5.
Are there any Settings to change this?
Of course I can click 'Recent Places' but it was easier before when the right folder to save to just came up first time.Saved files seem to remember their last saved location. So if you create a new file based on a Template, the first time you choose Save As, the location of the source (template) file will appear. However, once you've saved the file to a new location, that new location should become the new default for any subsequent iterations of that file.
New files (not created from a template) pick up the location of the last saved file.
All this is to say, the file saving issue you're experiencing should only be a problem the first time you save a file based on a template. Every time you open that file afterward, it should default to its current folder location. But yes, every time you create a file based on a template, the default location will be the Templates folder. If this feels like a big problem, I believe you have the option of opening a template file from any location... so you could copy or move the template into a more desireable folder location, and create your new file(s) based on the template in that location.
Hope this gives you some ideas! -
Where's the My Templates folder in Yosemite, or How to delete a Numbers template.
I have Numbers 3.5.2 - where'd the My Templates folder go? I don't see it in Library/Application Support. .... In other words, I'm trying to delete unwanted templates. Could it be that it's now easier to find than in earlier iWorks, but I'm missing the obvious???
When in doubt, check HELP. (duh).............
Rename or delete a custom template
After you install a template, it appears in the My Templates category in the template chooser.
In the template chooser, Control-click the template name, then choose Rename or Delete.
If you’re renaming, type a new name, then press Return.
You can’t rearrange templates; they always appear in the order in which they were added. -
How to retrieve ascx file from the Template folder in SharePoint2013
My issue is, I have WSP only so I changed into zip and got my all web parts and also one dll file after that decrypted dll and got some C# code
mixing with some system generated code but not ascx file that is for front-end part. So my question is how we can retrieve full flash solution if not, at least ascx files So if we were on SharePoint 2010 we could have got those file from __Template__
folder but It’s on SharePoint 2013 and not able to get ascx.
If we can do so, than will be easy to get the task to be done
Suggestions would highly be appreciated. Thanks in Advance.
AshishHi Amit,
you can not move specific changes from Dev to production.
but you can follow this process to make your workflow as it is as in Dev:
Create a new workflow on the new list in Product.
Create at least one step, one condition and one action in this workflow.
1. In Dev server open your .xomal file as XML and copy the entire contents.
2.In Production server Open your .xoml file as XML and Paste the entire contents
3. repeat this operation for the xoml.rules file
4.Double click the .xoml file for the new workflow to open the workflow in the Workflow Designer and click Check Workflow to verify no errors and then click Finish to ensure the workflow is saved.
Whenever you need to make changes apply the same.
Please Mark Answer and Vote me if it will to resolve your issue -

Invalid payh to WORD templates folder
Hi experts.
after upgrade to release from 2005 to 2007 I have a problem with exporting to word.
the error message is: invalid payh to WORD templates folder [message 20015-6].
first the upgrade everything worked. I have sap and folder authorization.
also the export to PDF by clicking the appropriate button does not work. I solved pdf export using file/export/layout to/pdf, but not for word doc.
I have Sap Business One SP:01 PL:07
can you help me?
thanksCiao Pasquale,
for create a word doc or a pdf doc from a marketing document it is necessary only to click on related word icon or pdf icon; for sure you need to set the correct patch into General Setting tab Path, like " C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\WordDocs\Italy\ " for the word document and the same for excel files like "C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One\ExclDocs\ ".
Please verify if into the folder you have this file's:
CustAccounts.doc
Docmnhl1.doc
mnhlDot1.dot
ToDoLetters.doc
I've tested into 2007 A SP01 PL08 and I'm not able to reproduce the issue, so I think there is something wrong into the client and I suggest to you to open a customer message to Global Support Center explain in detail what is happen with a little word document with each single step.
Or you can try to upgrade to the last patch 08 and re-try if the issue is patch depending !

My program use Word template who is in a folder. How i can integrated this Template folder in my executable folder.
This is the first time I create an executable, so please help me -_-.
Nki
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi nki,
To include the ocx and dll files you will need to build an executable for your VI and then create an installer for the additional files. I have linked 2 documents that will explain each of these steps. If you have any questions with this let me know.

Templates link to template folder
hi. I not used to using dreamweaver. I would MUCH rather
write html by hand. but my boss uses DreamWeaver and I am trying to
update a template that he made.
so he created a "site" in dreamweaver so it put all his
files in its own structure and all. but when I update the template
in the template folder and update the pages using the template all
the links and images are linked to the template folder.
It would look like "<a
href="Template/pictures/pic.jpg">" when I just want it to say
"pictures/pic.jpg" but in the template the file is linked properly.
and I can't get DW to look outside of the template folder for
templates.
anyone know how to fix it so that it won't change the links
to look in the folderBall of Snot,
(no offense intended)
I am a little unclear on your post, but I think that if you
reference your template's links to the exact directory the images
are located, the links remain relative wherever the file using the
template is located. I could just be telling you something that
you're already doing....sorry if I am.
I've never seen this as an issue in DW before (are you using
MX, MX 04, or 8?)...
DW won't find Templates outside of the /Templates
folder. -
New account not picking up template from "User Template" folder.
With past OS'es I've successfully managed to create a new "Staff" account on my main staff image-maker Mac, drag and copy all of that account's folders into: System>Library>User Template>English.lproj
This is very helpful when a staff member leaves, I can simply create a new account, and the Mac would/should pick up all the settings and items found within the English.lproj folder in order to complete the creation of a new "Staff" account.
This is not working for me in Snow Leopard for some reason. I'm assuming it's a rights issue on either the User Template folder or the English.lproj folder...or both.
Problem: The original "Staff" account and all new "Staff" accounts pick up a generic set of folders for that account, even though my self-created account folders are still located in the English.lproj folder mentioned above.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated, Gramps. Can you share which permissions you ended up looking at? I'm having the same issue. I'm doing exactly what I've always done but for some reason 10.6 is giving me grief.

User template folder moved to trash how to put back in sytem library
moved user template folder to trash by mistake how do i put it back in the system library
Then, you should have gotten an authentication dialog box, assuming that the account is an admin one. If not, then you'll have to change the permissions on the folder. To do that, launch the Terminal.app in /Applications/Utilities/, copy and paste in this one-liner into the window that pops up, hit the return key. at the Password: prompt, carefully enter your admin password (since nothing shows up in the window), and hit the return key.
sudo chmod -R root:admin ~/Desktop/Library
When the normal $ prompt returns, copy & paste this one-line in and hit the return key:
sudo mv ~/Desktop/Library /System/
That should do the trick, moving the correctly permissioned folder back to its normal place. If so, it should be safe to restart the machine. If not, then my next suggestion is to reinstall the software.
