Corrupted and can't be found on mycomputer or iTunes?!?

When connecting to iTunes it said my ipod has been corrupted? I have no idea what this means or why it happened. My PC does not recognize the ipod nor does iTunes. Is there anyone that can help?! Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I went along to Apple store to see a technician. He hooked my ipod up to a mac laptop and it synced with no problems using my usb cable. The techy restored my ipod and I came home full of glee, however it still will not connect to my PC and when it does it still states it's corrupted with unknown error 1418 (this was originally error 1415 until the tech dude restored it). As stated in all the support pages, i completed the 5 R's (minus the restore section!!), I have also wiped my PC of all itunes data and reinstalled from scratch, now my ipod is freezing on the 'do not disconnect screen' after trying to load for about 5 minutes. I am going insane!! I am returning to the apple store tomorrow and will let you know how I get on.
If anyone has any information regarding this problem that will save me the trips to the apple store and the inevitable cash i am going to have to fork out to fix my beloved Pod.....please let me know.

I think I just plugged it in and TM let me select it but is it possible
I should have reformatted it with DU first, like with all the WD drive problems ?
Is it too late for that ?
Or just try to return it or get rid of it ?

Try a reset. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the red slider.

I'm having a strange problem with Illustrator CS5 and ESTK CS5. I'm new to writing ExtendScripts, so I haven't a clue what could be going wrong here but here's the skinny:
I've written the following code, which is very specialized to the exact document I'm working with. Using the ExtendScript Toolkit, the script goes through the following loops:
The primary problem:
For some reason, running this script causes Illustrator to become somehow corrupted. I can continue working with the document as long as it is open, but if I try to close it and re-open it, I get the infuriatingly unhelpful error dialog "Can't open illustration." With no extra details.
The same error comes up if I try to open any other .ai files. Shutting down and rebooting doesn't fix the problem. I have to completely uninstall Illustrator, then re-install it before it will work again. And even then, if I try to open the ExtendScript-corrupted file the whole Illustrator app gets corrupted and needs to be reinstalled.
Oh, also Illustrator itself shows up as "(Not responding)" while the script is running, but the ESTK console clearly shows that the script is chugging along as expected.
Specifics about the script:
There are 4 "Buttons" on the document, and a library full of nearly-identical symbols in the Library (different colored backgrounds for the buttons).
The script cycles through every symbol in the library, replacing and deleting instances of the previous symbol.
Then, for each symbol, it cycles through an array (technically an object-literal) of { language-code: "string" } pairs, and saves a .png of each artboard for each word.
What follows is a pared-down version of the full script:
(I tried to add a few $.sleep(10); calls, hoping that maybe just a brief slowdown in the processes might help. It didn't.)
This script (in its original form) outputs a ton of files very, very quickly.

Are there best practices that I'm unaware of here that could be causing this corruption?

The only error I ever get is "Can't open illustration." There's never anything more helpful, so I have no idea what could be going wrong.

I have not had the time to look over your script but at a glance there are a few things I would handle differently…
Firstly returning a document to a given state… If you play with this snippet you can see that app.undo() returns to the last called app.redraw() if there is one else it undo's the whole script…

Secondly your symbols… You know you can just change the symbol instance's symbol reference…? If they are almost the same particualy size then its an easy swap…?

Ipod corrupted and can't connect.

Please can somebody help me.
My Ipod isn't detected by itunes when i connect it. Windows detects the ipod, it is all connected properly, i have the latest version of itunes.
The problem is that the files on the Ipod are corrupted.Button Reset doesn't work, and i can't use the Itunes restore feature because Itunes isn't detecting my Pod. I need some way of doing a hard reset on my ipod and removing/updating the corrupt files, without using itunes. I am also using a windows XP-SP2, not a Mac.
Here is a compiled screenshot of things that are wrong.

It does hurt to do that.
Use a rear port (the front ones are slaves and can be underpowered and flaky) and connect your iPod. Look in your Windows utilities and you should find Scandisk, run it, select your iPod, and see if it does any repairs. If it does then Restore your iPod in iTunes.
But use the rear port when you try this and disconnect any other USB devices other than your keyboard and mouse.
And do a safe eject in the future.

Music library is corrupt and can't be recove

okay- here's the deal. Had a Zen xtra for 2 years with no problems LOVED it! the battery started screwing up so I had purchased the extended warranty from best buy and turned it in for a brand new one. This is when it started giving me this error:"Your Music Library is Corrupted and cannot be recovered. Media Source will now revert to your most recent backup avaiable. Would you like to continue?"--no matter if I clicked yes or no, the following message pops up:"The PC Music library cannot be opened as the database engine is corrupted. Please run the microsoft jetengine 4.0 service pack 3 or above that is available at the microsoft website".--- I have the most current updates on my computer. I am running XP. I've tried deleting everything and starting over and still get the same thing. Don't know much about computers but is it pointing to the right database? Is there a registry that I need to erase? What is going on? Please help! ANYONE!!!!!! I need my music by this Thursday becasue I am going on vacation!!!

Switched from vista to W7 and can't locate my audiobook files in iTunes. help

My Vista os crashed, and I'm now using Windows 7 on the same desktop computer. I am not a teenager, considerably older!, and thus technology is not intuitive. I had backed up my files before the crash, and had music, but mostly audiobooks in my iTunes file. Now that I'm in Windows 7, and have downloaded iTunes again, how do I get to my old iTunes files? please help.

I'm suspecting that you're not using iPhoto properly.
1) Create a temporary folder on the desktop and put the pics there.
2) Open iPhoto and use the "Import" function to access the photos.

I have installed Firefox 4 twice, and each time I get a message that the file is corrupt and can't be opened.

I ordered a download of PagePlus X5 from Serif in the UK. The program is 706 MB. Several times, only 300+ MBs downloaded. The program had .exe but the partial download had .msi. The message that came up was "Setup was unable to find the msi package or patch . . ." Serif suggested I install Firefox as a web browser to see if the program would download. That is what I tried to do, and that is when I got the message that the file was corrupt. Serif is sending me a disk. Is there a disk for Firefox?

How large is your iPhone's storage? 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB? You can go to Settings > General > Usage, and that will tell you how much storage you have used and how much you have left. If the storage is truly almost full, then you would need to either delete files from your iPhone, or sync less files from iTunes to your iPhone.
