Corrupt email facility

My Nokia 6230 was sending and receiving email from my ISP Wanadoo with no problems until last weekend when, apparently, Orange undertook changes to its servers. I now get "Invalid File" when I key Messages/Email. Orange have checked my settings and I have downloaded new Nokia settings with no avail. Any ideas anyone?

First, technical questions need to be addressed to a technical forum. Products | Database | SQL & PL/SQL would be appropriate for this question.
There is a database package utl_smtp that can be used to send email from an Oracle database.

  • How do I use my Email facility

I am a new Blackberry user and being of advanced years find some of the new technology difficult to understand.  I have now posted 3 questions on this forum and have been delighted with the help I have received.
My 4th question is as follows:
I have now updated the phone from my service provider (Orange) and now have an "Orange World" browser which gives me access to the internet and with this I have no problems.
From the same source I also have an Email facility and would appreciate some help.
I have 2 email addresses one is @demon.co.uk and the other is @virgin.net.  I do not want any more.  When I am away from home I would like to be able to redirect my incoming Emails to my Blackberry and be able to reply to them by Blackberry but when I am back home receive them on my desktop as normal.
Is this possible and if so how do I set it up?

You don't need to worry about BB fetching all emails and leaving none on the server for you to download via your regular email client on the computer. The way BB's mail service is (normally) working is to push a copy of the email to your handheld device, while leaving a copy on the server. Now, if this wold prove to be untrue, there's bound to be a setting for always leaving a copy. Log in to your email settings page via a web browser on the computer, to familiarize yourself with the options. To get there, you might need to have a word with your operator. In my case, they didn't know, but using the url: operatorname.blackberry.com did the trick. You can also do this from the bb phone, and you need to set up a user login.
The second part of your question is about syncronizing your email box on the computer with the inbox on the phone. I don't have a straight answer but there are ways to do it. For example, when you download email to your computer it is usually done via a protocol called POP. If you can change this to another protocol, called IMAP, it will synch the inbox folders on every client you are using with the email server so that you never have to read an email twice. But that is if your ISP / email provider can enable this. And having said that, I'm pretty sure there is a smarter way, let's leave room for someone else to provide a better answer.

  • How do I localize corrupt email file

There is a corrupt email file in one of my mailboxes. I just don't know which one it is.
I was able to isolate the mailbox in which the corrupted file is. When I put the mailbox's folder back in the mail folder (in preferences), start mail.app again, then rebuild the mailbox, it starts spinning and the whole mail.app seems to stall forever and forever until I have to FORCE QUIT. Before doing the rebuilding of that mailbox the app works fine.
I've initially tried to reimport the whole mail folder into a newly initialized mail.app. That's how I know in which mailbox the corrupt file is as it started to import the different mailboxes and stopped at just that one. I even had the number of the file but to my surprise the numbers of the files in the "preferences/mail/" folder are totally different.
I have more than 5000 files in that mailbox, how can I know which one's bugging?
    thanks for the help.

    Mark,
If you open the Mail folder, and then go to the Mailboxes folder within (where mailboxes you create are stored, and assuming it is not in a mailbox in an Account folder), and open that xxxx.mbox to find the Messages folder, do you not see the 6583.emlx file?
It is possible this file name is the one Mail is assigning during the import, and not the existing one, however, but I can't tell sitting here. In the original, what is the range of numbers on those yyyyy.emlx files?
One way, would be to open the subject xxxx.mbox, then open the Messages folder, and then double click on each yyyyy.emlx file, to see if it will open in Mail. Mail can open individual yyyyy.emlx files in this fashion, but perhaps would choke on the one corrupt.

  • Regarding Email facility in webshop

    Hi
We have implemented a B2B webshop and want to enable the email facility. What we do is we click on the "email" facility in the customer support in the "Help" section of the webshop. When we click on the send button, it gives an acknowledge ment that "email could Not be sent". We have done the necessary configuration in lwcconfig component in XCM. We are using CRM 4.0.
    Help would be appreciated.

    Hi
Can you please forward me that solution, I am also facing the same issue in my company

  • "Corrupt" email breaking ActiveSync

We are having an issue with ActiveSync and the iDEVICES in our environment.  We are getting the problem of 'corrupt' emails breaking the ActiveSync connection.  All the online fixes i have read simply say to delete the emails which are causing the problem.  This seems to be a no-brainer solution, and really isn't an option, as the devices are used by the Mayor and City Counsellor's...can't really tell them to go into their inboxes and start deleting everything.
i'm wondering if there is a more technical solution for this issue.
We are running Exchange 2003 Front End/Back End setup.  I have been through the standard permissions setups multiple times, and everything seems good.
Also, could minor mailstore corruption or not using SSL certificates cause these issues.
Please help, i hate having the mayor looking over my shoulder...thanks

    Try this:
Navigate to: Users / you / Library / Mail. Find the folder corresponding to your email account. {Mine is called "POP-([email protected])}. In that folder there is a folder called INBOX.mbox. Inside that is a folder called Messages.
You can delete a message without opening it by trashing the file from that Messages folder. The files have names like 71057.emlx. Make sure you delete only the correct one. You can identify it by its size. Or, to make sure you have only the culprit in the folder, you can temporarily move any messages in your Inbox into another folder, leaving only the corrupted one. Of course, do this before navigating to the Messages folder.

  • I have a corrupt email, that I can not delete via normal actions.  How can I get rid of this email?

I have a corrupt email, that I can not delete with normal actions.  How do I get rid of it?

The email was recieved from Fidelity (whom I get 1000's of email from.  The eamil account is an msn account that has wooked flawlessly for years.  The email deleted from my msn account on other computers, it is only on my Mac using my the supplied email viewer.  The message is :  Can not move this email to trash.  Input output error.

  • I HAVE A CORRUPT EMAIL

I HAVE A CORRUPT EMAIL WHICH I CAN NOT DELETE, EACH TIME I ATTEMPT TO DELETE IT WILL CRASH THE EMAIL APPLICATION.  HOW DO I DELETE THE FILE?

No problem. I was just explaining about the caps. That's all.
If you deleted the email on the web and you still have the problem this is something else you can try on your iPad.
Double tap the home button and all of the recently used appears appear in the task bar at the bottom. Find the Mail App icon and hold down on the icon until it begins to wiggle. Then tap the minus sign in the corner of the app to close it. Close all of the other apps that are in that task bar as well. Tap the screen and you will close the task bar.
Restart the iPad. Hold down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and slide it to shut the iPad off. Then hold down on the sleep button again until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Let the iPad restart completely and then launch the mail app again and see if the problem is fixed.

    Hi imalkait,
I understand you would like to know about the scanning capabilities of the Laserjet M177nw. I can help you.
You can scan from the HP Software, email also.
There is no Scanning from the printer's display on this model. (Email or Computer)
You can network the printer and all the users can scan to their computers through scanning software.
    Thank You.

  • Corrupt emails sent from MS Outllook Users

We have recently had three different consultants that we work with send us email attachments that always come in corrupt. Any file format is effected. There are sending their email from Outlook 2007 SP2. I had them send me the exact same emails from a yahoo account and the files are okay. So it is either their outlook that is doing it or our apple server doing it. Does the apple server software modify incoming messages? Or do you think it could be a setting in their outllook that is causing this problem? My next step is to have them send a email directly to a windows cpu and try to open the attachment. I almost forgot the macs that we are trying to open the attachments on are G5 dual 2.0 running 10.5.8 and we are using apple mail. Any help would be great. Thanks!

Try having them zip the attachment to see if it comes through ok, it could be an encoding issue.
That said, if they sent you the attachment via yahoo to your server and it came in fine, I don't see how it would be your server? You say that they sent to a Windows XP machine on your network but they still were the ones sending hence you didn't really eliminate the possible factors. You say yourself that from yahoo, the same attachment comes through fine to your server so it must be something with the way attachments are being sent from the other clients based on your information... I mean that actually indicates the issue is not on your end.
We had this issue sending to some Outlook clients (Though not us with receiving their attachments) and it was caused by the format the message / attachments were being encoded in by the senders. So you could have a look at those types of things from the outlook client side.
You could have your secretary send you an attachment and see if you receive it through your email server without any corruption but I assume that has been working anyway. Could have them try from an external address as well (such as a google or even your own domain once they go home, etc).

  • CRM 2011 Outlook plugin corrupts emails

Hi, we have CRM 2011 server with rollup 14 installed, using CRM 2011 for Outlook plugin. One client PC's Outlook client is corrupting many emails when set to track in CRM.
I have removed CRM, removed all registry entries pertaining to CRM, repaired Office 2013, reinstalled CRM 2011, applied rollup 14, and this still happens. Every PC I configure with the account and open the email, it crashes Outlook. I have run scanPST on
the OST, run the repair requests in Exchange server 2010. I have deleted the forms cache.
When an email gets corrupted, when opened in Outlook it says "Could not install the custom actions" and then Outlook 2013 crashes. It does this in Outlook 2010 also. In OWA, it says:
"The item can't be opened because it's become corrupted. The entire error report is listed below"

There's nothing in the error report to hint that the problem is related to CRM. The error report contains references to voting data. Does the problem email have voting buttons enabled on it? In Outlook 2013, when you create a new email message there is
a Options tab with a feature called Use Voting Buttons. Perhaps this feature has a problem on its own, or when voting emails are tracked in CRM?

  • Corrupted email in Outlook that will not go away or respond

Hi!  Does anyone know how to get rid of a an email message that when clicked on freezes the screen and makes you have to shut down the computer and start it up again?  I have contacted Verizon, Norton, and Outlook Express and not one of them was able to figure it out.  The last contact I had with Verizon, the person got mad and said this wasn't Verizon's fault and he couldn't fix it and then disconnected.  Maybe it's time to get rid of Verizon.  Unless someone can help of course.
    Anyone?  Thank you!

If an Outlook Express message is corrupted, it almost usually means you have to rebuild the Outlook Express profile as the program tends to have database issues whenever the Mail file reaches a certain size. Now if an e-mail is stuck and corrupt, that's another issue that may or may not be size related. If you really don't want to go through the process of rebuilding a profile, you could try running programs that repair Outlook Express data files (many of them are not free anymore), or you could try moving the corrupted message into a folder and deleting the folder itself (which will kill the message).
Anyways, if the message is not in Webmail and Outlook Express is set up to use POP3 to retrieve mail, it's not Verizon's problem. It's a Microsoft problem.

  • What happened to the email facility within the for...

    Hi,
Before, you where able to send and receive e-mails to members within the forum, has this been disabled?

    CG Over An Out

    Hi cg
Ectophile is right, the private messaging facility is available to everyone.  However you do have the ability to turn this off and on within your settings.
You can alter the following private messaging settings:
    Turn on and off
No. of messages shown per page
Receive email notification for new private messages
This can all be done by going into My Settings, clicking on Preferences and then on Private Messenger.

Sometimes it is as simple as checking the outgoing server setting and making sure that your username and password are correct.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.
