Corrupt Fireworks App menu and shortcuts

The keyboard shortcuts in my FW CS3 show on the FW menu as
"ctrl+" and then 1 to 3 small squares. I suspect a corrupt dll or a
missing font, but I've reinstalled CS3 and done everything manually
I can think of.
I have also discovered that defining my own shortcuts creates
a "menu.xml" file in my C:\Documents and Settings\... folder, but
then FW does NOT load the new shortcuts when it restarts, even
though the configuration dialog says it's using my custom menu.
This is CS3 running on Win XP SP3.

I have found that clicking on the photo works on export, but not all of the time.
I tried redefining a keyboard shortcut. That does not work since the "Menu: View/Zoom In" function does not work either.
Strange that it is only a problem with multiple photos open and they appear in tabs. I have tried deselecting "Open new documents as tabs" under preferences. That 'fixes' the problem since the zoom in / out does not work only with multiple tabs open, but it works with multiple windows open. I suspect that this 'fix' will work on the export problem too, since I will be exporting the active window.
So essentially, the 'open new documents as tabs' is so buggy that it should not be used.
Hopefully Adobe will not try to charge me for an upgrade to CS5 in order to fix this problem.

Several possible reasons.
Start by describing exactly what you did, including user ids (or at least desctriptions of them) and the permission that those user ids have.
And don't forget to detail which 'Windows 2003'. There are, as far as I know, several flavours of that product and there may be patches.

C3-01 Menu and Shortcut Fault

I've had a C3-01 since Jan. Generally pleased, but in May the Menu and Goto buttons stopped reacting and the shortcut icons disappeared. Took it to the T-mobile shop - they couldn't reset it so sent it away. 2 weeks later it was replaced with a new phone. All OK until yesterday - same fault again!. Very frustrated - any suggestions, please?

I dont Believe It, I got my C3-01 Device From a Retailer Nokia Shop Since 3 Months Now, and Its Working LIKE A CHARM, no error or faults found yet in my device, Except the FW does not contain some Major Features, but thats a different story.
If you Have a Problem with Touch Pad, then Get your device Replaced, because then thats the only choice, But i guess you should 1st Install the Latest FW Update by Nokia i.e. v06.05
No Errors Found by me, just to let you all know, i use my device to the Utmost extend it can get.

Dreamweaver, Fireworks pop menu and Flash banner issue

For some unknown reasons I am not getting my Fireworks

That's because Flash content rises to the top, so to speak.
There is a
kludge/hack using the wmode parameter but I believe it only
works in IE.
Your best bet is to redesign the page so the Flash is
separated from the
menu.

Print PDF Menu and Shortcuts

Hi,
I've looked around online and not been able to find any answers. So this might not be possible, but thought it worth checking on here.
I often print files as PDFs so I'd like to be able to do this using keyboard shortcuts. Pressing ⌘P brings up the print dialogue box, and pressing ⏎ then prints to a printer. Tabbing takes me through the various printing options, but doesn't take focus to the PDF menu at any point and I can't seem to set a working shortcut up to 'Save as PDF...'.
Is it possible to create a personalised keyboard shortcut to 'Save as PDF...' or any of the other PDF print options. It would be great if this was possible as I use 'Save PDF to Web Receipts Folder' quite regularly too.

Windows 10 apps menu not displaying at all after yesterdays update

Yesterday Windows 10 Totally and automatically updated, every thing seemed to be OK... except, the apps menu and the desktops icon don't deliver anything.
If I right click on the apps menu it shows a list of options and I can select from there the Programs and Features. Is there a fix out there or some way to make the menu work?

In Windows 10 build 9926, there is some problems when open the Start Menu, this should all be fixed in Widnows 10 build 10041:

Next time you accidentally use 3 fingers it will zoom again. Unless you need the feature you're better to turn it off

App-V 5.0 and shortcuts

There are a couple of things around App-V 5.0 and shortcuts I'm still a little confused about.
I once created a package of Project and Visio 2013 with the click-to-run\deployment tool. The package worked great until someone said they needed Project but don't have a license to visio. To avoid this I made a shortcut to the executable in %localappdata%
and set restrictions to the shortcut with AD groups. However when I double clicked on a visio document, the user would still be able to run Visio. I tried to avoid this by creating two packages, one with Visio and one with Project. The problem here is that
I can add one package to the management console but not the other because it says a package with that name and version already exist although the name is indeed different, the version is the same.
SO, (TL;DR): How am I supposed to separate Visio and Project if it is in the same pacakge when creating two separate packages is not supported?

You need to modify the deployment configuration XML file to disable shortcuts. Maybe create multiple DeploymentConfig.xml files? DeploymentConfig_VisioOnly.xml, DeploymentConfig_ProjectOnly.xml .. ?
How to disable an Office 2013 application:
Open a Deployment Configuration File with a text editor such as Notepad and search for "Applications."
Search for the Office application you would like to disable, for example "Access 2013."
Change the value of "Enabled" from "true" to "false."
Save the Deployment Configuration File.
Add Office 2013 App-V Package with new Deployment Configuration File.
How to disable shortcuts for Office 2013 applications:
Open a Deployment Configuration File in Notepad and search for “Shortcuts”.
To disable certain shortcuts, delete or comment out the specific shortcuts you don’t want. You must keep the subsystem present and enabled. For example, in the example below delete the Microsoft Access shortcuts, while keeping the subsystems <shortcut>

Save the Deployment Configuration File.

I installed Windows 10 Technical Preview with original language settings for the US region.
No that I need my Windows localized to Espanol - Spanish.
I type "language' in Cortana, select Add language to this device and click Add a language on the Region & language.
Then I select added language and click Set as primary.
After the restart I see that while Windows Explorer is displayed in Spanish, Start menu is displayed in English (including app sections such as Explore Windows), as well as Modern apps that have retained their English names (such as Mail).
I even set the location to Spain in regional settings (although I didn't like the idea, as I want to browse the US market). To no avail.
How do I change the language of the Start menu and modern apps?

Okay, I ran the in-place upgrade and it worked!
What I did:
1. Downloaded and attached Espanol edition of Windows Setup ISO.
2. Started setup.exe from that ISO.
TIP: If need be, you can downgrade your installation of Windows 10 Enterprise Technical Preview to Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview by changing two registry values, EditionID and ProductName. You may use the following registry file on Windows 10 Enterprise
Technical Preview:

2 GB of RAM is pretty tight. I imagine that's at the very low end of what Yosemite wants, which could slow things down.
As far as scroll direction, you can always change it in the trackpad settings. Unsure why it got flipped, but you can fix it in about 5 seconds. Choose "natural" (or don't) depending on how you like it.

Reset your iPad. Press and hold both the power and home buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till you iPad starts on it's own. Now try and download an app.

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
