Corrupt video download, how to download again

Downloaded the Daily Show, 1/4 way through the audio and video become out of sync by about 4 seconds. How do I re-download the show without paying for it again?
Many Thanks
Arthur

Mozilla AddOn Flash Video Downloader version 7.1.0 up to version 7.2.3 with Windows 7 :
I have requested for support from Flash Video Downloader support-team for installed addon Flash Video Downloader,
but this problem issue could not be solved.
While I have opened several firefox windows, with the new versions of Flash Video Downloader, the firefox windows are
reopened in accidental order after restarting firefox, but not in original order as before. If I had deinstalled Flash Video
Downloader addon, all windows of firefox were opened again in original order. And if I had reinstalled mozilla addon
Flash Video Downloader again, then after restarting firefox, all windows were opened again in accidental order, but not
    in original order.
Because of opening tabs automatically from Flash Video Downloader website after deinstalling this addon, I want to ask
mozilla support, if I could trust this addon, and why this addon influences mozilla firefox while opening several firefox
windows in accidental order, but not in original order.
After deinstalling Flash Video Downloader addon in all opened firefox windows, a new tab from Flash Video Downloader
website was opened for feedback response. One feedback tab in one window should be enough as before.

It currently is not blocked: [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/]
If it was installed from the addons.mozilla.org it can be trusted, however if there are issues I would report it.

Download again, move the existing file out of the applications folder first.

  • The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs.

How can I solve this? Every time I have the option to update an application I receive the same notification: "The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs"

Can we eliminate one minor possibility: are you in the UK and using Virgin Media cable connection? I ask because the latest 'Superhub' firmware is corrupting large downloads for some people.

  • Music Videos are corrupt after download

The symptom:  I had successfully downloaded dozens of music videos from the iTunes Store. Then, approximately a month ago, every new music video I download has the same symptom: At aproximately 35 seconds into the video, there is a one second pause and then "stutter and blockiness"  for the rest of the video. I am running 10.8.2, against a Cable modem connection of > 20 Mbps, on an iMac 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB RAM. The video bit rates are approximately 1600 kbps. I have scrubbed through the file "one frame at a time" directly in Quicktime, and corruption is in the video file itself. That is, it's not a playback error. The audio is fine.
    What I've tried:
    a) I have deleted the downloaded video from my library and then re-downloaded, but get the same "stutter and blockiness."
    b) I have deleted the file from my library and *played from the cloud," and *still* get the "stutter and blockiness."
    c) I created a new (empty) library, but both i) playing from the cloud, and ii) downloading and playing, produce the same"stutter and blockiness".
    d) I created a new user on my iMac, and then a new library, and I can successfuly download the video!
    e) With the same new user, if I use an alias to refrerence my old library, I can also successfuly download the video!
How in the heck do I figure what is "wrong" with my old user/settings? (I seem to have limited the issue to 'this user on this iMac.')
    I am stumped.
    Has anyone else seen this?
What did you do to fix?

my suggestion would be to re download the specific videos that this is happening to. As well make sure you have the latest version of itunes and quicktime. Maybe this will work. Give it a shot. hope all goes well.

  • Received a message that installation of new software incomplete - damaged or corrupted during download. How do I re-download Lion?

I was told to purchase Lion and download/install so that I could upload the latest iTunes and backup my iPhone 5S. However, when trying to install Lion on my MacBook (Mac OSX, Version 10.6.8, 2.4 gHz) I received a message that the software had been damaged or corrupted during download and could not be installed. QUESTION: How do I re-download? When I attempt to do so through App store and click on Download button in Purchases, nothing happens. Thanks!

I would have to presume the 2006 Mac was used, and came with Office 2008 on it from the seller. Apple has never offered Office as a bundled purchase, and it is not pre-installed with any Mac.
Since you have the disk for Office 2004, the activation key should be on a sticker on the CD/DVD sleeve. As I recall, anyway. I no longer have my 2004 copy to check. If you have the key, it doesn't matter who it originally belonged to. You can still enter it and activate the software.
Once you have that installed, you can install the XML converter for Office 2004. That will allow you to open from all newer Windows and Mac versions of Office. The only things that won't necessarily convert are features that don't exist in Office 2004, and so can't be translated correctly, or at all.
Microsoft is saying Office 2016 for Mac and Windows should be available for the official release sometime either late summer, or early fall. So hold off purchasing a new version if you can. MS offers to reduced upgrade price for Office. You'd pay full price for Office 2011, and then again for Office 2016.
And just to note. Office 2008 and Office 2011 work fine in Snow Leopard.

The iPod sees the new computer as a new iTunes library. You can only sync with one iTunes library.  However, you can manage music among disfferent computers.  See:

  • How can I get a download again after I already bought it?

About a week and a half ago, I bought a new South Park episode. I wasn't gonna have time to download it after I bought it, so I closed iTunes. I opened it again to see if the download was gonna still be there, but it wasn't there. Can I get the download again without paying again?

In iTunes, did you try store>check for purchases, to

  • HT4623 I tried to update my ipad air to IOS 7.1 but it shows error that "The software for the iphone was corrupted during download" How can I fix this problem ?

I tried to update my ipad air from IOS 7.0.4 to 7.1 on iTunes. I clicked download and update, it started to download normally but when download finished iTunes shows error that "The software for the iphone was corrupted during download".
How can I fix this error ?

I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):
    curl http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4521.20140310.D2Ydl/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Rest ore.ipsw >>~/Desktop/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Restore.ipsw
Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
    Quit and relaunch iTunes.
    Should now work for you.

Is this happing because the external is formatted to PC and not mac?
    Yes that is correct.
Will I need to get a mac external hard drive if I wish to continue to save my documents like this?
If you no longer use a PC you could format this drive for the Mac. However be aware that formatting a drive will erase all the data on it. So you would need someplace to copy the data off this drive to while you did the re-format and then you could copy the data back.
You could get another drive, format it for the Mac and copy the data to it. Then re-format the original drive and use it as a backup drive. Always good to have backups.
Post back with the drive type and size of the current drive, if you are doing backups now and how and if you still need to access this drive from a PC.

  • How come some previously downloaded tracks wont play in itunes 11.1.3, and there is no option to download again

How come some previously downloaded tracks wont play in itunes 11.1.3 and there is no option to download again?

    Hey KMK14,
I understand you are having issues with a few tracks in iTunes. The best troubleshooting step may be to delete the song from your library, and re-download using iTunes in the Cloud (if available in your country).
For more information, see the following:
Songs in iTunes may not play back completely
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4357
    Symptoms
Occasionally, if a song purchased from the iTunes Store on a Mac or PC was not downloaded completely, the song may not play back fully. The song may abruptly stop during playback, and iTunes may start playing the next song in your library or playlist.
    Resolution
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
    1. Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
    2. Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
    3. Download your previously purchased song from this list.
Note: iTunes in the Cloud, which allows you to download previously purchased songs from the iTunes Store, is not available in every country. Learn if iTunes in the Cloud is offered in your country.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
